They came out the next day to give an estimate for removing tons of branches from two trees I cut down. Unfortunately, it was higher than I could afford at the time but I really appreciated the quick turn around. Marco was willing to negotiate a bit and we used thier services. They did a great job and had the job complete before some companies were even able to come by and give an estimate. Would use this company again. read more

Great experience! I will be calling Marco and his crew again. They were honest, reasonable and cleaned up perfectly before they left our yard. read more

I had a negative experience with this company. Several of the workers did a great job of removing the tree limbs from my yard. There was one worker who did not remove some of the tree debris. I contacted the man in charge of the project (who did not stay to oversee the work) my complaint about the unfinished work. He was unprofessional and combative. He refused to come back and hung up on me. I would not recommend this company. read more

I've hired Lyons Tree Service a couple of times, they are very reliable and prompt with their responses. They did an amazing job with the tree trimming and cleanup in my backyard. Ray and Marko were very friendly, and knowledgeable. They always give us a great price and continue to exceed our expectations. I definitely recommend them to anyone that is looking for tree removal, trimming, cleanup, and any other tree related services. read more

I JUST had 4 bushes and a tree removed. I called Wednesday. Someone stopped by Saturday to take a look, called that day with an estimate. We set Thursday between 8-9 they arrived at 8. 3 guys started. Within 20 min bushes where down and shredded. The tree came down in another 15 min. 2 more guys arrived with the grinding equipment. Cleanup and shredding happened while they ground the stumps (making replanting possible). They where done completely in 1.5hrs -- friendly, efficient, courteous and really affordable. read more

just had a tree cut down in oak park... they did an awesome job! thanks lyons tree service!

Total pros. I shopped around and very competitive on price. Very easy to work with and super happy with the results.

If I can give anything less than 1 star I would. They quoted me for a tree removal gave a date of when they would and get the permit and then heard nothing back from them. I emailed and called them and no response, completely ghosted. read more

I had a great experience with Marco and his crew. They were on time, communicated regularly (via text which is important when you are in meetings all day) and got the job done perfectly. They removed two trees (one large) and trimmed our giant tree out back. They cleaned up and even came by after hours to collect payment so I didn't have to take time off work. We're so glad we found them!! Thank you!! read more

Marko and his team did an amazing job removing my very large dead elm tree. I called for a free quote and Marko came out that day and left the quote in my mailbox. His team showed up on time and got to work quickly. Would recommend this company to family and friends. read more

Prompt response, competitive pricing, professional tree removal. Not a guy in a truck kind of operation. I had a 40' tall tree by my house cut and stump removed in less than 2 hours. They had the right equipment and manpower for the job and worked very efficiently and showed up as scheduled. I would use and recommend them again. read more

I had a very negative experience with Lyons Tree Service in Darian. Last October, 2021, I hired them to take down some dead and dying trees on my property and paid them $2500 for the service. I should have been more aware of some initial red flags such as not marking or identifying the trees to be cut down and no paper work or receipt connected to the job. After they left I noticed that the crew had cut down two large trees but didn't remove the cut up logs which were lying were the trees fell. I contacted Marco and he texted me back saying he would send some guys out in a day or two. After no follow up and numerous promises from my texts over the 7 months the logs were still sitting, waiting to be removed. I lost faith in Marco because of his empty promises and was tired of looking at a bunch of logs in my yard that I had no option but to hire a landscape company at my expense to remove the many logs. It was a very frustrating experience dealing with a company and employees who didn't stand behind their reputation and continually gave empty promises. I would not recommend Lyons Tree Service to anyone. There are so many ethical tree companies in the area that do the work they're hired to do. I had never used Lyons Tree Service before but was influenced by the Yelp reviews. I would never use them again!!! read more

These guys were awesome they came out early cut my massive maple down and ground the stump in six hours they were fast and efficient and priced very reasonably I highly recommend these guys they know what they're doing and super safe and reliable!! read more

Last year my wife and I decided that we were done struggling to rack the teeny-tiny leaves and clear the gutters of same-said leaves from our giant honey locust tree in the side yard. So, on the recommendation of a friend, we called Marko at Lyons Tree Service. Not only did Marko get back to us right away, communicate well throughout the process, quote us a great price, and schedule the removal quickly, he and his crew came in and removed the tree (and, seriously, this was one big tree - still not sure how they do it)! Just what you'd expect, right? Right. But all too often in this world, we don't get what we expect or pay for. So it's nice to know there are honest and capable service people like Marko and the crew at Lyons Tree Service in business. Call them for your tree removal needs. You won't be sorry. Called this company to remove a tree from my grandfather backyard after a bad storm on February 20th. The tree fell onto the electrical lines and Comed removed the part of the tree that was dangerous, then we called the Lyons tree service. They promptly came to my family's yard in Berwyn. They safely removed the tree and told us they would be back for the stump later in the week when the ground was dry. We were charged $700 for the removal which took 10 mins. It is now April 27th and someone from our family talked with a man from the company at least 5 times in the past month saying that would come to remove this stump. They never showed up to remove this stump from the backyard and will not return our calls. This company is very unprofessional. My grandfather is a senior and can not pay someone else to remove this stump. Please do not use this business!!! read more

Marko came out and trimmed our silver maple, which is not a particularly valuable tree and grew up wild on our property. But he and his crew trimmed it very nicely and made it a graceful addition to our property. They cleaned up quickly and thoroughly and the price was reasonable. We also drove to the yard on Lawndale and picked up some firewood at a reasonable price. read more

Lyons did a great job trimming our trees. They were quick to respond to our initial inquiry and came out to complete the work the same week. The trees look much healthier and safer with the dead branches removed. The crew cleaned up everything and were very efficient with the work. We also called many companies for quotes and Lyons was very reasonably priced and could fit us in their schedule in a quick timeframe. We have recommended them to several family and friends and they have also used them and had great experiences as well. Thank you!!! read more

I set up an appointment to have some one come out. When no one showed up I called and was told he would check into it and call me right back. I never got a call back and when I tried to call multiple times in the next few hours no one answered. Here it is the next day with no call still. My time was completely wasted. read more

I almost never write reviews. I'm making an exception because I was so pleased with this company. We needed to get a large silver maple down in preparation for the construction of a new garage. I called or contacted four different tree services. One, Haney and Sons' was unhelpful. They said it would take 4-6 weeks before they could get to it. Davis Tree Service said it would take 5-7 days just to get an estimate. Brookfield Tree Service was willing to do it but after the initial contact, it was very hard to get in touch with the main guy (Peter). Marko with Lyons Tree Service came over soon after I called, gave me an estimate, said to let him know once the old garage was down so they could better access the tree. Once the old garage was down they came within two days. They trimmed a few other overgrown trees while they were here for a modest additional amount. They cleaned up thoroughly. I was very pleased. read more

Marko looked at my concerns with several trees on my property & gave me an estimate, working within my budget. Price was very reasonable. Very professional taking great care trimming & cleaning up. I've used Lyons Tree Service twice and have been very pleased with their work. Marko quickly came out to my house to provide a quote both times. Their pricing is very competitive and scheduling is very quick & accommodating. I highly recommend Lyons Tree Service. read more

Highly professional, hardworking crew which brought about outstanding results trimming my American Linden and River Birch. The owner, Marko, is courteous, outgoing and strives hard to please. Two of my neighbors hired them for trimming in their yards after watching them work. read more

I was told on 3 different occasions that they would be out to perform the service that was quoted to me. They only did not show up, they did not even have the courtesy to contact me and let me know. Horrible communication, and not very professional. Do not recommend. read more

We had the company remove a large tree from our yard in October 2016, and paid in full. Payment price included stump removal - the crew could not complete that the same day as the tree removal and promised to come back promptly to remove the stump. We have been calling for 6 months now - occasionally, we are able to speak with Marco, who has made multiple promises to come out and remove the stump, but continues to fail to do so. Looking at these reviews and at the BBB, it seems like this is something that he has done before. DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY. We have been more than reasonable in our attempts to resolve this matter, but they have been completely unprofessional and we still have a large stump in our yard. read more

Marko called me promptly and came out and gave me an estimate which i thought was very reasonable. They removed a tree from my back yard which was growing around the power lines and did a terrific job. The workers were courteous and hard working and very knowledgeable about their job. They cleaned up afterwards in my yard and the neighbors yard, would highly recommend them, thank you. read more

My parkway tree was removed by Lyons Tree Service. I didn't have to pay for the removal -- the City of Berwyn did. These men are obviously very experienced in tree removal and very conscientious. Not only did they remove a 50 foot tree (I think - might have been taller) in a very short period of time, they cleaned up all the assorted debris that goes with a tree removal. Chipped most of the branches (filled two fairly large trucks) and came back a couple of days later to take the big trunks away. Returned yet the next day to remove the stump. Spread the material from the stump as a mulch, leaving the area treeless, but looking really nice. Couldn't have asked for more. If I ever need to hire a tree removal service, this will be the company (helps that they're local as well). read more

Very great and reasonable:). The work that was done was completed in a very timely manner and very professional manner. Price was outstanding for the work and completion of the job that was asked. Went above and beyond customer satisfaction to ensure that I was in complete satisfaction of the work provided. Estimate Price was way below of other asking prices!!! I would refer this tree service to any and all that are in need of any tree removale , or any other type of landscaping. Very impressed by this hard working crew. Would recommend to all that I know who need exceptional work done for a low out of pocket cost. read more

Berwyn contracts with Lyons to trim trees. A neighbor called and asked that the tree next door to mine be trimmed. So Lyons Tree Service came out and trimmed my, yes my tree to a height of approximately 20 feet. They scalped it. Maybe it will die since they removed over half the foliage. An online site says a mature tree should not have over 1/4 of the foliage removed. I believe they did a horrible job. Neighbors are commiserating with me over the trimming job. I used to have a beautiful tree. I feel it has been massacred. Several neighbors will attend the next city council meetings to complain. Will this company pay for my higher electric bill to cool my house without the shade? I feel like I have lost a family member after almost 40 years. Yes, they did trim the tree next door. I tried to keep them from ruining my tree, but they kept right on going. All the stories they and their office gave me were bull. read more
