Blue Moon Head Spa was a 10 out of 10! Actually, if I could rate it a 20 out of 10, I would! It was an absolutely incredible, full sensory experience from beginning to end. They started with a scalp analysis, and I got to see all the gunk hiding on my scalp. New fear unlocked, but in a good way! I wash my hair frequently, so I truly had no idea how much buildup could still be there. Devon was so knowledgeable, and her hands were genuinely magical. Between the massage, the oils, the scents, and all the beautiful fragrances, I felt like I had escaped into a fantasy world with my eyes closed. It was deeply relaxing, luxurious, and unlike anything I've ever experienced. I left feeling completely refreshed, with the cleanest scalp of my life. I cannot recommend Blue Moon Head Spa enough. Absolutely incredible!

My friends and I had services done here today as part of a girls' day and we had a great time. We all planned for the Platinum package and it didn't disappoint. We booked our appt for March 14th back in early to mid January. The day before, the spa needed to make a time change for our group and we moved it to one hour later than originally planned. No issues on our end. They communicated it clearly and even added foot massages due to the change. All of the technicians we had were great. I had Ruby and she was fantastic from beginning to end. I would go out of my way to request her again. I was super relaxed and felt very refreshed at the end. There were some guests that were there before us who were very talkative and social while getting their hair dried in the back at the end of their service. Because the space in the back is fully open to where people are getting their treatment it was a bit distracting and harder to relax until they left the spa. It could help if quiet rules were enforced to make sure all patrons at all stages of their service are getting the most peaceful experience throughout. Overall great first head spa experience. I'd be happy to come back!

I had a very pleasant experience. The place looks and feels very clean, enough space to feel comfortable between clients. The changing back room could be better and more private, but it was ok. Wendy took care of me, she was very polite, respectful and did a great job with everything. The facial was so good, the face massage was my favorite, hair treatment was good, very relaxing but the water ring water pressure could be stronger, I was expecting a little more but it was just ok, they use like a scalp massager that was amazing!!! Face oils, massage and skin cleansing was so relaxing, neck and shoulder massage was very good as well. I was gifted the platinum package and left with a shiny and clean hair, with a very soft and hydrated skin and happy with the blow dry as well. I hope they offer a good deal soon so I can take my daughter and sisters.

I've been trying out different head spas over the past couple years both on my own and with friend recommendations. This is one I visited last month on a whim based on location as I was in the area. To date, and at least 5-6 head spas later, this was hands down the best experience!!! I made an appointment the day before. The reservation has a deposit (like every other one I've been to). Balance is paid upon arrival. I was asked if i would like pictures and to not only feel the experience, i was curious visually as well,, so of course i said yes. This one was so different and hands down the most relaxing. Not only was it nicely decorated and inviting just walking in, the session matched in energy and warmth. Ivy was amazing! She took such great care of me and provided wonderful pictures so I saw what happened behind the scenes while I was relaxing. The experience had so many different elements, for the first time, I wasn't getting bored. This is the one I plan to go back to. This experience was worth the price.

I treated my mom to a head spa for a gift and we absolutely loved it. The whole spa was spacious and very clean. I loved how there are so many different tiers to choose from. We were serviced right away and the whole experience was so relaxing. We got changed to our robes and slippers and spent the morning feeling so calm and relaxed. When we left, our head and hair felt amazing! This is a really good place to treat someone or have a girls day since they have multiple stations.

What a treat and what a surprise for me! We did a sister day at Blue Moon Head Spa to celebrate my birthday. I had no idea a place like this existed. It was a nice and relaxing head massage and shampoo. I loved the hair shower gadget. They give you a cute strapless top, robes and slippers to wear. Overall, it was a good experience. There are several lay down beds for where the head messages and shampoos take place. Located at the very back of the shop is seating to accommodate four blow dryings at at time. In the same area are lockers , one dressing room and one bathroom to change. On the Saturday we were there, it was packed and really cramped to move around. They push a lot to review . . . this bothers me a bit. A place worth reviewing doesn't need to push for reviews. Anyway, if you are in need of some calming rest and relaxation, Blue Moon Head Spa is worthwhile. Probably best to go during the week to avoid the crowds.

OMG this place is amazing! Literally it is a deep tissue massage for the scalp and face including neck and shoulders. I made a reservation for the Platinum Package and it was worth each penny. 1 hour and a half of oils, moisturizers everything to massage the scalp and face. The fresh look and feeling is amazing. You check in the place and you get a robe and like a tube dress. Then you go to your station. My therapist was Helen, she was amazing!! Next time I will request her again. She even anticipated that I would want pics and video of my experience that she gave me at the end of my session. Place is small, clean and is in a shopping with lots of parking.

Who doesn't love a head massages? What a nice way to spend an hour. Grianne gave me an enjoyable relaxing massage. We did a sister day for one of our birthdays. Loved it! The only down is the space in this tiny place. It was a bit crowded with clients set up back to back. Not much room to move in the back. We couldn't really freshen up before heading to lunch. But still enjoyed the experience.

Update: I was invited back to give them another shot and I have to say they really exceeded my expectations! I noticed that there were some changes made. They are now using Eminince products for the facial which I love and it's such a reputable skincare line. Even the bed felt more comfy. The owner Annie is so sweet and truly wants the best for her guests and it shows. Ruby was my technician and wow she is incredible! She has a really great touch. I think I dozed off a couple of times. I'm so glad I went back because I really did have a completely different experience I'm so so grateful! Thank you !! this is a lovely spa experience. i got the $175 package? comes with massage, mini facial, ear and neck washing. the technician really takes care of you from start to finish. my hair felt very clean and lightweight. the only cons that i have are you pay before you start. ok whatever. have a cash tip or pay them with zelle/venmo. also some people got shopping bags and i didnt. im not sure if that was the expensive package or not. they wont let u take pics. (im not sure why?) your attendant can can pics for you. i would have liked it if the had the mircosope/camera to look at your scalp. they give u a water bottle/grapes/biscoff cookies when shes doing your hair. i really didnt wanna spend like $200 but hey thats what spa days cost if you want to be relaxed come here. read more

I got the Diamond treatment and it was well worth the $211. Ivy was sweet and is gifted with her hands. I love a hot towel and getting my head pulled off my body lol! When it was all over she had walked away so I stretched my arms back over my head and she caught me. She gently grabbed my wrist and tugged on them. Stellar experience! read more

Wow, just wow! If you love the idea of going to a spa but feel a little intimidated about going alone, look no further. This place is an absolute gem. I'm beyond impressed and so grateful I found it. There are plenty of headspas out there, but when it comes to customer service and genuine kindness, this one takes the crown. I also love supporting small businesses, and this one truly deserves it. I treated myself to the Diamond Package and added a foot massage, and let me tell you it was everything. My technician, Jenny, was AMAZING. I thought I was just going in for a headspa, but they massaged my neck, arms, hands, face, feet, and legs. Basically every knot I didn't even know I had... gone! Jenny is an absolute miracle worker. And yes, they also do facial, wash your hair, massage your scalp, and work on pressure points with acupressure techniques. It was exactly what I needed after some really tough months. I also want to give a huge shoutout to Annie, the owner. I felt an instant connection with her. She's so warm and kind. I truly believe her business will thrive because her heart is so genuine. A heavenly experience! I have scalp psoriasis and have been wanting to get a scalp treatment done, so I took advantage of the grand opening specials and booked the Diamond package at Blue Moon Head Spa. The reception area is beautiful and airy. You get handed a (2 pc) dress and robe, and are guided into the changing room where you can place your shoes, clothes, and personal belongings in a basket. I recommend to take off all your jewelry in the changing room, so you don't have to be fumbling in the dark later. You take the basket with you to the massage bed and it is placed underneath. My masseuse was Anna and she was wonderful! The pressure she used on my face, arms, shoulders and scalp were perfect. Anna would check in periodically to make sure the pressure was ok and the hot stones, steam eye mask and hot towels weren't too hot. As for the hair and scalp treatments, I was a bit self conscious about my psoriasis but Anna made me feel comfortable and she was meticulous. I have thick, extra-long hair but Anna quickly dried my hair with a Dyson blow drier to finish off the experience while enjoying light refreshments. I highly recommend the head spa! ‍ read more

First time coming here and I all I have to say it was 100/10! My technician Devon was amazing! She went above and beyond with my head spa treatment. She took her time, and made me feel super relaxed. She would always ask me to see how I was doing and always very gentle when moving head. If you decide to book at Blue Moon head spa ask for Devon . You will not regret coming here. I went here on a whim as a walk-in after deciding I needed to escape my children for bit... and I would give a HUNDRED stars if I could. I went to heaven and back. I was really impressed by the attention to details such as the pillow under my knees, the lip treatment, the calming ambience and sound, the cleanliness, and the heavenly smells. My hair and scalp feel amazing and it was exactly what I needed post-partum. I am a whole new less tired and cranky mama and I'm so thankful. It was worth every penny. At the end of the treatment they blow dry your hair and I was a little skeptical as a black girl with curly hair but the range of products made me feel seen and welcomed. Found this place via TikTok. I visited this spa as a birthday treat, and I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience! My technician, Allisa, was absolutely wonderful -- she was friendly, attentive, and gentle throughout the entire session. I had a scalp massage as well as a facial treatment, and I left feeling incredibly refreshed and rejuvenated. The ambiance of the spa was calming and peaceful, and the place was spotless. I would definitely recommend this place to others and will be coming back for sure read more

Not what I expected. Had great yelp reviews so I chose this place to take my daughter for her birthday. I called to ask about the best package. They recommended the platinum or diamond and package. I ended up booking the platinum package. When booking they do not tell you the deposit is Non-refundable. They also tell you, you can pay with card but when taking the deposit, "the machine was down." So I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Once we arrived, they confirm your treatment and then you pay the balance. Well once again they couldn't get the credit card machine to work. I had to pay Venmo or Zelle. Pretty sure it's just a scam to get you to pay cash. This screams money laundering to me. Platinum package was basically a facial. The lady even put the exfoliation on my eyes and the facial cream on my eyes as well. I have never had this happen in a facial. They should know you Never put anything on people eyes! They shampoo your hair, condition it and blow dry but for the majority of the time it's a facial. Also the water was cold and very inconsistent. I was looking for more of a head/hair treatment. Definitely not what I was expecting. I would not go back or recommend this place. read more

I have been to head Spas before, but Blue Moon is special. My parents and I treated ourselves to headspa session this pre holiday weekend. We all chose the highest Diamond package which included acupressure massages for head/face/shoulders/arms, eye mask, face cleanse/exfoliate/gua sha in addition to twice hair wash & conditioner with special tools done by Anna, Jade and Jenny. Needless to say, we were very satisfied with the services included in the package and done superbly by our wonderful masseuses! The owner Annie is also incredibly friendly and helpful. One special thing to note is if you book a service that's at least an hour, you receive a complimentary foot soak as long if you arrive at least 15 minutes before your appointment. This was a nice touch. When I arrived, Cristina, from the front desk walked me to their quiet room, which has the ultimate relaxation vibes. She was amazing! She had my foot soak ready to go, along with a heated neck wrap and a blanket. On top of that, she made me a delicious vanilla chamomile tea, accompanied by a chocolate. A literal pampering angel. My facial was done by Chasity. She was also so nice and she gave me plenty of time to change and get comfortable in the spa bed. She listened to my skin concerns and tailored the products for my face. Throughout my appointment, she explained each step of the facial. At one point I was so relaxed, I fell asleep. That being said, it would be nice to have an option online for a male therapist as I could have used more pressure on my back. The portion where you can book with certain staff members are only labeled as 'Therapist' for all the options. I understand from a privacy-focused perspective why they'd do that, but I never know who I' getting when I book with them. Decent service, would come back again if needed.

I understand that they have to comply with health department requirements, but for someone who specifically comes here for the traditional Korean sauna experience, this completely changes the experience for me. If I'm going to a sauna, I expect to sweat. The LA weather outside honestly feels hotter than some of the sauna rooms now. It's unfortunate because iSpa used to be worth the hour-plus drive for me, and I genuinely loved coming here. The atmosphere is still beautiful and unique, but without the heat I expect from a Korean sauna, I don't think I'll be making the drive back.

It's nice, quiet, and dark inside, and I felt my stress melt away. Afterwards, my friend and I were amazed at how soft and fluffy our hair was and she expressed that we gotta come back for the VIP experience next! Might just be that I got a newbie or something but she was incredibly bad at her job. She'd never dry my ears properly leaving water and suds sitting in there for the entire time even after the service was finished. While shampooing she'd massage my neck and shoulders while her hands were full of hair product and shampoo suds, WHY?!! Hair products are NOT meant to be used on skin and she kept massaging it in and not washing it off leaving the hair product and suds just SITTING on my neck and shoulders for the majority of the service. Additionally she got water into my eyes MULTIPLE times and didn't even notice, would put a SOPPING wet towel over my eyes then run water right over it making me feel like it was a water boarding punishment, failed to dry me off properly at the end making me sit up resulting in water dripping down my back and getting my clothes wet. Then she gave me cotton swabs for me to clean my ears and when I went to try to throw it away after using it, she roughly pulled it out of my fingers so fast that the dirty cotton swabs touched my fingers leaving my ear wax on my own finger. Cherry on top she then shooed me off the chair after 5 mins of blow drying before my hair was fully dry, didn't even brush my hair until she saw me finger combing it myself. The only reason I gave more than one star is that Maybe the other head spa staff is better but I will never come back because of how bad mine was. Poor attention to detail is an understatement.

I recently visited Blue Moon Head Spa and had a Platinum spa session with Jenny -- she was absolutely phenomenal. Her touch was incredibly gentle, and she stayed communicative throughout the experience, making sure my needs were met. Truly a gem of a masseuse and one of the highlights of my visit. However, in terms of atmosphere and overall experience, I did leave feeling a little underwhelmed. Given how highly raved about this place is on social media, my expectations were definitely higher. One of the bigger issues was the water temperature fluctuating from hot to cold, which was quite jarring and took away from the relaxation I was hoping for. Another major concern was being placed in a shared room with a complete stranger, who continued to talk about their own needs throughout the session. It was distracting and made it hard to fully relax. Additionally, the space isn't fully enclosed -- just separated by curtains -- so outside noise, including the sound of blow dryers and staff, filtered in and disrupted the peaceful environment. While the massage itself was wonderful and Jenny did an amazing job, the relaxation aspect -- which is such a big part of why we take the time (and spend the money) to visit places like this -- just wasn't fully there for me. The spa location may be in a strip mall in Orange, but when you get inside, it feels like a high end spa/salon. The decorum and demeanor of those providing the services (and at the front desk) is top-notch. It feels like the management is very hands-on and assures all the services are great. I did my research before selecting a head spa. I booked the Diamond treatment at Blue Moon for my daughter and I. We both loved it so much. It is hard to pick our favorite part. This was my first time going to any kind of spa to get a full service. I purchased the Diamond package and loved everything included. After receiving your robe you are taken to the next area to change. The entire area was super relaxing with other customers getting their treatment. The hot stone massage kind of caught me by surprised when the heat kept increasing, but Wendy would reassure me and would lightly tap it on my skin so I would get used to it. Wendy was very nice and noticed it was first time doing anything like this. She also has soft hands for neck, shoulder, and temple massage purposes and lengthy nails for scalp massaging. I just had the most incredible experience at Blue Moon Head Spa! This is my third time here! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was calming and beautifully designed, they already have Christmas Decorations up! making it so easy to relax. My technician, Ivy, was absolutely amazing!! Her massage was a 10/10. I had such a great experience at Blue Moon! I purchased the Diamond package and was handled like one. Allisa was amazing -- she really took her time with my hair and made me feel completely at ease. As a Black woman with curly hair, I wasn't sure what to expect walking in, but Allisa handled everything with so much care and confidence as best she could. Oh my gawd, ask for Amy as a tech, she was amazing! This was the best spa service I've ever had. The exterior is unassuming but after you get settled on the head spa bed and they start the treatment you are whisked away into wonderland. The service was incredible, I got the Gold package and added the facial, massage, hair loss treatment, exfoliation and after the hair drying a hair do. It was one of the best experiences. Miss Ruby is a magician! I had a wonderful morning with her and had the platinum package. I upgraded from the gold, totally worth it!! I will definitely come back to book another appointment with her soon. The space is cozy and quiet, they really do an excellent job creating a calm and relaxing environmen. I recommend using Zelle or venmo so you don't have to pay card fees or if you pay cash you get a discount as well. A great place for a mother daughter date or even a girls day with your besties. We wanted to pamper ourselves so we chose the 2 hour treatment and we got a really lovely experience! Jade did my service and she was amazing!!! Anna did the service for my friend and she got glowing reviews as well! We didn't know it, but they had a special promotion going on in November where they added on a bunch of free upgrades to the service. Not only did we get the full 2 hour treatment, they also did advanced face massage, as well as leg and feet massage. The place is small but so incredibly cozy. There's only 2 spots so we had a private and pampered experience. It's called a head spa, but it was truly more than that. We started off with a heated eye mask and scalp massage, followed by a face and neck massage, leg massage, and then a thorough double cleanse and conditioner. My hair felt so soft and revived after the treatment. And my face felt so smooth and glowy! Truly 2 hours of bliss. Once the massage and washing were over, we were treated to some cute snacks, followed my a thorough drying and even light styling of hair with Dyson hair dryers. Jade made sure to dry my low porosity hair thoroughly and even changed out some of the dryer heads to give me a little blow out! Then we were gifted a shampoo and conditioning treatment by the same company that they used to do the head spa. All in all, an amazing experience!

Small location very private but noisy. Holly was my tech. She was the only one in there for the first 1/2 of my 90 minute service, which meant during the service she was also the receptionist. Very heavy, rough hands. I have fine hair and it was a lot of pulling. Massage was fine still very heavy handed and the position to sit in at the end was not comfortable, maybe because I'm a taller? I'm not sure. Not sure if they were having plumbing issues, but the water was cold the whole service. It warmed only slightly but not comfortable. What was most concerning was how tangled my hair was at the end. I have never seen my hair in such a knotted mess. Yes she was able to detangle, by pulling it apart and ripping the hair. The tangles were caused by poor products and shampoo technique. A good conditioner and proper rinsing would never leave my hair like that, the 90minite service was also supposed to include blowdry, I was told to pay $10 more. I will not be returning. I wish them luck and hope they can use this as a reference to make the experience better. There are MANY head spas in the area that take better care of the client for the same price.

Having booked the service, we were allowed to utilize the amenities located in the spa. In order to get to the spa (if you're not staying in the hotel), you had to drive into the front entrance of the hotel. This is located on the side opposite of PCH. The only real option to park is through valet service which the spa takes care of as part of the cost of the service. Our massages were booked for 2pm but we arrived around 11:30am to have lunch and enjoy the amenities. The food was pretty good and the servings were plentiful. We got a chicken Cesar wrap and the charcuterie board. You're able to eat and have the food brought over just like you were ordering room service, it was definitely room service cost and they charged for delivery to the garden. After we finished eating, we lounged in the garden to catch some sun. This is the part where I say that it almost fit the bill... the weather loved tents providing shade had mold on the canvas. Maybe it was just weather warn because it does stay outside all year round? Not sure but I'm thinking that it definitely looked like mold to me. After the sun, we enjoyed the indoor amenities of steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. For me, there a few other patrons enjoying the amenities but my boyfriend said that he pretty much had the men's locker room all to himself. My favorite part about the amenities was the shower. The shower had a rainfall shower, a handheld shower and then several steam shower heads on three of the walls. The products in the shower smelled great and I would definitely use them again. For our massages, we have the couples suite. The room was absolutely gorgeous complete with 2 massage tables, 2 sinks, a gorgeous tub, 2 separate showers this beautiful stone piece on the far wall. Massages were great and relaxing. After the massages, our massage therapists led us out to the garden again to pretty much recover from the service and it was definitely needed. Upon checking it out from our service, we perused the gift shop. There were cute clothing pieces there as well as the products that were utilized as part of some of the services. When paying, they let us know that the gratuity was already covered in the cost so that was nice. Given the cost for each service, I thought it was a generous but also fair tip. Because we finished late afternoon, we decided to walk down to the pier and venture around there. We were able to keep the car there and the hotel bellman allowed us to store our gym bags in the hotel as well, all at no extra cost. If I was looking to splurge again, I would probably come back. What would sweeten the deal is if we were able to use the hotel pool too but they said that it is only allowed during the weekdays when the pool isn't too busy.
