When signing all the paperwork the guy was only interested in selling extended warranty. I didn't know exact payment until I left and looked myself. I traded in a truck I bought for a van on 12/31/2025. Sales guy, Austin was good. When I purchased, the finance manager, Alex, talked me into adding some warranties by saying "you can cancel them if you change your mind", and convinced me I should just do it for peace of mind. Perhaps it is on me for not asking more specifics, especially because all the numbers he stated were rounded, but after research decided I did not want 2 of the 4 that I added initially. So I called Friday Jan. 2, was told I would get a call back, and did not. I did this again on Jan. 3rd, Jan. 5th, and Jan. 6th and each time they told me I would get a call back, and not once did I.I had to reach out to my sales guy to get someone to talk to me. My issue is not the poor customer service, but that I went back to the dealer, met with Alex, who then told me I could not cancel the warranties I added because they "were integrated into the deal", and there was "nothing he could do". I was fine to accept poor customer service, but after being mislead and tricked into spending extra money, I cannot stress how I will be telling anyone who I hear is purchasing a car to avoid the Sam Leman name at all costs. A good initial experience has been ruined, and I will make it a point to never return any business sales or service here. read more

I've been a Leman's customer for a few years and while the buying process was a great experience, the Service Dept has gone downhill. I left a Google review for my previous experience where I explained that when I get my car serviced, they usually give a report of anything that needs attention - and I didn't get one at that time. They contacted me with an apology. On my most recent visit, I requested a 60K mile service. I did say that I didn't want my tires rotated because someone else takes care of that. I got an oil change. That's it. Considering the number of reminders Chevy sends about regular service, you'd think they could get this right. As far as I know, a 60K service should include oil and filter change (which is what I got), fluid checks, brake inspection, battery check, air filter replacement, and a bunch of other inspections. Yes, I could have questioned this at the time, but the person in the office was engaged in rude, loud banter with a customer who he obviously knew, proudly and loudly proclaiming "Last time he came in, someone submitted a negative review". It was just loud, brash, and unnecessary. I think I'll be seeking an independent service provider after this. You lost me, Leman's read more

The salesman, Brian Dietzler, was very kind and understanding and worked with me to purchase a vehicle when my previous vehicle was totaled (at another drivers fault). I just got a vehicle there last week and when taking a second look at paperwork we signed, the price that I got the car for ended up being $3k over what we had agreed upon! When I asked why the price was more than we agreed upon the finance team said that they added warranties to my purchase. When I asked for proof of the warranties I got no response and still have not. Double check the paper work before you sign here. They're out to get people after you think you can trust them. Save your money and time and look elsewhere. I'm not happy and am filing with BBB to ensure no one else gets ripped off by these people!! BEWARE!! This dealer specializes in selling Lemon Law vehicles. I was duped. Was very excited to find that they had multiple Chevy Tahoes with all the options I was looking for, at a good price. Spoke with Tom for multiple days about this vehicle and asked about it's title (which I was told was clean and accident free), however, they failed to disclose that this was a certified Lemon Law vehicle. I then drove 8 hours to pick up the vehicle, only to find a huge yellow Lemon Law sticker in the driver door. The value of this vehicle was severely diminished due to this lemon certification....a quick value search revealed that the value was $27k less than I was about to pay them for it (and I almost got swindled into purchasing it without knowing that). The vehicle was not cleaned, had scratches all over, and didn't smell good. Overall was a terrible waste of everyone's time. Do your Research and ask about its lemon Status. Would not recommend doing business with this dealer! Find a reputable Chevrolet dealer. read more

The woman who works at the front desk will argue with you when you say your car has an issue and refuse to help that was of course until my warranty was up and she magically was able to find the issue that I brought up MULTIPLE times before the warranty was up. 0/10 would NEVER recommend this place. read more

I talked to them to see if they could help me and they said without buying the warranty they can't help. Pretty much telling me sorry bout ya, we already got your money, you're stuck with it now. The sales department does not appear to value post-sale customer satisfaction when serious recalls occur with Chevrolet products (flammable battery in Bolt). Even a fake "I'm sorry this happened and we will do our best to address the issue" would go a long way. I have driven Chevrolets almost exclusively since I began driving, but my experience at this dealership has soured my view of the brand. Sadly, my next car will not be a Chevrolet. read more

I had THE WORST experience in the service department that I have ever had. I would give them ZERO stars. From the first phone call to schedule a service. I needed maintenance on my specialty vehicle that I just took out of storage. I also wanted them to look into why the dashboard lights were sporadically working. I am still in shock at the brash rudeness by the service staff from start to finish. I left shaking my head, almost in tears. I was charged $100 to diagnose, and was told they couldn't do anything. AND, they didn't even courtesy wash the car before I picked it up. The shuttle vehicle was dirty and smelled so bad of smoke. However, the morning shuttle driver made my day and left a smile on my face. I will never go there, ever again. Nor, would I ever recommend this place to anyone of my friends, family, or a stranger. Purchased an SUV in February of this year.Was deceptively sold the vehicle, as my salesman Shale admitted he was ignorant with regard to the condition of the vehicle and its status as a buyback vehicle. The vehicle completely broke down by March after my family spent $90K at this establishment. Troy and Rich in service were very rude and aggressive in their treatment of me, as documented on TikTok, calling me a liar about the car having issues and refusing service to us with no legitimate basis. They are now only offering to fix a car that has been deemed unfixable or trading the vehicle in at market value while acknowledging they sold us a lemon...a family with 4 young children. This facility is engaging in predatory lending practices and has been very unwilling to fix what they know was deceptive in the first place. I bought a car from here 02/09/24 55k mile Chevy volt 2017 certified pre owned vehicle "went through a 172 step service". Check engine light came on 02/24/24 13 days and less then 500 miles later. Put my obII sensor on it powertrain failure. Thing happen mistakes get made and I am an understanding person. So I email the sales member who worked with me told him what was up. They talked to their manager who's response was "that's fine". They suggested I drive the vehicle to them for service or call Chevy roadside assistance to tow it to a closer Chevy dealer. That was it nothing else no sorry, no offer to help get it taken care of nothing. I attached some photos one of the codes thrown, one of a rodent chewed wire shield that must have been missed in the 172 step service. Went OK at first... UPDATE- Everything went fine at first, however, 2 months later and I severely regret dealing with this dealer/salesman. Andy, my salesperson, seemed alright, typically nice, relatable, however emitted trace amounts of passive-aggressiveness while talking about the deal. My step dad noticed he had to walk away a lot when asked different questions. Despite these, possible foreshadowing, behaviors, I bought the car. the finance man Cody did a great job and absolutely enjoyed working with him. In the end, I was promised 3 paint chip repairs(Used 2018 vehicle) and an oil change(see "1st Off"). Seems easy, right? Well, I thought so too. 1st off- I was told that that car had just had an oil change. I arrowed over to the "Oil Life Monitor" section of the vehicle while test driving, 30%. Andy sees, and offers a free oil change the next time I am down. Alright, all is good. I will just take a day off work to drive 1.25 hours to Bloomington for an oil change and the aforementioned paint repair. The deal finishes and I leave happy with my (practically) brand new car. 2nd off- I try to get ahold of Andy to schedule an appointment for the oil change, paint, and some warranty work that I needed done at the time. I text him 4 weeks out from the date, asking if that day was alright. 1 week goes by. Nothing. I then text the(maybe?) manager that I am still waiting on a response. I need to know because I have to request off work by the next two days. Finally, I get a response saying that that day would be perfect. I also get told that they would be happy to look into the issue and look at fixing it. At this point, I am feeling a little unnerved by how carelessly my time was wasted at that point. I quickly brush it off, as, hey, everyone gets busy. 3rd off- Andy calls and says that the paint guy is ready for me and to head up. I start heading down that way. I fire up my car and make the 1.25 hour trek back up to Bloomington. I get there, Andy says to go ahead and pull up and he'll get in. I jump back in my car and head up front to pick him up. We come around to the "paint shop," which consisted of a guy working out of a Dodge Grand Caravan. Andy proceeds to ask about how many chips I needed fixed. I tell him of three bad spots I wanted fixed. I was then told "Hold on, bud. We can't fix all of those, you WERE the one that BOUGHT a USED car." I was absolutely FLABBERGASTED. Yes, I bought a used car from YOU. To which I am entitled 3 dings being fixed. That is what was on the contract that we both signed. It is downright disrespectful to talk to a customer like that! If I was going to be reprimanded for spending $14k at a dealership, then I wouldn't have bought the car. Hold on, it gets better. I leave the car there, walk into the lobby for approx. 7 minutes, I see my car pull up. "All done," I get told. I was taken aback, what kind of quality paint job takes 7 minutes? Well, one that lacks just that- quality. I go out and the car has the chips fixed with, what looks like, the quality of a paint pen. I drove over an hour to Bloomington when I could've purchased a paint pen for $15 and saved myself the time and money of making a trip up there. If I would've known that was all that would be done, I would've never asked for paint chip fix, I would've asked for a free paint pen. But it is alright, I still have the free oil change and the warranty repair, right? Nope, wrong again 4th off- I ask about the warranty service and oil change, Andy says that he made no appointment for either, so I wasn't able to get service that day. 5th off- The warranty work was a leak in the trunk. The car is covered under the manufacturer 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. He offered the "solution" of BUYING myself my own silicone, DISASSEMBLING part of my trunk, and FILLING the hole where the water was getting in at the tail light. Absolutely. Insane. I can hardly believe my ears! How could you not stand behind a product that I purchased from you less than 2 months ago? Are customers that do business with you suddenly chopped liver once you got your money? I, later, took the car to my local trusted dealer, which informed me that the trunk liner had a defect from factory and required replacement. A complete different diagnosis than Leman's gave. I wanted to use Leman for any future purchases, I can confidently say that I no longer am considering that. I was not expecting to drive off the lot and receive little to no support for my vehicle. I can no longer recommend this dealer and will absolutely not recommend ANYONE to do business here, especially if they are wanting someone to stand behind the product they sell. read more

I am extremely dissatisfied with the service department for failing to do an adequate inspection on a dodge journey back in May. There were transmission issues, exhaust issues, and issues with the mounts to stabilize the car. If the technician was thorough on the inspection I would never would have purchased the car. Then comes the finance department which tried to scam me out of buying a extended warranty promising a better interest rate if I did. Total BS, banks do not care if you get extended warranty or not. My rating is for the service department. The car I purchased had 3 recalls. I scheduled to get my car to get the recall serviced. I dropped the car off when they opened but didn't get it back until right before they closed. When I got in my car, I noticed the check engine light was on. My car was driving poorly too. When I got home, my car would not start. I called the car dealership but the service department was already closed. I asked if I could at least leave a message so it's documented. After sitting all night, my car finally started. When I talked with the person at the service center, she began with the, "Well, I don't know what we could have done." BS. You don't have to admit fault right away but don't start by dismissing it. I went home and waited...and waited. I got a voicemail from one of the mechanics about the issue. He said they forgot to connect a sensor. I had to come here for two other recalls. This time it didn't take quite as long to complete. I got in my car and noticed the check engine light was on again! Since the place was still open I went inside to tell them about it. I was met with skepticism from some young girl working there. She acted like I was trying to make something up. They took my car back in to look at it. I tried to tell the girl that something similar happened last time. It finally occurred to me that I still had the voicemail from last time. I played it for her just to prove my point. She disappeared for a while. While I was standing in there waiting, she came back in. She started talking to another employee. I could hear her whispering about me. I was getting very annoyed. They brought my car back out and claimed they just needed to reset the sensors. The only good thing I have found about the service department are the older gentlemen who do the driving service. They are friendly and pleasant to talk with. read more
