What an amazing company!! I needed trees taken out from around my house, so I sent an email request late at night. The next day I had Peter reach out and schedule a time to meet up for a walk through and estimate. I've used his company before so I trust him. Two days later, a crew came at 7:15 am and worked until 10:40. Since the are coming back in the fall to trim my peach tree, he wouldn't even taken money for a deposit for the work. We were really happy with Peter (the owner) and his team. We had just moved into our new home in River Forest. They removed 7 trees (with stumps) and also the garden waste pile we created before they came out. They also trimmed the remaining trees in our backyard. Peter came out and gave me a quote within a day or so of my inquiry. His pricing was better than three other companies. About a week later, he called to let me know they would be coming first thing the following morning. Peter personally showed up with his team on time and within an hour, they had done all the work. They did a nice job of cleaning up. They did accidentally knock down an electric line on the neighbor's property to their garage but they immediately addressed the issue to everyone's satisfaction. They removed 13 trees and stumped them. That was very good. However, a tree grew around several wires, and Peter refused to do anything about it. It's unsafe, and it looks awful (I posted a picture of it). I even offered to call ComEd or the phone company to disable the wires for them. Instead, Peter gave us a saw to do it ourselves!! For regular tree removal, they are fine. However, if you need anything special done, please think twice about hiring this company. read more

I received 5 different quotes to remove a large dead tree from my backyard and trim up another tree in my side yard. Brookfield Tree service had the best price by hundreds of dollars, they arrived on time, checked with the neighbors to make sure it was alright to go through their yard, had the work done in half a day and cleaned up well afterwards. I asked them to save me some wood from the tree and they cut it nicely into firewood and made a neat little stack of it on the side of my house. They didn't have many reviews on yelp but I took a chance on them anyway and am so glad I did. In conversation with a neighbor later I was talking about having a tree cut down from our yard and she told me that she had also used Brookfield Tree Service to cut a large tree out of her yard and had a great experience. read more

Do yourself a favor and get a quote. I have been using Peter and the crew since a friend recommended him 8 years ago. I rehab properties and need him at least once a year. Brookfield is a small operation with one crew so your are getting experienced professionals. They pull up to the property with the fleet of equipment and it feels like the cavalry has come to save you. They are quick and work clean. I have used them for trees but my favorite is cutting down and grinding out overgrown shrubs. I cannot calculate how much value he adds to a property once he has done his magic. read more

I had a couple trees trimmed by Brookfield tree service. They rolled out their trucks to my house and did an ok job of trimming my trees. However, the owner Peter does not return phone calls or call back a couple days later. I would definitely look for another tree cutting service next time around. read more
