But here I am...I found a small mouse in my kitchen and took every step possible to trap it using several types of traps (over 2 dozen...I know it was excessive but didn't want to take chances). I used all sorts of bait - bacon, peanut butter, the attractant gel, you name it - on rotation but nothing. Meanwhile, droppings continued to appear. I was cleaning, including bleaching, everything twice a day - morning and night. I even set up my google home hub in the kitchen and the mouse would just skip over the traps despite me placing fresh bait every two days using the proper gloves. I mean, I did everything, following all the rules. It was just tiring so I gave in and researched different companies. I considered the national brand companies but many of my neighbors had horrible experiences that left their issues unresolved, leaving them to turn to Alexandria Pest Services. I called the company yesterday (Tuesday) and had the most pleasant experience with Destiny. She booked me for an appointment the next day (Wed). I've never used pest control services so she was gracious enough to thoroughly answer my questions and walk me through what the appointment would look like, including any necessary follow ups. She was also kind enough to call me prior to the appointment to keep me updated on the inspector's visit, which I honestly appreciated. Now as for the visit - I had the pleasure of working with their Lead Inspector, Allan. Let me tell you, I never once imagined that a pest control appointment would be one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in a long time. But that's also why I'm sitting here writing this review. Allan was pure goodness. His knowledge and expertise was clear from the get go, but this is also a people business. And as a homeowner, I want to entrust my property in the best hands. APS delivered that with Allan. He provided substantive information that he didn't have to bother sharing and honestly, I feel so much more informed with facts that I couldn't get from any of the forums on this stuff. I haven't purchased any service yet because today was just an inspection, which Allan conducted thoroughly from my kitchen to the attic. But to be quite frank, even if this inspection wasn't free, it would have been worth every penny. Do not go anywhere else. Just don't. Good businesses like APS need to be taken care of. Joe Rossi came by and did a thorough inspection of my kitchen and sealed off possible gaps, holes, and entryways that he located. Joe was incredibly friendly, did a great job of explaining what he saw upon his inspection, and how he was going about fixing problem areas, and the cost was incredibly reasonable.
