Gross is exactly how I felt after leaving this dealership and buying my car. Makes it hard to enjoy my new purchase. Bickered over every little dollar in the negotiation process and the finance guy was a complete snake. Never experienced this before when buying a car. Watch their sneaky behavior in getting your money!! And when you give pushback you're met with frustration, manipulation and high pressure. Then they made a huge mistake after everything was signed and somehow blamed us! They are lucky they were the only ones who had it in stock! Stay away whatever you do and wait for a dealer trade to get your car elsewhere please read more

I bought my Volvo S60 there for a decent price, but I will never go to their shop again for repairs. I had a Small, simple recall on door latches, I took it there to get them fixed and all was good for a couple days. Now as I shut my door you can tell there is something loose, but also my door handle gets stuck which doesn't allow me to shut my door. It was a simple fix but they seemed to have made it worse. I also had a check engine light problem that they said they "fixed" and 20 minutes after I left the dealership the light came back on. I don't regret buying my car there, but will not service my car there. read more

I had to block their number. Kept calling about a car I was supposedly asking them about. After numerous attempts to get them to stop calling, and that I was not looking for a car, I finally had to block the number. read more

Do not have anything serviced at this place. They are awful. They don't know what they are doing. They should not be a certified Lincoln repair center. We have been more than patient with all the mistakes on ordering parts and not having time to fix our car. After having our car for 10 days, it never was fixed correctly and after taking it to another dealership to have it fixed we find out there are all kinds of parts missing and they messed up the turbo on the car also. Do not use this place you will regret it if you do!!! read more

I have bought 3 vehicles from this location, one when it was owned by Suds, one when it was owned by Grossinger, and now one under the latest owners. These owners have made improvements. I worked with Brayden to find my car, and he was knowledgeable, professional, and very pleasant to work with. The paperwork signing process went more smoothly this time than my previous 2 times. The updated/expanded building is comfortable. I won't hesitate to go back. read more

This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Beware purchasing any vehicles from here they do not inspect them and sold me a car that had a known air conditioner leak. Called within the first few days of purchasing and manager Andre never called me back after several messages. They do not care about you just a getting a sale! Beware! read more

They had know trouble taking 170 .00 for doing nothing, car they were suppose to fix acted up again a mile from the place

I had an awful experience at this dealership this last week. First, I viewed the dealer website and found a car I liked for 47,420. It was a 2021 Audi A5 Sportback. MSRP was around 55,000. After I told them I wanted the car, they called me back about an hour later and said there was a computer glitch and the internet price was wrong and they were selling it for MSRP. After we haggled a little bit they only came down to 52,500 for a demo vehicle that had a little over 5,000 miles on it. I asked for all the numbers ahead of time but didn't get them presented to me until I drove 4 hours to pick up the car on Saturday. Then they presented me with a 6.75 interest rate for 84 months even though I have a 741 credit score and even though the Audi site has much lower rates on their website - https://www.audiusa.com/.../shopping.../special-offers.html# . I called a credit union today and they told me with my credit score I could get 3.9% APR for 84 months if I used them so I will be getting a different car loan it looks like. Do not trust this dealership. read more

If you're looking for the worst possible customer experience, please head to Audi Bloomington Normal right away! Spoke with Brett Herrin last evening - we agreed on price and financing. I told him I'll be driving from almost 4 hours away and want no surprises - he assured me he'll have the car ready and have it marked as "sold". Cut to today and 2.5 hours into my trip, I get a call from James Navarro saying that car has been sold and there's nothing they can do about it. Brett refused to answer my calls and I couldn't reach their general managers (Victor Malkom, Jose Chavez) either because they were conveniently "unavailable". I requested James to sell me another comparable vehicle they have in their inventory for the same price and he refused that too. Left them an email and haven't heard back on that either. I cleared my day to make this trip and am left with just a ton of frustration and disappointment. Why would you do this to me Audi Bloomington Normal? What did I ever do to you? I agreed to your quoted price and yet you treat me like this. You could've just told me you didn't want my business and I would've gone away. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing experience - I would give zero stars if I could! read more

I'm excited to see what the new building will look like. I no longer work there anymore, but they have great people there. I recently bought my second car over there and I absolutely love my new Audi A4. They have come a long way from the previous owners a few years ago. These guys actually care. I went to buy a VW beetle convertiable. Made the deal and paid my deposit. I tried calling the next day and they wouldn't return my calls. They lied to me, cashed my deposit. I called the dealership they said I was getting my car from and they said they never had that car. I called and cancelled my order and I wanted my deposit back. They said it would be 7 to 10 days. NEVER go to this dealership again. If you do go fact check everything they tell you. Worst experience ever. read more

Last month I purchased a new BRZ from Bloomington auto mall. I received quotes from numerous other dealerships in Illinois and Indiana. Bloomington auto mall's starting price was a little high. After negotiations, they gave me a very good price. My local dealership's rock bottom price was significantly higher. The vehicle I wanted was in Chicago. After i made a deposit they very quickly got the vehicle. As I was not trading in, the salesman, Brayden personally drove to Champaign and picked me up. Overall very happy with my purchase and the dealership. Brayden was very helpful and not at all pushy. read more

Horrible place to go for a vehicle. This is my first time writing a review but I don't want people going through what I did. Have been having problems with my car since I got it 8 months ago.The people that work here DON'T care about you. They always have new people working which is a red flag. They ALWAYS have attitudes.Had a flat tire and had to call five times and no one ever called me back. Left voicemails and kept getting the run around asking about my warranty.Started calling them when they opened at 9am and they ignored me and no one returned my calls. I will drive to Peoria for any future work. I have been told from other car care centers around the area that they hear these reviews about this establishment all the time. They don't care about their customers it's disgusting. read more

Yesterday I walked around the front corner of the lot looking at Subarus---Right in front of the showroom. I was there for over a half an hour peering into the windows of the cars. I noticed three different "salespeople" watching me from inside the showroom. Nobody ever came out. So, I left. Maybe the Subaru dealerships in Peoria and Champaign want to sell me a car. What a bunch of clowns. read more

The salesperson I was assigned was poor. He didn't ask questions about my needs and had very little knowledge. I went back in a week to look at a specific car (one I had looked at the week before with the same salesperson). I went to the sales manager to ask for assistance. He assigned me to the same salesperson. I didn't want to be a pain, so I went ahead and worked with him. I asked to test drive the vehicle. I tested everything I knew and looked at everything I could. The vehicle seemed good. I asked to take it to a 3rd party automotive shop for an inspection - if it checked out good, I would purchase. They agreed (saleperson and the manager). I lined it up for the next day, in the afternoon - they knew the day/time/place. The next day, a few hours before the inspection, the salesperson called me to tell me they had sold the car! Talk about unethical! We basically had a deal in place and they couldn't hold off a few hours for me to have it inspected. Pitiful. Unethical. Would recommend you steer clear of this place. read more

I have to agree with the very poor customer service reviews. We made an appt. and drove 50 miles to check out a car we had seen online. We asked to test drive the car but they wouldn't let us drive the car unless we could say we were willing to buy the car at the advertised price. Although the posted closing time was 9 pm, they said they were closing at 8 pm and there wasn't time for us to test drive the car unless we were going to buy it. I wouldn't waste my time to check out a car at that dealer again! read more

I am disappointed how long we had to wait on a person when we had a appointment. They really need better customer service. I have been in service business for over 30 years so I get it. I also understand commission. Leasing a car should never take 2 days and a lot of interruptions. They are nice but need more training on customer service. read more

I leased my beautiful 2018 Mercedes Benz recently from Grossinger Motors. From the moment I walked into the dealership, I could see and feel a difference. Everyone was smiling. These people seemed to actually enjoy being there. My salesman, Cordale Davis, was awesome! We clicked immediately and he really worked to get me an amazing deal! I also have to thank the Finance Manager, Adam Broadus, who answered all of my questions completely and to my satisfaction. Also, when my car was driven out front by their detailer, Chris, it sparkled like a gem! Chris is a true perfectionist! If you are in the market for a new car, you need to head to Grossinger Motors and ask for Cordale. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! read more

A few weeks ago, I left the dealership feeling very proud of my new car purchase. This was after being in leased vehicles for 6 years following my divorce, to be able to purchase to own a new 2019 VW Jetta for myself and my daughter. I actually had a car deal almost closed with another dealership in town. However, I needed to meet with my car salesman at Grossinger's to finalize how turning in my leased vehicle would end. I was two months away from the end of the lease. During negotiation, if I simply turned in my leased vehicle, I would have 3 charges totaling $1,100.00. These were for a disposition fee, a charge for going 2,000 miles over the lease, and the remaining two car payments. The salesman negotiated that if I stayed with VW and went with a new Jetta (or other VW vehicle), these fees would be absorbed and I would NOT have to pay these charges. I would be eligible for a "VW" loyalty program. I asked him specifically, more than once, if I should wait 2 months so as not to have to pay the last two car payments. He said no. Those could be "waived". As far as the over-mileage, I was told I would get dealership "forgiveness" since I would be buying from them again. (I was also told by a different sales person a couple months prior that I could receive dealership "forgiveness" on the over mileage if I purchased a new vehicle from the dealership when I had stopped in for a service call). Low and behold, on day 30 now of owning my car, I received an invoice from Corporate VW for over $800.00 to pay for the mileage overage fee and the remaining two car payments. When I was crunching my numbers and working with my credit union on the car loan, I determined I could put an additional $800 towards my down payment to help bring my monthly payment down. If I knew I was going to be hit with these charges after the fact, and still be expected to pay out, I would have just gone with the other car at the other dealership with an HONEST salesman who offered a very competitive deal for a comparable car. I also would have had the extra $800 in reserve in my savings to pay towards these final charges. When I called my salesman at Grossinger's today to ask why I received this invoice, I was told I "misunderstood" him during negotiations and that he "discounted" the new car to offset these fees from the leased vehicle. Funny, the timing of finding this out, is now after I've had the car for 30 days and have no recourse. It's also after receiving some email requests to complete a survey on my salesman which at the time, and happy with my car sale, I gave high remarks. I am a Project Manager and Bookkeeper by trade for a local equipment company for 10 years. I diligently review details that involve numbers, contracts, for my living etc. I did not misunderstand the salesman when he said on 3 different occasions, that the 3 fees involved with turning the leased car in would be absorbed in the sale of the new car. I was bold faced lied to. The sale of this car feels tainted to me now. This situation is causing unnecessary financial strain and duress. I have nothing good to say about the salesman who scammed me into this car sale. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone for a car sales from the VW department. Everything that would make a woman fearful or apprehensive of having a car salesman use sketchy sales tactics just to secure his own sale rings true here in every sense. Beyond shocked and disgusted how this sale actually has gone down. read more

Their attitude plunged the moment I agreed to buy the car. Bad experience making the deal with them. Before I bought the car, the sales person offered to have somebody drive my old car back home while I drive the new car. After I signed the paperwork, she said there is nobody available anymore. They put the wrong home address in the system, I pointed it out and they said it doesn't matter. Well it does. I received a mail from the loan company only because the mailman was kind and smart enough! read more

They ordered the wrong part for my car which set the repair back a week. They then could not finish the job on the day they said they would be able to and did not even bother calling me to say it would not be done. I then drove all the way to their location to pick up my vehicle and waited for half an hour before being told that 5 more labor hours were still needed on my vehicle. I needed the vehicle for a trip early the next morning and would have appreciated a least a little bit of notice or a call before I drove out that they would not be done working it. They were then unable to provide me with a loaner car. Very unhappy. I have been using Suds for years with very few problems and it is sad to see the low quality of the new management. I'll be taking my future business elsewhere. read more

I traded and bought a used car, They didn't disclose all the faults in the car and when I got home it didn't lock, There were couple more flaws which they said they will fix. Salesman went back and forth and I called like 20+ times, No response - They kept saying we will fix it. After I spoke to the manager, I was told I have to pay for the repair and also for the stuff which I was told would be dealer's responsibility, I don't think they stand by the quality of vehicles they sell. After I paid for the repairs, The service guy told me he will give me 2 keys instead of 1. I just started driving a Subaru that I bought in the Chicago suburbs as a pre-owned certified model. I wish I could've found the used model I was looking for at Grossinger, but that didn't work out. What has really worked out well is going to them for service. They have exceeded my expectations! They have Subaru mechanics that are passionate about Subaru and own them personally! I am beginning to understand why Subaru has developed the car sub-culture that it has. If you drive a Subaru I would encourage you to take it to Grossinger in Normal and talk to the mechanics there. You will be happy to have them working on your Subaru! read more

Absolutely the worst service I have ever experienced in 48 years of driving cars. Actually I'd have to say they provided the worst service I've ever experienced of any kind. Constant lies, then when called out about them it was treated as a joke. After five years of Audi ownership, I had to give it up due to horrible service. If I move away from Bloomington, I'll probably go back to an Audi or maybe a Mercedes. But I can't have these idiots touch my car. If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

I purchased a 2015 Subaru from Grossinger in mid-July. Simply put, these folks (especially Tom G.) were outstanding to deal with. My husband and I just purchased a Subaru Sport Impreza from this dealership and they made the entire process easy and stress free. This was our first new car purchase and they were extremely attentive and helpful with our questions. While they didn't have the exact car we wanted on their lot, they went out and found the car and got it for us. We personally worked with Scotty and he was so helpful! He was extremely patient and kind and was very sensitive to our needs. Since we live quite a distance from the dealership, Scotty and Eddie were gracious enough to drive the car up north for the sale. At the end we got a beautiful car at a great deal with very little stress! I would definitely consider going back here for our next car. read more

Not a bad experience. Not really much to say other than the pricing seemed high for the work that was done. I bought my first Subaru here Sept 2016 in Normal. Came here because of my dealings with a prior Ford purchase at the dealer in Peoria who is also the Subaru dealer. They didn't care about me after I purchased the Ford C-Max lemon there. So no more repeat business from me.Yea if " they wouldn't sell it to family they wouldn't sell it to you" Be glad you're not family! I got a great trade in deal from Sam at Grossinger. Of course it took a lot of back and forth with him. He super low balled me first as they all usually do but I hung in there and he came around. They didn't have the Cross trek in stock I wanted but went to Chicago the next day and got me one. Andy was my salesman and was great. He has since left. I had a good experience and Jami was wonderful to work with. I even called service with a question and they put a tech on the phone with me to answer my question. He was very polite and caring and said to call anytime and ask for him! I can't believe all the negative reviews. So i see all the bad reviews and ive gotta say i have a hard time saying anything bad about the current Grossinger. I know they have changed ownership recently and i think that might be a reason. Ive also heard bad things about the old dealership. Ive bought 3 cars from here in the last 2 yrs. Every time i buy a car Jaime in finance always makes sure i get the BEST deal. She is fantastic! Also i bought a subaru w/a manual trans last year and 3 months later the clutch went out. I didnt have a warranty but they covered about 80% of the repair cost to make it right and really didnt have to do it. Everyone is real nice to us anytime we stop in even tho im covered in tattoos and look like i cant afford shit. Id suggest if you had a bad experience before, maybe stop in again and see what they can do for you. Tell jaime, chad ramsay sent you. I promise she will be on your side. read more

Took a week to get an appointment for brakes and an electrical issue with my Lincoln. Two days later I called inquire on progress and had to ask for a loaner. I signed the loaner form, and later noticed I was driving their VW but the papers said I was given an Audi. I called and they said "oops". I was given a phone number to text or call with questions; no one seemed to respond to either. Days went by, no updates other than Lincoln service guy didn't come in, now they are ordering a part. After 10 days (10!) I called and asked to speak with a manager; no response. The next day I got a text saying they didn't get the part; I suspect it had never been ordered. Meanwhile I am driving around a loaner without paperwork to support that. Did not enjoy driving the VW at all. After 18 days I finally got my car back, $2700 bill; no apologies on what took so long, no thanks for being so patient. Terrible customer service and I suspect I got hosed on repairs, but after that experience I just wanted to get my car back and get the heck out of there. read more

I had the worst buying experience at Grossinger. My sales person was nice, but had to google facts about my cars I was test driving. That I could forgive. After some back and forth and finally agreeing on a price, I waited over 4 hours to sign paper work. Paperwork only took about 20 minutes. Fast forward a week and I am told that I need to return to the dealership because they never asked for/ received my down payment. I had to make a special trip down to do so because I live in Peoria. Fast forward 4 more weeks and I get a call that my paperwork was not done properly and I was going to need to make another special trip to sign a document they forgot about. So I make another special trip and sign the documents. Another week later I get the call that they waited too long to file my paperwork and I have to resign everything again. I am furious at this point. The financing woman offered to meet me in Peoria so that I don't have to make another special trip. I go to the meeting place and she is over 20 minutes late. And the Financing rep doesn't even show. They sent one of the young men from their service shop with my personal and financial information. I do not know this person. I call the financing rep who promises me some sort of repayment for my time and understanding if I sign. After this incident I made a point to go to the dealership and talk to the manager, SAM BOGOFF and told him about my experience. He seemed genuinely concerned, and again offered to compensate me for my time and trouble that they had caused. Another couple weeks later I still had not heard from the company until I am told I need to sign and drive yet another document to the financial institution that gave me my car loan. I refused to sign until I heard from SAM BOGOFF who immediately called and again promised compensation that never came through. So to recap, I bough a car in September and didn't have any official paperwork or make a single payment until January. I had to make multiple special trips to fix their mistakes and was offered no sort of compensation. Shady company with shady practices. I would never recommend them to anyone else. Think twice before buying a car here. read more
