I visited this nail salon for the first time on a busy Friday afternoon before Memorial Day weekend. The place was hopping and I was a bit afraid they wouldn't have time to squeeze me in for a mani/pedi for my birthday/bridal shower/bachelorette party weekend. Despite having no appointment they were able to fit me in within 10 minutes. The pedicure was really nice and thorough. They really work the gross dead callused skin off of your feet and do a great job of cuticle clean up. The foot and leg massage was great. During the actual nail painting, they wrap your lower legs in these steamy hot damp cloths. They feel almost too hot at first, but it was kind of pleasant. However when they cooled down, it felt really odd and cold. I wasn't a huge fan, but maybe others like that. The pedicure chairs also have built in mechanical chair massage capabilities. I definitely took advantage of that. For the manicure, I did a french manicure shellac look. The technician paid great attention to detail with the white tips and made sure they all looked symmetrical to my other hand. Very small salon with great staff. I always request Sunny to do my gel manicure. He is the best -- my polish stays on upwards of 3+ weeks! All the girls are friendly and do great work. Lots of colors to choose from. Never a long wait. I usually book appointments ahead of time and they are very accommodating to my schedule. This place is a little hidden gem. read more

Extremely peaceful with great music playing. Very little conversation and fast, friendly service. I didn't have to deal with being talked over and around in another language. This is my go-to nail salon - they do a great job and have amazing massage chairs for pedicures! I've had a bad experience once where I ended up with a toe infection after a pedicure in Cleveland. Therefore I'm extremely picky! Their place is always clean and the tools they use are in sealed packages, which they open before each pedicure. Also love the hot-towel wrap. And the price is quite reasonable for the hour-long luxury. read more

Polish Salon is a PIG PEN...IT IS DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY. Nail clippings were everywhere, dirty towels were on the floor ..it was nasty ......and I could not wait to get out of there. Polish graciously hosted me and a group of girl friends for a lovely baby shower girl's night. They let us bring snacks and drinks, and were so very nice! I got a shellac manicure and regular pedicure, and they did a great job. Everyone was very happy with their nails- definitely a place to go back to. read more

Very disappointed with this service. We made reservations for 4 at noon, after double checking that we could all sit together. We got there at noon and there were not 4 seats available, so they said they could seat 3 of us. Of course, we wanted to wait for us all to do it together. When we said this, the girl working seemed taken back, and she didn't seem thrilled. We waited 25 minutes and left because we didn't want to rush people (and they were taking walk ins while we were waiting). My new favorite pedicure spot. I've been in twice and never had to wait! First pedicure actually wasn't so good but I came back to try again because the price was so reasonable. I wish I could remember the last who did my second pedicure because it was probably the best I've ever had. This was the most thorough massage chair I've ever been fortunate to use. Not only did it soothe my back muscles but it even squeezed my hips like a legit masseuse. Chair, five stars. Mani-pedi? eh. They rounded my nails without asking and cut my toenails too short. read more

This is the best pedicure I have ever received, EVER. Having lived in Chicago I was picky about pricing and service. I tried several places after moving to Cincinnati before a friend recommended Polish. Every technician I have had has been consistent; paying attention to details, taking their time. If you are looking for a quick mani or pedi, this is not the place. I usually only get a pedi and it takes an hour. An hour in a relaxing massage chair. The calf and foot massage is amazing. Polish Nails may not look like your typical nail spa from the outside, but the service I received has been hands down the best pedicure I have received in the Cincinnati, East side area. I was running late prepping for a wedding and this was the only place that was accepting walk-ins and I was desperate, so I stopped in. When I left I was so pleased with how my shellac pedicure turned out! I do not live in the area anymore, but will definitely be back for more service next time I visit home! read more

Horrible experience. I've been here earlier but this time was bad. They fit me in last minute, which was good. But I had the appointment set with the gentleman there because Chanta wasn't available. But the guy didn't show up so someone else started my pedicure. After 10 minutes into the pedicure, the salon started getting busy and they started rushing my service. Another lady did my manicure while my pedicure was on. The nail polish peeled off in less than 3 days. Won't be going there again. They shouldn't book so many people that they have to rush service. Coz it's not cheap!! $45 if you use a credit card. I felt cheated out of a relaxing mani/pedi experience because it was rushed and the polish didn't even stay on for a week, let alone two! read more

Loved this place. I've tried 3 establishments offering pedicures on the eastside and this one was the best. It's small (only ~4 pedicure chairs) so I usually call ahead to reserve an appt so I've never had to wait. The pedicure price is reasonable and includes an awesome foot/ calf massage. LOVE Polish nails. The first time I came here was over a year ago on the day before my wedding with my six bridesmaids, mom and mother-in-law. We called ahead since we had a large party and they were able to get us all in around the same time. They were so sweet and did an amazing job on my gel manicure. When I left they handed me a gift certificate for a complimentary pedicure for the bride. It was very sweet and unexpected! Ever since moving back to Cincy, I haven't gone anywhere else. The shop itself is pretty small, but I find it to be comfortable and pleasant. They are good about taking walk-ins and I haven't had a bad manicure (acrylic or gel) yet! My toenails were clipped by a humongous clipper and the operator clipped the sensitive skin under the nail. First time there and wasn't shown where all the polishes were. Had an appointment with one person I requested but didn't get that person. Never, never, never going again. My toe still hurts 2 hours later. read more

While my nails lasted almost a month and was affordable didn't feel as though they are comfortable serving black people took 25 minutes before they took me then another 15 minutes before they provided the remover to take my acrylic off. I spent over two hours there They were very pleasant and accommodating to everyone else mostly white people being from New York dealing with racial profiling is awful my worst experience since moving here the quest for nail salons continues......... read more

This place is a hidden gem! The nail technicians here are THE nicest I've ever encountered. I called with an "emergency" (going on vacation the next day) and they fit me in for a late mani-pedi appointment. The place was very busy when I arrived. As soon as I walked in, they started a soak for me and directed me to a massage chair. The salon is small and doesn't look like much from the outside, but the service is great. Very thorough. They asked me what shape I wanted my nails in, if I wanted them cut down or just filed, etc. (something other neighborhood salons have failed to do...). Afterwards, they instructed me (and other guests) on how long to sit under the dryers, and then came and checked on my nails before I left the salon. Since I was going on vacation, she also added an oil treatment just to make sure my mani-pedi was perfect for my trip. I ended up staying in the salon 30 minutes after they closed because they were so attentive to making sure my manicure was perfect and would last. My nails look beautiful! At first I was discouraged because I had to wait a hour, despite having an appointment, but the mani/pedi was great. In less than 4 days, the polish had peeled off on 2 nails (it peeled off in one sheet, I didn't pick at it) I called and asked if they could fix it and I got in right after work. Instead of fixing the 2 nails that had lost the polish, they insisted on repainting all of my nails. They re-shaped my nails and even cleaned up a few stray cuticles. I asked how much I owed and they said nothing. I tried to leave a few bucks as a thank you and they wouldn't even accept that! All and all, the wait was worth it because they do a great job and if you're not satisfied, they will redo it for no charge. I'll definitely go back! read more

I love Polish Nails! I believe it's owned by a family so you always see familiar faces. I just moved to the Hyde Park area a few months ago and out of all the places I've been to, this place is my favorite. It's very clean and the place doesn't hit you with the nail polish odor when you walk in unlike some other places. Polish Nails is small so I definitely recommend setting up an appointment. Walk-ins do have some waiting time but it's probably because they care more about the people they're attending to rather than getting people in and out of the door. I recommend this place! read more

I really love this nail salon. Today was my fourth time there and I will keep going back every two weeks. It certainly is not a huge place but it is extremely clean and everyone is accommodating and friendly. The environment is very relaxing and so is the music. I always make a reservation in advance and never have to wait. The first time I went, Sonny took care of my gel manicure and did such a perfect job, that I ask for him when I make a reservation. If he is with another customer when I get there, someone else will remove my old polish etc... until he is free; it's nice to see everyone pitching in. I'm reviewing based on my first and only time coming into this salon- this shellac manicure was the best I've ever had! It has lasted two and a half weeks so far, and I'm going in tomorrow to have them done again only because of the growth showing (seriously, the polish hasn't chipped yet, and I'm rough on my hands). I walked in and was immediately helped (I walked in on a Wednesday around 5:30; they really seemed to get busy around 6.). They have a ton of shellac colors to choose from, too. When I get there, there are people waiting and I am told that I will have to wait alongside the walkin clients. The price is very reasonable for the area and the quality of the service is what you would receive at a high end spa. I usually get the gel manicure and a pedicure and I am always pleased with the high quality of work I receive each and every time I go to Polish, I have never been disappointed. I unfortunately had a very bad experience. I guess I wasn't as lucky as the other people that wrote reviews. I didn't make an appointment, which was nice not to have to wait around because I was taken care of immediately. The lady who took care of me was rushing to get done. She was taking care of the phone that kept ringing. She would stop working on me to answer the phone and take appointments. She ended up cutting my toe on an angle, when I asked her what she was doing. She seemed surprised and said not to worry that she didn't take off too much. She was unfocused, rushing, and seemed frazzled! I should of stopped the pedicure at that moment, but then I realized that I was too late, and she should just get it done. At the end she charged me $3 more because I used a credit card. There is NO note anywhere in the facility that mentions that you will get charged a fee for using a credit card.
