They offer drinks to you as well which was a nice touch. I worked with Suzi Williams directly and she is absolutely amazing. So very sweet and easy to work with. She really listened to what I wanted, and didn't pressure me into any decision which I thought was very nice. She even gave her personal cell and wants me to call her if anything is wrong with my new Jeep! She said this is a relationship for life and not just during the car buying experience. Do NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership or get any service work done. Daughter's car went in for service in October and they recommended replacing 2 tires. Replaced tires since she lives in St Louis and wanted to make sure vehicle was maintained before winter. They ordered wrong size tires and still put them on vehicle. Luckily, we noticed wrong size as soon as picked up vehicle, as she was driving back to St Louis that day, and found a more reputable shop back in St Louis. Oh, they also damaged tire sensor. Currently, husbands new 2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee has been in service for a month, due to a battery that won't keep its charge. They have no clue what is going on and was advised they will keep the vehicle until they can resolve issue. So, could be another month or longer.... read more

Took my truck there because of a engine coolant smell in the cab. They said it was the cap to the coolant reservoir cap. Finally got that changed after they ordered the wrong part. searched all websites and drove over an hour to Bloomington. Jaylen was awesome through the whole buying process! We needed a truck with a hitch and low miles. Looking at used. We found a "used"one with 12 miles, but no hitch. checked with parts and they gave us info for the one we needed. Decided to buy a hitch closer to home.Found out the info they gave us was the WRONG one. Glad I didn't spend the non refundable non returnable $ on a hitch that the parts dept suggested. With spending almost $45000 I feel they could've put a hitch on for us. But overall experience with Jaylen was top notch! If i could give zero stars i would. i truly regret purchasing my vehicle here. although denise (sales person) was excellent and kind that's the only good thing i can say about this dealership. -this dealership had me waiting 3 hours to see my car although i had made an appointment. as i sat in the chair waiting for hours to purchase my car, my phone had died. it was the end of the night because of how long everything took and i had signed off on all paperwork to purchase. after reviewing the paperwork the next day i realized (because i had a screenshot that i took on my way to purchase the vehicle) that the dealership had upped the sales price 800 dollars while i was sitting there waiting to purchase that vehicle!! (thankfully i noticed this and called. former manager honored the price) this was my first red flag here. -6 months in and it's time for my first oil change, BMW dealership tells me that my car needs new tires asap!! so this dealership sold me a car with old tires. and finally, mikayla the finance manager is quick to sell and pressure purchasing of warranties and even says they can be cancelled. but when someone wants to cancel she does not follow up at all! i thought one of my warranties was cancelled a month ago when i talked to her over the phone and filled out the cancellation form. one month later, I call to follow up and find out that she never even sent the cancellation through and to make matters even worse she doesn't bother to respond to voicemails or emails at all. extremely unprofessional, money hungry dealership who does not care about its customers :/ read more

I just went in to buy a Jeep Compass. I was quoted a price of 32 something. I did a test drive and said I would buy the thing. The price they came out with was 37 something. I said WHAT? The first thing they told me is that they had to charge me 1500 more because I was paying cash. At that point I got up and left. when buying they take you in a small room for the warranty add ons and the horrible woman mikayla pressures you into buying even after you repeatedly say no. you buy just to get out of there after 6 hours. and if you need service getting a loaner car is a joke, they take you to enterprise and give you no info on when anything will be done or when to bring the car back. Pretty frustrated with this dealership. We agreed on numbers and had a deal in place but timing didnt work out to pick up the vehicle today. We bought a car from Sam Leman CDJR earlier this year and were very happy with our experience. We are from the Chicago Suburbs and went to a few dealerships locally looking for a specific vehicle. We really like one we found but actually walked away from it because we couldn't stand the high-pressure sales tactics being used. Shortly after walking away from that deal, we saw Same Leman had 4 different vehicles on their online inventory that we liked, spread amongst a few of their stores. I reached out online and was promptly contacted by Anthony. He was able to get all of the vehicles onto one lot so we could view them side by side. Absolutely the worst automotive service department in town. I've tried to make this place work for me, since they're less than two miles from where I work. I keep thinking how convenient it would be to drop my Jeep off on my way to work, and trust everything will be taken care of for me to pickup on my way home. I've had multiple situations where I've had to return for the same issue, had several discussions with the service managers, and ultimately regretted taking my vehicle to Sam Leman. I love my Jeep, but I'm finding someone else to service it from now on... and when I buy a new Jeep, I'm willing to go out of state if necessary to avoid Sam Leman. read more

Have you ever been to Ed Debevic's or Dick's Last Resort? You personally choose these places for their crude form of service as well as belittling comments. But when I purchased my vehicle I was never told that the dealership was one of those GAG type establishments. See there is a real significant difference between dropping $50.00 on dinner for an hour or two experience, and/or purchasing a vehicle for $24,000.00 and then having to deal with this form of service for the length you own your vehicle. From the individual required to fill the coffee pot to the owner himself they are all arrogant,condescending, belittling and crude individuals who do not value your business, your satisfaction, your life, or/even your vehicle. If you raise a valid reason with evidence, their owner will come out or get on the phone and talk over you the entire time while he pretty much tells you to F*** Off, Take your vehicle elsewhere and/or the best one I don't like you. I bought my car on 8/19/20. I have had issues since I drove it off the lot. One being my sunroof broke the first time I opened it. It would not close had to force close it. I went and took it back to the dealership and they saw it wasn't working so they sent me over to Sam Leman ford I go there and then they send me to the body shop great. Months later finally get into body shop. They had my car for three days. Didn't call me or nothing I go there to pick it up and they didn't even fix it or anything. They said couldn't be fixed or it would break the whole glass. Ok but you had it all this time I was without a car for that long no phone call or anything an it's not fixed. They said if they would've removed the glass the glass would have shattered so they just didn't do anything with that well my thing is if it was going to do that don't they have insurance to be able to replace it. So then months later still not fixed no one will touch it. When I bought the car they said it has new tires on it ok great. Now I had to get new tires oh an I have 2 bent rims and ball joints are bad. Ball joint 2 bent wheels Control arm $906.49 Wheels 1800 a piece. They sold me a car that is not good, needed work done to it but didn't say anything to me. Never buy a car from there. read more

The worst customer service experience I've ever had! Below is a timeline of the issues I have had with both Sam Leman and Chrysler: 1.  Year 1 - I buy a vehicle with a lifetime power train warranty from Sam Leman. 2.  Year 5 - I get a 5-year vehicle inspection at Sam Leman. 3.  Year 10 - I get a 10-year vehicle inspection at Sam Leman. 4.  Year 13 - I get work done at Sam Leman that IS covered under warranty. 5.  Year 15 - I bring the vehicle to Sam Leman to get some work done AND the 15-year inspection. a.  Sam Leman, tells me there is nothing that they can do, the warranty is void. Sam Leman is unwilling to help resolve this issue. b.  Chrysler says the warranty is void because there was never a 10-year inspection. c.  I contact Sam Leman to get the 10-year inspection paperwork. d.  I submit the 10-year paperwork to Chrysler. e.  Chrysler has the audacity to claim that they will reinstate the warranty as long as I get a 15-year inspection AND pay for any repairs. f. I respond via email that it isn't acceptable to make me pay for their mistake. I call and talk to a rep who says that my case is being handled by a specialist, but they are an email-only department. That's right not even the Chrylser rep can talk to this specialist. g. 3 weeks have passed and they still aren't responding to my email, my vehicle is still leaking fluid in my garage and I have no way to communicate with this so-called specialist as long as they continue to ignore my email. I will be buying a new car at this point and it will definitely not be through Sam Leman. read more

They were friendly and easy to work with, however when it came down to working the numbers they severely under valued our trade-in...at an insulting level. I worked with Brandon Baker there a few years ago when I bought my mazda CX-9. Brandon was an awesome sales man, not overly pushy and gave you time to pick the car thats best for you and not pull the whole "I know someone else is looking at it" trick. a few years later I contact him about my simonize not looking as nice as I expect it to a few years later. Without question Brandon took it upon himself to get that all taken care of, he called me the next business day and told me to bring it in, and he'd take care of it. Diagnostic place said it was a $2500 fix and the problem had been previously known and the code was reset to mask the problem. My girlfriend would call and ask questions and they'd give her the run around. I'd call and they'd start removing costs. I had a engine replaced by this dealer 6/7 mos ago...It has been in my local twice since then...the first issue was that I could smell anti freeze every time I stopped my car...the dealer near me found out that clamps we either never put on or fell off etc...I had to pay $185 diagnostic fee at my local dealer for them to find this error and this dealer only offered to pay half of the diagnostic fee...now my ac is not blowing cold(supposedly it should have been drained when they did the motor and refilled)...this dealer has to charge it with a special dye to see if there is any leaks because they don't know(they didnt see any issues)...another $600 costs...Let's see if they are willing to step up and reimburse me in full for this bill. I also have a crack in a pvc pipe which caused a vacuum leak which is why my check engine light came on. If the dealer chooses not reimburse me my next step will be the BBB and anyone else that will listen to me!!!! read more

I recently experienced a problem on the interstate when passing throurgh Bloomington and managed to find the closest dealer, which was Sam Leman chrysler jeep Dodge Ram. Robb Gibbens checked me in and said he would do everything he could do to get the issue diagnosed and a repair scheduled. The diagnosis was done more quickly than expected and the repair was completed at what I felt was a very reasonable price. They had us back on the road within a couple of hours, which was great considering I had no appointment and we still had another 9 hours to travel to get home. We needed emergency warranty work done on our Chrysler Town and Country van while traveling. We pulled in close to closing time. The staff accommodated us with a rental van so we could continue our travels. Though it took a few days to get the necessary parts we were able to pick up a week later on our way back through Bloomington. If I could give them 0 stars I would. My boyfriend recently bought a Jeep here and I cannot even explain how horrible the customer service has been. A day after bringing home the Jeep he noticed a horrible squeak coming from the car and the dealership has told him multiple times that it's "tire hum". Keep in mind we already own another Jeep Wrangler (which we bought from Morton) with large tires so we know that tire hum is not the case. He has taken it back over 5 times to get worked on and no work has happened. They refuse to fix it because the technicians haven't heard the squeak, only the representatives have. My bf called the other night to pick it up (we thought it had been worked on) and they told him that his father had picked it up. When in fact he hadn't, WTF?! One of my family members knows Benji Leman pretty well so we mentioned to the dealership that we would be calling him and they proceeded to FIGHT with my boyfriend after that. They are probably the worst dealership ever. I highly recommend going to any other dealership in town or Peoria. DO NOT BUY YOUR CAR HERE. read more

We bought our Jeep from the dealership a few years back. The salesman was helpful and we were happy with our purchase. However, we have since had nothing but problems from the service department. Even minor repairs and checks have resulted in long waits, repairs taking much longer than estimated, poor transportation, and non-responsive customer service. The last time we took the car in to get the window motor replaced, they left the car outside in a thunderstorm with all of our windows down. The leather interior was soaked. Had my husband not shown up during the incident, I fully believe that they intended to keep the car an extra day and dry it out without ever acknowledging the incident to us. While I enjoy driving my Jeep, the poor service at this dealership is enough to prevent me from ever buying another one. read more

Took my Jeep Wrangler in to Bloomington, IL location for A/C heater diagnosis. Immediately I was told by one Svc Advisor that they've been [really slow, no business and that it was a 'bad time' for business]. I've had A/C issues before & diagnosis if quick. After more than 2 hrs, seeing all other customers with more work done yet leaving, I asked again, what's taking so long. Advisor took me to Carl (Tech) & showed me a $1,500 quote. Not 1 thing had to do with my issue. Tech mentioned oil leakage from oil pan gasket from bad work at the Jeep dealership in Ponitac, IL, which I knew of. Then he said I have to have water pump replaced because it 'seems loose'. He also said there's oil leakage but he doesn't know where. He showed me the dirt around my engine before telling me all my coolant is missing & I obviously have a leak. Knowing I had full coolant & no issues just the day before & morning of (I checked my coolant when I checked windshield fluid) the day I took it in, I asked him why there was a 'mess' all over my coolant cap. Tech said he must've spilled a little when 'checking' the coolant level. I asked why he didn't just look at the reservoir & he had no answer. That's when I looked & it was gone. Very little sat at the bottom of overflow reservoir. I knew then that the crook drained my coolant. I asked if he did the diagnosis on the A/C Heater, the only reason I brought it in & he said [he would do the diagnosis after I have all the other work done bcuz it may 'fix' the heater problem!] LOL I left, paid nothing & will not pay anything bcuz he did not even do the diagnosis. I even told him to fill my coolant back up (I knew he'd drained it when he made a mess) but he did not. It was clear that he was just trying to make some quick cash. I was also told by a Svc Advisor that the tech get commission. I would bet $ that so many people are having some 'water pump' issues & strange 'leakage' problems these days although things just evaporate into the air. This guy is a crook & cannot be trusted. Too bad, because there are 2 Svc Advisors that are decent & honest & tell me when somebody lies to me. Skip this place unless you want to have work done that you don't need to have done. read more
