Three treatments and $1200 later, our bedbug problem was not just unaffected, but actively MADE WORSE by the technicians utter incompetency and lack of care. I'm writing this review to spare others the expense, pain, itching, and emotional drain of dealing with this totally incompetent and untrustworthy company. MyExterminator, AKA Enviro-Tech Pest Services (Both companies in the contract) portrayed themselves as experienced bedbug professionals who assured us their treatment would easily take care of our bedbug problem. After forking over $1200 for a 2-spray treatment, we were greeted by Chris the technician, who immediately dispelled any illusions we had about MyExterminator's professionalism. He arrived to every appointment over two hours before the appointment we set (and took time off work to be at home for). He clearly was putting in the bare minimum effort, and after telling us "this will be too easy," applied the spray with utter carelessness and was not thorough at all. He didn't even bother to lift or move objects to spray behind/under. Worse, MyExterminator's technician clearly didn't know ANYTHING about bedbugs. When shown the bed-bags we had around our mattresses (a basic treatment step mentioned by just about every online source out there), he cluelessly asked "what's with those bed condoms??" Worse, the technician didn't have a clue about what the chemicals he was using were or what they did. The second time he came to treat our home, he was so checked-out that he mistakenly used Tallstar (general bug spray for roaches) instead of CB80 (spray formulated primarily for bedbugs). When my roommate caught the mistake, he called a manager at MyExterminator who told him "Sorry about that, we'll have him switch chemicals." The manager proceeded to call the tech and tell him privately "not to worry" about spraying the wrong chemical and that they were "basically the same." Of course the tech told us this and left without fixing his mistake. Before hiring them, MyExterminator had promised us verbally numerous times that the 2-treatment spray came with a 1 month warranty, during which we would get a free follow-up treatment if we found a live bedbug. Of course, MyExterminator's careless treatment was ineffective, and when we called back to ask for our treatment under warranty, MyExterminator claimed the warranty "wasn't in the contract" and that they wouldn't honor it. After confronting them about their verbal promises, MyExterminator claimed to have a "computer malfunction", hung up, and ghosted us for a few hours. Though MyExterminator eventualy agreed to honor the warranty they promised us, when the technician arrived, he once again sprayed in a careless manner. Worse, he failed to close the bed-bags on our mattresses again before he left, allowing the bedbugs trapped inside to escape back into the home. The tech's completely reckless conduct actively made our bedbug problem worse. Take your money elsewhere!

We've not had any issues with bugs, spiders, or termites, and we live in a wooded area! Also, we have a crawl space under the entire house and still no issues. This is important to us because with small dogs, even a spider bite could kill them, and so we're glad Mike and Slug-A-Bug have been making sure pests don't find a home here! I was embarrassed because I am a very clean person but have been seeing big American Cockroaches in my basement apartment and was feeling completely overwhelmed--especially being stuck at home recovering from surgery. Mike came out on 5/8 to do an interior/exterior treatment, and WOW... these bugs didn't know what hit them!! That very night, I could tell the treatment was working. One roach was already stuck in a sticky trap, and another looked sluggish--until it crawled onto the ceiling and flew at me! (Yes, I found out the hard way that roaches can fly. LOL) Needless to say I stayed the night at my parents. When I came back the next morning, it was dead in a trap--and since then, I've found a few more dead roaches in traps and even some dead camel/cave crickets (bonus it's working on them!). The difference has been huge, and I finally feel like I'm getting my peace of mind back. They moved; their roaches apparently chose to stay. Having met these people, I can see the roaches' point. But I digress. Pat promised to come in with weapons of mass bug destruction; annihilating the pests with great vengeance and furious anger. Actually, I made that part up. He did, however, address our primary concern--how to exterminate the bugs without harming our two small dogs. We were assured that he could easily solve the problem without presenting any risk to our pets whatsoever. Fortunately, the bug problem was confined to the kitchen, so Pat instructed us to remove everything from the cabinets and drawers for his initial visit. And yes, he came out himself to do the work--no underling technicians or interns. He was prompt, courteous, and quick; and the chemical(s) he used were surprisingly subtle. I was fully expecting the smell of napalm to linger for days, but that just wasn't the case. Aside from the complete contents of our kitchen being temporarily housed in the dining room, you'd never know an exterminator had been here. Pat explained that the initial treatment was the big one, but he would return for two additional smaller treatments over the next few weeks. For those, we wouldn't even have to clear out the cabinets. These would just be "touch-ups", as he put it. While Pat explained that these types of problems don't simply go away overnight, ours almost did. We saw a marked improvement immediately, and by the time he returned for the first touch-up, we weren't even finding dead bugs anymore. It's like they were never here. And most importantly, the dogs are perfectly fine. I'd highly recommend Pat's based on this experience alone, but the fact that he also came in significantly cheaper than other estimates absolutely sealed the deal. Knowing that Pat also treats for termites and other pest-preventive measures, I gleefully cancelled a prior contract with a much larger service I'd been overpaying for years--a company that wasn't capable of handling the roach problem because of our dog situation. I'm looking forward to giving that business to Pat's for years to come, and recommending him to our new (and considerably better) neighbors as well.

A German yellow jacket nest activity was spotted right to the left side of a soffit of a bay window. The technician spoke with the occupant and advised him about the treatment as a precautionary measures. A direct treatment was made into the nest by the entry points and a broadcast treatment around the front of the house, cracks and crevices to avoid a recolonizing situation or future stinging insect nests. The technician did a thorough job. I didn't have to call the company a second time during the 45 days warranty period. Will hire again if I need to resolve a pest issue.

On June 26, I contacted Suburban Pest Services after noticing siding near my roof had been pushed…read moreout, an area where a raccoon had entered my attic two years earlier. I told them I had not seen or heard any animals, but wanted the attic inspected to rule out another intrusion. Later that day, Luke came out and gave me a $625 estimate, which was about twice what I expected, that included: 1. Setting a raccoon trap in the attic 2. Installing metal flashing over the hole 3. Securing the siding with nails or screws 4. Returning to remove the trap However, none of that happened. No one returned until June 30, when Mike, who handled the rest of the job, arrived. He was friendly, polite, and professional, and he did try to follow through on tasks. But the overall approach was amateurish and missed the point entirely: * Mike never inspected the attic, the primary service I requested. Instead, he briefly shined a light into the roof opening from outside. * He set a trap on the roof, not inside the attic. After catching a squirrel on July 1, he removed the trap from the roof and pushed the siding back but didn't secure it with flashing or fasteners (likely to allow any possible animal to exit). * On July 2, the siding popped out again, without a trap in place to confirm whether it was animal activity or attic pressure. That is the day that I took the attached video thinking that there may still be a possibility of a raccoon in the attic, but without the inspection or a trap up there, there was no way of telling at that time. * He then moved traps to the backyard, setting them during daylight. That caught a rabbit and two squirrels, but had nothing to do with the suspected attic problem. That's not how professional attic inspections or wildlife exclusions are handled. A trained operator would: 1. Inspect the inside of the attic thoroughly 2. Identify the exact entry point 3. Place traps or exclude wildlife along common entry routes (like the roof or downspout) 4. Properly seal and repair structural openings Instead, they deployed a scattershot trapping strategy and ignored the core issue. I sent two emails, one on July 3 with video evidence, another on July 7 detailing concerns, along with multiple phone calls. None were responded to, even after the receptionist said they reached the manager on July 8. On July 5, I installed a motion-activated camera in the attic. It showed no signs of animal presence, which means the siding was most likely pushed out by attic pressurization, not wildlife. Mike returned on July 9, removed the backyard traps, and sealed the hole near the roof as best he could (though he noted no studs were available for proper flashing). Bottom line: * Mike was courteous and did show up, but the job was not done professionally * The attic was never inspected * The estimate was not followed * The trap placement was misdirected, catching non-target animals * The communication was frustratingly poor, my calls and emails were ignored * The service was prolonged and ineffective, leaving me to self-diagnose and self-resolve Despite paying the full $625, I'm unhappy with the outcome. If you hire this company, expect a friendly technician, but also prepare to ask exactly what inspection and sealing methods they'll use, and be ready to follow up repeatedly. This was a very frustrating experience to confirm that no animal was in my attic. Certainly not worth the value. And I will never be a repeat customer. But Mike was a really nice guy... They do what they say they are going to do when they say they are going to do it, they have a great customer portal, they send receipts, and ask for feedback. I'm impressed with their responsiveness, the effectiveness of treatment, and the employees' work ethic. You can sign up for as little or as much as you need, no heavy sales gimmicks. I believe the fact that they are owner managed and not a national chain has a lot to do with it.
