This moving company is great! The owner confirmed with me the day before we moved. If they were not the least expensive, they were close. I significantly underestimated the amount of time our move would take. The move took over 10 hours and filled 3 trucks! The team of 4 guys who came out were on time, very polite and worked their butts off the whole day. I only saw them take one break the whole day! One of the guys told me he thought a mirror may have cracked, despite being wrapped carefully. He was very apologetic. I told him stuff happens. I saw them being very careful with all of our items. The mirror was a bummer, but could have happened to anyone. The owner had indicated he would give me a discount when we had first talked. However, there was not a discount at the end. I emailed the owner the next day and asked about the discount. He got back to me right away and said he would look into it. Frankly, that very minor issue does not change my review or opinion about this moving company. If we had to move again tomorrow (God forbid!) I would call these guys again. The Best Crew I could Imagine! We were fortunate to have Ruben, Jason, Gilbert, and Michael help us move one week ago. These guys were prompt, obviously knew what they were doing, and they worked SO hard. They were coming off a fourteen hour day from the day before, and although the estimator for our move had thought it would take about four hours, it ended up being a nine hour work day and there was never a moment of complaint or irritation from this crew. They absolutely went above and beyond to ensure an expedient, safe move. I have quite a lot of art, and some very valuable (if only sentimentally so) antique furniture and they treated all our belongings with the greatest of care. Not only did they show consideration to me and my family, it was clear that they looked out for each other too. It's a good sign when there is clear camaraderie between workers. Moving can be extremely stressful and exhausting, but Ruben, Jason, Gilbert, and Michael took so much weight (literally and metaphorically) off our shoulders and I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone. Amazingly great team who did a tremendous job! We called this company on very short notice, as we originally had some friends offer to help us move and they decided not to help only a few days prior to the move. Within two days of calling, Marty came out and gave us a quote. Three days later, his team came out to do the packing, followed by the move the next day. They were absolutely wonderful. They had my entire three bedroom, two bathroom house packed, labeled, and staged in the garage for easy loading in the truck the following day within 3 1/2 hours. We have a dog who is constantly under foot and demanding to play with everyone she comes into contact with and, while they were packing and loading things, they were simultaneously playing with her and showering her with attention! I am giving them one star ONLY because I had one hard working mover named Derek. He was great, hustled and was always pleasant and friendly... I called a month in advance to reserve and asked for 3 movers. I had a few friends use this company and they recommended them to me so that's why I went with them before checking out other reviews. I'm just going to bullet point my complaints or I would be writing a short story. *they said they would be there between 830-9. Arrived at 930. *I had my house packed and ready to go *2 movers got into a heated argument and one of them was swearing and they all pretty much slowed down/stopped working for about 30 minutes while this happened. This was about an hour into the job *sent home the out of control guy and didn't send me another mover. They said, "this is a 2 man job anyway. Which is my decision as the customer, not theirs) * one guy moved slowly and leisurely while Derek worked his butt off. They had the truck packed up at 130-2 (4- 4.5 hours) which is how long my entire move took two years ago. I had the same amount of stuff. *called owner. He was rude to me and offered to drop me to the 2 man rate (duh) and knocked off a half hour of time because of the fight. When I tried to complain about the service, etc, he snapped at me and was rude. He also told me not to tip his movers since his company was losing money on the job. Wow. *they arrived at my new place (which is about 2 miles away) 30 minutes later. I finally called them and they had stopped without calling to let me know, while I waited. *again, Derek was running and carrying most everything inside while the other guy "organized" things inside the back of the truck so the unload took 2 hours. They finished at around 4:45 and charged me for 6.5 hours at the 2 man price. *I asked them to move a bed frame upstairs from my garage for me and they didn't. I asked them several times about it. *many boxes (clearly labeled) in wrong rooms *I'm still unpacking, so may have other complaints, but decided to write this review so I could just let it go and start enjoying my new home. *owner did leave me a voicemail this morning to apologize. They were very unprofessional helping us. Used my personal wood to create a slide down my stairs to send my boxes and bins flying down. About $200 worth of plastic bins got damaged among several other items. My brand new recliner got broken. They never set up my bed which they said they would. They scratched my walls and several places refused to take off the door or railing. My brand new painted house is completely scuffed up also my railing has about 11 deep scratches in it. When we got to my new house they just wanted to unload everything in the garage instead of bringing it to the rooms which was the arrangement. About halfway through unloading they got extra lazy and just stopped bringing things to the room. My garage soon became full of random household items. They were even playing with my personal items and moved them to a different location. Also had touched personal items and move them that were already in the house that definitely shouldn't have been touched. And that we're highly sensitive. My bed frame that they took apart to get up the stairs showed up scratched up so bad because they had it all in one piece on the truck. I have items that are missing and I can't seem to find whatsoever including a mirror and other items. They only worked for 4 hours the first day, they left before 2:00 p.m. came back the next day and loaded the second truck. They seemed slow and lethargic. One of them seems like they were high when they showed up the first day. I am over all very disappointed and upset with my experience I paid way too much for the love of service and quality I got. They even used my tape gun, and my brand new box as a mat to enter in and out of my old home without asking. Used my $150 lumber to create a slide to make their job easier which resulted in damaging several of my items and my wood. They left one of their ginormous boxes in my garage with loose items thrown in it of mine mixed in with things that were wrapped in two moving blankets and just decided to unload it and leave it. Also they had my mother sign and pay for the move without walking through the house to make sure there was no damage. In the documents it says that the homeowner is supposed to walk through the home with the movers for a final walkthrough. Neither happened at Old home or new home. We feel like we were scammed and got ripped off. Now we are left replacing several damage items and bins. Also while bringing in our new stove they dropped it because they could barely fit it through the door. They refused to take off the door which I suggested several times. My brand new stove toppled over and the grades came flying off. Another worker jogged over because he thought the stove broke. I have yet to use it and confirm if it works or not. Very unprofessional overall very dissatisfied would not recommend to anyone ever! read more

I chose this company to move our small office from one location to another because they advertised that they are able to move heavy objects. They were correct, their crew did a marvelous job and they easily handled the heavy objects. The arrived on time, they were very courteous, and they wrapped all items prior to packing. They took a minimal 15 min lunch break before unpacking in the new location. They did not damage any object. They placed items where we asked them to do so. read more

These guys are the best! We had hired a different mover whom turned out to be a no-call/no-show, I called several movers, when I called Help-U-Pack-N-Move in desperation on finding a reputable mover, they returned my call within a 1/2 hour. Not only did they squeeze us in on the date we needed, they called ahead to "reassure" us they were coming. They showed up on time, did a quick walk through to see the scope of what needed to be moved, and started immediately. They took last minute items, made an extra stop to our storage unit and were as quick and efficient unloading the truck as they were loading it. I contacted them requesting a quote. The city is tearing down our house as part of a new street project, and compensating the homeowners/renters with moving costs, etc. I was told to contact two moving companies for estimates so the city could pick one. I sent an email request with an arbitrary date since we don't know when we are moving because the city controls that. I was told that they were busy that day and "Sorry." Didn't ask if I was flexible, no professionalism at all. Not sure I want them handling my stuff if they respond to a simple request that way. read more

Help-U-Pack-N-Move did a great job with my move. They arrived early, communicated well and were respectful. We paid for four movers and one truck, but they supplied six movers and two trucks for no additional charge. The movers were efficient, but also careful. I was impressed that they covered my furniture and then shrink wrapped it. My entire move from a two bedroom apartment to a house was completed in under two hours. I didn't expect the $85 destination fee, but I didn't mind paying it as I got a great deal off Angie's list. I would definitely recommend Help-U-Pack-N-Move to my friends. read more

I hope this review helps others looking for movers. The day started and ended horribly stressful and anxiety-provoking. The two guys hired to help me were very, very slow, they were clearly amateurs, didn't know what was going on, communicated poorly--both to each other and to me. Not only did they break one of my kitchen chairs, but my other kitchen chair is long gone, never to be seen again. I have no idea where it went. I had to wait around for hours for them to be done--it took a ridiculous 6-7 hours for them to be done with a one bedroom with not that much furniture. They were creepy, not professional.They did not know where to park, and they didn't even know how to get to my new address! Pathetic. In short, I never want to hire movers again, nonetheless this moving company, and if I were to offer advice, I would say to be sure to pick a reputable, well-used company with reasonable rates, professional--not amateurs, insurance for damage done, and try to move just your furniture, no boxes.
