Mr. Bluder and his crew did an amazing job for us removing a ton (and I mean... LOTS & LOTS & LOTS) of trees around our new house in Arlington Heights. He is extremely professional and the rate was unbelievable! We had a 70' (at least) pine tree right next to our new house that was just too big, took up way too much space and dropping pine needles everywhere. We called Bluder Tree Service to help us. He came out, looked over the property, gave us an estimate, told us step-by-step what we would need to do & who to call (like J-U-L-I-E), and was ready to do regardless of the weather! They were completely professional, did a great job removing all our trees, helped us remove the stumps, cleaned up the best they could, apologized for the condition of the lawn because of the equipment (they had to drive on the property to get rid of everything) and even provided us with suggestions of what to do in the spring without the "Salesman Pressure." Bluder Tree Service does work around our village(Stickney) and we got their card from one of the crew when they were working in the area. About 2 years later, we were ready for tree removal. My husband and I got a quote over the phone and we were ready to go. The crew showed up and got to work. It was amazing how quickly they removed the trees. Unfortunately my property has been devastated with the emerald ash borer destroying 7 huge trees. Herb Bluder came out right away when he heard that I was cited by my village to have them removed. I contracted with them in mid October and was told that I had been put on the schedule. 7 months later after numerous phone calls requesting a time frame for completing this contract, I sent a demand letter for services with a deadline of June 2, 2014 nearly 8 months later. Within a week I received a letter from their attorney stating that the proposal had been withdrawn last fall and that I had been REPEATEDLY told that Bluder Tree Service would not be doing this contract! I was also informed that I would be sued for filing a frivolous law suit against the company. This letter was a complete fabrication! I had been told for months that my contract was "on the schedule" and temporarily set for completion at the end of March, then the end of April etc... On June 3rd I was able to secure a date of June 18th for tree removal from another vendor who honored their original quote dated October 8, 2013. read more

They did an excellent job removing 6 trees and some shrubs for me. Three of the trees were very close to the house and about 35 feet high, but the guys managed the job without any problems. Excellent, efficient, responsible, RECOMMENDED!

Contacted Bluder to trim a tree with two large branches hanging over my house, one was cracked and another storm would likely cause it to fall on our roof. I was told twice that the owner would be out in the next few days to give an estimate. Never happened. After 2 weeks, the owner still couldn't come out to look at the tree. Apparently, no one who works at Bluder is authorized to come out and give estimates except the owner. Finally, I called one last time and was told the owner wouldn't be able to get to it for a couple of weeks - they were too busy. Great customer service! You will not be in business long if you keep this up. Take your business elsewhere folks - unless you are a really big job that brings in a lot of money, you will be ignored. read more
