Update to prior review: STILL w communication issues. We never had rats in our restaurant. I clarified this with them. They are horrific with communication. The owner has a big ego. I only mentioned that it was pricey compared to our prior pest control. I never said we wouldn't move forward- in fact I told him to start service. We now work with another premium pest control company- HIGHLAND ECO PEST CONTROL. They have been amazing, responsive, professional and took care of our issues quickly and we use them for ongoing pest control. You've got mice? Got bugs? I'll keep this mega short. Elite Ops is excellent. When I have an issue in the house (or one of my rentals) that I have to address, I want any service provider to be 3 things: instructive, prompt, reasonably-priced. 1. Instructive -- Sidney at Elite Ops spent 20-30 minutes on the phone with me explaining why previous mouse exclusion and prevention methods failed at my place. It was helpful to understand how our situation occurred. 2. Prompt -- Sidney took my call on New Year's Eve and showed up 2 days later. 3. Reasonable -- It was only $127 for my initial pest service, which included a thorough scan of my tenant's apartment and recommendations moving forward. That was literally 1/5 the price a few other pest professionals quoted, and I appreciated that Sidney explained to me why that was the case. I only had this service done very recently at one of my rentals and it's too early to tell you the results yet - but Sidney sure made me feel confident. My only concern is there's no warranty or guarantee - if the treatment didn't work the first time around, you'll pay to bring them out again. I'm so glad that a friend referred me to Elite Ops. I bought a house in 2021 that I did not know had pest issues. After a horrendous experience with another company, a friend suggested that I call DJ. Within a week of his first visit to my house, the only creepy crawlies that I found in the house were dead, and after that, I didn't see them at all for months. DJ is now my go-to person for regular maintenance treatments and any other questions I may have that are pest-related (including good advice he gave me about dealing with Montgomery County's rat problem when the rats are not actually nesting on my property, which he confirmed). I panicked when I kept getting little bites on my wrists, arms, ankles, etc. My boyfriend got them too. This went on for weeks, so we did what any savvy person does: We did some Googling, searched high and low and in all crevices for evidence of bugs, found none, washed our sheets on high heat, put our mattress in a zippered protector, and waited. And still were getting bites! I was mortified, and my arms/wrists looked crazy. Time to call in a professional. Sidney was timely in responding to my inquiry, easy to schedule with, and explained the treatment process. The first visit, he examined our room to confirm my suspicions that we did have bed bugs. After 30 minutes of looking, he found none. I was upset because I didn't want to spend all this money to treat the wrong pest, but finally, bingo - a disgusting little colony of bugs and eggs in my upholstered headboard. I was FREAKING OUT. Treating for bed bugs is NOT easy. It's like moving out completely, keeping everything sealed in bags for weeks after washing it, and waiting, while you live in limbo. We had to throw away some stuff that we loved (our king size comforter that wouldn't fit in the wash, some pillows, and our upholstered headboard). Treatment for bed bugs is also expensive. So we knew we needed to hire a professional who could rid our beloved home of these uninvited pests! We felt confident hiring Sidney, and after one treatment, I noticed an almost immediate decrease in bites. After two treatments, NO BITES, and a few months after our third treatment, I think our home is bedbug free. We have two dogs and the treatment was completely pet safe, too. The dogs needed to stay out of the house the day of treatment for it to dry. We live in Baltimore and Sidney was great about traveling to us. read more

We had an phenomenal experience with the technician who came out to our home. We have been preparing to put it on the market for the last year, and I'm not sure what caused it but we began seeing an influx of ants and then...roaches! (GASP) We've never, ever had a pest issue, so please know we were disturbed and scared out of our wits. I came to Yelp as I usually do in hopes to find a company who was effective and affordable--Elite Ops came highly recommended. The tech (sorry I can't recall his name :/) was so personable, understanding, and knowledgable about the issue--as roaches can be an uncomfortable and embarrassing issue to have. He killed an entire ant colony in the front yard which only a few days later seemed to solve the ant issue completely. After two weeks of the roach treatment throughout the 3-story home, I only found 3 roaches turn up dead while deep cleaning--which he warned me would be the case. Thanks to Elite Ops we were completely pest-free for the entire summer, I couldn't be more pleased with the service. Sidney was on time and super professional. I have been having ant problems since April and tried to take care of it on my own but it was beyond my control at this point. Last summer I called a different exterminator that charged more money but they never could identify points of entry. I cannot say enough good things about DJ and Elite Ops exterminators. We live in a 100 year old home and have been dealing with a number of critters the past few years. We have hired exterminators before, but during the change of seasons we always see ants and drain flies. Large Millipedes are also an ongoing issue during the spring and summer.
