A very pleasant surprise. We love diners and there aren't many left in the tri-state area. Blue Ash chili definitely has that vibe. Besides Cincinnati style chili they offer a wide variety of traditional diner specialties- double deckers, burgers shakes, fries, salads among other options. We stopped by for dinner and had the tuna melt. We split an order of French fries - which was a good decision because there was a lot! The tuna melt was fabulous- served on toasted and buttered white bread, topped with melted cheese and a tomato slice. The tuna salad itself was yummy. Our waitress said it was made in house. Though we didn't leave room for dessert- they had a tantalizing array of them up front in a glass case. Maybe next time!

While visiting Cincinnati, we learned that goetta (a grain and meat sausage) and Cincinnati chili are local specialties, so we decided to stop by Blue Ash for a taste. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately. The open kitchen on the right side had five staff members actively preparing food. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic, frequently addressing us with terms of endearment. We ordered the Cincinnati chili served "3-way," which included spaghetti mixed with chili and topped with shredded cheese. The chili's seasoning--a unique blend of cinnamon, allspice, and cloves--reflects its Greek and Macedonian immigrant roots. While the flavors were interesting, the portion size was smaller than expected, and the taste was average. We also tried the goetta sandwich, which was served with tomatoes and coleslaw on grilled bread. While the flavors were decent, the sandwich was a bit greasy. The restaurant was quite busy during lunchtime, reflecting its popularity. We're glad we had the opportunity to try these local dishes, but the experience was overall just okay.

Tried the Nashville hot 4 way. It had spices on the spaghetti and had some habanero cheese with cheddar. It was good but coming here at different times I've noticed you have to get the ways wet. You have more spaghetti and it tends to be dry. I keep forgetting to ask for wet but I still like their chili and coneys. I've ventured to a double decker sometime and that is where you get a meal.

Our first time for Cincinnati chili, we chose this one because it's been on DDD. We liked it more than we expected. I got 5 way with light cheese which was still a lot lol. Joe had 3 way without beans and onions. I took off a star because the food could have been hotter. Waitress was great!

Went here for the first time with hubby & in-laws. We were seated immediately & the server took our drink order. My brother-in-law & I both got the Cincy Taco Week special (3 birria tacos). Hubby ordered one coney dog & a chili mac & cheese. My mother-in-law got the fish sandwich. We all liked the food. I tasted hubby's chili & it was pretty good. I asked if the coney dogs were 100% beef & was told they were not. The server took good care of us. There is a lot of variety on the menu, including breakfast so we'd like to return to try other items.

Killer Double Decker Sandwiches? Yup. Fantastic Salads? Got em'! Desserts for here or to go? Take one of each if you can't make up your mind! I've been a Blue Ash Chili fan for a long time. Still shocked that the Mason location closed. But, not too far away, you'll find one right across from the Tri-County Ghost Town. If you are craving a good "BIG Salad", look no further. Order one of these and I dare you to dig your way out. But the Double-Deckers........now that's where they get ya'. The BLT Double Deck is like no other you have ever had. There is one thing to be wary of - High blood pressure. That's right. If you're monitoring your sodium intake, you may want to double up on your meds. Blue Ash Chili does not mess around when it comes to their bacon helpings. Everything is fresh and you can taste it. The staff is always outstanding. It is truly a clean old-school diner feel type of place with great food. "But Jason H.... what about that fifth star?" Great question, nobody in particular. I was just about to get that. I don't dole out the fifth star for just anything and everything. It's hard for me to dish out. In the case of Blue Ash Chili, everything is five star all the way. You will never be disappointed. But, at the end of all of that goodness, you will get the bill. You will possibly be shocked by that bill. Now that's when I ask myself- "am I getting what I pay for here?" Technically, I would have to say "yes", but the prices are kind of high and you should be aware of that. I'm NOT saying it's not worth it, but a bill for a family of 3 to 5 can be a bit shocking at first. In summary, I wouldn't call it a "value" but I would push to say that it's "worth it". Would I go back? Against my cardiologist's recommendations, yes, I do come here several times a year. Because it's delicious and the best sandwich shop / diner around!

When in Rome, do as the Romans do. On a business trip to Cincinnati, we heard about the the hype associated with the Cincy Chili of the area. A group of us decided to go have a taste of this special chili recipe. Verdict: the chili dogs were enjoyed with added mustard. The chili 4-way, not so much. The chili recipe has the unique flavors provided by the addition of nutmeg, cinnamon and chocolate mixed in with the ground beef, cheese and beans. Adding onions is the 4th topping giving it the "4-way" name. The concoction is served over spaghetti. It was an unusual flavor combination that stays with you. Not a dish for me or my friends who also tried it, but as I wrote, when in Rome... I would describe the flavor as really bad-tasting Indian curry. We opted to get Graeter ice cream afterwards to help get the lingering flavor out of our mouths. Now that place was worth it and deserves recognition for being a local favorite. All in all, give it a try if you really want something you won't find elsewhere- the other known brand in the area is Skyline Chili. You can find this one in terminal B of the Cincinnati airport...for me, I'm good with just one try of the dish. Service was friendly and the place was busy with customers.

Everything about this eatery is good. It's a bit questionable from the outside but you are transported to a pretty sweet diner feel as you walk in. This place is tidy! It's all so clean. The folks working here are super friendly. The menu is absolutely crazy with all the various options from breakfast to dinner served all day. We get our food rather quickly & hot off the grill considering how busy they are this is impressive! There were three of us and we all got to try each others dishes and they were all incredible but the winner to me was the chopped Italian(hot). I lived the geotta biscuits and gravy that were quite tasty but the Italian was incredible. The bread was so soft and the amount of meat, veggies and oil/vinegar/seasoning just made this something I'll drive the 30mins back to have again! If you have not ever been here, give it a try. If you have a picky eater, the menu seems to have something for everybody. Give it a try, thank me later.

Fantastic spot! We always get some Ohio-style chili when in Cincinnati. Blue Ash had a nice family-run feel and we're happy to have us as guests. They kick things up a notch from the big name place by having a 6-way, which adds jalapeños. So good!

Overall, a good experience. This was only my second time eating in a Blue Ash Chili. I didn't like my first visit a few years ago, but decided to give it another try. I ordered the coney bowl. Someone else may think the chili is delicious, but I would just say it was okay. It had such a large amount of melted cheese, that it was difficult to eat. The servers were friendly and the place was very clean.

I don't get to Cincy very often, but I was in town for work and this happened to be the closest bar/restaurant near us downtown that looked decent. Safe to say I got very lucky. The first time I went, I ordered the chili as a starter and a chicken tender platter. And when I tell you I was so happy with both -- I mean it. I love a good chili. I grew up eating it with my grandma, and this one tasted like something she would have made. The cheese and sour cream were perfect. I'm not a huge onion guy, but even those worked well with it. Now here's the catch... it was so good that I literally went back and ordered the exact same thing again. And somehow it was even better the second time. They really outdid themselves on both dishes. One thing I noticed the second time around: I asked for three sauces right away, and they brought them out on a plate with a built-in sauce area. It was actually really convenient -- perfect if you're sharing with people. Now let's talk about the tenders. I'll start by saying I know fried chicken pretty well. Pound for pound, these might honestly be the best chicken tenders in America. The easiest comparison I can give is this: imagine if Cane's and Zaxby's had a kid and named him perfection. That's what these are. Sometimes Cane's can be a little light on seasoning, and sometimes Zaxby's goes a little heavy. These are perfectly in the middle with a great crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. Another thing I really liked about this place is the versatility of it. It feels like the kind of spot where you could do anything -- happy hour with friends, a birthday dinner, a corporate dinner, or even a family night out. I love that kind of diversity in a restaurant. Just 10/10 ambiance. And the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Honestly, writing this review is making me want to book a flight back to Cincinnati just to eat there again. Wow.

It was noisy, but we were able to still have a nice conversation. We got the pretzels with beer cheese and spicy mustard. The pretzel was soft, beer cheesy is gooey and so good, and the spicy mustard packed a nice punch! Will definitely recommend! I got the BRU Burger; medium well cook Taleggio Cheese, Bacon, Tomato Jam, Caramelized Onion, Chopped Lettuce, Mayo I got the tomato jam on the side because I never had it and wasn't sure if I'll like it and asked for no bun. The server was nice to offer more shredded lettuce or leaf of lettuce for my burger. The burger was well seasoned, cooked perfectly yo my liking, and to my surprise the tomato jam was delicious! Only thing is... it doesn't come with any sides, not even fries!! You'll have to add that as a side if you want fries ($2). There are other side options. Service is super good, food is good, place is clean, cocktails made well. Overall, definitely would be back next time I'm here. Sadly, I devoured my deconstructed burger before a photo could be snapped.

The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!
