I had to remove my silver maple, huge tree in my back yard. A 7 man crew and heavy duty equipment and 10 hours later, they brought in down skillfully and safely. They had to take down my fence panels in order to get the equipment in the yard, which the out back up afterward. They cleaned up everything, and I am extremely please with their work. It is a father/son business. Eulises was very easy to work with and took the time to talk to me about the tree and showed me the rot in the branches and trunk afterward. We have been living in our home in Berwyn, 46 years. The Colorado Blue Spruce that was large when we moved in had became HUGE. We also saw that the very top of the tree had died but we kept imagining what it might cost to trim it. I called Huber at 7:00 AM on a Thursday morning, July 29, 2021, the day the derecho hit and tore down our large maple tree in our Berwyn back yard. Though they had lots of calls that day, they fit me in for the clean up of several large branches that filled the yard. They provided me competitive prices for simple clean up v. complete removal of the tree. I opted for completely removal--partly on the advice of the tree expert, who saw enough evidence of rot in the tree in critical places. I was told the removal would have to be scheduled for another day--and so, on the following day, I received the call, and they came with a crew, and completed the removal within a few hours. The crew was large and professional. They were very respectful of our neighbors--ringing their bell to let them know of the work and cleanup that would be taking place. A day or so after the cleanup, my neighbor commented on how well all the workers communicated with each other. They maneuvered two large trucks--one in my narrow driveway and one in the alley--all without collateral damage. This is a family business, and I got to interact with both father and son. The son in particular is a kind of "tree scientist"--and he was able to explain to me many interesting facts about the life and disease of the tree. When people say the prices of this company are fair, that is the understatement of the century. You simply cannot best their prices. I have had 2 other tree companies work on the trees on my property and no one came anywhere close to the prices at Huber. Tree services were costing us thousands each year (we had a number of overgrown trees needing trimming, treatments for Dutch elm, cabling of large branches, etc). A very large pine tree on our property was dying and this was definitely the largest job we needed done in addition to needing multiple trees re-trimmed (we had them done 2 years ago but the company who did it initially did not trim them enough and we needed them done again this year). Huber removed the large dying pine and trimmed all of the trees for less than we paid other companies for a lot less work and the quality was exceptional. They worked fast and even removed the stump! Huber Tree service is magical. If you get the opportunity to watch the tree trimmer, he is a true artist with the chain saw. He can drop a two foot long section of tree on a dime below him. Such a treat to watch. They do everything, including mulching up the tree as they go into their truck. When they are done, they just drive everything away. Their prices were also super reasonable. Though I rarely write reviews, I felt obligated to express how good this company was, and at a reasonable price. They came when they said they would, took care not to destroy any surrounding plants, took down and put back up a part of my fence that was interfering with reaching a 75-foot weed tree that had been slowly destroying my fence and my neighbor's garage, and got rid of not only that tree but also all the other smaller weed trees growing in a narrow space.
