The nail tech was not super talkative to me, but I came straight from work and personally enjoy a quiet nail session where I can just relax. She also showed me a few different variations of the dip color I picked which I thought was super helpful (like painted it on a fake nail, light cured and everything.) I walked in Elegant at 10:40am on a Tuesday and was seen before 11am. I got an acrylic full-set with regular polish. The good: I loved that I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving. They had a HUGE selection of polish colors. The whole process took about an hour including sitting under the dryer and waiting, which is great! I think overall he did a good job and my nails don't have any obvious mistake. The not so good: I was not greeted when I came in at all. I had to find my way to the sign-in sheet and just sit. There wasn't many pleasantries--no conversation or small talk. They chatted a lot and were super friendly with the "regulars" but even when I tried to chat it wasn't well received. The worst part was that he was pretty rough with my hands and fingers. I guess he was trying to go quickly but it was even painful at times. I understand that some maneuverability is required but in all my years getting manicures I've never experienced anything like this. It was a lot of twisting my joints to get fingernails and better angles and weird wrist twisting to get to my thumbs. i have hypermobilty in my joints and even I felt discomfort. Another reviewer mentioned the roughness as well so maybe this is just something when they're in a rush. The bad didn't totally outweigh the good so I'll likely return for my fill-in unless I find something better. It's possible it was just a bad day, especially considering the other positive reviews and his clean and nice work.

The next day his big toe was infected (red & crusty). The redness spread to his legs the following day. I called to tell the owner and after speaking with him and also sending photos I was told well that's a blister (it most definitely is not). He asked what I wanted him to do about it, typically when a business has done something negative to a customer they will offer X% off their next service or financial reimbursement. The owner was not interested in that. Take this as a warning that although this salon's prices are lower than others you will also be exposing yourself to the possibility of an infection.
