By far my favorite nail place in Cincy/NKY. Always beyond satisfied with their quality and the prices are unbeatable. They take their time, yet are very efficient. Sometimes wait times are long, but always worth it. It's also notable that my polish (gel, normal, and SNS) always lasts the longest when I get it done at X-Nails. ...although I've been going here for years, I finally decided to write something because today's experience was unparalleled - the customer service that Allen (sp?) provided was like nothing I've experienced before and I wanted to thank him for being so great. read more

Horrible customer service Tech was argumentative and wouldn't listen Placed blame on dip company and me The color of powder Was not close to the color I picked from the nailbook. When I mentioned this , he insisted that the nailbook doesn't always match the color of powder. I asked , what is the point of picking a color then. He told me I need to call the company and ask them that that x nails only buys the product.. When I asked to see the book again to change Colors. He insisted that the color would get darker.. I wanted a color in the red family. The powder that was brought out was in the coral family. I didn't want a darker coral. that he insisted it would get darker and would not bring the book When finishing and using the tool to file the nail near the cuticle.I watched as my Cuticle was lifted. I asked that the cuticle be cleaned up since the tool messed up my cuticle , he insisted that it was already messed up when I came in. Then he wanted to charge me for trimming my cuticle i was not willing to pay for this. And state it as such, he got angry, got up to get the cuticle fix, I guess by this time I was pretty much done I asked how much it was I gave him the money as I was leaving, he called me rude and continue to berate me saying, good luck at other salons, I told him I would not be back and that he would see my review on yelp read more

The gentleman that took care of my nails didn't speak much but when asked about 3D he opened up and explained the reasons why they don't offer that service. For years I loved this place and was a regular, but DO NOT GO HERE! Three strikes, and I'm done! Period! The first strike was during a solo visit to get my nails done, and they turned out lumpy, thick, and hooked. It looked like I had bananas on my hands because of the rush job that was done after screaming at me for writing down my normal techs non-american name, but birth name from venmo(I would tip him directly) Service was never the same after that day, and should of been a sign to discontinue patronage of the establishment. The second strike months later I called 2 weeks in advanced and asked if they could accommodate a SMALL wedding party of 5 people ( bride, 3 brides maids, and myself the wedding DJ) despite not taking appointments, and they said yes! I even called back a few days before the selected date to make sure it was still ok, and they said yes! The day of we got there and they acted like they never spoken with me, had no idea what I was talking about and wouldn't be able to get us in for hours, forcing us to go some place else that I wouldn't even send an enemy too(glitzy nails crescent springs). The bride was in tears as we now had to rush to get everything done before the wedding rehearsal, we were late, and her nails looked like trash. The third and final strike was going for someone's birthday before dinner, and the entire staff was incredibly rude. After waiting an hour to be called back and watching many people come in and get seated before us we ended up only getting our pedicures completed in a rush and then told we would have to COME BACK THE NEXT DAY for our acrylic sets because they were too busy to finish our appointment but kept taking customers the entier time we waited to even get our pedicures started and during our pedicures. Insult to injury we were overcharged! 60 dollars each to have polish all over our skin for a rushed job and denied service that ended with me getting a fungal infection in my right big toe, and my nail has never grown back the same. I never returned and stopped recommending this place to anyone and everyone. Hopefully, Google is correct, and this place is permanently closed. read more

I was ready to give X-Nails 1 star. My sister and I went in for a pedicure/manicure and called ahead. They said it would be a 10 min wait. It actually ended up being an hour and a half wait. I don't mind waiting, just would have liked some transparency so I could have ran some errands in the meantime. However, once we were seen I was very satisfied with their service! My sister said they took time on her pedicure and did a good job. I ended up getting SNS, and the price including SNS, 2 tips, and a design was very reasonable. Overall I would return and give it another shot-but definitely don't go here if you're in a rush. If I could give a half star, this review would be a 3.5. read more

But this i came back i had shellac the guy just filed nails down didn't work on sanding or cuticles he just put two coats on very quick and they peeled the next day, for 25 i am very upset all nails have chipped and split. The pedicure was good- could I have done the same quality job myself? Yes. I had let my heals get away from me and just wanted the convenience of someone else fixing them up, so I got what I wanted out of that. This is where they're getting 2 stars from me. The manicure was terrible- I asked for acrylics since I have lost all of my natural nail length to sanding a few wood projects and needed to get through a few engagements that I wanted to look a little more put together than normal for. *I told her "the skin around my nails is weak and brittle since I work with my hands a lot so I do not want the drill used." She refuses even though I tell her I'm only planning on wearing these for a week. -red flag. *She would not cut the tips shorter- told me my nails would look "fat and chunky any shorter". -should've walked out then this is foreshadowing. *Would not thin them down after she made them way uneven and sloppy thick. -Obviously I'm just plain stupid at this point. *Argues with me about my shape choice: She made them straight tip with a damn near 90 degree corner square. I told her more rounded at least twice before she gets upset with me because I clearly wanted round and not square. I had asked for squoval from the start. Should've looked like a soft oval tip, rounded square on the corners: never met a nail tech that doesn't know this term. -Hating myself more by the passing seconds. *While she was dusting/cleaning up my hands and applying polish my finger tips/cuticles begin to burn. -I ignored this as I just want out of this reality. *Washing my hands at the sink I find 5 slow bleeding nicks to 3 of my fingers. -I'm livid. *At checkout I hand her my card and her immediate response was "cash tip is better for us" I was like "nah, I'm giving a credit tip." So I left 10% of the total of both services to the gentleman who did my feet and toenails. The woman who gave me a hard time while denying me what I was asking for and sending me out the door with a manicure that looked like chiclets glued to my nails? No. You're lucky I even paid for the service. If you want cash tips only: post a sign. It's pretty unsettling to even assume you're getting a tip at all if you won't even attempt to deliver on a customer's requests. At least work will be humorous typing in these. read more

I was really excited to go to this place. I just moved around the neighborhood and it's kinda one of the only nail salons around. I was recommended to them by a local bar tender who said they were the best. The experience I had at the salon was nice but I was very crowded in the salon and I was sat directly next to two people, which with Covid is not ideal but I understand they were busy. The technician was really nice and did the exact design I wanted so i left happy. Unfortunately less then a week later the top part of my nail design peeled off which I have never had happen. I am really disappointed that this didn't even last a week. The SNS is not great here either it looks like my nail is pointing up. The secret on this place is definitely out. If you're looking for a reliable and quick manicure and/or pedicure, this is your place. It's fast, affordable and the work is high quality. My nail tech was friendly and very detail-oriented on my SNS application. $45 for a manicure and SNS is relatively unheard of, at least to me. The place fills up fast and while you might have to wait your turn, the actual process is incredibly speedy and more than makes up for it. This isn't your girl's day out spa experience, but I'd be willing to bet it's the best bang for your buck in the Cincinnati area. read more

I'm sad to write this review because this has been my exclusive nail place for years. My last pedicure was in October and now it's March and I'm now on antibiotics for a nail fungus. A few days after my pedicure I woke up to a throbbing foot and when I removed the polish my nail bed was discolored and painful. I tried all over the counter creams and ointments but have had to go to a professional to clear this up. I'm now on a 90 day course of meds. Please make sure all tools and foot tubs are sanitized better. I wish this infection on no one! read more

The technician was very rude and actually ended up cutting my skin. I wanted a full manicure and the technician sanded away my cuticles without soaking them or trimming them. Love this place. I go to Kim and have gone back several times. It is not the fastest when waiting because the secret has gotten out for sure! $35 for a great SNS manicure is unheard of. The actual service is quick and the techs do a great job. Pay and tip cash if you can, they're switching to a fee with tip if you pay with credit card in July 2019. I see some reviews that don't have entirely nice things to say and I don't know where those people's expectations are. All previous reviews are true: not a place to go if you are looking to relax and pamper yourself, but if you just need to get your nails done this place will do the job. I actually had to make 2 trips here: came on a Monday, waited as long as I could and left. Went back the next day and had to wait 30 minutes. This place gets packed and I can see why: they do a good job and the price is great. I'm not mad at the business model. It's definitely one of those in and out nail shops so just be sure to adjust your expectations accordingly. The lady I had was nice, somewhat conversational and did a good job on my nails. She made sure I was pleased with the shape before moving forward and was patient as she helped me choose between 4 different nail colors...because I mean come on it's a big decision! Stopped in this past Friday around noon. The place was very busy. We had about a 45 min wait (when the staff mentioned roughly a 20 min wait when we arrived). I got a full set with gel and it took 30 mins. I've never had my nails done so fast in my life. The man doing my nails started me while finishing up someone else, kinda weird? I felt like he was super rushed and just trying to do it as fast as he could. The nails are super thick; I prefer them to be thinner looking, more natural and not as fake. HORRIBLE customer service. My clear coat on my dip powder manicure was splotchy from sloppy/rushed application (from a very rude male nail tech) and my toe was smudged which was my fault even though it didn't happen until 3 hours after I left the salon. When I was done with my appointment yesterday, I had another appointment to get home for so I didn't have time take have the man who did my manicure fix it on the spot. During my manicure yesterday, my nail tech was very surly and unnecessarily rough. One of my cuticles is bleeding from how rough he was. When I sat down I asked for my nails to be oval shaped and when I pointed out that they were squared (and crooked no less) it because very evident that he was annoyed with me and argued with me about what I asked for. Anyway, when I came back the today and asked for my clear coat to be redone and my toe repainted, the lady at the front desk shouted at me to sit in the waiting area. I was told to sit down in another chair to have a woman fix my clear coat. I pointed out a dark spot (difficult to see in photos) in the middle of my thumb of my white shimmer manicure and she said it was because my are dirty underneath and yellow because I have natural nails and refused to touch it up. As you can see from the photos, my nails are not dirty nor yellow underneath. Once my nails were "fixed" (they are still splotchy because once again. I was then told to go find the color used on my toes and right as I went to sit back down in the waiting area, another nail tech shouted at me to go sit down on the pedicure chairs. Once my pedicure was fixed, the male tech who did my manicure yesterday told the woman to tell me to leave. My toes weren't even dry yet and I was TOLD to leave. I have never been made to feel this way at a nail salon. It was unbelievable that people would shout at customers and treat them like this when they are the ones that did a poor job. read more
