January 21, 2026 Senate called me to make a no obligation inspection visit. The rep arrived and kept talking about $3000. Said I paid this 42 months ago and contract was up. Could I see something in writing -- NO. You can look at my tablet and read the contract. Knowing me, I would never pay $3000. So I looked up my records $206 is what I paid them. Naturally I "showed" him to the door. read more

The Gentlemen exterminators always come on time and do a very good work for the pest control, very professional. Thank you.

James from Senate Exterminator has been helping me solve a rodent problem at home. By phone, text and in person he is incredibly communicative, professional, smart, attentive and available. This is the first time I have had to address something like this, and I didn't know what to expect. James has simply been amazing. read more

Massive mistake calling @SenatePest wanting to support a local company rather than national company. Brett Seace was my first contact on 12-28-22 and he made so many promises. Nothing he told me proved to be true or accurate. Planned consultation 12-28-22 and believed Brett's promises and money back guarantee. First treatment started 12-29-22. Everything Brett promised was a lie. 1. That I would see results after the first treatment. No results AFTER SIX TREATMENTS! 2. That they stood behind their products. THEY DO NOT! 3. That they stayed with and supported their customers until the problem was solved. DID NOT SEE THIS as I was the one calling and begging for another treatment. Forced to wait TEN DAYS between treatments before starting the begging again. Forced to pay over $700 for a week in a hotel just to avoid getting attacked and tormented in my own home. Found out during scheduling FOURTH treatment and hat they had a vitally important Tip Sheet that I was NEVER provided. EVERYTHING that Customer Service joke Jodeci Martin and THREE technicians told me verbally was a complete contradiction to the Tip Sheet. Told to vacuum every day. Tip Sheet instructed to wait TWO WEEKS before vacuuming or cleaning floors. Knew nothing about the prep work that would have saved me over a month of serious medical issues, costs for a hotel, and being bitten alive in my own home. read more

Senate Termite & Pest Control - Pest Control Near Me - Manassas, Virginia

Sometime in the first part of August we contracted with Senate to have them clear debris and old insulation from the attic of our circa 1975 house and replace it with new insulation. The work was completed, but now, several weeks later, our ceilings have cracked VERY bad and are falling in. We must hire a contractor/builder to repair and/or replace the ceilings on the entire 2nd floor of our home. When we informed Senate of this they wrote to say this is not uncommon in homes built in the 70s and 80s. We feel they ought to have informed us of this fact before beginning the work. They now refuse to give us their insurance provider's information so that we can submit a claim. We're MOST unhappy with them. read more

This company breached our contract by not sending a technician for 175 days, then lied and refused to take responsibility for it. They kept charging me every month while I had the burden of refilling the mousse bait while fighting for my life from Stage III Cancer. When I wrote them about a refund they lied. When I filed a Dispute with my credit card, they lied. Do NOT do business with these nasty liars!!! They stole $450 while I obviously could not work. They are greedy, lying jerks with no ethics. read more

The service technician, Matt K., was outstanding. He was courteous, friendly, thorough and very efficient. He listened to our concerns carefully and explained everything clearly. He wore shoe protectors to keep our carpet clean and took great care to protect our property. Matt displayed both a strong and personable customer satisfaction attitude and provided an overall excellent service experience. Thank you Matt for doing an exceptional job! Based on this and previous service experiences, we highly recommend Senate Pest Control. They will treat your home with great care and working with them is very easy. read more

I was given an estimate and lied to 100%. A BS used car salesman came out to my house and gave me an estimate. I never agreed. HE TOLD ME I COULD CANCEL. I have cancer & just got out of the hospital on chemotherapy. Without any notice they show up to my house. I turn them away. I was charged $395 FOR ZERO SERVICE. The manager who was angry a " woman" had the nerve to question him told me he would not refund a penny despite literally doing absolutely nothing!!!!! DO NOT USE THEM !! Do Not TRUST THEM! THEY ARE FRAUDS & Scammers. BEWARE!!!!'nnnnnnnnnnnnn read more

I have used senate for multiple years and never requested any extra visits or service in between my quarterly visits. The one time I get sugar ants in my kitchen I am unable to get anyone to come out and do a same day service even though multiple trucks pass my house on the way to their main office. Today I am researching new companies so I can cancel my service. read more

I don't post too many reviews, but I was shocked at how rude the person who came to do an estimate was. He didn't wear a mask and he didn't cover his shoes, which shocked me. He became loud and, in my opinion, angry, when I said I was waiting on another estimate. He made me really nervous. Senate, this fellow you have on staff is costing you business. read more

Today's issue - mice. Don walked me through basement and pointed out problem areas and informed me about future prevention.Don was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He also answered my questions about my next appointment to eradicate pantry moths. Again, very knowledgeable and helpful. He even gave me some "moth traps" to set out in the meantime. Excellent customer service that's well appreciated! read more

I have an ongoing problem with ants. Nothing seems to stop them getting into my house. I did sprays and traps and nothing worked. I called Senate and they did whatever they do and now I can enter my kitchen without having to check the counters for those annoying little insects. They also made my mouse problem go away. Not sure why the outdoors whats to be in my indoors, but working with Senate has helped keep the two separate. read more

I originally called because I thought I saw a baby roach. I signed up for a bi monthly service to spray outside my house. I have seen fewer bugs in my house since they've been spraying. But my first visit was a bit jumbled. The tech was supposed to set out traps that he would check two weeks later. When the tech came to check the traps two weeks later we realized the first guy had never set them. He also did not spray for carpet beetles in he basement, as he was supposed to, because there were new signs of damage to the carpet. The second guy did put out traps, but no one has ever checked them. I have come to realize that what I thought was a baby roach was actually a carpet beetle; however I Senate spray the outside of my house every other month because there are fewer bugs. read more

Great team, wonderful service. Always on time. I've been with Senate for over 10 years now and I give them 5-stars for the long term of good, quality service inside the home and around our perimeter. Corey has been great. (We just saw him do battle with a bunch of yellow jackets in one of our old clay pots :) Thank much, man! It's always good to see you.) Their customer service and their willingness to do supplemental visits is really what sets them apart in my eyes. It's one thing to say "we'll come when you call" in order to get you to sign the contract...it's another thing to stick by it. And over the years, they have. So we added their mosquito service to our termite treatments this year. Wish they had a COVID-19 treatment to go along with it! read more

Flash back to five years ago, when we just moved into our new house and discovered bugs in the basement and a big mosquito problem in the back yard. We found Senate Termite & Pest Control through a recommendation by a neighbor and they promptly came out and took care of the indoor issues. Following this, we setup a yearly mosquito treatment plan and have never looked back. Throughout the pandemic we spent a lot of time in the backyard and mosquito bites were extremely rare to the point they didn't seem to exist. I think it even helped our neighbors with their mosquitos. Lovely and prompt company with great customer support and frequent communication. I highly recommend this company for your big treatment and maintenance needs!! read more

These guys have been terrific as far as professionalism and timeliness of response to phone calls. It has taken a while to solve our mouse problem but they have come out every time I have asked and after 4-5 months I think we have the problem solved. I highly recommend them! read more

Every time a wasp nest shows up they are always on time quick and reliable for move it. When I call they always answer and are polite. I've had them for 3 years. I pay 100/quarter. If I could change one thing it would be that the company sent you an email or at least a text message notification telling you they are coming bye in advance. As far as I can remember they always just show up read more

Please don't waste your time with these people. Pay close attention to anything you sign. They don't put the customer first. Of course every business wants money. But, getting the money through shady contract agreements is not the right way to do the business. Whether you like the service or not, you are at the losing end. Because the contract is written in such a way to benefit only the business and not the customer. The technician who showed up first to provide a free assessment to capture mice. He provided 2 numbers 450$ initial fee and 119$ after 60 days. I was asked to sign a paper. I saw those two numbers and signed the contract. In retrospective I should have read the entire contract. The technician also never mentioned about recurring 119$ payment every 60 days. But, they keep talking about "you are covered for the entire year". Setting up the baits is the first thing they do. Second time they come and check the baits. For this it costed me 450$ + 119$ already. 3rd time technician showed up randomly without any notice. Only then I realized about the recurring 60 day visit + 119$. I said I need to talk their management and I was not sure about the recurring 119$ payments. he left. Next time they sent another technician without any heads up. I was in the middle of work as I work from home. The technician literally did NOT do anything and they simply charged me 119$ for services I haven't received or approved of. They simply said the technician did an "exterior examination", which is a bunch of baloney. Once I realized that they charged me for nothing, I told them I'm not happy with their business and I want to cancel it. There's no negotiation and there's no explanation of what else could be done in a mutually agreeable way. I was told I have to pay around 250$ for cancelling the contract. The bottom line is, it's a rip off for the service they provide and customer is always at the losing end. At least explain to the customer clearly what the customer is getting into with these contracts. Either don't sign the contract or negotiate with them and have it in writing. If you give them your credit card number, monitor their automated charges. read more

Overall have been satisfied with the service provide. Although I am provided with advance phone call that they will service I find that they do not knock or ring the doorbell to let me know they have arrived. That would then be perfect. I also hope that as a continuous customer a discount could be provided since this service is not cheap. Maybe a ladder type discount for each year then an additional special discount every fifth year . read more

Horrible business practices, no customer service. Literally save your money and find another company.

When I called the rep I talked to was familiar with my concerns. The appointment was scheduled within a week. I was waiting at 3pm today (November 15). I called at 3:45 because I had not heard from anyone. There wasn't an answer I left a message and it's now 9:02pm and still no show and no call! Way To Go ANGI'S LIST! read more

I have been a huge fan of this company, but I will use and recommend someone else. I had a scheduled appointment for my yearly inspection. The time had been set for over two weeks at 6pm. This is because I work till just before that. On the day of the inspection, the inspector called to confirm. He seemed to want to come earlier, however I reminded him of the confirmed time. He then appeared to become annoyed and demanded to know when I would get home, and where I was at that moment. What either of those had to do with my appointment is beyond me. I was spoken to as if I owed him something or HAD to accommodate his needs,! Being rude and taking your frustrations out on a client is not the best business practices. I canceled on the spot and will call a different company. read more

When we first moved to Woodbridge, we used...another pest control company and they royally sucked. Our roach problem kept getting worse and worse. We finally dumped them and contacted Senate. Since then, we have received the most excellent service possible. Besides their scheduled visits, they are always willing to come out when we call and need touch up service and the technicians and call center are always friendly and very capable. Literally, if I could, I would leave a 10 star review. I highly recommend this company to anyone. You won't be disappointed. read more

The folks at Senate are very responsive when I have an issue and they show up on schedule for my quarterly maintenance. I live in an old house and have mouse 'issues'. We've been able to manage the problem and if there is ever an uptick in critters, someone from Senate comes out to help. I'm thankful for their service. read more

Superior knowledge to my previous pest control company. Pandemic brought restaurant closers and mice to our house. My previous company battled mice for months. No success. Senate sent an experienced tech who identified the point of entry immediately. They really knew their pest control information. My company has a relationship with some of the very large pest control companies. They are very expensive. Senate gave me a very fair price with a extremely experienced staff. My wife hates mice. After months of losing this battle with my previous company Senate brought peace to our house . Was impressed with the knowledge of the technicians who resolved our mice issue read more

Senate did a great job on my termite problem in my home. I originally used the MD location but when I moved to VA I wanted to stick with them because the service was so good. Highly recommend them for their great customer service, product knowledge, price point and most importantly the bugs haven't come back. Thank you Senate - I will be a customer for life! read more

Senate came and installed insulation in my home. The job was well done so I give credit for that. This experience however, was different than my first one with Senate was. The foam that they installed in the roofing expanded with the heat and dripped on the site of me and my neighbor's home. The bad part was that it took over a week for them to put me in a schedule as I was racing against time to put my home on the market. When they came out, the issue was resolved. read more

We had an excellent experience with Senate. We discovered termites after opening walls to do plumbing work. I consulted with four different pest control companies before deciding on Senate. They were the most professional, provided sound information regarding the visible issue, what we might not see - how to determine that - and a range of options for addressing our problem. They showed up prepared, which was a big deal since one company showed up without even a flashlight to take a look, and another could only take pictures and then "ask someone who would know more". They guy that showed up for Senate had his gear, was prepared to answer my million and one questions fully, and obviously knew his stuff. They got us on the books quickly, and the techs who came to do the work were courteous, professional, thorough, and beyond respectful of our property. They took such care around areas that needed a more delicate touch. We will definitely be keeping them in our contacts for future business. read more
