I love the BRG!! my favorite entree was the seared ahi tuna. Fabulous!! Until last two dinners. The tuna was always rare, sliced thin and succulent! It's now small dry chewy strips. First time I thought it was a one off but last week it was just as bad. I know tuna is expensive and suspect going with a less costly cut made sense from a financial standpoint but what a disappointment! Raise the price if necessary but please fix this!!! read more

We hadn't been there for quite some time, and looked forward to a great meal. Unfortunately, things went wrong from the start - we received our steak, not cooked as requested, the wrong side order, for one person, and had to wait for a re-order to be cooked. By that time, the second side order was cold, and, the offered to replace it - it never came, and no one came to check up on our food and we had to have it removed from the check. It wasn't much of a much to have the entree, but no side with it. Very disappointing experience. especially for the price paid. I think we should been given a free meal with these issues, but no single offer of any type of compensation was forthcoming. read more

This place was PACKED on a Sunday night. Thank goodness we made reservations. Nice staff, amazing food, good portions. Cannot wait to come back Guacamole appetizer -- Amazing! Chunky and had tomatoes and lots of lime YUM! Brentwood Salad is also a home run. The fried chicken is crispy, juicy and really good. Homemade dressing was delicious and I love the addition of fresh corn. The North Star chicken and pasta may have been my favorite. The balsamic brown butter sauce is out of this world. I ordered take out from this restaurant and i give it a 3! The meal was made on time and waiting for us in containers. I ordered the Grilled stake with asparagus YUM :) The asparagus was still hard so I had to cook it again for a few minutes but the stake definitely made up for everything. I didn't have stake sauce but it was still so flavorful, tender and juicy. Definitely decommissioning this restaurant! and this stake. read more

The food is generally pretty good and we've ordered take out for years. Unfortunately we will not be ordering food from here ever again. We left a 10% tip for on a takeout order, more than fair in my opinion. When we got to there to pick up the food the person checking us out said, "Would like to leave more of a tip?" Our next take out order was $60.03 and we received a notice that said this: "Heads up: we temporarily authorized you card for $70.38. This is to cover any post-order change and is usually lifted within a few hours. Removing this hold can take up to 7 days depending on your bank. The final charge on your bank statement should match your receipt." Nope. Never again. read more

We are fans of the Blue Ridge Grill. Until now, we have only been to the one in Leesburg. When the Ashburn one opened, we gave them time to get their act together. Yet it took us quite a while to get here as we always combined a trip to the Leesburg one with some shopping. (I'm talking Sweetz Bakery LOL!) Well, anyway, we finally made it to the Ashburn one. We were here on a Saturday around 5 p.m. Upon entering, we noticed that it wasn't as busy as the Leesburg one is at that hour. Still, the bar had quite a few people there. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our first impressions were great. This location is in a newer building and is more roomy than the Leesburg one. Our waiter was prompt getting to us. After taking our drink orders he told us about the specials of the day. We never get appetizers at Blue Ridge Grill but after hearing about the specials, we couldn't resist ordering one. What caught our attention was the Thai cauliflower with julienned carrots. My husband really likes cauliflower so we got that to start. For our main courses, I ordered a daily special, rock fish with pesto linguine with a tomato based sauce. My husband got the 12 ounce prime rib with a side of "blazing saddle beans". To drink, I got my favorite Blue Ridge Grill drink --- white chocolate martini while my husband got a beer. The Thai cauliflower was amazing. The cauliflower was lightly breaded and fried, then topped with a Thai sauce that was on the spicy side. It was brought to us in a timely fashion thus the sauce didn't have time to make the cauliflower soggy which was good. The Thai flavoring came through quite clearly and the cauliflower retained its crunch with the sauce not being overwhelming hot. If they have this appetizer next time we go, we are getting it! The rock fish was prepared properly with it being tender and flaky. The sauce was on the mild side. While good, it was a basically forgettable sauce. The linguine was a bit overcooked and somewhat mushy. I didn't mind as I didn't fill up on it. As usual, my husband enjoyed his prime rib. He got it medium rare but it was more on the rare side, which he didn't mind. He chose to have fresh horseradish which gave it some kick. The blazing saddle beans are one of his favorite sides here as they have some spice to them. They didn't disappoint. We will definitely return to this Blue Ridge Grill again! Before the tip, dinner came to $71 + change. It's possible to eat here more cheaply as they do offer salads and sandwiches. read more

Enjoyed a pleasant meal, at the bar with my wife. We ordered the Halibut special suggested by bartender Victoria and it was super delicious. We did notice that quite a few of the servers would help her with drink garnish but few would use the garnishment utensils. Many severs would attempt to help with garnishing drinks after touching their face, ears and hair. We decided to order wine with our meals. Victoria was super professional and friendly. This place is awesome! My dining companion and I ended up going here after all the other restaurants in the area were booked. The ambience is nice, just a tad dark, but overall it's so homey and I loved how everything was friendly and welcoming! The servers followed all Covid Protocols to a T We were seated in a wonderful corner area and met with a wonderful server! The staff here are all so kind and work together as a team to ensure the highest level of customer service. We decided to start out with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip and some beverages. I ordered the Mule and my dining companion had a beer. Both were great and paired well with the spinach & Artichoke dip. The dip was a great portion size and I enjoyed the taste. It had a good amount of spinach and I was happy that the chips weren't overly salted. We ordered Crab Cakes & the Bacon Burger. Both were amazingly nice portions and I enjoyed the fact that this place was able to make so many modifications for me. I didn't want either of the sides that came with the Crab Cakes so the server quickly navigated me to try some other options. I loved my entire experience here and maybe next time we'll try to save room for desert. If you're in the area, definitely try this place out! We love Blue Ridge Grill but on a crazy night like tonight we decided to have it delivered. The delivery service sent us a text about 15 minutes before they were due to arrive that we were outside the delivery area so they could not deliver our food. We called the delivery service company who referred us to the restaurant. After calling the restaurant and explaining what transpired, the general manager very kindly offered to drive over our food which was truly above and beyond when it comes to service. As the other locations, BRG does a great job with service and food quality is high. I got one of my favorite things to get here, the seared ahi tuna salad. This time though, I forgot to ask for the two dressings it comes with on the side, as one of them I do not like. My salad as such was too drenched in dressing for my taste and the one vinaigrette took away from the flavor, but that's more of a personal preference and not a slight on the restaurant. They were training servers that night, so we had lots of TLC! My first visit here was back in the fall with my parents. We ate in the bar and service was again stellar. So disappointed... We love BRG, and have for MANY years. Yesterday changed that, at least fir the Ashburn location. Actually, my disdain started last week when we went and the ceiling was dripping water on us, and all the smirky bartenders would say is "it's just the condensation from the AC." I don't give a shit, fix it! It's the same bartenders with whom I have a problem (well, one in particular...I don't know her name, other than she's shorter than the other female bartender and is ethnic). Quickest way to get me to stop coming to your bar/restaurant? Have your already questionable bartender say "hey John and TRAINEE, drop this off at table six." A simple "hey John and, what's your name? Cool, welcome, would you mind dropping off this check" might work. Stop thinking that, just because you are a bartender, everyone else in the joint is beneath you. Blue Ridge Grill in Ashburn has seen me for the last time. The The Ashburn Pub was full because of the soccer match, so I came here. I'll stick to the Leesburg and Brambleton locations, because the food is that good. read more

We just arrived in Ashburn Virginia and wanted to dine locally since we were tired from the long drive from NY. I reviewed a few restaurants on Yelp and decided on Blue Ridge Grill mostly because of menu and t was the only place I could get a reservation for 6:30pm of the three restaurants in the area originally picked to dine. When we entered the restaurant we noticed a quite crowded and noisy bar area. We were seated quickly and attended by a waitress within a few minutes from the time we were seated. We ordered drinks and passed on the waitress offer for bread. When she returned to the table she asked us if we were ready to order; which we stated yes; ordered the Chicken Sandwich and Simple Grilled Salmon. We later realized when we were listening to the waiter at the table next to us, that they did have specials that were not on the menu which our waitress neglected to mention to us. Regardless, we enjoyed our dinner and once the table was cleared with were presented with a check. One cannot argue about having fast service, but sometimes when one is very busy, one may forget that it's about driving a positive customer experience read more

I have never been disappointed with BRG. The food,service, and selection are spot on. We ate a late lunch on the patio. Plenty of social distance, attentive, polite staff are masked, and sanitizing after guests left. We started with calamari which was lightly battered, with the squid tender and delicious. The two sauces accompanying the calamari were also tasty and well-suited to the dish. Wife's fried shrimp were excellent, thinly breaded, and right out of the fryer hot. She commented that the coleslaw accompanying the dish was excellent and the BRG fries were fantastic as always. I had their King Street pasta. The service staff is not properly trained or hold accountable to provide the experiences the customers come and paid to have! However, Victoria has been the most helpful/nice waitress! If we still come will be only on the days Victoria is working! (Thais I think is her name is the rudest one) ‍ Management should remember or have in mind that specially in this area there are many other options to choose from and is not like people don't know how to cook, however if we choose not to cook and spend our money out there it will be mostly for that great experience and connection we can create, specially when you go yo the same place weekly! read more

BRG Ashburn must be under new management. Had dinner outside on the new patio and was SHOCKED to over hear a manager told a patron. The customer complained that her prime rib was over cooked to her liking. Well........the manager came back with the same prime rib and told her that it was the outdoor lighting that made it appear over cooked. Really??? I typically do not get involved with customer complaints but I was at BRG. BRG has ALWAYS made the customer feel satisfied with their food. Remember there are a lot of options in Ashburn. I did step in and let the customer know to return the food. She politely said she was too hungry and ate the prime ribs She did tell me that she knows her prime rib and her prime rib was over cooked!! BRG. I have been a patron for over 15 years and this was the very 1st time I ever heard anyone debate with a patron. Hope this is the not a new trend. Food has always been good. Tonight was a different type of night at Blue Ridge. Server accidentally, somehow broke a wine drink at the table . Two of us were soaked . We moved tables and manager came over. Asked us about incident and then left. Asked for a new drink. Didn't know if glass got into drink. We thought there may be some compensation due to the accident at the table. We received the full bill. I did speak with the manager who stated that we did get new drinks! Of course we paid for them. Ive been a big fan of the Brambleton blue ridge grill and i was hoping that the ashburn location wouldn't ruin the amazing food chain... and I'm so glad my worries was put to rest! This place is amazing just like the Brambleton location!! The service was on point and the whole staff treated us very well, always clearing the table and giving refills when needed, always checking on us asking if we needed anything and the food came out in a timely manner. As for the food it tasted great and cooked to perfection! I ordered what i normally get at blue ridge the BRG burger, and it was cooked perfectly and seasoned right. Overall, this place was good, I'd probably err more on 3.5 stars, my husband and I have been to the Leesburg location quite sometime ago and had really enjoyed it. For whatever reason this please was just ok, the food was good but it wasn't anything to write home about at it seemed like the busier things got it took effort to get our server's attention. I don't know if it was because it was a busy Saturday night, maybe I was having an off day. Or perhaps I should try something different next time. I'd certainly give this place another chance.
