The movers themselves were awesome, great customer service and personable. Unfortunately I only got half my stuff moved because the movers had to leave. They said they were not given the correct description of the services I needed and I was going to be slapped with a huge surcharge if I passed the 2-hour mark. During booking the appointment, I went over what I need TWICE to make sure it was clear, no surprises. I ended up moving the small stuff myself, and called off work. Super Inconvenient. read more

This has been the worst moving experience ever! First, they showed up and didn't even attempt to cover or protect my things. When I called and threw a fit, then suddenly they wanted to do something about it. Then, all of a sudden, my price went up by hundreds of dollars after I asked if they accepted cash because I had already gone and gotten the remaining balance after putting down the 20% deposit. Then they didn't even have the proper tools to break down my furniture, and these kids actually argued with me about MY dining room table, telling me I didn't need the legs taken apart. Like, who the hell is going to pay for it if something gets damaged?! Well, guess what? They proceeded to bend one of the legs of my table. Then they completely damaged the walls in my bedroom, and guess who has to pay to have a painter come touch them up? Me! Now I'm at the storage facility watching them literally drag my stuff across the floor. They half-assed wrapped everything, and the parts they're dragging aren't even properly wrapped. I am absolutely livid. If I wasn't moving out of state, I would seriously be looking into suing them for breach of contract because this is completely unacceptable. Oh, and my glass wasn't even properly wrapped. They literally just threw it in like it was nothing and expected it to be fine. Like, what the actual fuck?! I just finished, and they completely ripped me off. They quoted me one price, and then at the end tried to tell me they had only quoted me for an hour and a half, which is a complete lie! Then they said they were there for three hours, which is true, but during a good portion of that time they were literally waiting around for someone to bring them the tools they needed to take apart the furniture that needed to be taken apart. So now they're trying to charge me for time they wasted because they showed up unprepared. TAM is a total scammer. I'm beyond pissed because I paid for a service and got charged extra for their own incompetence. read more

Very disorganized and unprofessional company! Damages to our furniture and walls! They could even assemble or reassemble a bed. They call themselves a moving company but in reality they are slow, incompetent, and disrespectful! read more

I chose Blue Dolly over two competitors based on their written estimate: $453 (stated range $400-$575), 2 movers, arrival 12-2 PM. The reality: the crew arrived at 1:30 PM -- 90 minutes late -- and finished at 6:30 PM. The final bill was ~$1,000, more than double the estimate. This was a light load: ~1,000 lbs, ~35 boxes, no beds or appliances. The crew told me their previous job that morning had also been scoped at 2 hours and ran to 4 -- they arrived exhausted, and it showed. Two movers were sent to what was realistically a 3-man job. Along the way they gouged a wall at my old house and scratched a door and chipped the frame at the new one (see photos). I called their office multiple times during business hours -- no answer. The aftermath has been worse. I disputed in writing with photos. First they told me a damage claim was submitted with a 4-6 week window; two days later the same manager wrote there was "no claim number associated with this one." No adjustment offered. The estimate isn't a plan -- it's a sales tool. If you book them anyway, document everything. read more

My estimate was $870,00 but the actual bill came to $1700.00! To make it worse, I had a badly scratched table top, and a damaged lamp. The said they pay buy the pound of damage and offered me $69.00. The guys moving me did not seem to know how to pack a truck properly. Do not hire them. read more

I'd make it firm, detailed, and disappointed rather than overly angry. That usually hits harder because it makes it sound like they genuinely failed a family who was counting on them. I'm honestly incredibly disappointed with how this move was handled, especially after reading so many positive reviews and choosing this company because we thought we could trust them during an already stressful move. Before the move, we specifically communicated that my husband is disabled and that we needed help with packing. Somehow, that information apparently never made it to the actual movers. When they arrived, they seemed completely unaware that packing assistance was part of what we needed and told us they didn't have time to help. That immediately put us in an awful position because we had planned this move around the services we believed we had arranged. What happened from there was even more frustrating. They left a HUGE amount of our belongings behind, including things that were already packed and ready to go, claiming they had run out of room. Yet the truck was barely stacked or organized in a way that made efficient use of the space. We were left wondering why anyone would take our TV but leave behind the stand they had literally removed it from, or take our daughter's crib but leave her crib mattress behind. We arrived at our new home without basic things we needed because only portions of sets and essential items were moved. At the new house, things were brought into rooms but not actually set into place, and THREE separate bunches of used packing tape/trash were left in our yard for us to clean up. After paying a professional moving company, I never expected to be picking up the movers' garbage outside our new home. The part that has made this even more upsetting is that when we called to arrange for the company to come back, finish the move, and provide the packing help we originally needed, suddenly the price was nearly DOUBLE. Instead of anyone acknowledging what happened or trying to make the situation right, the person we spoke with came across as extremely arrogant and seemed more interested in adding charges. He even wanted to charge us for additional boxes for items that could easily be protected with the moving blankets already being used. At this point, after having half of our belongings left behind, the last thing we expected was to feel like the solution was simply to charge us substantially more money. We hired professional movers because we needed HELP. My husband is disabled, we have a young daughter, and this was already an exhausting transition for our family. Instead, we were left at our new home with only portions of our belongings, missing essentials, pieces of furniture separated from the items that go with them, trash left in our yard, and the prospect of paying almost twice as much just to get the rest of the move completed. What makes this especially disappointing is that we chose this company because of all the good reviews. We genuinely expected a completely different experience. I would have much rather been writing another great review about how your company helped make a difficult move easier for our family. Instead, we were left feeling like once the first job was over, nobody cared that our move was only half completed. I truly hope management looks into what happened and makes a genuine effort to correct this, because this is not the level of service we believed we were paying for, and it certainly isn't the experience your reviews led us to expect. read more

Horrible experience. I would never recommend this company. Left both of my places with wrecked walls from the movers. Lost the wheels for shelves that go under our bed. A new bed at that. Showed up close to 5pm, when they were supposed to be there noon- 2pm. The one mover had smoked weed in my house, before I had got back there. ( I was fueling my car up in town) I wasn't even 5 minutes away. I get back to my house and it smelled very strongly of weed. The one mover said that he had to use the bathroom. He also let both my cats out of the bathroom where they were staying, so the movers could move our items. The person with me even noticed how strong the weed smell was. The movers didn't get done until about 820pm. And the kicker, I get charged even more $$$ than my quote because it took them so long. They got lost even, going to the next place to drop items off. I didn't even have that many items to be moved. Other people move whole houses. This wasn't even 1/4 of a house. ‍ read more

I moved this past week with Blue Dolly and it was a terrible experience. They quoted me 1.5hrs to move me from. 2 bedroom apartment. I moved most of my items on my own and had only the large furniture left. I ended up only moving a bedrooms set and my living room items. They showed up late and without any tools. Got started over an hour lates after running to Homedepot to buy the tools. They worked at a snails pace and I even was moving items down to the truck myself 57 year old female to expedite their pace! In the end it cost me over $900 to move 2 rooms of furniture only!!!! It took a total of 5 hours!!!! When I called the company after the load was done before delivery they had no interest in hearing me out!!! HORRIBLE experience! Do not use this company! read more

We used blue dolly to move our family. It was a disaster. The movers were smoking weed in our bathroom, and were very rough with our furniture. They asked for lunch and drinks from us, which is typically something I would provide, but given the situation with the service, it came across as rude. They called their manager/owner, and after a conversation, they had determined the move took them longer, and we had more items than what was in the quote. Alec, wanted to charge an extra $1,000. They were trying to get my mother-in-law to sign for it while I was at our old house. I called Alec, and after a long conversation and having to be extremely firm, and threatening to write a negative review, he agreed on the original price. This was almost a year ago and I still get frustrated thinking about it. We have damaged furniture and walls, and they made our moving experience even more stressful. I would not recommend Alec and Blue Dolly at all. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with Blue Dolly. I hired them to move just a few large items during a 1-3 PM window the day before I had to be completely out of my apartment by noon on 5/31. The owner called that morning saying the movers would be late. Then the excuses kept coming all day and at 3:30 PM "one more hour," 5:30 PM "one more hour" again. They never showed. I clearly told the owner multiple times that my new condo required movers to be finished by 8 PM. Despite knowing that, at 7 PM he canceled my move and told me to "hire other movers." At 7 PM. On a Saturday night. Hours before I had to turn in my keys. They left me scrambling at the last minute in an impossible situation and didn't offer my deposit back until I demanded it. Completely unreliable, unprofessional, and unbelievably disrespectful of my time. I would never recommend Blue Dolly to anyone. read more

-The movers did not finish the job. They left posters, blankets, and products under the sink which Blue Dolly was going to charge me extra for them to go back and finish their job. -They did not leave the bolts to the headboard I can not put my bed together. -Broke my TV, Blue Dolly still needs to send me a claim and they have not. -Did not haul away the furniture pieces I needed to get rid of AND I paid for that furniture to be hauled away. -Horrible communication between the office and their staff. A half an hour was wasted with the Packers on the phone with the office trying to figure out the work order. !!DO NOT HIRE BLUE DOLLY!! read more

The guys were very polite and friendly, however I felt they could have treated my furniture and walls with a little more care. For example, they dragged my couch on its side across the floor rather than lifting it. Also, perhaps you should consider putting a felt pad under the two wheeler because every time they removed an item they potentially could have scratched my floors. read more

They were not told they were packing the apartment at all. The 3 young men that they sent were amazing!! They drove 4 hours north from the cities, packed, we were told it would take 3 hours tops! Extremely frustrated and disappointed with this company. Had them move me into a new apartment yesterday and they put a hole in the new wall, a divot in the floor, and dropped my flat screen. It is now totally broken. They also charged me time for the 30 minute break their workers took. The management's response to these issues has been unprofessional and unacceptable, offering $.60 cents per pound in compensation, which is less than $30 dollars. I only want reasonable compensation for my damaged property but they simply do not care. read more

These guys like to waste people's time, clearly don't get enough business so they tell you they'll do it for 100 and then add on hundreds after they said 100 was cool. Then when you go and write a review about them they contact you and beg you to change it and even offer to pay you to take it down. And then offer to do the move of one couch for 100 dollars if I take it down. Find someone else read more

Where do I start. Things broken, items lost, Items just taken apart & left at the home we were living in. Shelves left &or taken apart & left not only Shelves but the pegs to put them back together again. Walls damaged on the way out of home we had painted before leaving that home & did the same to the newly built home we moved into. Beds not put together the way they were meant to be & with missing center legs. Another bed missing parts. We wanted to take drawers out of dressers, they said that is not needed. Every dresser they tipped upside down & took it out of our home (can one imagine what happened to an loose items that were not cloths in the drawers. The one guy was constantly arguing with the other 2. The one guy doing all the arguing took our brand new hide abed couch down are stairs & out on to the street down our stair out side end over end by him self. If anyone can imagine. He was strong but end over end without help. He would have completely tore off our storm door to the home we left If I would not have demanded that I need to hold that door open. I could go on for hours on how not to use this company. They do not deserve one star. read more

these people are dishonest! I insisted on a firm estimate because they had between $300.00 and $450.00. the gal, Lucy, said she gave me a " firm" estimate of $340.27 which I approved with my signature. I was told it would be delivered the next day, the day it was to be delivered they called me and said they could not do it that day and asked if they could deliver it on Sunday instead. Sunday they were an hour late in delivery . The med who delivered it did a very nice job and I gave them a cash tip of 20.00. They asked me to sign the invoice and I said I would not because it was for $386.40 ,they called their manager, I spoke to him and told him Iwould pay the price that I agreed to in the estimate. He charged my card they had without my authorization for the amount. On the following days, my card was used again, first for a return of 86.90, then today that was charged again plus I never got credit for my deposit of $100.00. I had to cancel my card and file a dispute read more

I called Blue Dolly on 9/30/24 in a panic early morning requesting for a same day move for a 1 bedroom not a lot furniture but lots of college like bags & boxes needed move to a storage unit, Lucia the intake person who set up appointments was very nice understanding and professional she checked to make sure the job could be done at such short notice, once confirmed it could happen she provided a quote and informed me it would be a 3 man crew and assured me my items would be handled with care and they would arrive between the hours of 11 am or 1:30 pm they arrived at 1: 40 pm and informed me that one man couldn't make it but it would make the cost less. From start to finish it took them a total of 7 hours. I believe if they had the third person there it would not have took that long. I was quoted a price of $986.00 for a 1 bedroom move. I was charged and paid 1264.96. that's a huge difference than the quoted price. So be careful if you use this company it could cost you more than you expected! read more

Two good things about nextdoor neighbor. The guys who helped me move and the customer service response time. Other than that I wouldn't recommend. I was scheduled to move 8/1 and last second I had to reschedule due to an emergency. So I talked to the founder and rescheduled to 8/3 and the founder told me he would get back to me about a specific time. 8:00pm I get a call from him which I missed because it was late that night. Called the number back first thing in the morning. The secretary had no idea what I was talking about (called twice same result). Later on during the day at around 4pm I got a hold of the founder and rescheduled for the next day at 4pm. Next day rolls around and he calls me and asks if 4pm still works, I said yes and he said he sent his guys home for the day. We reschedule again for 1:15 pm on 8/5 the next day. 1:15 rolls around and I'm texting and calling seeing where they are. They finally get there at 4:10pm, they do the move and I get charged $350 over the estimate. Also asked for boxes and got no boxes. Go somewhere else read more
