Mural in the dining room is gorgeous

This place is in a cute little strip mall. Easy parking. The dining area is separate from the Bar area and spacious. Service was fast, attentive and super friendly. Parking was easy-breezy. This establishment is clean, well organized and the menu rocks. We had a great time a great meal and look forward to returning.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one other table there- not busy. We ordered margaritas- pretty good. We got the chips and salsa, I loved the salsa, it was very tasty! The appetizer we got was the fiesta app, I think it came with calamari, elote, fries and wings. We were not crazy about the wings, they were not warm, the French fries were soggy and not cooked fully. The calamari was alright, and elote was ok. Nothing outrageous. For our entree we had to remind the server that we didn't order yet. We finally got our food and it was pretty good. Carne asada and Texans fajita. I will probably be back, but now I know not to order that sampler app! Not complaining but for a full summary of the lunch- The bill was about $90 for an app, two drinks and two entrées.

Our first visit here was great! The service was quick and so friendly! Loved the atmosphere! The food and drinks were wonderful, and the prices were so reasonable. The restaurant is very spacious and has a friendly crowd. We ordered nachos and an enchilada and a burrito. Everything was fresh and tasty! The rice and beans were delicious, and the churros with the fudge sauce were sooooo good! We plan to go back when we're in the area to try more dishes!

After hearing great things about the Blue Taco, we finally decided it was worth a visit and they did not disappoint!! I had 3 tacos ( pork, chicken, and steak) Absolutely Delicious! So fresh, served with fresh cilantro and a radish garnish. I had a yummy white sangria which was a perfect pairing. The decor is simple yet charming displaying a few pieces of custom artwork. Our server was actually an owner named Freddy, who treated us like family from the second we walked in. My wife and I shared a delicious dessert and I finished with a perfect Mexican Coffee. Sorry Taco Dive Bar (Peekskill waterfront), there's a new taco contender in town! There is no shortage of great restaurants in that area of Rt.6, but if you are a taco lover, I do not think you will regret a visit into the Blue Taco!ENJOY!

Beautiful mural in the restaurant.

order enchilada mole, and was freaking delicious, not too spicy able to enjoy the taste of the food. Bartender and waitress was really nice, my wife and I enjoyed it much, definitely be coming back!

Margarita- Classic
Trisha W.

First time coming based on a recommendation. Loved the appetizer. Burrito lacked the same luster in seasoning as appetizer. Margarita didn't hit well with me either but it was a classic next time I'll try something different. I highly recommend. Came in at 9pm on a Saturday and definitely will be back.

Came in for lunch. Brand new restaurant in Mahopac with very reasonable prices. The food was delicious. The Margarita was perfect. The calamari has a little kick in the seasoning. The shrimp tacos were perfectly cooked, seasoned, and just delicious. And the sevice is excellent- family owned and they take a lot of pride in their restaurant. Definitely warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of fhe family. Definitely plan to come back to try more on the menu!

But it was a good meal. The Cottage Pie was pretty good..again, I prefer the classics so I would rather a Shepherd's Pie ( with seasoned ground lamb and not beer ), but it was still a nice comfort meal. The decor is cute..I miss the dim light and warm / dark woods and colors that you expect in an Irish pub. I met the owner on the first visit and she is very nice and I wish her great luck..but the kids who work there have very little passion or personality unfortunately. This really is a nice little place and I hope it succeeds..but it has a few up hill issues..first is its smack in the center of many already establishment great restaurants the other big one is this: 75% of people who live up here moved from Southern Westchester or the Bronx..what does that mean? ..it means we all grew up on Rorys!!! And that is what we are seeking up here. Anyway, nice little place for a comfort meal if you are tired of Good Chinese or Italian. Enjoy!

Food comes out hot, portions are serious, and nobody leaves hungry or emotionally unsettled, which after a long week is a miracle. This is real comfort food. The kind where you lean back, loosen the belt, and say, "Alright... that hit." Service is solid, no rush, no attitude. They let you eat like a human being. Five stars. Our service throughout the meal was excellent with both our server and the manager (or owner?) checking in consistently. I really liked the decor and music as well. The decor is minimalistic, but I really liked how clean everything felt. I asked about the music -- it was 80s and 90s rock like Journey and Elton John and it matched our tastes perfectly for the particular moment in time we were there. They said they use pandora and the music varies from night to night, but we were fans. The food is where things weren't quite up to 5 stars, which is why the rating. We started with an autumn (squash) soup and wedge salad. The soup was good or maybe even a little better than good, but not great. For me, the salad was the same way. It comes with candied bacon and that just doesn't fit the profile of bleu cheese and iceberg. I ended up eating the salad without the bacon and then having the bacon at the end as an "opening dessert." The salad was super fresh and the dressing was well done. And the bacon alone was delicious--just not great together for my palate. We went with a couple handmade pasta dishes as our mains and they were both good. Again, not quite great. I liked mine better than my wife's. That is sis's new favorite was well named to my mind. It was spicy, but not overly so and the tomato and broccoli added depth to the dish that was missing from my wife's pasta. I would 100% come back. If we do, I think we'd split a pasta and a main. Some of the fish dishes we saw go by looked fantastic. The one negative to me was an occasional whiff of marijuana. I'm totally fine with someone taking a break to calm themselves if that's what they need. I just don't want to smell that while I'm eating, especially in a restaurant that is otherwise very very nice.

The Vinyl Room is a bar, restaurant, record shop and arcade that opened in Wappingers Falls, New…read moreYork in 2017. It was founded by John Kihlmire. On a trip to Colorado, Kihlmire visited a shop that featured an abundance of books and records. He came up with an idea to open a similar shop that would also feature craft beer. Kihlmire initially opened The Vinyl Room by himself in Wappingers Falls. In addition to beer, records, and video games, customers could also enjoy pizza by ordering it through a special window that connected to the Wagon Wheel next door. Although the concept was well-received, the small space and constraints from the landlord limited the full potential of the business. In July 2021, it moved to a new space at 344 Main Street in Beacon. Customers could order food from Roma Nova across the street. Unfortunately, the space was still too small and the owners received numerous noise complaints from apartment tenants upstairs. In August 2023, The Vinyl Room moved down the street to 393 Main Street to their third (and hopefully forever) location. For the latest version of the business, childhood friend Kane Licari came on board as a partner. This also marks the first time that The Vinyl Room features a kitchen with their own food. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, wraps, salads, rice bowls, tacos, wings, and various bar bites. In addition to craft beer, the bar also serves wine, craft cocktails, and mocktails. I recently visited The Vinyl Room for lunch with my two sons while we were visiting Beacon. Any place that features craft beer, records, and classic arcade cabinets sounds like Heaven to someone like me. I really liked the whole vibe of the interior with the industrial design and all of the pop culture and music references. My sons and I grabbed a booth and looked over the menu. For food, I had the "Crunchy Chicken Bowl" (sushi rice, pickled onions, avocado, arugula, charred corn, chili garlic crunch, creamy garlic sauce), my older son had the "Grilled Cheese" (Vermont white cheddar, havarti, slow roasted onions, roasted garlic butter, sourdough), and my younger son had the "Return of The Mac" (smoked gouda Vermont cheddar cream, buttery breadcrumbs). We were all very happy with our choices! To drink, I had a draught pour of Upward Brewing's "Summer Camp" (Helles Lager). After finishing our delicious meal, I scrolled through the impressive record collection. Then we all headed downstairs to have a blast in the arcade. Before leaving, I enjoyed a pour of Equilibrium Brewery's "Tidal Balance" (Double IPA; collab w/ Sand City Brewing). We all had such a fun experience at The Vinyl Room and we hope to return in the future!

We went around 5pm, and saw the sign "Seat Yourself & Order At The Bar". Ok... So I asked a bartender for 2 menus, and found a booth. We decided quickly, and I made my way to the bar. Others were ahead of me, so I patiently waited to order: Tripple Smash Burger, Honey Buffalo Salad, Purple Rain (2), Diet Coke. I paid at the bar, served the drinks and waited for our food. The music was 80's MTV Themed {Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Bruuuce, Billy Idol}. Jenga, Horrible Couple and Cards Against Humanity were on the tables to pass the time. Or flip through the many records available for purchase until the food arrives. The salad was large in size and very good. Been a while since I had a burger, and this filled the void. Fries were not that hot, but we ate them anyway. Afterwards, we went downstairs and played some old school arcade games and then headed out. Upon leaving we saw someone was having a birthday party, which was nice to see. I'm sure in the summer this place gets packed. They also have a selection of draught beer (The proper way to spell it). Good choice for food, although it wasn't cheap. Bill w/tip was $100. I think having a server on staff for all hours would be a good decision for TVR to make, in order to TCB !

The atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming, and the staff was attentive without ever being rushed. It gave us a great chance to really enjoy the space and the food. We started with the two-cheese crostini, which ended up being one of the highlights of the night. The bread was perfectly crisp, and the cheeses had just the right amount of richness without being heavy. I also tried their seasonal non-alcoholic Spiced Apple-Lini, and it was surprisingly delicious--refreshing, slightly sweet, and very "fall in a glass." For my entrée, I ordered the chicken Milanese, and I have to say it might be the best I've ever had. I'm usually very particular about chicken dishes, but the flavor and texture were spot-on. The breading was light and crispy, and the chicken itself wasn't dry at all. The plate came with a beautiful mix of seasonal vegetables--roasted squash, shaved fennel, cranberries, and arugula--topped with an apple cider vinaigrette that pulled everything together. It tasted fresh, balanced, and really thoughtful. We ended the meal with their cheesecake served with a house-made pistachio crème. The flavor was fantastic, especially the pistachio topping, which really made it unique. My only tiny note is that I personally prefer cheesecake a bit colder and denser rather than closer to room temperature, but that's purely personal preference and didn't take away from enjoying it. The owner also came by to chat with us, and he was incredibly friendly--clearly someone who cares about his guests and the quality of the experience. Between the great service, thoughtful menu, and inviting atmosphere, we're already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes. Definitely a strong addition to the Danbury dining scene.
