My favorite nail place in all of Cincinnati. My nails last 3-4 weeks and they always look amazing

I had just gotten my nails done 6 days ago.. I paid $63 for a full set, they haven't even grown out yet, and one completely popped off. I called to see what they could do and the lasy that answered the phone said, "the girl that did them doesn't work here anymore, so you'll have to pay to get a new set". unprofessional and money hungry. would not go back there ever! read more

Just moved to the area and found Polish nails through an online search. They have an older building but the staff was friendly and welcoming. They had a few other customers when I arrived but quickly brought out a bowl so I could soak off my old nails. They have a great selection and the guy who did my nails was very meticulous with the shaping and put in work on my cuticles. He was not rough nor did he cut my fingers. I went today for the first time and got my nails done. I called and made an appointment and was seen on time for that appointment. I am very happy with the final look of my nails, the customer service was great, and I actually got a massage on my legs, not just a lotion rub. The chairs do not massage well because of their age, but the leg massage was worth it. Over all I paid $75 for this French pedi and will be going back. read more

I had been going to Cozy Nail Spa in Monroe for about 6 years. After having moved back home to the 'Nati after a two-year trek in the wilderness of Indianapolis, I found Polish Nails. Cozy Nail is so good, I made the drive from North Avondale the first month, then settled on Polish Nails. I'm happy. "Chanta" (the owner) is a very sweet and professional woman, and her staff follows her lead accordingly. I'm presently and regularly being cared for by "Hanna", but even when she's not available, any and every person there takes great care of my hands and feet and lovingly advise you on post-salon care. (Did I write "advise", I meant "admonish".. :) ) Polish Nails is not a very big place, and they are very good about keeping things moving, even when I'm (customarily) late.. PROS: first time here- Went in on Saturday for a 2pm appointment. I sat down right on time and the tech got to work. She was quiet- which I liked. I am not one to talk when getting my nails done. She was gentle on my cuticles and took care in shaping my nails. I got a gel mani done and it looks great. I was very pleased with the outcome. She was quick but diligent. I was out in under an hour! And it was only $35 for a full mani. And $25 for a polish change which I don't think is bad at all! What I really liked is all the tools are in individual plastic sanitized medical grade bags so you know it's clean and only been used on you. That's a perk! CONS: the place is small!! When I say small I mean cramped...only 8 stations to do nails and it is like 2 rows on top of each other. The pedi station is 6 seats facing the rows. The whole place was about the size of a large bedroom...the drying stations were on the wall very cramped to the mani row. The seating was very claustrophobic. The place was packed so I assumed they get good clientele by the looks but they really need to expand. Also I didn't like how the pedi saltation didn't have bags in the water bin- very unsanitary for my liking. I won't be getting a pedi there. Also the sink is right in the middle of everything so they clean their mani bowls in front of everyone instead of in a back room. Overall the place could be bigger but I am pleased with my mani. We will see how long it lasts! That's the real test. But for now I will keep at 4 stars. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!! This is the second time I've been there and the first time I've written a review. I was lucky enough to have Ann again and my step daughter was with a man, who I didn't get his name. I received shellac polish and a manicure while my step daughter received acrylic nails. Both of our nails turned out perfect! I received a few bad manicures in Vegas and in the Caribbean that my nails are shot! Thankfully Ann was able to save me, my nails and my cuticles!! She is the best and is very meticulous about her work. She's so sweet and just amazing!!! I highly recommend going here to Polish! The people here are great and the environment is relaxing. Also my step daughter is extremely happy with her nails! He shaped them perfectly and she's posting on social media about them. Also the prices are great! Excellent work, best manicures I've ever had are from here. The only downside is that they don't really have a website, they are a small shop and typically very busy, so scheduling an appointment is a must, but they don't always answer the phone. I've had to call multiple times over a few days to get an appointment. But, despite being a little hard to get ahold of, I'm giving five stars because, again, the quality of their work is superior! read more

If you are looking for great customer service and great work--look no further! I've been to Polish before but haven't been in a couple years so I decided to return because my good friend goes here religiously and I am so happy I did! I called the day before to get an appointment (always call because you may be waiting for a long time since it is a smaller salon) and they got me in right after work which was perfect. They are amazing at SNS dip powder so that's what I decided to get and I showed my tech, Jenny, a picture and she consulted with another tech to be sure they understood what I wanted. They agreed and she showed me on one nail first before we started. It looked great so I said yes, please! She really took her time to make sure she had the right shape and asked if I wanted tips on a few so that they matched the length on the others which I agreed would look best. The end result was AMAZING! Although what I asked for was tedious work (pink & white ombré) she did amazing work. I am so happy with my results! And don't judge a book by its cover. The interior is small and isn't very updated but the quality of work and the customer service is so great that you will look past it! read more

Okay, I don't know what I was thinking going to other nail salons and not think to come to this one (I've missed out over the years and regret it). I read other yelpers reviews and was sold. I called to make an appointment because I didn't want to make the same mistake with the last nail salon I went to and wait for a long time. They were able to take me on a busy Friday afternoon. Appointments are highly recommended. Polish is located on Erie Ave across from Saigon Cafe. It's kind of hidden. It's the right side of the building (lower level). I walked in and the staff was very friendly. I love their Polish Selection (many colors to choose from). They were not old expired polish. They use OPI and Essie products. They may have more, but that is all I saw (they also offer Shellac). The service I needed done was a manicure and pedicure which was $42.00. I also added the $8.00 (scrub) to exfoliate my feet and legs which was worth it to me (my legs came out so soft). I got my pedicure done first. The chairs are so comfortable (you can adjust to massage your back with a remote-if you wish) and the water was just right. Not too hot to burn your skin but semi luke warm. I could've fell asleep. My manicurist paid attention to detail, accomodating and was very gentle. She was quick too. My manicure was also serviced with extra care. At the end, I felt and looked really pretty. The polish looked so smooth and and my skin soft. Even though she was quick/efficient, I did not feel like rushed to leave, like most nail salons. Clean Dryer Section/Station are available for you to sit while your nails to dry. The salon and balthrooms are clean. Plenty of parking. What a great experience. I've been here before a couple of years ago when they first opened up, only to get a manicure. I received great service then. I forgot about this place (I don't see why I would). So glad I read the reviews and decided to come here. I will now be a repeat customer. read more

- I've never had to wait longer than 5 minutes to be seen, and I almost always just walk-in. - Essie and OPI colors, mostly, both standard and gel, with options for art. - They are the only nail place I know of that uses an autoclave for their tools, so you don't have to worry about the risk of gross nail infections. - I just removed my NYE mani from Polish 2 days ago due to growth, not chips. It lasts every single bit of 2 weeks, and that's coming from a gal who almost never gets gel manis. - BYO-Whatever? Two thumbs up with 8 fingers also! To celebrate a weekend with a visiting girlfriend I decided a session for a mani and pedi would be in order. While reading other reviews I found that you could bring your own champagne and snacks. I used the online application to email about same day appointments, but I am still waiting for an email back for my message. Luckily, I realized after an hour that perhaps I should follow up with a phone call. We arrived for our appointment early and decided to hit up the nearby Kroger to grab our Champagne and bonbons. There was a small advertising firm beside the salon that allowed us to begin our self indulgence outside on a small patio before our appointment. The small shop was busy for a Friday Afternoon so I advised always making an appointment. As other reviews have noted the pedicure massage chairs were fantastic. We asked for Oktoberfest themed nails, German flag design and all, using a little Pintrest to make the idea a reality. The nail technicians were very skilled in helping us create our designs. As I type, I look down and realize I may need to revisit for a polish or a little more self indulgence again soon all thanks to Polish Nails! read more

I recently visited this adorable little nail salon to get the fourth pedicure of my life (I am somewhat addicted now, they've replaced massages as my monthly "self indulgence"). My TL;DR: getting a pedicure at Polish Nails was wonderful experience and I'll definitely be back. I was very impressed with the service. The nail tech was very gentle on my toes and cuticles and I did not feel one bit of discomfort. She did a quick and clean job applying the polish, which was apparently sheer and required three coats. She quietly chatted with the tech next to us, and let me do my own thing, which I appreciate because I was there to relax! The service took about 45 minutes and the leg/foot massage lasted about 3 minutes and was a nice addition. Overall, the nail tech killed it. In addition to great service, Polish Nails is a very clean place-- when I walked in there was a young lady disinfecting the nail stations and tidying up shelves. However, it didn't have that disinfectant / nail polish remover smell that some places have, which was also appreciated because that odor gives me a migraine. My only complaint is that the space itself is very small-- the drying stations are in the corner and it's somewhat cramped, and I'm sure if the salon had been more crowded, it might not have been such a pleasant, relaxing experience. However, this barely detracted from it and the staff can't do anything about the size of the building! Finally, I have to comment on the price: it really can't be beat. It was only $33 for a full pedicure, which I thought was very affordable, especially considering it took 45 minutes and I received the full experience, not just a quick nail painting. The only negative would have to be there is no place prices are listed. Although any service is worth each penny it would be nice to know the prices prior. This used t be my favorite place, I'm so sad to have to find a new salon The woman who did my nails answered, and had a conversation on her phone 4 times while doing my nails. I explained to her that I had friend to come here multiple times recently and it was closed. She told me "yeah, sometimes we get so busy we just close early". So yeah, they don't give the customers any warning on this new hour system. This place used to feel relaxed even while busy. I have never had any issues getting an appointment or getting in as a drop in. They give a great manicure and pedicure at a very reasonable price. My only complaint is that they used to just offer to do nail art for my (now 10 yo) daughter for free when I would get my nails done. She loved it...and the art was AWESOME. But I went back since the time that was 'the norm' and the service wasn't just offered to me like it had been previously. When I did ask, it was like they were doing me a favor. And then another visit, I paid for the polish change and they didn't just ask about nail art. When we asked, the person doing my daughter's nails was confused and she seemed really put off that my daughter wanted something different than what she suggested. It really turned me off. Still it only cost $6 but I honestly didn't even know how much it would cost before she did it because of the confusion we were having. I just gave up and took the risk that it would be cheap. We've tried other places for my daughter's nails but they're so crazy expensive that for special occasions we go back...but it's just not the same as it used to be and I get nervous about the experience of asking. read more

Loved this place! I was looking for a cute, local place for me and some of my bridesmaids to get our nails done the day before my wedding. I found Polish on Google Maps but once I read these Yelp reviews, I was sold! This is an independent, family-owned and run nail salon - it's very clean and cute! I recommend an appointment because they're not a huge operation - only 4 pedicure chairs. Their quality is also 5 stars for me - I opted for a shellac mani and 2.5 weeks later, my shellac is still in tact! Usually, I've already started picking at my shellac mani by this point because it's started to peel up - not this one! If I lived in Cincinnati, this would definitely be my go-to nail place. After reading a ton of yelp reviews looking for somewhere to get a Mani Pedi in Hyde Park I chose this place because it had the least amount of bad reviews... I'm disappointed yelpers because not only was this place totally nasty inside but I just got a terrible manicure pedicure for $50 - $60 with tip that looks as if I painted it myself .....all of my nails are different shapes and the polish is super thick and clumpy :( won't be back read more

This was my first time visiting this nail salon & it definitely won't be my last. I think I found my new go to nail salon!! First and foremost the service was fantastic. I felt welcomed and relaxed. It's not the fanciest salon on the inside & it's small but I'm not paying for a fancy salon I'm paying for great service and gorgeous lasting nails... so of course then there's my nails... I usually go with gel and acrylic but I had those removed and went with sns. They turned out amazing!! All around it's a great salon & much better than the overpriced nail salon in Oakley that I've tried out in the past where the ambiance was fantastic but it lacked greatly in every other area. read more

I've been coming here for years and have watched them grow. As a small family owned business, they are super friendly and accommodating, unlike the other chain nail places around. I always call ahead and make an appointment, as there is not much room to wait in here. They do a great job on my nails and everything is pretty clean and well maintained. My only beef is that it's packed in here, like to the walls. I used to think the space was pretty crowded, however, I went yesterday and they've crammed in 2 more pedi chairs and even more mani tables. In return, they've basically removed the waiting area. This is a great place to get manis and pedis for an affordable price in hyde park. It's a smaller place ran by a husband and wife; they are so friendly and get the job done right. Sometimes I go alone and sometimes with girlfriends (they have 4 chairs and they can pretty much manage 2-4 customers at 1 time) and it's always a great experience. I haven't had to wait long like other reviews say but I do make sure to have an appointment and they are pretty much open if you give a few days notice. They are amazing. I walked in the other day with my mom and they treated us like queens. During the pedicures they were very generous with their time and massages. It took two hours for a pedicure and shellac. The price was the same as everywhere else on Erie, but the service was much better. The staff was very friendly and chatted if you felt like chatting or just let us zone out in the massage chair. I think when we were done they were running about 10 minutes behind with appointments, but they didn't treat us or the next clients like they were rushed. I plan on going back soon! read more

I tore a natural nail (1/3 of the way) last night. I found them on Yelp and saw the reviews. I showed up at 12:15pm today (a Sunday) and they repaired my nail with a non-damaging method, made a quick polish change and even fit me in for the Signature Pedicure. I visited this nail salon for the first time on a busy Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. The place was hopping and I was a bit afraid they wouldn't have time to squeeze me in for a mani/pedi for my birthday/bridal shower/bachelorette party weekend. Despite having no appointment they were able to fit me in within 10 minutes. The pedicure was really nice and thorough. They really work the gross dead callused skin off of your feet and do a great job of cuticle clean up. The foot and leg massage was great. During the actual nail painting, they wrap your lower legs in these steamy hot damp cloths. They feel almost too hot at first, but it was kind of pleasant. However when they cooled down, it felt really odd and cold. I wasn't a huge fan, but maybe others like that. The pedicure chairs also have built in mechanical chair massage capabilities. I definitely took advantage of that. For the manicure, I did a french manicure shellac look. The technician paid great attention to detail with the white tips and made sure they all looked symmetrical to my other hand. Over all I was very impressed with this place and will be back for my wedding nails! read more
