Very below average salon. I live 2 mins away from Blue Ash Nails so I thought I would be great to go to my neighborhood salon. I was wrong. 1. Whenever my daughter and I make an appt together they don't take us at the same time so I end up waiting up to an hour for her to be done. What's the point of making an appointment? 2 They aren't very friendly. It just feels like they're shuffling us around. 3. They don't enforce COVID restrictions. Customers were siting at the drying station without masks on and nobody said anything. 4. It's not clean. They don't clean the stations between people or use hand sanitizer before they start on each client. GROSS! 5. They're overpriced. So, I will be going 15 mins out of my way to AMBIANCE where it's clean and the service is exceptional. read more

Second time coming. Had a weird experience with one of the techs this time (enough for me to never go back), but it could have been a personal friction. That said, the inconsistencies discussed below are very accurate. For example, each time my sister makes an appointment for us to get our nails done together. The first time we were able to sit by one another - the second time we were not able to sit by one another. In fact, the woman suggested I wait as my sister got her nails done vs honoring my appointment time. I let her know that that wasn't going to work for me and so she made sure that I got the next tech. The first time I went everyone was pretty kind and the second time folks were rude. My first time, the gel lasted about a little over a week. I will definitely update on how long the polish lasts this time. These differences only speak to the inconsistencies (noted in the comments below) of the business. Came in to get gel manicure and was pressured into getting dip. I said "no" multiple times and she ignored my answer. Felt extremely forced and had no choice bc she already started working on my nails. The whole time she talked about payment and how I should pay in cash. I only had my card with me and told her just that she pointed to the atm and how I should just get cash out. Very unprofessional and will never go back. I really want to love Blue Ash Nails, and I have been coming here for a while with mixed results. However I've had such inconsistent results and I think I need to take a break before I go back. Blue Ash Nails is a wee bit cheaper than other salons (I'm talking $2-$3 less) than I've tried. I have gotten shellac and SNS, in addition to pedicures. The problem is that sometimes the quality is great and the products last, and sometimes they chip right away. Shellac should last 2 weeks without a problem, but oftentimes I would find that my nails chip early. I also got SNS twice (they recently added this service) and the first time it lasted over 3 weeks and looked great. The second time, the girl was not as detailed with the process and most of the nails chipped in about a week and a half, with two completely coming off before 2 weeks had passed. Maybe I'll return one day, but in the meantime there are plenty of other decent places closer to my work and home. read more

I was skeptical of this place because of the reviews but went anyways and absolutely loved it! The service was amazing and our nail technicians were so kind. They serve complimentary pop or wine, which is a fun luxury. The place is sparkling clean and is obviously very well kept. We got pedicures and the massage we got with them is the best and longest massage I've ever had with a pedicure! Would absolutely recommend. read more

Very unhappy. I usually go somewhere else, but they were closed so I decided to try BAN. Not only was the cost higher, the quality was terrible. I got sns dipping powder, instead of using color for each layer, she used clear, so my dark color polish is relatively see through. Additionally, my cuticles are covered in powder. I'm so unimpressed with this place and I will not be going back. Overpriced and bad service. read more

The place is roomy and the massage pedicure chairs are nice. The staff is friendly but beyond that, don't bother going. They try to do too many people at the same time and instead you wait and wait and wait in the middle of your pedicure. For me, one person did the first part of my pedicure and then i was told someone else was going to do my polish. 30 minutes later, I was still waiting. I told one tech that I had been waiting a long time and was told that my nail tech was told to start on another person. After 30 minutes of waiting for polish and clearly not being valued as a customer, I left. There are too many other places to go where they are good and value their customers. read more

Very below average salon. I went in for an express pedicure and they didn't even soften out the cuticles nor did they clean my feet using a pumice stone or anything else. To top it all, the manager was extremely obnoxious and picked up a religious debate with me! Well, that's one lost customer. Am never going back there again. read more

I went here to get acrylics, I've had them on for a week and a half and half of my right thumbnail has chipped completely off, and there is a chunk of acrylic also missing from my left index finger. Acrylic should definitely not break as easily as mine has. Also, when I went in for the appointment I had made for 4 o'clock, I was not seated until 4:45. Once I was seated, the guy who was supposed to be doing my nails left for ten minutes and came back smelling like tobacco. I waited 45 minutes past my appointment, and another 10 for my manicurist to take a smoke break, only to get crappy nails that didn't last. Then while doing my pedicure asked me how long it had been since I had a pedicure and made faces the whole time she was doing my pedicure. I felt so self conscious that I almost cried. I have been coming to blue ash nails since January, and every time I had to return for a repair after one week. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt but this last visit didn't sit well with me. I came in a week ago and ended up back today at which I asked for a repair for a broken nail of which is all my real nails, the repair and suggested service was done and then cost me $40 additional dollars, this is very disappointing due to me getting the service a week ago and it cost me $60. I will not be returning to this nail salon the gentleman who always does my nails has always been really nice but I should not have to return each and every time a week after a service. Tech was nice and service was fast (almost rushed), but didn't like the way my nails turned out. Paid $10+ for coffin nails. One hand is completely uneven/slants one way. Went back for her to fix it. This is such a great nail salon. I came here from out of town for a wedding, and went with an entire bridal party. They were very accommodating of a large group and worked hard to make sure none of us waited too long. I never felt rushed or like a burden. The manicure I got was great and I loved the color! Fifth time here- and I won't be back! Signed in, guy told me to have a seat and pick out color. 20min later I ask how much longer- seems he (turns out he was the owner) forgot I was there. They had a group coming in- he said he'd take care of me in 5min. 10min later- told to go back to his station; he came and took off polish on one finger and then stood up and went somewhere else for 2-3min, came back and took polish off another finger, got up and walked away again, 2-3min. Then came back griping about his employees talking about his business. Poor job on the shellac- lumpy and uneven. Will have to wait and see how the acrylic holds up. He didn't once ask me how I wanted my nails, if I liked the shape, etc. he stopped working on my nails to get up and do something or answer the phone a total of 12 times- hour and a half for a fill.... No apologies offered. This owner needs to be more concerned with the customer he has in front of him - not who is calling. WORST nail job ever- best of luck. read more

I was visiting my friend and we decided to get our nails done. My friend made the appointment. When we showed up for our appointment on time, a man checked us in and scolded my friend for not registering in the guestbook. The same guy ended up doing my nails. It came up that I was from Boston. He immediately started talking about politics and illegal immigration and how unfair it is that "liberals leave the border open to illegals" while he had to wait 11 years for his "legal" entry. It made me very uncomfortable how preachy and confrontational he was. I told him I didn't want to talk about that. The rest of the mani was very brisk and rough. I could feel his anger. Not a relaxing way for me to spend an hour - or $60 on a dip. . The dip mani he gave me wasn't great (bumps and blemishes). Then he urged me to pay in cash. Pretty sure that is how this extremely law-minded citizen cheats the US government out of taxes! Also my friend (who actually did have a nice manicurist) saw a bug run across the floor. read more

They services aren't great and I got my nails done 5 days ago and they are acrylic gel. They are already falling off and getting hair in them. They are streaky and see through. The manager was the one who did them. They don't offer refunds but don't post it anywhere. He started getting nasty with me and threatened to call cops. read more

I have not had a good experience here and I've come three times now. The staff are rude and don't seem to care about your relaxation levels or happiness, they want you in and out and will toss you around to different seats with different techs. They do not start appointments on time and at the end of all that my nails are average and their prices are average. They do not seem to enforce the mask mandate with the customers. read more

Love this place! The staff is incredibly friendly, and the place is very well maintained. Sam was my nail technician, and I could not be more pleased with the results. I am VERY picky and detail-oriented, but she was even more so. If I lived in the area, I would definitely make this place my go to nail spot and make Sam my go to girl! read more

I have been going to Blue Ash Nails for years and usually have a good experience. I decided to treat myself to a mani pedi for Valentines Day. I had a 7:00 appointment and they closed at 8:00. I asked the counter person if I should cancel the manicure and just do the pedicure because of time and he said "no." I ended up getting a manicure while I was in the chair for the pedicure. Everything felt very rushed. It was not a relaxing treat. Neither the manicure or pedicure were up to standard. I still tipped but felt ripped off. read more

My 8 year old daughter had a terrible experience at Blue Ash nails on December 20. The person doing her nails proceeded to tell her his version of Christianity and Christmas and that she didn't know anything about her Christian holiday. I've been here about 5 times to get shellac manicures and only 2 of the those times has the polish actually lasted for the normal 2 weeks. One time it lasted more than 4 weeks! Which is what kept me coming back. I am really disappointed as I have tried and tried again to have a satisfactory experience as they are pretty friendly, the wait time is never long and it is close to my house. But their prices are on the higher end and it's not worth the convenience any more. read more

Blue Ash Nails is a very modern nail salon with a nice interior set up. I didn't see any pricing posted and the technician that did my fill in and polish change on my toes was moving so fast she wasn't paying attention to detail. She missed the side of a few of my nails when she polished them and when it was time to pay she just asked for my card and didn't even say how much the services were. In addition, after we finished she just dropped my stuff off at the drying table without waiting for me to get to the table and sit down. She didn't even offer to help me pull out the chair since my nails were wet. Overall, my first impression was average service at a higher price. read more

Selected this salon for a pedicure/manicure after reading yelp reviews. The salon is large and clean and there was no wait at the time I arrived. I have been to other salons where they offer a deluxe style pedicure that is the ultimate pampering for your feet. This place fell very short of expectations. Basically I paid $50 for additional lotion on my feet. The chair was the most impressive thing. As for the manicure, my 6 year old niece could have done better. I don't wear polish and just needed a basic service. The tech clipped my nails crooked, and didn't file them and did not buff them. She did use the rough side of the file on the nail bed itself, and now I have fine grooves on my thumbnails. Maybe they are better on false nails, I'll never know read more

The man at the desk immediately tried to up-sell me. That is never appreciated. The staff is friendly enough but parts of my toenails were missing polish, I could tell without my eyeglasses. I potted for a shellac manicure. The nails on one hand wee clipped short the other kept long. I believe the manicurist tried to do a good job but if I'm paying for something I should leave upset that I wasted my money. I expected better. It didn't look as good as I expected. I used to come here all the time, and they always did great. I went recently, and just as other reviews previously they did my manicure on the pedi chair, and my nails look terrible. They asked me 4 times if I was going to pay my bill, and I already had..and tipped them considering I hated the results.... so I spent 75 plus tip, to not have a relaxing experience at all....and I don't know if it was because I was wearing sweatpants and a t shirt on my day off but nobody else was harassed about their bill. The new building is roomy and the chairs are nice, but that's about it. The tech was floored when I told her not to cut my cuticles because they tear. She wasn't friendly. The water was cold. The towels were stained. She told me that without cutting my cuticles and no massage, I could pay less and get an Express pedicure. I kind of wanted a massage, but she acted like it an extra $20 on top of the regular pedicure. So I said okay. She did scrub my feet well, but she did a bad job of trimming my nails and the paint didn't last as long as when I do my own nails. No one came over to help me get my shoes on when I was done drying. (I was 7 months pregnant when I went a month ago). I only paid $21 or something for the Express pedicure. The lady in the chair next to me was really irritated. She said she had been soaking her feet in really hot water for 20 minutes and no one had even asked her to pick her color or talked to her. I had my first pedi here on a late Sunday afternoon. They were quick, courteous, and did a beautiful job! I was pleasantly surprised!
