Sometime in the first part of August we contracted with Senate to have them clear debris and old insulation from the attic of our circa 1975 house and replace it with new insulation. The work was completed, but now, several weeks later, our ceilings have cracked VERY bad and are falling in. We must hire a contractor/builder to repair and/or replace the ceilings on the entire 2nd floor of our home. When we informed Senate of this they wrote to say this is not uncommon in homes built in the 70s and 80s. We feel they ought to have informed us of this fact before beginning the work. They now refuse to give us their insurance provider's information so that we can submit a claim. We're MOST unhappy with them. read more

Massive mistake calling @SenatePest wanting to support a local company rather than national company. Brett Seace was my first contact on 12-28-22 and he made so many promises. Nothing he told me proved to be true or accurate. Planned consultation 12-28-22 and believed Brett's promises and money back guarantee. First treatment started 12-29-22. Everything Brett promised was a lie. 1. That I would see results after the first treatment. No results AFTER SIX TREATMENTS! 2. That they stood behind their products. THEY DO NOT! 3. That they stayed with and supported their customers until the problem was solved. DID NOT SEE THIS as I was the one calling and begging for another treatment. Forced to wait TEN DAYS between treatments before starting the begging again. Forced to pay over $700 for a week in a hotel just to avoid getting attacked and tormented in my own home. Found out during scheduling FOURTH treatment and hat they had a vitally important Tip Sheet that I was NEVER provided. EVERYTHING that Customer Service joke Jodeci Martin and THREE technicians told me verbally was a complete contradiction to the Tip Sheet. Told to vacuum every day. Tip Sheet instructed to wait TWO WEEKS before vacuuming or cleaning floors. I originally called because I thought I saw a baby roach. I signed up for a bi monthly service to spray outside my house. I have seen fewer bugs in my house since they've been spraying. But my first visit was a bit jumbled. The tech was supposed to set out traps that he would check two weeks later. When the tech came to check the traps two weeks later we realized the first guy had never set them. He also did not spray for carpet beetles in he basement, as he was supposed to, because there were new signs of damage to the carpet. The second guy did put out traps, but no one has ever checked them. I have come to realize that what I thought was a baby roach was actually a carpet beetle; however I Senate spray the outside of my house every other month because there are fewer bugs. read more

I have an ongoing problem with ants. Nothing seems to stop them getting into my house. I did sprays and traps and nothing worked. I called Senate and they did whatever they do and now I can enter my kitchen without having to check the counters for those annoying little insects. They also made my mouse problem go away. Flash back to five years ago, when we just moved into our new house and discovered bugs in the basement and a big mosquito problem in the back yard. We found Senate Termite & Pest Control through a recommendation by a neighbor and they promptly came out and took care of the indoor issues. Following this, we setup a yearly mosquito treatment plan and have never looked back. Throughout the pandemic we spent a lot of time in the backyard and mosquito bites were extremely rare to the point they didn't seem to exist. Please don't waste your time with these people. Pay close attention to anything you sign. They don't put the customer first. Of course every business wants money. But, getting the money through shady contract agreements is not the right way to do the business. Whether you like the service or not, you are at the losing end. Because the contract is written in such a way to benefit only the business and not the customer. The technician who showed up first to provide a free assessment to capture mice. He provided 2 numbers 450$ initial fee and 119$ after 60 days. I was asked to sign a paper. I saw those two numbers and signed the contract. In retrospective I should have read the entire contract. The technician also never mentioned about recurring 119$ payment every 60 days. But, they keep talking about "you are covered for the entire year". Setting up the baits is the first thing they do. Second time they come and check the baits. For this it costed me 450$ + 119$ already. 3rd time technician showed up randomly without any notice. Only then I realized about the recurring 60 day visit + 119$. I said I need to talk their management and I was not sure about the recurring 119$ payments. he left. Next time they sent another technician without any heads up. I was in the middle of work as I work from home. The technician literally did NOT do anything and they simply charged me 119$ for services I haven't received or approved of. They simply said the technician did an "exterior examination", which is a bunch of baloney. Once I realized that they charged me for nothing, I told them I'm not happy with their business and I want to cancel it. There's no negotiation and there's no explanation of what else could be done in a mutually agreeable way. I was told I have to pay around 250$ for cancelling the contract. The bottom line is, it's a rip off for the service they provide and customer is always at the losing end. At least explain to the customer clearly what the customer is getting into with these contracts. Either don't sign the contract or negotiate with them and have it in writing. If you give them your credit card number, monitor their automated charges. read more

Every time a wasp nest shows up they are always on time quick and reliable for move it. When I call they always answer and are polite. I've had them for 3 years. I pay 100/quarter. If I could change one thing it would be that the company sent you an email or at least a text message notification telling you they are coming bye in advance. I have been a huge fan of this company, but I will use and recommend someone else. I had a scheduled appointment for my yearly inspection. The time had been set for over two weeks at 6pm. This is because I work till just before that. On the day of the inspection, the inspector called to confirm. He seemed to want to come earlier, however I reminded him of the confirmed time. He then appeared to become annoyed and demanded to know when I would get home, and where I was at that moment. What either of those had to do with my appointment is beyond me. I was spoken to as if I owed him something or HAD to accommodate his needs,! Being rude and taking your frustrations out on a client is not the best business practices. The foam that they installed in the roofing expanded with the heat and dripped on the site of me and my neighbor's home.
