I have been going here several years, they have changed ownership a couple of times. the owner now is rude, if not mean. He doesn't respect his customers. I went about 1 month ago and spent $130. for mani pedi. That was with tip. nothing special just regular on toes and gel on fingers. it lasted about a week and I had to cut them down,they were peeling. I went to today just to do my nails. I told him and he was defensive immediately. I wasn't asking for anything free, I just thought he should know. tried to up sell me to something else. took the gel off of one hand and was still overtaking me. I said just take this off my other hand and I will leave. he said if I do I will charge you at that point I said I will never come back, he said good. Due to my nail salon being over booked I decided to try to this place out. It had decent reviews. It was off to bad start when so first walked in an they ask "how can we help you" I replied I have SNS an I need a fill. A older lady getting her nails done smarts off "you can't fill those you have to start from the beginning." I was biting my tongue at this point because I didn't even speak to her I was speaking to the nail tech but whatever she got her smart comment in. I picked out SNS go over to the males station an he starts on my nails. He kept telling me you can't do SNS it won't last use gel? I could barley understand him an he knew I wanted SNS but continued to do what he wanted to do. I thought he was doing SNS then I noticed he started filling my nails with the acrylic gel? At this point I was so annoyed an just wanted to be done. When he started filing my nails it hurt so bad I have never experienced that kind of pain before. I didn't notice the cuts until I got home an my fingers were burning an started bleeding. Now I am hoping I don't get an infection due to your nail tech cutting me multiple times as seen in the pictures. I will never be back an if I get an infection I will be in contact with whoever to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Terrible experience first time experience! Im shocked at all the great reviews! Dirty, unprofessional and terrible job with my nails! Cold and rude. Talked amongst themselves entire hour. I dont need to chat or have conversation necessarily but at least acknowledge your customer! It truly was a twighlight zone experience. Uneven length nails, too thick and forgot I wanted a manicure. I didn't say anything cuz half way through i was done with the place! Employee coughing with mask off his nose and truly the place was not clean. Especially during covid. Im not one to complain. My entire life my job has been customer service. I tip BIG even with mediocre service. Their overpriced and not sure if price was raised during pandemic. $50. I paid $57 to be so disappointed! Went home and cut my nails off! One may ask " why didn't you say something " I'm not one to be rude but then I leave unhappy! I have been going here for 4 years now and as of my experience yesterday will not be returning strictly because of one employee and unfortunately I do not know his name. I called and made and appointment for 5pm because I knew they would be busy with an upcoming holiday weekend. I have 2 small children and I have family meet me to walk around Meijer while I get my nails done, so if I know it is going to be lengthy I try to make an appointment to not inconvenience them . I walked in and they were packed. Which I understand. Everyone that was seated was seen before me (I do not know if they had appointments or not). At 6pm another customer walked in (I had been here and hour at this point with an appointment made for 5 pm) and she was seen before me. I then asked how much longer it was going to be because it was now an hour after my appointment was made.... they said 15 minutes. The male employee who I spoke to when I made my appointment was working on someone and made a face when I said I made an appointment for 5pm he picked up the appointment book looked at it then laid it down quickly without another word. I don't know whether he wrote it down wrong or just forgot that I had an appointment. Either way there was absolutely no accountability for either the miscommunication or the mistake in missing that I had an appointment, I was not seen until 630pm when I had an appointment at 5pm. I would not even be sharing this had he had any accountability or made any effort to smooth things over and explain if it was written down for another time, but he did not say a word to me only made the face prior to picking up the appointment book. I was happy with the female nail tech that did my nails and the quality as I usually am here. My sole complaint is with the customer service of the male that took the call after I have been a customer here for 4 years. I would have been annoyed but understood if he even made a slight attempt. They treated my 94 year old mother horribly. The woman tried to take of her shoes and socks BEFORE she was even seated. I stepped in and made sure she was seated before the second shoe or sock was removed. After the woman was finished she left her for another customer with no shoes on. My mom is 94, partially blind and uses a walker! I can not properly voice my disgust at the way she was treated. We will never return to Kayla Nails in Meijer grocery on route 28 in Milford Ohio. Shame on anyone who treats an elderly person the way my Mom was treated. Shame on Kayla Nails! read more
