My partner's family was visiting from out of town so we headed to Blue Ash Chili for the Cincinnati staple. We were a big group of 10 people and they easily seated all of us on a Saturday night. I ordered the 6-way with fried bottle caps (fried jalapenos) and while it was a heart attack on a plate, it was indulgent and satisfied a craving only a giant plate of Cincinnati chili can satisfy. Great place for Cincinnati chili. The place has expanded significantly since the last visit. I ordered 3way and my partner ordered 5 way with Cincinnati jalapeño caps--very yummy!! We got the delicious pretzel with 3 dips. Pretzel was huge and one of the best German, authentic, pretzels I have had in awhile. Chili was yummy and tasted wonderful. Dessert was a hit with crème brûlée cheesecake, pumpkin cheesecake, and baklava. The baklava was dense and heavier than normal, you should definitely have them heat it up because it's not as good cold. Service is slow, wait staff slow, but bus boy-Juan was fast at clearing tables and keeping tables clean. Ambiance was terrific, but only one bathroom for ladies is a sure downside if you have to go bad? Also, seating takes awhile, but I did like the in/out experience on a nice day, the windows were pulled up. If you have plenty of time and not in a rush, this is a great place to sit and dine. Decided to treat myself to a Deli sandwich. Based on a suggestion from my brother I ordered take out. Had a Tate for pastrami and was pleasantly surprised by the fact that they made double deckers. Eryn and Tabby were my order takers extroidinaire...the customer service matches the sandwiches. Anything is mostly doable with the exception of dill pickle spears. I ordered 3 double deckers Bacon, Ham and Turkey and of course Pastrami. They were delicious and I was unable to eat the whole sandwich. I had to cut it into fours, and didn't finish it that day. We went to the Blue Ash Chili in Blue Ash on 8/6/25. We had not been there since they relocated, so it had been quite awhile. The place was crowded. That being said, the service was still fantastic. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. Our drinks were always filled without us having to ask. Moving on to the menu. There are 4 or more pages of things to order. I ordered the ham/roast beef doubledecker and fries and a Diet Coke. I was shocked at the size of the sandwich. I would have to call it massive, especially by today's standards. My friend ordered a BLT made exactly the way she requested. The price plus tip was $36.00. In my opinion, more than worth it, for what we ordered. I will be back! read more

I checked out the new location of Blue Ash Chili, as they were forced to vacate their original that they had occupied for so many years. I think they did a great job with the new spot. It is spacious and modern, with many nods to the nostalgia. There is plenty of parking and even a little patio with outdoor tables. They have garage doors that open and connect the inside with the the outside. There is an order counter for take out as well as a prepared case. Your choice of booths, tables, and a diner counter are available for dine in. The staff was super nice and took my take out order. I got the chili mac and cheese 5 way style and a Turkey BLT with cheese double decker to split with a friend. We agreed that the chili mac was a bit disappointing. The flavor was there but it was a very small portion and quite greasy. I had this at another place and it was more like the ratio of a normal 5 way. The double decker was awesome and is one of my favorite things on their menu. It is loaded with high quality ingredients. This is the place for sandwiches, the double decker sandwiches do not disappoint. Every time we come to visit family we have to stop here for a bite. I love getting my Cincinnati chili when I'm in Southern Ohio but this was my first try at Blue Ash Chili and really enjoyed it! The chili wasn't as spiced (maybe cinnamon-y) as I'm used to for topping spaghetti but the ingredients tasted very fresh and I really like the thick chopped onions. I stopped by for dinner around 7pm on a Thursday and it was packed but service is quick so tables turned over fast. The staff was also very friendly and they move fast so I had a great meal in under half an hour. Perfect because I needed to make my way towards the airport. Overall, I'd recommend getting the cheese coney! It reminds me of a little chili dog and I like more traditional chili on my hot dogs. Plus their mascot is super cute! read more

Monte Cristo, burger, ghoeta lettuce tomato (GLT) all hit the spot and were amazing. A regular for us and it is amazing every time.

We are regulars there as we live in Blues Ash and are retired and go there once or twice a month. The food and the menu is amazing and it is always packed and a line crowded in the restaurant. However, we usually go around noon and stand at the front of the line the last two times and there are tables available and all the waitresses are too busy charming other tables for bigger tips. I am not talking about 5 or 10 minutes but the first time was about half an hour and the second time was 10 minutes and BOTH times the table immediately to the left was clean and open and unmarked for any special occasion. The first time for 30 minutes none of the waitresses even came close or looked at us so I could flag them down or at least apologize and let us know they are on it. As I said, we are regulars and always tip good so this treatment is un called for. I deliberately had to stand with my back to the dining room and give them their own ignoring back to them and immediately a waitress finally noticed and came and sat us. I had to go get my wife because she has arthritis and weight issues and she went and sat on the benches at the back of the line. I snapped at the waitress how long we had been standing when there was a table right there and she got snarky and patronized me "Do you want this table??" like we could have just claimed it when there is a "Please wait to be seated sign" there. Now they communicated it to the other waitresses so now all of a sudden three different waitresses come up and act friendly so there isn't a scene and they can schmooze us for a big tip. The system that trusts the waitresses to be responsible and professional is not working so I am sorry Blue Ash Chili - you need to get a hostess or manager out there. You are living off the laurels of your reputation and taking your customers - even the loyal ones - for granted. Next time we get treated like this I will have the manager come to the front of the line and give him/her an earful. They say just go somewhere else but why should we be punished - does that fix the problem for the rest of the community? read more

In Italy, each local city or village can be identified by their local pasta, most of which comes from how they shape their dough. In historically german Cincinnati, the same can be said for Chilli parlors. Historically every small neighborhood had their own chili dive, and they all had their "secret" recipe. Over the years many of the mom and pops gave way to the big two in Cincinnati, but I'm happy to say that Blue Ash Chili has survived and is thriving. BAC moved locations about 1 year ago and has brought with it all of their traditional Cincinnati and comfort based foods, while providing more space with upgraded everything in their new location. I have gone to BAC for the last 15 years, even before Guy Fieri took uncomfortably large bites on DD&D. So why come? It has the classic chili spaghetti that is iconic in these parts, but also offers many other double deckers and great comfort foods. They even offer Goetta, which is another local favorite and also what landed on my sandwich today. Their service is always prompt, the food comes out fast and fresh, and it tastes great. The wait staff have always been friendly and personable. The new booths are very comfortable as well. It's amazing to me that even with more seating than their old place, it is actually more crowded now. That is great for BAC and those like me that enjoy it. Just earned if you come during peak lunch hours you may have to wait a minute. Just look at those pies in the case next to you and dream about dessert until your seated. They are closed on Sundays, which is a bummer BUT I fully support locally owned diners hours. read more

I mean truly one of the best things I have eaten. Simple and flavorful. Crinkle Fries, brown gravy, topped with cheddar cheese and then melted,how can that go wrong? Now on to the chili.. It was okay at best, very heavy on the cumin. More like a sauce, but decent. Not what I think of when I think chili, but each region makes it their own. I still think Dixie Chili with its cloves of garlic all over it is the best you can get but this one is pretty good. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to eat it again. Is it as tasty as Skyline? I'm not sure. Definitely less salty. Tastes a little bit more homemade and gravy like. While the chili is somewhere between 4 and 5, and the wait time was definitely more along the lines of a two or three (I was in a hurry and so many people got taken care of before me when they shouldn't have), the reason why this place scores a very solid 5 stars is the girls working here. First of all there are several of them and they are all in the 20 to 29 age range and all spectacularly gorgeous blondes. It looks like a Dallas cheerleading team or something. It's hard to tell between them because they are all so damn pretty. It's one thing when you have a bunch of pretty waitresses but it's another thing when one of them takes an interest in me and starts talking to me and hitting on me and all the good stuff. Giving me the eyes and everything. I get plenty of that especially in Cincinnati lately LOL but not usually from beauty queens like this.
