This place was worth the drive up to Brewster from Valhalla! We will be going back. First, the location is absolutely gorgeous and the restaurant itself matches. Big windows give away to an amazing view, while soft lighting inside gives you a cozy feel. Being from Texas, we've been searching, for the last 3 years, for good Mexican food up here and almost always come up short in our hunt. This place was one of two places recommended to my husband by a guy he works with. He said the owners here are from the same place he's from in Mexico. This got me excited. That excitement was not let down. To start we got ceviche tostadas. The portion was a lot larger than we were expecting, and they were so refreshing. The mole poblano enchiladas I got instantly made me smile. The mole was so good. My only complaint was that I wish there had been more mole in the enchiladas. They were a little dry. That's my only reason for not giving 5 stars. The margaritas were strong, but tasty. The wait staff were all super nice and helpful... Such great service. I can't wait to return!

A nice restaurant with an amazing view! Sat inside and our order was immediately taken. We arrived around 8pm so not much people was there. A server took or drink order and got our food after. The food was great, I got locos tacos and hubby got a big combination (which I forgot the name), we celebrated my sister's bday and we got her a wine from the selection with her name on it. Lol. We also ordered guacamole and diablitos for appetizer. The price is kinda higher compare to other mexican places around. It was all worth it and We will definitely be back!

The food was okay. I did enjoy the drinks. I ordered a dirty margarita. Which was very tasty. I also ordered the guacamole that was good and the shrimp tacos refried beans and rice. The service from Jospeh was amazing as well as the rest of the staff. I live e the design of the place and the location. Very nice establishment . The decor from the outside all the way into the inside.

Shrimp Fajitas, hold the mushrooms. It was disappointing to have only 4 shrimps. We would not order this one again.

The ambiance here is better than anywhere else I've been to in the area. And walking by the tables all the food served looked delicious! I had a craving for their beef fajitas and my husband wanted a bean and cheese burrito with refried beans & but he, nor my son didn't feel like going so I drove the 25 min to get there, bellied up to the bar and had a drink while I waited for my to-go. I upgraded my fajitas to the $32 Mother's Day Ribeye fajitas special that the bartender told me was even better than the regular menu skirt steak fajita that I liked so much. So my fault for not opening the containers to be sure I received the right order and posting this as a PSA suggestion for others to do. My medium rare ribeye fajitas with mushroom and onion instead was an overcooked steak (not a ribeye) with a big sausage and some vegetable dressing My husband's bean and cheese burrito with refried beans & rice was instead, 2 shredded chicken burritos and curly fries. But my son's shrimp fajitas were correctly done (no mushroom) so it was perplexing why 2 dishes were wrong. Not really wanting to drive another hour but still wanting what I ordered and not waste $50, I did call to see if I might bring the 2 orders back and get what I asked for but no one answered the phone so I gave up. (They were super busy at the time.) I'm writing this because upon waking up I'm still wanting the fajitas and kicking myself for not opening the containers to ensure it was correct before I left! During the summer, the outside section for dining is second to none around. Gorgeous views!

This place is so fantastic. Ignore the reviews. You feel as if you are at a family's home. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. We last minute let them know it was my daughter's bday, they produced a cake and sang to her. The food was fresh, hot and super delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Las Mañanitas! There was some confusion upon our arrival because after calling the day before to reserve a table inside, we were told that they do not take reservations. Luckily the wait was not long and we were able to be seated shortly. The menu is outstanding and there are so many unique menu selections. Our burritos and chicken were top notch. The dining room is crowded and can be loud at times so just be prepared for that. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area for warmer weather.

Would have given 5 stars for the location and the food, however one staff's attitude kinda ruins it! We travelled 2.5hrs (I came from Boston and my friend came from PA). From the moment we asked for a table with a view to the end of our dinner, we felt pressured by her! First off, she told us there's no place by the window and had us sit at a random spot Inside. We saw a spot open up right then and was undergoing cleaning so we asked one of the waiters inside and they were nice and said they can happily move us there! So after we sat there and ordered, she kept staring at us which was kinda mean, and once we were on dessert, though we had our own server, she came to us and asked if we needed anything else and handed us the check when we hardly even started having our desserts, I think that was rude!

The restaurant has is huge and has a lot to offer. The patios are beautiful and I can see how crowded it could get on a summer weekend night. We went on a Sunday night in September and it was packed. The food we ordered was delicious. My posole soup was full of chicken and veggies. The chips and salsa are plentiful and complimentary. The service was okay, but could be better. We had to wait for a waitress a few times during the evening. The main reason for a star off was the fact that, according to my husband, the men's only bathroom stall was out of order. Not acceptable.

Eating at the sprawling Brewster, NY Mexican mainstay, Las Mananitas, is much more than just a great meal. It's an event, it's an experience, and it's also some wonderful Mexican food. The place is big. Very big, sprawling room after room. And it can grow really noisy when the crowds get into full swing. But, as I said, it's big, divided into various dining areas, indoors and out. So while dinner may be a highly social (and loud) event for some, it can be as almost quite as a private dining room for others. Warm summer's eve, we opted to eat outside, away from the crowds. Instead of dinner in a mosh pit, we chose a quiet, almost private table overlooking the gorgeous grounds. Crowds of wannabe diners moved past us, never breaking our pastoral mood. Despite those passing crowds of diners, our waiter assured us that there was no rush, take your time, relax, enjoy.... And so we did.... The drinks were big enough to seem imposing, but not as strong as they were long. A bit more tequila, a more assertive lime sour would have helped make them worth the price. Meanwhile, far in the distance, we could make out the unending sounds of the revelers, at first loud then increasingly joyful. If I were in a party mood, I might have joined them. I wasn't; I didn't. Alicia ordered pork tacos with churro beans which were the highlight of her less-than spectacular, highly ordinary meal. Nothing wrong with it. Just too ordinary to justify the big room, the big noise, and the big price. I got Birria, a beef stew cooked with rich red guajillo sauce, just spicy enough to make any abuelita lick her lips in joy. Not only was it wonderfully wonderful, there was enough for diner and lunch and bit more for a side dish.... So it seems this kitchen is more than capable of turning out far-better-than-ordinary dishes. But the crowds, the rush, and the endless party seem to make anything really exceptional far too much trouble to bother. Bottom line, I really liked this very special place. Alicia, alas, not nearly as happy. If you're going for the food, choose the quietest time on the quietest day of the quietest week. Unless you want to party. Then any time will do because the party is nonstop.

Beautiful location with a great view- suggest going during sunset and seat outside if weather permits to catch the view. Great ambience and busy. Since it does get fairly busy it might be hard to find parking in their fairly big lot, just something to note. Fast and friendly service- owner came around to greet and chat. Menu selections are affordable and drinks were strong.

This location is TOP NOTCH! And that's pretty much what you get. Plenty of deer-in-the-headlights staff and very average, bland even, food. I got Molé Enchiladas and the molé was horrible. No flavor at all. Rice was meh and refried beans def came out of a can. The food and staff really leave a lit to be desired. That being said, the margaritas were great and the beer ice cold. And the setting is unreal. Outdoor seating will give you views of treetops and a reservoir. Truly a relaxing place to dine. It's a shame the food kinda sucked, because the ambiance is 100%...

Imagine our surprise that our intended eatery was closed (not that their website stated it) and our second choice was closing for the night (at 8 pm on a Saturday night!) Hugely disappointed, we stopped at the only place along our home area of Route 52 that had lights on. Not only were they opened, but enthusiastically greeted us and promptly brought over menus. The high top tables were excellent for our family member with the cane and the other (me) with a broken leg. The place was decorated for the season, and combined with the colorful Mexican decor was especially festive. We are all a little picky about our drinks, but the bartender happily filled our requests without hesitation. An excellent espresso martini was enjoyed, actually two, by me, and my family loved their drinks as well. We settled on the sampler platter which our waitress assured us would be plenty. She could have easily pressured us to order more, but was honest, professional, polite and friendly. We also enjoyed the chips and salsa. Highly recommend you stopping in, whether it's family dinner or casual date night. PS: it's a a fun family joke that I HATE when servers use the term "No problem". I mean; why WOULD asking for a glass of water be a problem? Our fabulous server frequently acknowledged our requests without hesitation and a cheerful "Of Course!" It left me giddy
