They took down what remained of the tree and ground the stump without doing any damage to the house or the yard. Last week we had them back out to take out three 25-foot high black cherry trees that had died and were all very close to a fence and several other tall locust trees. They brought all three trees down without doing any damage to the fence or the surrounding trees in just a few hours. They do great work, and are extremely reasonable. I can't recommend Illinois Tree enough.

Recommendation for Sinnott Tree Services located in McCook This company has been around a long…read moretime. We had three large dead trees in our backyard. Being prudent, we shopped around since we knew this would not be a cheap project.. The bids were across the board, from $2300 to $9000. Finally, my husband, who is in the construction trade, told me to get an estimate from Sinnott. He has known the company for many years. Their bid was right in the middle. But the thing that really sold me was that an arborist (tree specialist) came out to do the estimate. In addition to the tree cutting, we showed them some branches we wanted cut down on other trees and were told that it would be very bad for the trees to have done now, it needs to be in the fall so as not to damage the existing tree. No one else told me that. They were just going to cut them down. A group of 4 very polite men came to do the job. They had all of the equipment needed, including a crane and a lift. Two of the trees were very tall and none of the others had that equipment. They were going to climb the trees.. My stumps were ground and everything was cleaned up very well. You might get someone cheaper but not as good. That's it. Just wanted to share.

We needed some serious tree work done. A decent sized dead ash, a Siberian elm that needed…read moretrimming, and a huge sugar maple that we were pretty sure was mostly hollow. Animals went in and out of it, it had lost a huge branch, it was leaking sap, and something had excavated a lot of pulp out of it. We got a tree guy when we built the house, nice enough, but there was a lot of sloppiness, even some damage. The village of Westmont used Vidito a lot, and we watched them take down the dead trees on our parkway, so we went with them. The owner came out, gave everything a good look, gave me an estimate that was in line with what I was expecting. We just had to wait for the right day, maybe a little colder, so the frozen lawn wouldn't get too ripped up. Sizable crew, started roughly on time, and everything was done efficiently and perfectly. All nice guys, and the owner personally supervised the whole day. They were careful about my wife's baby pine tree, and even the birch right next to the huge tree barely took a hit. They had to work between that birch, my house, and the neighbor's flock of Rose of Sharon. I was positive something would get crushed, but nothing. They put down lots of plywood to limit the impact on the lawn, which definitely shows some wear, but there was a lot of equipment, and it was a lot less tread than I expected. Every time they prepared to take down a large chunk (of what turned out to be a half-hollow tree), they calculated what they were doing, where the thing was going to go, how they'd lower it on ropes, stuff you'd think would be expected (but I've seen other guys chainsaw and hope for the best). It all went the way they planned. They cleaned up the site beautifully, left me a bunch of firewood, and when they saw me carting mulch from the grinded stump to the back of my yard, they helped out with that too. Overall, this was a cost-effective, great outcome. They know their stuff, and they obviously hire well too. Between this, the parkway, and everything else I've heard about these guys, I highly recommend Vidito.

They left one lane open while cutting on a residential street, which of course I understand, but to curse and call me profanities just because they needed to direct traffic because no one could go through (A car was coming at the same time as me through the one lane they provided.) And to tell me to " F *** off to your home b****" that is in the area at 9 in the morning is just diabolically unprofessional. If it weren't for the lady who answered from their office and was so polite to me about the situation, I would say I would never recommend this company to others in the area, but I know I will never request services from this company simply because of the fear of my neighbors being called out of their names for trying to get to and fro their homes.

My first experience was to have a 60-year old pine tree removed and base plus roots completely stumped. They gave me the best quote of the 4 I sought and when the day came they had all the right equipment and personnel. I' once used them to clean up many substantial downed branches and things after a mini-tornado. Not only was the service impeccable, but what I really appreciated was their quote. Other contractors were gouging but they gave me a fair price that was better than everybody else's Another job they did, also the biggest job they did for me included taking out a massive 60-year old Oak, and various bushes and trees that ran along 3 sides of my yard. This large job took the entire day but they cleared every bush and stumped every root well into the evening until the job was done. (before and after pics attached) Through all of this, the business owners have been incredibly easy to deal with.
