Gerry and his crew did an excellent job cutting down an old black walnut tree that started to rot from the inside out. The whole crew were awesome. from picking up the branches to sweeping the street after using the chipper. Within afew hours the tree was down, logs and branches haulded away and the stump ground so I can use the remains for my garden area. We had a very large maple tree in a very small back yard. We were concerned about power lines that the tree had surrounded and how close tree branches had come to the house and garage. 4.5 stars actually. Requested a quote on angies list at 230 pm had a quote in my mail box by 430 pm the same day. Arrived on time the day of the job, and were leaving 3 hours later 100% complete. Crew had to use my neighbors driveway and left it cleaner than when they got there. Price was very competitive and resonable. They will leave the stump grindings but will haul away for an additional free. The reason why makes sense to me. I happen to have a use for the mulch so im cool with it. Will recommend and use again if need be. read more

My coworker referred this company to me since she had a great experience with them, and I am so glad I took her advice! Great service, quick response time, professional quality. Called four outfits for quotes for removal of large limb that was hanging over my garage/neighbors new fence and general clean up (trim) of a large maple tree. I wanted the large limbs for firewood. Maple Cut came back with quote that was the lowest (but similar to two others). Company arrived on time at 8 am and workers were polite, efficient and kept worksite very clean. We have a narrow driveway and they were able to get the chipper close to the site without affecting the adjacent property. Professional quality tree climbers meticulously lowered pieces of the large limb to helpers on the ground who piled wood or ran twig-sized branches through the chipper. If you are looking for a dramatic "tree fail" experience to go viral on YouTube, this is NOT the company to call-not their first rodeo! Crew cleaned up all debris upon exit, leaving the site better than before arrival. I would definitely use them again. read more

Gerry and his team did a great job for us. They removed a large section of tree that fell on my roof due to wind damage (11/5/22). I also had them remove the remainder of the damaged tree and grind the stump. They did an excellent job cleaning up before they left. Communication with Gerry was also excellent. He provided many pictures (before and after) so that I could use this to send to my insurance company. I will definitely use them again for any required tree service. I usually do not write reviews, however, would recommend Maple Cut for your tree service. Very responsive, very professional, very courteous and very pleasant. I had a tree in the backyard, against my house and amongst a lot of overhead wires. It was a rather difficult project to maneuver. I spoke with Gerry, I didn't know what to expect with this project so he explained the project, did the estimate and charged me a very reasonable price. They came two days later and removed the tree, did an excellent job and cleaned up afterwards. These guys are very good and seem to really like what they do! NO SHOW and NO CALL! Got a price for our tree work with a cost from Gerry. My wife accepted Gerry's quote. Waited all afternoon and cancelled her appointments because she was told that they would be on site between two and three PM the very next day. Never showed and never called. A wasted day. This company is our super hero! We had previously acquired a bid from another tree service in Addison, (look at my review history) and they ended up not honoring the scheduled service date, cancelling at 5pm the day before, and attempting to lie regarding the reason for the cancellation. Since we had comed coming out to do the disconnect for the tree removal we began a frantic search trying to find a company that could quote and do the tree removal next day. Enter Maple Cut and Jerry who came out same night at 6pm, honored the original quote from another company, and rescheduled his appts to fit us in next day. I cannot stress enough what a great experience we had with Maple Cut. They removed a 70 year old Maple with extreme professionalism, but more importantly were sympathetic to our situation and were flexible enough to work within our tight time constraints. Cannot think of a more positive experience I have had with another company. Super job and will be calling Maple Cut in the future for any additional tree work, no need to look further.
