Acapulco is our favorite Mexican in the area. Nory and the staff treat you like family. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They've made the interior inviting and the food is fresh and oh, so tasty!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My favorites are *Chicken Poblano* & *Pollo à la Crema* - The Chile Relleno is the best I've had. No breading! So feels healthy.

Brand new addition to the menu, that they said will officially be added soon! Coconut shrimp, and it was delicious!

A True Hidden Gem! This family-run Mexican restaurant is a treasure. The flautas were absolutely delicious--crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with love. You can taste the authenticity in every bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is warm and welcoming[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and the service makes you feel like part of the family. A must-visit spot for anyone craving real, homemade Mexican food!

What a gem - hidden in plain sight! Tucked in by the Days Inn, have driven right by so often and now I'm sorry we haven't stopped in sooner. Everything was delicious - definitely recommend the Birria. Service was outstanding, so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

This is an update to a review posted a bit more than a year ago. The qualities that made Acapulco Grill and Bar an enjoyable experience have not only continued, but improved with time, and dedicated efforts on the part of the owners assure their customers' experience is a memorable one. On my initial experience, the warmth and genuineness of Nory and her sister, Claudia, was immediately apparent. Upon entering, you're greeted as family. One has only to observe how others are greeted, the familiarity lets you know they have a strong repeat fan base, myself included. Whether it be Yamileth, Ronny, Samantha, or Nory, herself, taking orders, they remember their customers, and it's a lovely feeling indeed. Its location on Route 7 in a Days Inn, might well be why it can be overlooked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As word continues to spread of its honest value, varied and flavorful menu items, and welcoming ambiance, hopefully it will receive the notoriety it deserves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The main part of the restaurant is cheerful and open, stepped in one area, and is simply and tastefully decorated, the linens fresh and table runners of authentic Mexican fabrics and designs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a separate party/banquet/ buffet room off the darkened bar, replete with tequilas and pottery mugs for mezcalitos lining the shelves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Happy Hour runs from 3-6 PM, Tuesdays to Fridays (closed Mondays), offering 2 for 1 margaritas, a selected reduced price beer and wine list, and a variety of appetizers. Standouts here include the jalapeño poppers, the fajita quesadillas, and birria tacos. Fresh totopos corn chips and salsa are brought immediately. Prices are competitive with restaurants in the area, weighted more toward the value side, despite the ever increasing costs of running a business, let alone a restaurant. Ah, the food... The traditional warmth readily apparent extends into the menu, replete with not only tried and true Mexican favorites such as quesadillas, flautas, fajitas, tacos, and the like, but more recently expanding horizons to include the traditional dishes of Puebla, where Nory and Claudia are from. I hadn't known that Puebla is credited as the birthplace of the revered mole poblano sauce, a labor-intensive dish including up to fifty different ingredients. I can't get enough of their enchiladas mole; the richness and depth of flavor is addicting. Another traditional dish is the cochinita pibil, pork marinated with annatto, sour orange, garlic and onion, and cooked in a banana leaf. Their birria, similarly, achieves a complexity of taste of its own right. In taco form, or as an entree, you can taste the authenticity of their family's recipe. I was pleasantly surprised, as well, when I ordered a chimichanga. In many Mexican restaurants, they are bland and heavily-weighted from the fryer. Not so, here; it was light and crispy, with an almost phyllo-like crunch. I'm looking forward to sampling the myriad other offerings. I've got an eye on that churro cart. Unfortunately, I'm usually too full to save room for dessert. As I'm writing this, it's a Monday, the one day of the week they're closed. (Insert melancholy violin music here...) Already I'm thinking guacamole and hibiscus margaritas, rimmed with tajìn. And the mole, always the mole.

Ok well let us know BEFORE you hand us the beer and wine menu. UGH For Tapas YES Fried Calamari was absolutely amazing Fresh, not dry at all with a large bowl and 2 delicious dipping sauces. BUT For Paella Classic for 2 Never again. It was a huge disappointment after our tapas as a warm up. It was served in an iron skillet, nice presentation but much smaller than we thought it should be for 2. It had no moisture at all, the rice and chorizo sausage with chicken bits and shrimp. The shrimp was very disappointing just rubbery and dry. This place has a 4.7 star rating and a great looking Menu. Maybe it's a Ridgefield Connecticut thing to go there for an enjoyable atmosphere. For the food quality it was too expensive comparatively as view on their website. We picked it because of the Great Rating. The head manager/owner was great and the staff was very attentive. We had dessert and coffee the coffee was nice and strong, fantastic but dessert was a version of crème brûlée taste was good Caramelized sugar wasn't there. When the Restaurant manger asked how was everything I had to let him know, he appreciated it and took the coffee off of the bill. We still gave a 20% tip for the great service. Sad to say We won't ever go back

The wings are smoked to perfection and our table loved the garlic parmesan. Super savory and the sharp parm hits every time. I used about every napkin in sight and won't apologize for it. The Holy Texas Trinity will feed a hungry family of four without a question. Smoked jalapeño cheese sausages will change your life. Created in house by CT's self proclaimed sausage king Tyler. The brisket is ridiculously flavorful and the slices are very generous. Ribs were cooked well and dip nice with the table sauces. Cornbread is so fat and tasty I would commit crimes for a whole tray. Had smoked turkey and sides of the beans, potato salad and collard greens. The sides were all meat-free, which was great because a lot of BBQ places put meat in all their vegetable sides, too. Liked having two kinds of BBQ sauce on the table (one sweet, one with mustard), and the French fries were decent. My partner asked for lean brisket, and it actually showed up lean. Someone else at the table asked for it fatty, and that's how it came. I do wish they offered a platter with a choice of meat and two sides for a good price, like many BBQ joints, but in the end, I figured out how to make it work (hint: order a sandwich). Would come here again.
