My friend convinced me to get a wax and said she came to South Beach and she loved it. My first visit I was so nervous of PAIN! I saw Victoria and she was so sweet and nice and talked me through EVERYTHING on the brazillian. She told me what the sting would feel like and how much to expect. She was super patient and so understanding and I felt right at ease as soon as she came in and started talking to me even though all my parts were just out in the open. A brazillian is never a super fun experience, but with her calmness and her knowledge on how to wax, it wasn't unbearable and the pain is gone within seconds! The second time around she even did a few smaller sections over the areas that are prone to the most pain. She really know what she's doing and pays attention to every minor detail! I have been coming here for many years and she always remembers my name and tries her best to squeeze in my appointment even if I am running a few minutes late. VERY clean and hygienic! They don't double dip the wax sticks and use paper liners on the table. The best part is their packages. I've moved to Cincinnati recently and needed to find a place for handling waxing. South Beach Wax had good reviews and is close by so I made an appointment. My appointment was with Victoria and she was great. I liked the wax they use (she named it as Comfort Wax). As you age and your skin gets thinner, the tug of waxing becomes more painful. I braced for it, but it was only slightly uncomfortable. It had been a while since I'd been waxed and she was extra thorough to make sure the skin was clear. Definitely recommend. read more

So I have been waxing hair off my body for years. Yes, yes, TMI, I know. As a long standing wax-er I have had all kinds of experiences. Good, bad, and ugly has happened to me before on a waxing table. In my constant search for waxing studios that know what they are doing I decided to try this place out a couple months ago. Yesterday I went for the second time, and let me tell you they are awesome. I have had two different girls both times that I went. They were both fantastic (Maureen and Rebecca) so don't worry if you don't get the same person each time. That all know what they are doing. The environment is great. It's clean, bright, and had plenty of privacy. Each customer is taken to a private room with a massage table. You just lay down and they wax whatever you need. Aside from the great staff, and clean environment, the "secret sauce" of this place truly is their wax. The wax they use here is AMAZING! It pulls off clean, not oily, and even smells nice. I don't feel like when I leave that I need to wash my face or hop into a shower. Once you're done you pay up front and walk out the door. I get several things done when I'm there and have never been there for over an hour. I have recommended this place to all of my girlfriends. It's a must try! read more

I recently found South Beach Wax online and was able to make an appointment which fit my schedule easily. The pricing is very straightforward and more affordable than most other salons. The waiting room is modern, comfortable, and clean. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Maureen was top notch! She explained everything beforehand and set me at ease. The wax itself was perfectly warm, of course hurt when it was removed, but didn't cause any rashes or bumps. I love that they use natural organic wax which also needs no strips to be applied! I really do want to love this place. Based on the wax alone, I would prefer to go here over any other salon that I know of. The problem is that I can never get in, and service seem inconsistent when I can. I never really know when I can be in the area, so I tend to rely on walk-in policies to get my eyebrows waxed. I've never been taken as a walk-in here, even though they claim to accept them. I could understand once in a while, but every single time? Why even say you take walk-ins? The service has been spotty. I've had some who were great, and some who were iffy. I had one woman tell me I need to start wearing sunscreen because I'm getting sunspots on my face (I wear sunscreen literally every single day). read more

Brazilian waxes are never easy but she's made them as painless as (I'm convinced) they can be. When I moved from Chicago to cincinnati a year ago I was very discouraged because I had a great wax lady back home and when I came here I tried several people at European wax centers throughout the city but I had bad results. It might have been the wax or the waxer or both but my skin broke out and I had several ingrown hairs. At South Beach Wax, the wax is organic, which is great because my skin is very sensitive. I've had no break outs. Minimal ingrowns (maybe two so far). Place is clean and she doesn't use the same stick twice (which of course no one should but just putting that out there). Maureen is also very personable and she makes you feel comfortable. Won't entrust my lady parts to anyone else. read more

Let me just say a couple things-- I have had my share of Brazilians waxes, classy boutiques where it feels like I've stepped into Italy to mass chains like European Wax Center.. South Beach Wax is my FAVORITE, favorite, favorite place to get my hair yanked out! HA! HERE IS WHY. 1. Their wax! Amazing stuff- it never feels uncomfortable on application or while hardening. I have never had any ingrown hairs while getting waxed with this beautiful blue taffy. 2. The people! Kerissa is my girl! She is amazing. I am excited to go get waxed because I feel like she is more like a friend- she is wonderful at keeping conversation pleasant and always willing to offer advice on life, waxing, exfoliation, makeup, cars-- you name it! I have recommended many people, including two of my closest friends to go get their first waxes with Kerissa and they say the SAME THING. 3. Cleanliness- spick and span! Never feel like there is a hygiene issue, everything is clean and sanitized. They always use a different popsicle stick (I know there is probably a better name for it but hey... whatever) for every dip, etc, etc. 4.Friendly- always offer a water and make you feel comfortable. Only complaint isn't even one! I just wish I didn't drive all the way from Hamilton to go get my cooch waxed! Ha, but it is WORTH IT!
