Three neighbors and I had work done yesterday by Vidito and all couldn't be more pleased! They are efficient and professional in every way. I was so impressed by the care they took of my property by covering landscape lighting with cones and grass with plywood and moving furniture & large planters. Although my yard was hard to reach with large machinery, they managed to go up and over the house with the cherry picker and then proceeded to climb the two trees needing (MUCH) trimming. I was especially impressed to watch the owner instruct what appeared to be a new younger worker. This may sound corny but as I sat behind my large kitchen windows watching the way they maneuvered each branch so as not to come crashing into my kitchen, it reminded me of a ballet! I have used Vidito Tree Experts for well over 40 years. I have never once been disappointed. They have pruned trees and removed trees from tight precarious locations with never a mishap. One year they cleared out all the buck thorns from a front island of trees. They clean up all debris and usually leave things in better condition; this year they blew out gutters while cleaning debris off the roof. They are always punctual, and usually early. This company was cutting down large trees in the neighbors yard. They asked if they could come across our driveway. We said yes but when we saw the truck we asked how much it weighed. They said 11,000 pounds (or did he say 19,000?) We said no, it was too much weight and our driveway was only 4 years old. Did not want the risk of any damage. They coped an attitude. Came in between the houses and over the edge of our side walk. Two days later, there is a crack. I took a video the day before and pictures when i saw the crack. What really steamed me was that because we said no, the older man with the white hair made snide remarks about our driveway, saying it did not look new and some of the others were asking each other why they could not have access because they do it all the time. It seems like they were more concerned about making it easier for themselves than any concerns (rightfully so) that we had. We did not hire them. But their insults and damage were free. read more

We needed some serious tree work done. A decent sized dead ash, a Siberian elm that needed trimming, and a huge sugar maple that we were pretty sure was mostly hollow. Animals went in and out of it, it had lost a huge branch, it was leaking sap, and something had excavated a lot of pulp out of it. We got a tree guy when we built the house, nice enough, but there was a lot of sloppiness, even some damage. The village of Westmont used Vidito a lot, and we watched them take down the dead trees on our parkway, so we went with them. The owner came out, gave everything a good look, gave me an estimate that was in line with what I was expecting. We just had to wait for the right day, maybe a little colder, so the frozen lawn wouldn't get too ripped up. Sizable crew, started roughly on time, and everything was done efficiently and perfectly. All nice guys, and the owner personally supervised the whole day. They were careful about my wife's baby pine tree, and even the birch right next to the huge tree barely took a hit. They had to work between that birch, my house, and the neighbor's flock of Rose of Sharon. I was positive something would get crushed, but nothing. They put down lots of plywood to limit the impact on the lawn, which definitely shows some wear, but there was a lot of equipment, and it was a lot less tread than I expected. Every time they prepared to take down a large chunk (of what turned out to be a half-hollow tree), they calculated what they were doing, where the thing was going to go, how they'd lower it on ropes, stuff you'd think would be expected (but I've seen other guys chainsaw and hope for the best). It all went the way they planned. They cleaned up the site beautifully, left me a bunch of firewood, and when they saw me carting mulch from the grinded stump to the back of my yard, they helped out with that too. Overall, this was a cost-effective, great outcome. They know their stuff, and they obviously hire well too. Between this, the parkway, and everything else I've heard about these guys, I highly recommend Vidito. read more

The Vidito family of tree experts gets my highest rating. I'm just a normal guy who stumbled upon them after I fired my nationally recognized tree service. I'd used the previous service providers for years, but they did not seem to respect my property often breaking landscape lights and the like while felling branches etc. The straw that broke the camel's back was dropping a 75# tree limb onto the top of my home spa/cover, requiring the replacement of the $600 cover. Can't say enough good things about these guys. I got 3 quotes and they were the best by far. They came out and took down 3 cottonwood trees that were 60 feet tall. Between two houses and power lines. All of the crew were extremely nice and friendly. They were even great in letting my two year old check out their trucks. That goes a long way. The guys cared more about my grass than I did, laying plywood for the trucks and pulling any divots out after. This is the second time we have used the fine folks at Vidito Tree Experts to deal with tree problems. This time it was a very old (100+ years) oak tree and to trim a number of widow-makers from above our deck. We have extensive gardens and called Vidito because we knew they would take great care to not damage our plantings and would do a good job a clean-up. Their unofficial motto is to do the job as if it was Grandma's house. The oak tree was overhanging the garage and the house. They brought in a boom truck and took it down piece by piece without letting anything drop and cause damage to the roofs or the driveway. A second boom truck came in over the gardens into the back yard to trim above the deck. Again, no damage to the gardens or the lawn and they picked up every branch, twig and leaf.
