Over priced from the quote and when I refused extra service to replace cabin air filter they wouldn't put the old one back. Rotated tires and air pressures were off from each other by 10psi. Never coming back! I made the mistake of not calling Lighthouse GMC Buick first since Grimm could get me in same day! $200 cheaper there to get both Oil change and fuel filter replaced on my Sierra 2500HD! read more

The worst car buying experience of my life. This dealer sold me a lemon buy back vehicle / calling it a 'reacquired' vehicle. They did not explain or disclose that a 'reacquired' car is considered a lemon buy back by the rest of the auto industry and will be devalued by buyers and dealers everywhere for the life of the vehicle. I was not happy almost immediately with the vehicle and wanted to undo the deal and get my trade in returned. They refused to undo the deal and try to extort a vast amount of money from me to return my trade in. I refused to pay the ridiculous amount . I took the purchased vehicle to 3 different dealers to attempt to trade it , only to have all of them call it a lemon buy back vehicle. One dealer would not even take the vehicle, the other two discounted the value by $8000 to $9000 . Beware of this dealer using semantics to sell these 'lemon buy backs as reacquired ' vehicles without telling buyers the truth about their diminished value going forward - completely dishonest ! read more

My truck buying experience with Chris Riviera was top notch! I came in on a Saturday a half an hour before they closed to check out and test drive a truck. He stayed late to talk numbers with me. Once we came to an agreement with my trade we agreed I'd be back on Wednesday to pick it up and fill out paperwork. In the meantime he texted me pictures of my truck (I had graphics from the factory removed). And even lined up Mobile Shades to install window tint, which they were fantastic too! The whole buying experience was smooth, painless, and fast. Chris, I'll be back to purchase my next vehicle from you. read more

I live out of state and found the vehicle I wanted at Bob Grimm Chevrolet. I initially spoke to Kayla who was very helpful. Then Steve Rice handled my online purchase with Jim Martin ensuring all the paperwork was correct and completed. I didn't think I would get the vehicle until after the New Year. However, they made sure the vehicle was in my driveway within 7 days. Wow, very prompt and professional service from all who I encountered. The vehicle transporter was also outstanding. He took great care of my new (used) vehicle and insisted that I take $20.00 to have it cleaned on him. I highly recommend Bob Grimm Chevrolet for your new or used car needs. Totally satisfied! Service department can't handle high dollar trucks or equipment.. scary! Scheduled an appointment for oil change + tire rotation on a brand new 2022 1500 6.2L as i have reward points & get it free. I received a message from service department stating my chosen time had been spoken for and my appointment had been moved to 11:30. This message said nothing about how they won't rotate tires (But there is a note about it in their system, according to the manager) So I reschedule my jobs, I drive 30 minutes out of my way to bob grimm. I arrive and that's when they advise me they won't rotate my tires, because they DONT WANT THE LIABILITY OF DAMAGING THE WHEELS! Absolutely laughable.. So I guess I won't take the liability of walking in your doors ever again. WHY you may ask? They attempted to rotate the tires when the truck was getting its very first oil change(also free). Little to my knowledge, the tire shop I got my wheels from accidentally cross threaded one lug nut. No big deal, right? Wrong. The 2 kids in the lube shop could not get the nut off, I had to laugh it off and go out and show them what was wrong! Yes, I walked out in the shop after hearing the impact going constantly for probably 10 minutes. They just kept trying.. and trying... I said "you obviously need to use a breaker bar" and they did not even have one.. Wow. I told them i'll back my truck out and bust the lug off with my tools right now.. Nope can't do that either.. So they start putting all the lug nuts on as they're just going to give up. LOL! Now that i knew this problem, I said I am not leaving with my truck like this.. I am at the service department.. FIX IT PLEASE! So finally they called around and found a stud and replaced it for me the next day. If I didn't plead & then demand for this to happen, it never would have. I am currently in the market for another work truck.. but guess where I won't be looking.. Bob Grimm read more

Ive taken my Chevy truck there multiple times over the last several years because its close to out home. Every time I have been shocked and/or dismayed at how bad the service is. They never have parts, never have enough technicians, Ive seen service techs argue and fight in front of customers. They constantly claim they either can't replicate or dont have the parts when you have a maintenance issue. Ive stood in line and listened to customers complain with similar issues. They never have the same folks working so high turnover should of been my first clue. Most service takes several days or weeks unless you get an oil change. Whenever Ive had an issue, they always have some ridiculous excuse. I honestly dont know how they stay open. I will never be bringing a vehicle back there. Its worth the extra drive time to Bloomington or Pekin. I have a ford for my work car, and have never had it at that dealership for more then a day tops. This place should be avoided at all costs. read more

I drove a 115 miles because i could not find a new truck in my price range in my area. Bob Grimm had just that. Got a lot done online and on the phone, all I needed to do was get there approval for my trade in and I test drove the new Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. Cris Rivera handled my sale, was perfectly satisfied with the deal. Would go back. Mike read more

Great old school car dealership who operates in the modern world. Classy people and great service

Expect weeks for a maintenance appointment - not days - WEEKS, so if you actually need your car, don't waste your time. A critical requirement of car repair is trust, but when the service department intentionally refuses to answer questions honestly, or make any effort to make repairs in a timely or responsible manner. Their attitude toward customer service is embarrassingly pathetic. Do not waste your money on their overpriced bad service. Update: I find it humorous that Chuck H, who claims to be the owner, responded concerning a conversation of which he was not a party, and did not bother to speak with a rightly dissatisfied long time customer. Clearly proof of the poor service you can not only expect, but will then be defended. Upset yes! Because the employee repeatedly lied and refused to answer simple questions. Example: Did you bother to check with other Chevy dealers in the area for a common part on EVERY Chevrolet? Are you telling me this part does not exist anywhere in Illinois? Are you telling me when you ordered the part from Chicago, and promised it on Monday, they didn't bother to tell you they did not have one? btw I looked for Chevy parts on Amazon, and they had Chevy parts. The truth is, I was without a car for days, with no honest decent effort to find and replace the part - poor customer service. I called them on it and clearly Chuck is okay with bad customer service! Don't waste your money on this business! read more

I'd give 10 stars if I could! My husband & I had to take a trip from NW Montana to Bloomington, IL. Our 2001 GMC Duramax Diesel began having transmission issues on the way to Bloomington. Tried to get it fixed there, but people weren't very helpful. As the problem was intermittent, we decided to begin our trip back, and if it happened again, we would find a dealer on the way. Sure enough, within 10 mins being on the highway, it happened again. I checked dealers in the Peoria area, and this one had the best ratings, and with good reason. They helped to diagnose the problem, and got it fixed in about an. hour! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and everyone came over and wished us a safe trip home. Highly, highly recommend this service department! If their sales department is as good as their service, then this is an awesome dealership! If it weren't so far of a drive, we'd probably get our vehicles from them :) read more

We found the car we wanted on your website, called about, and drove about 90 minutes to get there. By the time we arrived, Steve had the car pulled inside for us and had plates on it ready for a test drive. We drove it, came back and about 20 minutes later we were on our way in a new vehicle! Great service, Easy to work. I would highly recommend them for your next vehicle purchase! read more

I've dealt with two other dealerships prior and was a bit tired at this point of them not listening to my needs and just wanting to put me in any car that they could. I came across Bob Grimm. Chris Riveria was my sales consultant and WOW what a wonderful experience from the time I drove on their lot until this very moment. I feel appreciated and confident about my decision to do business with them. Grimm is where it's at Thanks Chris. read more

We recently purchased a 2014 Subaru Outback from Rick Bauman at Bob Grimm and are very satisfied with our purchase. It was actually the best experience we have ever had at a car dealership. Very friendly and accommodating staff as well. Since we did not live in the area, we worked with Rick over the phone and through email a lot before driving in to look at the vehicle in person. It was everything Rick explained and more. If you are looking online for a vehicle, we highly recommend Rick. It was a pleasure doing business with him and Bob Grimm. read more

I worked with Chris Rivera at Bob Grimm Chevrolet to purchase my (new to me) Chrysler Pacifica - he made everything so incredibly easy. Everyone at the dealership that was involved in my car purchase was friendly, professional, and listened to my needs Mr Hart went beyond his duties to get the vehicle I was interested in. Mr. Martin walked us through the finalization process quickly and in a professional manner. I know there were many others involved behind the scenes that helped make my new car purchase successful. While car shopping online, the car that I've been looking for popped up and thank goodness it was at Bob Grimm! I am twenty-two years old and this was my first experience buying a car from a dealer. I was with my mother on the first visit and then my father returned with me to talk numbers. Everyone in the building was kind and courteous, especially Jon Ricketts, who we worked with personally. Jon always is straightforward, very knowledgeable, and helpful. Every person I encountered treated me as an adult, which was very appreciated. I'm proud to drive a vehicle from Bob Grimm and I will recommend this business to anyone! read more

They were very nice and not pushy. They were willing to work with me and did a good job reaching out and being transparent. Jon was great to work with in particular. This dealer is off the scale - very honest, straightforward, GREAT experience. I felt completely confident buying from them. They negotiated everything ONLINE with me, all I had to do was go there (I'm 3 hours away!), examine the car, and pay for it. Very quick, painless, GREAT price. If you buy a car from them, give them my name (Jen from Oak Park, IL). I'm very pleased with my purchase and with the overall experience. 8-13-2012 - They followed up via phone to make sure my check would clear the bank prior to depositing it. read more

I bought a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu less than 2 years ago. The car has been in the shop close to 18 times and I have been asking Bob Grimm to get me out of this vehicle. They said oh yes we can help you. Then when it came down to it, NUMEROUS times they said just give us a few more thousand dollars down and we can get you into the same type of car or we can make your payment higher with this car with more mileage or a cheaper car. I was even threatened by the owner if i went over his head that he wouldn't help and he was going to make sure of that. I called GM and it finally came down to Bob Grimm telling GM that, yes we gave him a chance for a buy back with trade. Yeah trade in for a junkier car with more mileage. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy a vehicle from them and people have asked about where to buy and I told them to stay far away from that dealership. I even had numerous problems with the service department. I have had it in for numerous noises and the car shutting off. I even had the service guy go with me and he got the noise and shaking and I got the car back a week later and told me nothing was wrong and they never found the problem. I have had numerous electrical problems too. read more

During a whirlwind of a week this dealership took great care of me. I wasn't expecting to have to look for a new car for a few more years but a deer took care of that decision. I ended up purchasing a certified used 2014 Chevy Cruz and the customer service provided by Rick and the team was phenomenal! I was in a tight spot and they were able to help me out. Rick was very friendly, personable, and easy to communicate with throughout the whole process. The financing department was even able to work with me as my insurance check for the down payment was slow moving. I was able to drive away in a car I love the same day my insurance company stopped paying for my rental vehicle. It was nice to be able to have everything happen so quickly just when I needed it.
