Great place to stop and get a pedicure last minute. The polish options are vast and the guys and gals doing the work on your feet are polite and fun. They will leave you alone if you want to just relax and veg out, or they seemed happy to chat as well! On street parking was close and easy when I went after 6. Great nail salon! Very clean, and there is generally a pretty short wait if you walk-in. The staff are all very friendly, and it the salon doesn't have that overpowering nail polish smell that others do. Make sure you do the special! $40 for mani pedi. Was looking for a relatively fast and cheap pedicure in the area (enough sub-par experiences from Ambiance Nails to find an alternative) and tried Nailtique for the first time recently. I walked in on a Friday afternoon and was able to get a pedicure started right away. They carry OPI polish (small annoyance--many of the color name stickers are missing from the bottom). The fairly standard massage chair was comfortable and easy to adjust. They even thoughtfully added a hook on the side of the chair for your purse. The nail tech was quiet, efficient, and responsive to my requests. She did a great job and my nails look really nice (on par with high-end spas). Pedicures cost $30 (before tax & tip). I've been coming to Nailtique for over 6 yrs and every time I come I have the best service. Even if I haven't been in a couple months they remember my name and are so personable. The massage chairs are the best in the city. They never rush you through the pedicure or manicure like ambiance or other big name places. They accommodate groups of people as well. They give the best leg massages with the pedicure and the polish for shellac mani and pedi last longer than anywhere else I've been. I would leave no stars if I could. I have thick, shapely brows naturally. I went in for an eyebrow wax while my friend got a fill in. The woman who did my wax did such a botched job. Before she started I told her I like them thick and I just want a clean up. She started waxing while I was talking. She started with the middle between my brows and when she pulled the strip I heard her suck in a breath like she knew she f'ed up. I am mortified. She then went to work on my friend's nails and I told her I wasn't happy with the wax, I was visibly upset. You can see the lighter skin under the little bit of hair she left, that she took a lot off, left me with no tail ends, and one is way higher than the other and they are two different "shapes" and she completely took my arch away(I posted a pic in the photos section). Despite this she told me they were fine and that she kept them thick for me and that my eyebrows are uneven...um no they were not, but I told her yes I realize brows are sisters, not twins but this is just way off. I even showed her a pic of how my brows are and how I like them. She said I should have showed her, but SHE DIDNT GIVE ME A CHANCE! She continued to try to debate with me about how my brows weren't ruined. In the end, she did not charge me not that I planned to pay anyway, but not once did she say "I'm sorry" or anything along the lines. An apology goes a long way in my opinion. I will not be returning. Be warned: do not trust them to wax you unless you want the next couple months to be suspended in limbo while you await the regrowth of your precious hairs. read more

I was looking for a quick (appointment not necessarily needed) nail place in Oakley, Hyde Park, or Mt. Lookout as I've had some bad experiences at Ambiance recently. I went to Nailtique after reading the other Yelp reviews. I agree with the other reviews...It's clean, affordable ($40 for a mani/pedi), and the staff is friendly. I was happy with the mani/pedi, and I felt the nail tech took ample time to do it correctly. The only minor annoyance was that the nail tech kept looking over his right shoulder to watch some lame, daytime tv court show while he was doing my pedicure. But, the end result was a good pedicure, so again, only a minor annoyance. read more

What a ripoff! I saw the decent reviews and thought I'd try this place while visiting Cincinnati. It was an expensive mistake. I selected the $50 mani/pedi from the menu. I picked an OPI color and asked the nail tech if there was a matching gel color. She said yes. During the pedi, I asked her not to cut the side of my big toe nail but she did anyhow, and when I said again "please don't do that" she said "oh sorry" as though she knew better. Pedi was fine otherwise, minus that she only used the pumice on one foot. When it came time for the mani, she pulled the wrong color from the shelf. I said, "oh no, the one on my toes I wanted to match is called 'How Great is Your Dane'". She tried to show me the color (with another name) and after some more back and forth, the other nail tech found the correct color for her and put it on her table. She opened the WRONG color again and showed it to me for the 19th time, saying "same!". No, not "same"!!!! I'm as stubborn as they come but this was next level stuff. She then begrudgingly finished my "manicure," if you can call it that. She barely filed my nails and didn't touch my cuticles. So basically she painted my nails. The bill for my $50 BS mani/pedi: $73!!! "Tax" she told me. It turns out that gel is an add-on but they don't bother including that on the menu. I am certain you can get a much better mani/pedi, service, and price elsewhere. read more

I desperately needed to find a new nail salon that was close by, so I decided to try this one out in Mt. Lookout. It looks pretty standard inside, very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly. My nails look great, and unlike other places that I've been to in the area, the shellac shows no signs of peeling or lifting. It was a little pricier than other places, but not exorbitantly so. I was a little peeved with parking/lack thereof, but again, it's Mt. Lookout, I should have expected it. I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

They have tons of polish colors to choose from and my manicures from here last a reeeeally long time. I can have a shellac manicure easily go behind 2 weeks and last me 3 weeks. Nailtique is my go-to nail place. I'm here every 2 weeks and I love them! So friendly and they do a good job on my shellac. There has been some recent turnover but the new staff is just as nice as the old staff (though I do miss my old nail tech). I generally call ahead since I'm always upset when I just walk in and there's a 30-min wait. I do wish they had more shellac colors (similar to other places in the HP area) and sometimes the service feels excessively slow, but I'd recommend Nailtique for shellac manis over anywhere else in the Cincinnati area. read more

I got a pedicure here, but I wouldn't go back. I went it on a Sunday afternoon and didn't have to wait. The polish selection was good, and the staff was friendly. But $30, before tax and tip, for a standard pedicure was way overpriced for what I got. My feet were dry afterwords, and there were smudges of polish on my skin that I had to take off with remover once I got home. Wow, I cannot recommend this place enough! I came in on Memorial Day desperate for a manicure before I started my internship. They technically closed at 5 that day but when I called at 5:15 they said I could still come in, no problem. I expected they would maybe rush through my manicure (understandably) but no - I've never had anyone take as much time as my technician did. I think her name was Lucy, but I wish I had asked to confirm. My nails have never looked better and my technician was so friendly and helpful. As I was sitting under the dryer as they were getting to close - my manicurist was walking out the door and I nicked one of my nails - he turned around and came back in to fix it and when we tried to give him an additional tip he wouldn't take it. I really have no complaints about this nail salon located in Mt. Lookout. It is easy to find with a huge sign right off of the square. There is ample waiting room and plenty of magazines to read while waiting. There were at least 7 nail technicians working so all of my group could get their manicures and pedicures done at the same time. They even sat us all beside eachother so we could gossip! I go to Nailtique about once a month for a mani/pedi. I usually have a good experience. I went today and my manicure looks terrible. My nails looked better before I went in. The man that gave me the mani cut my nails so short after I just asked for a trim. They look like I bit them all off and you can see the skin under the nail. My roommate and I have lived around the corner for over a year and have been in pretty consistently every 3 weeks. The staff is very friendly and knows us by name, preferred services and colors. If we don't come in together they always ask about the welfare of the missing roommate. They are also very accommodating, I often call last minute for an appointment, sometimes even the morning I'd like to come in. They are reasonably priced (about the same as Oakley Nails and cheaper than Ambiance), and the quality is much better. I would highly recommend this salon. I was a regular here and I have noticed that the quality had gone downhill. I saw a few new faces last time I was there, I think they are just trainees. One of the new faces did my manicure and it was mess. Cuticle was still a mess, the paint job was horrible. I was, and still am very disappointed. Not going back, this was not the first time I had a bad experience there.I got a parking ticket a few months ago while getting my pedicure. The salon has no parking space so you have to park on the street and hope you don't forget to run out and feed the meter. For sure never going back there.
