I was given a gift certificate to here by a friend and looked at these reviews before going. I was honestly scared to go because the reviews were so bad! I did have to wait as a walk-in for about 15-20 minutes which was fine and was matched with Stacy. The gel mani turned out pretty good, I just didn't like that she filed it with a Dremel after the final cure which I'm not a fan of. The mani area was also dirty with nail dust and clippings- they need to wipe it down between guests. The pedicure was good, the only complaint there was the massage chair is not that great. For $85 I felt it was on par with other salons and honestly was surprised by how well it went compared to the reviews. EDIT- updating to add that the gel nails were chipped after 3 days. This is the pedicure they charged me full price for. No, I didn't request no polish. No this was not a completed service. I requested gel polish, and when it was done it looked like a 3 year old did it. Gloopy, sloppy, on my cuticle. I asked if they could touch it up. He started taking it off all together. I was in the salon for over two hours and told them I had another appointment and couldn't wait to redo toes because of the timing. Still charged me full price and I'm so upset with the service. I wanted my acrylics taken off and a manicure and pedicure. They acted like they were pissed because after seeing the process of getting acrylics off it's very long. One of the guys drilled the polish off while I was sitting at the pedicure chair and nail dust went everywhere, didn't bother to cover me with a towel or help with dusting off. Then I sat there forever soaking my nails and feet in the water. Finally the lady in charge Im assuming in charge took over and acted like she was annoyed by having to drill the acrylics off and when she did my pedicure she seemed annoyed as well. I received no manicure, just drilled away the acrylic and cut my nails. They are flaky and dry. She barely put oil on my nails to help and told me to wash them. read more

Unfortunately, this is the worst nail salon experience I've had. It started off with the guy cutting my cuticles until they bled and then the worst part was he repeatedly filed into my finger leaving a deep painful cut. On top of all of that, dipping powder was left all over my fingers looking absolutely hideous! It's such a shame because the guy was very nice and apologetic, but I am so disappointed that I paid 60 something dollars to walk out with these ugly nails and painful cuts. Terrible. Manicure and gel nails for my mom and Me. Both of us felt like our nail techs were rough with our fingers. My nails have clumps of polish. 2 nails have a piece of dust under the polish and my thumb nail has a smudge. clear screen between tech and myself was so dirty. Tools were not clean. He took them right out of his drawer then returned them when done doing my nails. Other salons use tools that are in a sanitized tool pack. Will not be back and wouldn't recommend. read more

Did not enjoy my experience. I was in town for a friend's wedding and thought Mani/pedis would be a good idea. She chose this location. And she was treated very well. I started with a deluxe pedicure. My friend arrived first and I was a little later. My feet only soaked a couple minutes before the lady got to work. I don't think they soaked long enough because when she started to work, it hurt pretty bad when she pulled the skin on the side of my big toe. The second foot wasn't as bad since it soaked a little longer. The rest of the pedicure was okay. The options and pricing weren't really explained between the basic and deluxe. But I think the extra included a scrub and the warm towels on the legs. They couldn't explain the nail polish options well. The color I wanted was in a shellac, but there was no help with finding a close color for my toes. But the nails did look good after The manicure was not enjoyable. I got a special cat's eye effect, but it didn't work that well. You can really only see it on my thumbs. When she was fine tuning my nails, she cut the side of my nail and I started bleeding. It hurt and she just said sorry and put some substance on it to stop. Then she offered $5 off. My bill was still $90 for the pedicure and shellac manicure. I never saw a price breakdown. I should have done it near home where the same can be done for less. The shellac has lasted about two weeks. The finger that was cut hurt for five days after and several days after it bubbled up with puss. Very disgusting! Definitely not a great experience for me. My friend did enjoy hers, but her technician probably had more experience. read more

Have had great experiences here for over a year now. I am very happy with my SNS and pedicures.

My mom and I went in for a pre-wedding mani and pedi. We had just walked in after seats were filled and we were totally OK with knowing it could be a while; that's just how walk ins work. Anyway, we waited an hour and finally got seated for our pedicures. It was easily the fastest, most poorly executed pedis either of us have had. I understand it was busy and everyone wants to get their walks ins seated, but for $60 for JUST the pedicure I could have gone to Ambiance and gotten a deluxe pedi with a glass of wine. The paint was all over my toes and my feet were as rough as they were when I walked in. It was so noticeable I couldn't pass it off and had to redo them myself. read more

The place was super average and everything was fine but I went to pay and my bill was $30 just for shellac -- literally no manicure or anything. I was like ummm??? They deleted my review off of google so I'll post it here too: I got my acrylics done last Thursday(11/4). Their color selection was limited, and I wasn't really happy with the color, but that can't really be helped. I woke up Saturday morning to my middle nail on my right hand completely ripped off at the tip. I went to get it fixed Tuesday. This morning the tip on my thumb ripped off while I was getting dressed. I didn't even notice at first. The nail tips are just so weak. I'm extremely disappointed considering I spent $65 on my nails, tipped the nail tech $15, and tipped the lady who fixed them $6 because she was so sweet. This is my first time going to Luxx and I will not be going back. Two nails broken in the first week having them is unacceptable. (I ended up taking the polish off the nails because I didn't like it, but they are the same set) Update: 11/16 The tip on my other thumb has snapped off as well. read more

I have never left a bad review in my life, but felt compelled to warn others about this place. Everything about it was horrible. No one to greet me, no one told me how long the wait would be. They took back at least 2-3 people that walked in after me. The place was extremely dirty. After 45 minutes someone started my nails. The woman was rude and barked orders at me. She rushed through my manicure, the entire thing maybe lasted 7 mins. My nails look awful. Not sure how this place even stays open. read more

I asked for French tip with dip powder. I didn't get the man's name that did my nails, but I found it strange how many times he got up while in the middle of my nails. He cut my fingers twice and they bled. It was $60 and I left a $12 dollar tip for nails that looked like this: bent. After two weeks, they are turning yellow and the top coat has started to peel off. Do not go here. I have been here a few times when my go-to bail salon has to long of a wait and I'm in a rush but this time was the last for me. I got my nails done less than 2 weeks ago and they all have already chipped off. I am not rough on my nails bor do any type of hard labor with my hands for this to occur. I had a great experience minus the color choice. I typically like a darker color but there regular nail polish is mostly red tones. Pedicure was very well done and cost $35.00 for the regular pedicure. Got a 5 minute leg massage from Anna on both legs which felt amazing. I will definitely be back but bring my dark nail polish next time. I did see a lot of different colored shellac and SnS options for those that get that type. read more

Okay normally I don't complain at all, but the level of service I received at this salon was absolutely terrible. I get into the chair and get told to put my feet in... no soap or salt in the water at all... then not even a minute later get told to take my feet out and the lady begins to apply the acrylic overlay on my toes that needed it. As the lady is buffering the acrylic, she's literally digging her nails into mine and can see that it's hurting me. Lady looks at me then that's it. Next my feet don't go back into the water nor do my toes receive any kind of care just a polish and and a hot towel and get told to go to the dryer. I'm currently looking at my feet and they look exactly the same as I came in. Will I recommend this place to a friend... definitely not. I stopped in as I was trying to take off poorly done SNS from another salon which was all chipped and looked very unprofessional. I had a ladies nail date Thursday with friends so just needed regular polish for a few days. I spent an hour trying to soak off at home to no avail. I got right in and they had it off in under 5 minutes. While he did that he interrogated me as to where I had them done, who did them, asked if I wanted gel three times and I continued to ask for a regular manicure (and explained why.) That's when he pulled out a box of what I suspected were unsanitized tools and in the middle of my manicure he stopped and clipped a few of his own cuticles with THE SAME TOOL!!!! I gasped and said wow but he ignored me and went back to work. I was short on time so I just sat there, washed my hands well, paid and left. I also witnessed two of the other ladies watching tv and a customer had to call out one by name to get her to wait on her. This nail tech then spent the entire time talking in a foreign language to the gentleman doing my nails. A regular manicure and take off was $23 Bottom line: unclean tools and poor customer relations. Stay away! read more

I have gone to Luxx a handful of times and have always had a pleasant experience until today. A few weeks ago, I came for an SNS manicure and it turned out great, so I went back to get it redone after it had grown out. The technician I had this time was not pleasant at all. When she sat down, she didn't even say hello and the first words she said to me the whole time was the price of my manicure at the end. If this was my only complaint, I would not be posting this review. I came in about 40 minutes before they were closing for the night, but usually SNS doesn't take very long. The lady seemed very frustrated from the start and everything felt very rushed. The whole process was very different from my previous experience here with the other technician. When she was buffing my nails, she got my skin more than once. I now have 3 nails that still have sores and may even be infected. I really don't like to complain about these kind of things, but I wanted to share with everyone the issues with this tech specifically. She is the only one at the salon who wears lots a makeup and is always done up if you can try to avoid her. Maybe if she would spend as much time on her clients as she did on her makeup, I wouldn't share this review. Giving them 2 stars because the other techs I have had really do a nice job. read more

The wouldn't give me the color i asked for and wouldn't match my feet or toes and would just say "it's close enough" so i just said do white because i wanted to leave so bad. **UPDATE 8/9/19** My experience was horrible tonight! I waited for awhile, which was fine. I saw all the other customers getting a wonderful experience during their pedicures. As soon as I sat down with my lady I knew it wasn't going to go as smoothly as the other customers. 1) I wasn't greeted or given a welcome like the other customers; 2) I had to continuously say NO to an upsale of a service I didn't want; 3) she was texting throughout the pedicure; 4) her man-friend (husband?) came and she began to cuddle with him; at the point I had had it and told her I was leaving. Then she said, "No, I'll do them right" and proceeded to give me an extremely aggressive leg massage. I gathered my purse and left the chair. While standing I asked who the manager was and go figure: it was my lady! So I went to the front desk just to make sure she wasn't lying and the sweet lady at the desk confirmed that my nail lady is indeed the manager. Once I got into the daylight I realized that there was still remnants of my old polish and my nails weren't even cut/filed even. So now I'm left with unpolished, uneven toe nails. All of this revolves around a grown woman texting while trying to give a pedicure. I am DONE with this place. Original review: I went here for the first time today and am very pleased with the service and my pedicure. The place is clean and nicely decorated. There wasn't a very wide range of color selections and I didn't see a price list for services eiAnna talked me through what she was doing and was friendly. I received the sugar rub pedicure for $40. There were two ladies in front of me but I was able to sit in the chair and got a rub in while I waited. However, the reason for 3 stars is because of their lack of consistency in serving customers. There were only three ladies working and the door was constantly opening with customers. By the time I left they were at an hour wait. Unfortunately I saw that some people were told to leave and come back while others were able to sit and soak. I'm not sure if there is a system to the chaos, but it didn't seem logical or fair. First of all, if you can't do something, or do not have time or the staff, say it upfront. I should not have to have one person do my nails, and wait for another tech to finish someone else's full set before my nails can be finished. Also, the sign says $50 for dip, then $5 discount for paying with cash. That does not mean it's $55 for paying with card. That means it's $45 for paying with cash. My nails are also uneven, and they only do two coats for the color dip. They are see through and the tech said they would not be. The top coat isn't even. You can see brush strokes. They aren't friendly at all. The staff cares more about their own conversations than to listen to what you want done to your nails. read more

I have never been so mad! I wanted my shellac soaked off and acrylic put on as a thin overlay over my natural nails. He came to the table with a bowl of acetone and asked me what I wanted I told the gentleman that the shellac was too thick, he said the acrylic is thicker. I asked if he could just put it on a little thinner, that I used to do nails and this works well for me. He then wanted to file the shellac off with a drill and I said id prefer it to be soaked off. He scoffed and moved me to another table, then started speaking a foreign language and proceeded to take a new customer I sat there for 30 minutes. No one spoke with me, I got up, washed my hands and walked out. what happened to being a customer and doing what they want. I have never been treated so rude or inconsiderate.
