They gave me the best quote of the 4 I sought and when the day came they had all the right equipment and personnel. In what seemed no time, those men had my tree down and all the evidence of its existence in a truck being hauled somewhere. I' once used them to clean up many substantial downed branches and things after a mini-tornado. Not only was the service impeccable, but what I really appreciated was their quote. Other contractors were gouging but they gave me a fair price that was better than everybody else's Another job they did, also the biggest job they did for me included taking out a massive 60-year old Oak, and various bushes and trees that ran along 3 sides of my yard. This large job took the entire day but they cleared every bush and stumped every root well into the evening until the job was done. (before and after pics attached) Through all of this, the business owners have been incredibly easy to deal with. I just called and stated what I needed done and they either came out for a quote or gave me one over them phone. I've also recommended them to two family members that went on to hire them and both were immensely pleased. One didn't return my call, one wanted to come out in two weeks but gave me a ballpark estimate over the phone and two others that actually came out to look over the yard / space and give me in person pricing. I ultimately decided to go with Fernando's Landscaping. Fernando was one of the landscapers that answered his own phone on my very first call and just so happened to be in a nearby subdivision doing some work and asked me if he could stop by that evening to take a look at the job. He called a couple hours later as he was headed over and was very easy to work with. With a background in landscaping, etc and after working for another large company for years decided to go out on his own - starting his own landscaping business. He walked the yard with me asking what specifically I was looking to have done; offered some options as well, but ultimately left the decisions to me. He took some measurements & pictures and left promising me a bid within 24hrs. I received a call the next morning from Fernando with a very attractive price and mentioned I was looking to get the work done fairly quickly, if possible. He stated he would be able to fit me in between jobs and could make the following week work. A couple days later as scheduled, Fernando showed up and after a full day's work, everything was done! Very pleased from start to finish with the communication, pricing and most importantly, the finished product. I liked that Fernando wanted me to once over the job he did to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. The crew also left the work in an unacceptable condition as a completed job before I had to request them to correct the horrible planting (see photo). At that time, I informed him that I no longer needed the estimate because another company had already removed the tree that had fallen during the recent storms. Within minutes of that conversation, I began receiving multiple text messages from the owner in which he called me rude and continued contacting me in a manner that I felt was inappropriate and harassing. The following day, I spoke with Samantha, the owner's wife. She stated that I should have notified the company sooner that their services were no longer needed. I explained that I was not home when the tree removal was completed and also expressed my concern about the repeated messages I had received from one of their workers. Samantha then informed me that the individual sending the messages was her husband, the owner. Unfortunately, the conversation became increasingly unprofessional. Afterward, I received another text message stating that they were contacting the police regarding the situation, followed by additional messages a few minutes later. I chose not to respond to any of these messages. I understand that scheduling changes can be frustrating for a business; however, I believe the repeated messages, threats to involve law enforcement, and overall manner in which this situation was handled were unnecessary and unprofessional.

At risk of falling on the house in the next storm, and unable to be climbed due to the precarious nature of the damage, Homer Tree showed up with 4 trucks and a master crew who used a crane and bucket truck to safely saw through the trunk and lift the entire canopy out in two enormous sections, which went right into the chipper. They cut out the rest of the trunk, ground down the stump and the last guy on site used a rake to pick up every last stick and leaf. 45 minutes of extraordinary professionalism. These guys know their stuff. We were extremely sad to lose our amazing, beloved tree but glad we didn't have to worry about or home or property being damaged by inexpert removal. And we were very pleased with the pricing and response time, especially after a disastrous weather event. We heard some outrageous price-gouging quotes. Good to know the local guys are there for the community.

I completely understand that weather and storms can cause delays, especially with the number of storms we've had recently. However, the bigger issue has been the lack of communication. I never received any updates and had to repeatedly reach out myself for information. The office staff has been difficult to deal with and often comes across as dismissive. When I called today for an update, I was told the pruning was being looked at to be scheduled in October. I questioned the timing and decided to cancel. The tree has already started to shed since fall is around the corner. I want to be fair because I understand that weather related emergencies can and should take priority. My frustration is that there has been zero proactive communication throughout this process. These services aren't inexpensive, and as a customer, I shouldn't have to repeatedly call just to find out what is happening with a service I contracted and paid for months ago. Kayli was amazing and was very apologetic and helpful when I was able to communicate with her via email. Unfortunately, the office staff who answers the main line really tarnishes the overall experience with the company.
