We have used them several times now and I really appreciate the professional care and teamwork that they display. The foreman Noel was incredibly careful and took time to help the younger team members learn how to safely use equipment. Great team work and execution. read more

If you care about the things around the area being done dont call them . Broke my lights, threw a huge branch on my peace lily and pot. They do a hack job to just looking at some of the stuff they have done. read more

I highly recommend T&M! I had a tree blown over due to the recent wind storm. I called them an hour after the tree went down. They were out at my house with an estimate about a half hour later. T&M came the next day and it only tood them 30 minutes to remove the fallen tree and clean up. It was amazing! Great, fast communication. Friendly crew. They didn't tear up my yard. Great cleanup. Fair pricing. I will definitely use them in the future if needed. read more

Very nice work on my huge maple tree. Reasonably priced. They suggested taking out two stumps and offered decent pricing on those as well. Experienced and efficient. I'll use them again. read more

T&M did an excellent job for tree trimming and tree removal. I think their price was a little on the higher end for the work performed, but it was reasonable especially for the equipment they brought. One thing looked like a thing from the movies. I would use them again because the quality of the work was good. My only nitpicking criticism is that when the foreman called me about other trees he recommended (after the quote I already received), the amount he quoted was significantly higher than I thought it should be especially considering that he already had the manpower and equipment already there. read more

They are truly professionals which is something we consider of primary importance. Sure you can get quotes from part-time uninsured tree-trimming guys who will keep lowering their price to get your signature on a contract, but is it really worth the risk? The T&M team brings proper equipment with the knowledge and experience to do the job correctly the first time. read more

We had three trees removed. T&M was fast, efficient, and reasonably priced. We would definitely use them for any tree projects in the future. read more

The workers who removed a tree from my yard were extremely competent and did their work in a very safe manner. I was impressed not only by their work but also the great shape of the equipment they brought with them. They were truly a very professional crew. I could not be happier with the way the work was preformed. The price was not bad either. I would highly recommend T & M Tree Service. read more

Couldn't recommend this company more. They were very fast in offering a quote and worked with my schedule to get the job done. Had 4 stumps and a large dead tree removed and everything looks great. Great price and great service, just wish I would have called them sooner! read more

I have used T&M Tree Service in the past and was very satisfied. Needed some big trees trimmed and Todd came out within a day and gave me a quote to which I agreed for them to do the work. 6 great guys showed up and got the equipment in my yard and started trimming, hauling away and cleaning up. They got the job done quickly and my trees can now breathe better and I will have less dead branches to cleanup in my yard. Thank you to Todd and his great work crew for making this a painless experience. read more

Stop looking for an arborist and use Todd and his crew at T&M Tree Service. They are kind people, great arborists, and equally great communicators. From my first interaction with Todd, he listened to my objectives, suggested a cost effective course of action, and set out a clear timeline for completion. The crew, including Todd, arrived on-time, were careful to preserve my lawn and landscaping, and checked in at various points during the work to ensure my expectations were being met. I am so pleased to have found an arborist who treated my home (and my checkbook) as their own. read more

Excellent work. Needed some trees trimmed up that were too high for me to reach. The crew showed up on time, were dressed and acted very professional and were very courteous. Trimmed up the trees nicely and cleaned up so well that I couldn't tell that they were here, except for the nicely trimmed trees. Definitely would use this service again if needed. read more

T&M did a great job removing two trees and grinding down the stumps in my front yard. The crew were fast and efficient. They took great care to make sure that nothing was damaged in the process of removing our massive ash tree and small maple. To top it off, they did an incredible clean up job at the end and left my property spotless. I only wish I could have had the work done sooner (3 weeks from booking to completion), but I understand it's a busy time of year for landscape and tree removal. I would definitely use this company again and recommend to others! read more

We moved into a home with a dead tree in the backyard. We were going to wait until spring to remove, but saw a flyer after Thanksgiving. We gave them a call and they were very responsive and were able to remove the tree quickly. Due to Illinois weather we did have to reschedule a couple times. They were flexible & timely. read more

We've used several tree services over the years. This was by far the best company we've ever used. We had two trees about 60' tall that were dead or just about and they just did a tremendous job. From putting down matting to protect the lawn to a great cleanup. If it wasn't for the two small mounds from the stumps they removed you would hardly know there were ever any trees there. Yes, there are some divots in the lawn but that's to be expected. Also, the price was outstanding. I would highly recommend! read more

Perfectly synchronized team of experts with all the heavy equipment to cut down, chip, stump grind and clean all evidence of a huge pine tree in front of my house. These guys know what they're doing from owner to wood chipper. Not one landscape stone cracked and minimal plant disruption. It's a pleasure to see people who know their job, are good at it and get it done efficiently. Great price as well. read more

I've used the services of T&M Tree on 3 occasions but not for 3 years until today (10/26/21). Today they removed a very tall and sprawling Bradford pear and I was pleased to experience the same excellent workmanship, care of my property, professionalism of the crew and fair pricing that I had received previously from T&M. Outstanding customer service is obviously a priority with Todd, the President of T&M, and is reflected by the attitude and performance of his crew. I rarely write reviews of work by contractors, but it was a pleasure writing this one. 5 stars is not enough for this company - they deserve 10. read more

The professionalism by Todd and his crew were second to none. I highly recommend his company. Damian, Naperville read more

Belated review: In July 2020, part of a tree on our property came down on our driveway. I called T&M Tree Service. They actually picked up the phone. One of their people stopped by that morning, did estimate, helped clear driveway. Their crew showed up to take down the rest of the tree that afternoon. Pleased with how responsive they were! read more

Awesome job by T&M Tree Service! Professional, great crew (5 guys), trimmed three 30ft trees in just over an hour and cleaned up to perfection!!! Great job!!! Also, great price!!! read more

We have used T & M Tree Service twice and they did a great job. The most important benefit to this company is that they are properly insured. They carry both liability and workmen's compensation. I don't want a tree trimmer with a chain saw up in my trees without proper insurance. They aren't the cheapest because they pay for their own insurance. None of the cheaper companies carried workmen's comp - and watch out for the local guy with the limit of liability clause in his contract. An injured worker making a claim on my homeowner's would cost me a lot more than paying T & M's higher cost. They are professionals - not just some guy with a chain saw. read more

I got 5 quotes to remove a tree. The price spread between the highest and the lowest (T&M) was $400. They were prompt in giving a quote. We set a date for the removal and they showed up as planned. They recommended rescheduling the job as we had just got 1" of rain and the yard would take a beating from the machinery. We rescheduled and they showed up and did a GREAT job. It was a 75' foot ash. They recommended taking down a cherry that was suffering. We did so to find that this trees center was completely eaten away by ants. Good call. We also had them trim up 3 larger trees and they now look awesome and I'm sure they will thrive. All there people were very pleasant to talk and deal with. They were conscientious about their job and really cleaned up the yard nicely. My neighbor came out and saw the work they had done and was impressed. She got a quote on the spot and ended up having a tree trimmed and another sizable one taken out. I have nothing but good things to say about the job they did and their staff. I will highly recommend them to anybody that asks. read more

I called about 10 different companies locally and decided to go with T&M. Todd came out and gave me a free quote and the price was very reasonable with very fast turnaround time. It took about 20 minutes to cut down a 35 foot tree and clear out the brush. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a tree/stump removal. read more

After I read all the great reviews, I decided to call T&M. I am so glad we did. They did an excellent job for us. We had a very large pine tree fall from a storm and they were out and had the tree off the fence and cut in about a half hour. Since they were so busy they came back to stump it and remove all the debris. They came back 2 days later and brought a whole crew, they cleaned everything up great and were very professional and nice. I would recommend them to anyone! Thanks guys! You made a very stressful situation turn out not so stressful! read more

I used T&M Tree Service to take down 6 large trees. I was really impressed with the size of the crew for the job and all the equipment they had. They did an excellent job and I was very happy with the cost. I would absolutely recommend T&M. read more

I have used T & M Tree Service in the past for tree trimming but recently bought a new house with a lot of "landscaping " to be done including the removal of some old trees. I reached out to T & M Tree Service from an old business card and Todd responded right away. He came out quickly to give me a GREAT estimate and his crew did all the work yesterday. Let me tell you, they were wonderful. They quickly got the work done, they were conscientious of not putting their machines on my neighbors grass and cleaned up everything before they left. I would highly recommend T& M Tree Service to anyone who wants a job well done at an extremely fair and reasonable price! read more

I contacted T&M and got a response the same day, and scheduled an appointment for a quote on the work to be done the following day. Two men came out and assessed the work and gave me a quote in writing on the spot; and I said YES on the spot because I knew the quote was reasonable and within my ballpark. On the appointment day, 3 trucks arrived and about 6 work men followed me into the yard to commence with the work. It was a big job. They had to remove part of my falling down fence in order to get on the other side where I have a utility easement. The crew swiftly cut and removed all the debris and removed a full truck of chippered wood pieces. The crew were great - polite - pleasant, and they even went out of their way to do me a favor and pull down a piece of a bough in my front yard (where they did not do any work). This work was done with spirit and on a very cold and blustery day. (The weather was crazy and wild.) My only comment for consideration is around the actual scheduling of the work. Scheduling the job was not difficult, but when I did not hear from them on a work date I called them 2 weeks later and was told they would be in my area that Saturday. I agreed on the date (three days later). I would call on this crew again and would not hesitate to recommend them based on their responsiveness, fair pricing, and overall professionalism. THANK YOU GUYS! read more

We had a good experience with T&M. They seemed to offer us good tree advice and were professional and careful in taking down some very large branches that weren't structurally sound anymore. They worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned everything up nicely afterwards. I saw their work in taking down some large trees next door as well and was equally impressed with the work I saw. read more

No need to look any further for quality and affordable tree service! Out of several estimates for removal of two pine trees and their stumps, T&M was the lowest estimate by hundreds. More important than their price, though, was their service! On the scheduled day, half a dozen men and an equal number of trucks and machines showed up to take care of the trees. I watched them work the entire time and was impressed and delighted with their efficiency and camaraderie. Like a well oiled machine, the guys got down to business, each knowing precisely their role and when to perform it--no time was wasted. From my perspective, these guys have been working with each other for years! Not only did they work synchronously, but they also seemed to enjoy it! They laughed and joked with each other while working. I love seeing people enjoying their work, and I believe happy employees are effective employees. The crew cleaned up everything afterwards. We couldn't be happier. They were professional, masterful, and respectful. Thank you so much! We will always recommend T&M! read more

Left a message for Todd on a Friday regarding removal of a tree in our back yard. He returned the call that evening. He said he would stop by the following week to give us an estimate. Called him again the following Friday and left a message asking if he had been out and when he would be giving us the estimate. Gave him 1 more try the following Tuesday leaving yet another message. To date I still have never heard back from him. To me this shows lack of professionalism and a company that you cannot rely on or trust. Needless to say we went with another company and they did a great job, in fact we ended up paying to have 2 trees removed. I guess Todd did not need the business. I would not recommend T&M at all, if they can't communicate with potential customers how can you trust them to do a decent job? read more

We received a few estimates for removal of 3 pine tress, each over 35' tall in our front yard. By far, T&M was the best quote for the actual trees removal, stump grinding and clean up. They arrived on time and the entire job was completed in about an hour!! Amazing. Everyone involved was very nice and courteous. They were even willing to negotiate the final price with us. Would highly recommend this tree service. read more

We called for a quote and Todd was there quickly to give us what we believed to be a fair price. He told me that the work would be completed within 10 days. When I did not hear from him within 3 weeks, I contacted him again. He had the work scheduled for the following week. His crew showed up when they said they would, performed the work and a little bit extra - mulching some bushes that I had taken down myself and set by the curb for pick up. When I thanked the man for mulching it for me, he responded "that's what you get for being our customer." Other than the initial wait, I have no concerns. They did the job professionally, quickly and cleaned up the yard better than they found it. read more

This testimonial comes to expose the less than amicable side of T & M Tree Service. I had used this company one time before to take down a tree of 50ft tall for $450. It took multiple hours with a substantial crew and was done successfully. This time, while they were already on the premises of my neighbor's extensive job I asked for a price on some few trees branches to be cut back and a couple small shrub stumps leveled. The first amount quoted was $400, with rebuttal, it was lowered to $295. The crew supervisor could not give me an estimate on how long it might take to better determine a fair price. Additionally this supervisor was repeatedly rude and unprofessional in his interaction, by walking away and ignoring my repeated attempts to discuss specifically what I wanted cut. His first shot at the task was haphazard and did not include the overhang from above that I indicated. He became gruff and mumbled complaints when the error was pointed out to him. Ultimately, the task took 35 minutes to cut about 10 branches that were left with splintered ends due to his thrashing through the work. This lazy man had to be asked to use his extended length Stihl saw to do what I requested. He called my attention to talk at me by saying "hey, hey". And, the cleanup was not thoroughly done. As a result, I decided to pay $100 less than the scam price. I contacted the owner TB, and from my report, he replied that what I'd paid was, quote, "more than fair" for the way that the supervisor behaved. The owner added that this was not the first complaint about that supervisor's appalling behavior as he had been on some sort of probation so TB offered apologies. When I challenged the inflated price he proceeded to share the unnecessary details of his business expenses for equipment-wages, blah, blah, blah, in an attempt to justify 35 minutes of work. Considering that these expenses were already covered by the neighbor's contractual job, he was firm that the "more than fair" price I paid would be granted no refunds. TB is able to do the math fairly on whole trees but practices price gouging otherwise. As for the owner's repeat offender supervisor, I suppose some businesses appreciate an individual that can bring the revenue at any cost. Because TB was disgruntled with my review to the BBB, he has yet to send himself to clean up the residual branches as was promised in an email. His emails further indicated that he is most concerned with his ignorant supervisor's welfare in being suspended than a repeated customer receiving suitable work for a reasonable price and to be treated with respect. I'm not sure if this lapse in consideration is a consequence of my gender or my ethnicity but it is wrong, so women and others, BEWARE! read more
