Follow up on the business's response. 1. They decided to doxx me which shows their true ethics. 2. I told them I was traveling this weekend and can't pay bills after 6pm on a Friday while our of town without any pictures of proof that work Is completed. 3. My objection was to not being able to use a secured website and being forced to provide a credit card number to someone who is very hostile on the phone. 4. They demanded immediate payment with 3.5% debit card fee which doesn't leave me an option to pay by a check even though their invoice states 5 day grace period. Original review: The office staff was rude and unprofessional. The lady called me while I was out of town and immediately started arguing with me, demanding I pay them right away without any proof that the work was even done. They run everything like it's still 2005 -- they can't even send a simple link to pay with a credit card. They also charge a 3.5% fee for using a credit card, but that fee doesn't even show up on the receipt. Pretty scammy if you ask me. read more

Company was hired to cut trees across the street from me. Continuously blocked the entire street and even had a 100+ ft pine tree fall across the street and onto my yard. Claimed it was an accident however saw no safety equipment used to make sure they could control where the trees fell. Employees also would continuously stare at me in an attempt to intimidate me on my own block. Very unprofessional and sloppy at best. read more

He gave me a quote and I paid the deposit. I did inform my neighbor I hired someone to come out and trim the tree. I had no idea the neighbor was having the tree trimmed on the same day Lopez was coming to trim the tree. Lopez never gave me a scheduled date to have the tree trimmed, the workers just showed up, but did not complete the job because other workers were there. No work was done by Lopez Tree Service! My husband and I walk around our neighborhood and saw a Lopez Tree Service working on a person yard. They trimmed all their bushes and trees. Excellent work. So my husband and I called Lopez Tree Service. The receptionist answered and took down our information that we needed our pine tree, 2 Japanese maples 1 red maple 2 viburnum bushes trimmed and 1 Ash parkway tree. Mr. Oliverio Lopez (owner) came and provided an written estimate. They were able to get us in the next day, Saturday. They arrived 8:00am. sharp. Completed cutting, and trimming within 2-hours including cleaning up! They were very reasonable priced and crew was professional and courteous! We had this company remove 3 trees for us. They did a very nice job, one of the trees was a huge birch close to and overhanging the house. The house did not suffer a scratch, the saw man made cuts that safely felled tree branches and eventually the trunk safely. This included pulling it with thick ropes to guide it where it would not damage house or deck. They have some nice equipment (stumper and chipper) and their trucks look maintained pretty well, unlike some competitors. Prices were competitive, in fact, one "arborist" we got a quote from was more than double Lopez's quote. But that guy was our highest bid... Glad we hired Lopez, and would do it again if we need their services in the future. read more

I used Lopez tree service this week. I called repeatedly for an estimate to get three trees trimmed. The owner finally came out and gave a $2,000. estimate saying he was going to initially charge $2,400 and $2,000 was a good deal. He went do $1,800. I agreed to service, signed contract was not contacted again for 3 weeks when the owner called asking if they could come out that morning. I stated it was last minute and we agreed the following week specifically Wednesday or Saturday.. he contacted me on Thursday saying they could come over within one hour. One hour turned into several hours. They trimmed the trees and when mentioned wanting a few more branches cut that were hanging over neighbors fence the owner became very argumentative with me and my husband. I do not recommend this company due to the owner and crew not being customer oriented or friendly. When mentioned the other branches they blamed us. I will never use them again as there are too many other companies to choose from. Gave one star only because you have to rate true rating is zero stars. read more

For the first time in my life I felt the need to leave a review... They showed up to our home when we weren't home and performed services that were not asked for. Then tried charging us for the work. They repeatedly show up unannounced. When I caught them, I told them the service wasn't asked for and they needed to leave. They tried demanding payment and didn't want to leave until they received it. For the times the work was scheduled, they were late or cancelled last minute only to complete days later. Finally, they cut the grass last week and it looked terrible. Only for me to have to redo it myself. Completely unreliable service and would NOT recommend to worst enemy! read more

It was in a large tree and in bit of a tricky spot due to proximity to power lines but Oliverio was able to provide two options for removal that other companies had not (removing a potion of our fence or getting permission from the neighbors to take their truck on their yard). These options made it easier/safer for them, more convenient for us, and a faster turnaround overall. We were very impressed with the quality of work and price. I recently had 11 trees trimmed by Lopez tree service and they did an excellent. They were thorough, careful, and did a very good job. The crew was completely professional and the price was very reasonable. 3 of the trees are very large and we're trimmed using a bucket lift while 2 additional tall trees in the back yard were handled by a crew member who climbed. Today a junk who knows what tree in back corner of lot. 50'+ tall over power lines, neighbors homes/property + 3 branches off another tree in front. Cleaned up, hauled away, stump ground. They came out for an estimate same day, and then came out to do the job right away. The workers were courteous and professional, and after hauling the branches away, they even cleaned up the yard with rakes and leaf blowers. It looks great! They took down two large pines and a maple. All over 40 years old. They did a fantastic job. Felled the trees in safe areas. Ground up everything but the largest logs. Ground the stumps down 2' for me to replant as the pines were in areas that had landscaping based on the original trees. Blew the lawn, driveway and street clean. Outside of machinery tracks, which are not deep, you wouldn't know they were here. Extremely pleased with their work. read more

We have used Lopez for Fall and Spring clean ups for several years. This spring we had to have a tree removed that was too close to the house and over 30 feet tall. I came home form work to find that the tree was gone, the house and yard were in perfect condition, and I would not have ever noticed that they had been there at all except for the airy look of the side of the house. If I could give them minus stars I would. I used them for years to trim trees and had no problem. Contracted them to remove two trees from my front yard and they destroyed my lawn, the grass in the parkway and a great deal if my landscape. I have huge holes throughout my front yard. No effort was made to lessen the impact of the removal. I will need to spend $100s to fix what they did. To make matters worse, they let us know that they sell sod! Never again! read more

My husband had scheduled a work from home day until noon, but they showed up on time with a crew of six men and they had the tree down in minutes. The tree was maybe 40 ft tall. This company came out 3 weeks ago and gave me a quote on trimming trees around our yard. The quote was for $500 and they had me sign a contract and gave me a copy and promised they would be out within a week to do the job. Aidan, the owners son was who gave me the quote and promised they would be there. It was important to me because we were having a party in 9 days and I wanted the yard to look neat. Well they still haven't shown up and it has been 3 weeks. I called, texted, left at least 7-8 messages and have never heard back. I would never do business w a company like this. read more

We were recommended Lopez by our neighbour a few years back. For some reason the name stuck with me, and we finally called them this week. Mr Lopez himself came out the following day, quickly walked the property and gave me a good quote on 5 fellings and 5 prunings. I accepted, and they came out the same week. They arrived around 3 pm and left around 8 pm. There was some misunderstanding between the crew, but when that was pointed out, they were back out to correct it the same evening. My only comment would be that it would have been nice if he gave a call ahead of time to say they were on their way, instead I saw a truck pull up on my lawn and several others on the road around my house. But since I had said I was flexible with the hours, it was not the end of the world. They did an excellent job cleaning up as well. All in all, I will be calling them first again, should we ever need any more trees pruned or felled. On a side note, they do accept credit cards with a 3% surcharge. read more
