3 bad pedis. The first two were done by a male and the polish was bumpy each time. The last one was the worst. Had a woman and she cut me three times, even after I told her to be more gentle. I had acrylic nails put on my big toes for the one nail was cracked. Now that my gel is growing out, I can see my nail is black on each big toe! FUNGUS. So nasty. I would never recommend this place. Absolutely the worst! I'm so mad, my nails are basically ruined for the whole summer while this grows out. EDIT 7/5/23 FOUND A THIRD FUNGUS SPOT! All were deep in the cuticle. I'm really disappointed in my experience at this salon. I literally got my nails done 3 hours ago and the gel is already peeling off. I called in advance and they said I could come in 15 minutes which was great. I got there and the entire process felt rushed. I showed a picture of what I wanted (almond) and I got round. She barely spent any time shaping my nails and when putting my hand in the gel lamp she would get angry at me if I didn't pull them out when she told me to even though it hadn't been the full time. She was so rough with me and even pulled my arms across the table a few times. I tried to make conversation and she brushed off whatever I said. This was possibly the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon. I went in to have gel removed and a traditional polish applied. The man who I started with was extremely rude and halfway through he just walked away and started helping someone else. Then eventually a woman had me move to a different station, she was only slightly less rude but at least she finished the job. They used a very coarse grit nail file and they used it very aggressively leaving deep gouges in my actual nail. As it has grown out I've had to trim my nails back, with 4 being trimmed to the quick because they are so frail after this handling by Nailtique. I highly recommend you find somewhere else to get your nails done. read more

Again, had another great experience here. The gel polish is around 37 dollars and they do a great job. They get all the way down to the bottom of the nail bed so you can get the longest last out of your manicure. The technicians take their time and are very kind. I just got a manicure with SNS dip powder and it was the nicest my nails have ever looked! My technician was Anna and she was incredibly detail oriented. She filed and shaped and formed each nail to perfection. When there was even the tiniest blemish she worked to correct it. And she trimmed the edges of each nail after all done to remove that little crust that has formed on the edge of all my former SNS manicures at other salons. This is the 3rd salon I've gone to in Cincinnati for SNS and it is BY FAR the best experience. I called at 315 on a Friday for a 330 appointment. I was seen right away and the manicure plus SNS took just over 1 hr. I will definitely be back and will be asking for Anna! read more

I hated every bit of it, both nail techs that handled me were very aggressive. The woman that did my nails was terrible and wouldn't listen to me on what I wanted, she did what she wanted to do with my nails but only after making me wait 30 minute for the disgust on my toes and nails. This is by far the worst rated nail salon i've come across. I did not get what I paid for and even got cut 6 times with the drill she was using. When filing long nails she did not care that I was in pain nor did she care about constant going over the bleeding spots she had already cut. Thanks to Yelp, I found this last minute gem! I called at 4:30 to check on prices ($17 mani, $34 shellac, $34 full set) and made an appointment for 7 that night. I don't go to Mt. Lookout often, mostly because I either forget or I don't care for the traffic. The area was very busy, Thursday evening around 7. I would recommend allowing yourself 5-10mins to find parking and deal with traffic if you make an appointment. However, when I finally found parking and made it inside, I was a happy customer. I usually go with a full set but this time I changed it up. The lady at the counter talked me into the shellac manicure rather than a regular mani, I'm glad I went with it. There's a nice selection of polishes and gels. I picked a cute light pink/silver combo. The tech was very nice and did a great job with my nails. They ended up even and very pretty. It's been a full day (with a toddler) and no chips or breaks. The shellac is supposed to last two weeks, I hope it does! It is very fresh and clean inside, the smell of coffee from Lookout Joe next door is quite nice! I will be back! read more

Called to make an appointment and they are very good about giving you an estimate time to come in so that you can avoid waiting. Went to get my nail done for engagement photos. At first the guy working on my nails made the white tips too thick but when I asked if he could thin them out, he wasn't annoyed and happily redid the shape. I was really appreciative that he was willing to fix it without any hassle. The details are what makes this place stand out: to avoid a parking meter ticket they'll help you put coins in during your mani/pedi. Theyll help you grab your credit card or hand you your keys so that picking them up doesn't scratch the nails. Too awesome. Manicure was $17 and french tips were an extra $5. Place is clean, the tools they use are sterilized and packaged sealed (only opened in front of customer before use) Totally worth it! read more

It pains me to give this neighborhood place such a low rating. I have gone here about 8 times for a dip manicure. The last time I went to get a service done the woman was in such a hurry that she cut me twice, drawing blood each time. She was answering the phone while also taking a personal call. She was clearly distracted and having a personal situation. Upon payment, I asked if would consider discounting the service given the fact that she cut me. She scoffed at me and was highly offended. She then said "I wouldn't have cut you if you didn't have such weak nails." Lol. What?! Well I guess now I know I have weak nails. So $70 later, I left with 2 cuts (one that is now getting infected) and in search of a new nail place. read more

I could not be more upset with my experience. I brought my daughter with me for a girls day, which seemed to be an annoyance to them. They had me sit in a low pedicure stool while they painted my daughters nails, then tried to sit her near the door while painting my nails. I voiced I wasn't comfortable with this and was told she'd be fine, and they were combative about my wanting my child near me. They could not let her have a fan for her nails while not sitting apart from me and could not wait to paint my nails for hers to dry, so her normal polish nails were a total waste of money upon exit. My nails are filled with bubbles, they left gel polish on my skin, and there are fuzzes in the nails. What was supposed to be a relaxing girls day ended up being really an unpleasant experience all around. read more

awful experience.... I was met with attitude from the second I walked in. After selecting my polish, my tech began asking me to buy gel instead and got increasingly agitated that I didn't want to spend the extra money on it. By the time I sat down and told her I wanted long acrylics with a green french tip she was visibly annoyed with me. After putting on my tips and starting the acrylic, she stopped doing my nails and attended to another customers feet then neglecting to wash her hands before finishing my set. She threw my hands when she was done with one and wanted the other, she charged me $20 extra for the length, and complained (in english) that I didn't want gel. Throughout the process I kept stopping her to show her/ explain how I wanted my nails to look, including showing her a picture. When asked she said "that's all i can do for you"after barley filing them. Long story short, the set turned out atrocious. Poorly done, rushed, crooked, and just ugly.... I attached photos of what I asked for and what I got. I used to come here quite often for pedicures, but I found a new place and never looked back. Since moving nearby, I thought I would revisit Nailtique on an early Saturday morning. I got there right when they opened so I was able to get a chair right away. They have very limited color choices. Now that SNS is popular it seems like salons forget about regular ol nail polish for pedicures. My girl wasn't very friendly but she did a good job on my toes. I think I will still make the drive to my usual place but it's nice to have a salon nearby for those last minute needs. read more

I love Nailtique! I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure. They have a good selection of colors, and I love their massage chairs! The pedicure was great, they have upgrade options for their pedis, which are good. I upgraded to a sugar scrub, which felt nice. Good for walk-ins and book ahead appointments! They do not have anyone sitting at the front counter so walk ins can be kind of awkward, but definitely worth it. I will absolutely go back!! Great experience. read more

Went here for my birthday mani / pedi with my wife. My tech was friendly, but generally distracted by the fact that she was answering the phone while working with me. She did give me a great pedicure to start followed by a nice manicure. My wife, on the other hand, had a very unfriendly technician who was annoyed by the fact that she did not want gel nail polish, and rushed through her nails. After my wife complained to the owner about two very messed up nails, he took her over to a nail station himself and redid three of her nails. He was super friendly and I thought the extra attention was great. But we won't be back - I don't want to risk getting an openly hostile nail tech. read more

OVERALL: 3.5 stars Regular manicure $15, +$5 for french tip I found myself quite desperate for a manicure on a Sunday, but apparently no one does manicures on Sundays. WHERE AM I?! Sometimes, I actually forget that I'm in the Mid-West but then, times like these immediately reminds me that I am no longer in the land of sunshine and rainbows and EVERYTHING is CLOSED. Luckily, for me and everyone else who needs a little pampering and/or self-maintenance on Sunday, Nailtique is open. I walked into the shop at 2pm without an appointment and there was no wait. The manicure itself was pretty flawless (i.e. no bubbles or anything funky in my nails...which happens more than you think). The only reason why I took off 1.5 stars is because they accidentally cut my finger while buffing my nail so everything from then on stung like a beee...AND the hand massage was also weak. But hey, you win some, you lose some, right? After the manicure, they also ask you to wash your hands, which I've never been asked to do before, but maybe that's just a quirk of theirs. As always, remember to bring CASH. They don't take AmEx AND they charge and extra dollar if you use a credit card. Not worth it. read more

For all you Mt. Lookout residents, Nailtique is conveniently located right in Mt. Lookout Square (next to Lookout Joe--which is legit because you can get coffee before getting your nails done!). If I had to summarize my experience in just one sentence, it would be something like "I've had better pedicures in my life." For the same cost of 30 dollars, I have had much better service and treatment of my nails at locations such as Blue Ash Nails which may be worth the drive next time. As most nail salons go, they had the standard selection of colors. There were a lot of fun options. However, here is the deal--I went with my mom and my sister and the place was dead and their 3 employees started taking care of us right away. They were not overly friendly but not rude either. About 5 minutes later, two women with an appointment come in and the owner says to them "just a second." These people must have sat and waited 20 minutes past the time of their reservation because eventually they just stormed out. I was really bothered by this because it shows the owner and employees have no respect for honoring reservations or respecting their customers. PRO TIP- they clearly treat reservations as meaningless so just don't make one. Budget about an hour and just walk in. As far as the actual pedicure goes, I have very small toenails and they did not handle them well. She barely got color on some of them and overall I just wasn't impressed for the 30 dollar price tag. They also didn't scrape the dead skin off my feet which I thought was a standard part of a pedicure. I'll likely return at some point due to the fact this place is a convenient walk from my house but I'll consider driving elsewhere for better quality and service. read more

I got pedicures with my friends and they quickly found us seats together. There was hand sanitizer available and clear dividers between us and the employees the entire time. We felt safe and comfortable talking with each employee and had a great time. They have free parking behind the building next door (The Redmoor) too! The guy that did my nails must have been a perfectionist because they looked flawless and... over a week later now they still look flawless. Great location (right in mt lookout - next to the coffee shop) The only downside to this place is the lack of staff. There were maybe 4 or 5 people working and they were bouncing between customers. This made the process take a lot longer than it should have so I didn't get a pedicure like I wanted. I've been to Nailtique for a manicure and pedicure twice so far and both times I have had a great experience. I went on a Saturday afternoon and had to wait about 10 minutes for my service to begin. During this time, the staff kindly set up a pedicure chair with warm water for me to soak my feet while I waited. The pedicure was extremely relaxing and the male who took care of me was really great. For their signature pedicure they exfoliate, massage, and put amazing hot towels on your legs. While I was getting my pedicure, the crowd began to die down and a manicurist began to work on my hands while I was still getting my toes done. They were very efficient and my nails were painted perfectly. The mani/pedi combo cost me $50 all together. I found this to be a little bit cheaper than other places in Cincinnati. I also filled out my information on a loyalty card: 10 visits over $20 gets you $10 off your next service. I will definitely be going back to Nailtique for the rest of my manicures and pedicures. read more

They take appointments and walk-ins. I love the foot and hand massages during pedicure and manicure. They are very pleasant and work awfully hard. During early COVID the owner/operators, who had extra paper products due to lack of clients, gave these to people who couldn't find them in the stores. Mom-and-Pop operation. This is the only place I'll ever go to get my nails done. I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want other people to find it- I want to keep it all to myself! I got my shellac about a week ago and it's still gorgeous. I'm writing this as I'm getting a deluxe pedicure (splurging a tad because I've had a rough week and the massages/seaweed mask are amazing!) Hours are great too. One time I got there late & my manicure accidentally went past close and I felt super guilty. The owner was so so nice about it. M-F are 10-8, Sat 9:30-7, Sun 12-5. I originally found this place because it was the only one open on Sunday that was near me. They do take appointments, but it's more so that they know to expect you and plan accordingly. Once or twice, I've had to wait a little even if I made an appointment, but never that long. Most of the time it's just walk-ins and that's always worked for me. Parking is metered and I park in front of the store. There's a 30 min limit but if you use the passport parking app you can add some time to the meter. I started coming here for shellac manicures when I moved to the neighborhood and I was incredibly impressed. The total, with tax (and removal of old shellac if necessary) is $34.08, which is pretty competitive. I did go in for a shellac manicure on my lunch break on two occasions, however it took longer than expected and I don't think I'll be doing that again. The small amount of extra time they put into these manicures has them lasting longer than any other shellac manicure that I've gotten. Also, the staff is very nice and it's usually not too long of a wait (if at all) for walk-ins. Don't forget: They offer the equivalent of a frequent buyer card. You do have to ask for one, though; they're not just offered up. After 10 visits of $20 or more, you receive a $10 gift card. Definitely worth it so don't forget to ask! read more

I used to go to Nailtique all the time, until a couple other nail salons opened up closer to my house. But, I decided to revisit my old stomping grounds recently, and had an interesting experience. My friend and I went for our first mani pedis of the season ($62 for shellac/gel mani and regular pedi), and were really happy with the result! They were very accommodating in taking our reservation on a Monday evening, and everything was fine and dandy until two days later when... Both of our shellac manicures began chipping! If you know anything about shellac/gel manicures, you know it should last a MINIMUM of two WEEKS, not two days. I was so frustrated and annoyed, and after some hesitation, I decided to go back to the salon to request a fix. And I'm glad I did! They were very understanding and cooperative -- probably mostly due to the fact they had already received a handful of recent complaints as well. The perpetrator? A new base coat, which did anything but its job. I would hate for a recent customer to not go back because of this fluke. Rest assured that they are NOT using this waste-of-a base coat anymore, and I feel confident that my newly polished nails will last the minimum two weeks this time. Kudos to Nailtique for turning a nightmare into a positive customer experience! I won't think twice about going back for my next mani pedi. read more

Very friendly nail salon and very clean! The staff here is great and they definitely take their time on you (which is a good thing!) but don't go if you are in a big hurry. Pedicure always includes a leg massage, hot towel and sugar scrub at no extra charge. My shellac manicure always lasts 3 weeks so I don't go anywhere else! read more
