I deeply appreciate the patience and attention to the details Bev provided, specially when dealing with a very tricky, very fine and heavily straight hair full of cowlicks like mine. Bev was very nice and friendly and carefully listened while I was explaining how I wanted my hair, which I appreciate since I'm not an English native speaker. I left very happy with the result, may hair has texture and form and Bev made it easy for me to style it by myself. I definitely plan visit back for my next trim. read more

Relaxed and friendly salon. I'm not a high maintenance person. I like to look nice without breaking the bank or adding multiple colors. I'm sure this place would accommodate people that enjoy getting lots of color - it's just not me. So I get overwhelmed at most salons - I feel like I need to buy more products or do something more with my hair. I leave other places feeling upset, because of the pressure and the price tag. I love this place. Everyone is friendly. Alex is my friend and my stylist. She does a great job with my hair. I leave feeling like I'm in a hair commercial with the wind blowing accenting my new look. If you're looking for a new place, I would definitely recommend this one. read more

Like many in the area, I was apprehensive about going to a salon during the pandemic, even one that I trusted as much as Great Haircuts. Finally, after trying to cut my hair myself (terrible), I went to Great Haircuts and was more than pleased at the precautions they took. Doctors' and dentists' offices are not as careful as this salon has been. Everybody including you must wear a mask, you wait outside until your appointment and they disinfect the chairs and all the utensils thoroughly. It gave me a great sense of relief. And, the haircuts have been great. read more

They do haircuts for men, too. I've never had a bad haircut. However you want it, that's how they do it.

Sorry had to drop a star on account of the new guy. A bit rude to call him out I suppose but what I love about this place is the quality of the cut is so good across providers. They are busy and it can be tricky to schedule with the same provider, but the new stylist is not up to par with the standard here and introduces an unwelcome inconsistency. As an Asian male, Beverly at Great Haircuts is the best, and probably one of the few barbers in the Cincinnati area that really knows how to cut Asian hair. On the first day she was patient with me and worked with me to find a haircut that works for my face and hair type. I've been going ever since and she is now my regular hairstylist, and I always have great conversations with her. Highly recommended! read more

What a diamond in the rough! My fiancé has been trying nonstop to find a legitimate place in Cleveland that gets cutting Asian hair right. Randomly during a visit to Cincinnati, he decided to try Great Haircuts. For Asian hair, you must ask for Beverly. She was very willing to work with my fiancé as she cut my fiancé's hair to make sure that it was what he wanted. She was very detailed in her work and had a good understanding of what kind of styles Asians prefer. The price was also very reasonable for this gem we have yet to discover elsewhere outside of Chicagoland. If we ever have to go back to Cleveland, we will definitely make an appointment with Beverly again. I'm so glad my fiance's cut doesn't look awkward .. it's the first time in quite a while. After moving to Cincinnati one year ago, I tried a few of the places in town (Sports Clips, Super Cuts, Roosters in Mariemont, and Mariemont Barber Shop). I received inconsistent haircuts from all of these places, and while the latter two gave me some great haircuts, I got some not-great ones as well. After finding Great Haircuts, I will never go to another salon for my hair. They greet you with a warm smile every time, they remember their customers, and most importantly, their haircuts are on point every time. I've had haircuts by Alex, Amy, and Mary (a total of 5 haircuts), and I have gotten a great haircut each and every time. Sure, they're a little pricier than a few of the other places in town ($27 for a men's haircut), but it's well worth it, because you know you're going to get a perfect haircut every single time, and an excellent experience overall. read more

This little salon really surprised me the first time I walked in. There were as many male as female clients (maybe even more!) and they were from all ages. I'm not used to this! I normally patronized salons that were almost exclusively for women that were more "spa"-like. But I had already met my new stylist in a social setting and after a friendly conversation, decided to give her a try. Amy listened as I explained what I wanted and for the first time in years, left the salon with no desire to go home and wash my hair. I've been a faithful client for over a year now, unusual for me :) I'm writing now because I'm particularly pleased with my "do" (new as of yesterday) and wanted to let give Amy her just due as a real professional. 40 years ago my brother came home with a good haircut one day. Our mother commented on it. So I went there and got the best haircut I'd had yet. I continued to go there whenever I was in Cincinnati. During the ensuring decades I lived in other cities and sought out the best haircuts I could find in them, and I did find a really great one in New York City, but no one ever exceeded what I continue to get from Great Haircuts here now that I'm back in Cincinnati. read more
