While in Illinois working for my cousins assisting with the Fall harvest, we were down for the…read moremorning thanks to a cold front that had brought a nice shower and even nicer cooler temperatures. My cousin asked me if I could drive their Chevy Camaro over here to get the back tires replaced. The tires were a special order and he had been notified that they had just come in. So of course I was more than happy to help out (did I mention it's a Camaro SS, ha!). I arrived at 8:30. The employee who checked me in was friendly and professional. He took my information and the keys to my car. Within 10 minutes they had the car in one of their work bays starting on the tire replacements. The waiting area was clean, consisting of 8 chairs in a "U" arrangement facing an HDTV. The showroom displayed the various tires they carried which included Michelin, Yokohama, Firestone, Uniroyal, and BF Goodrich - a nice selection and great quality tires. 30 minutes later the car was done, paperwork complete, keys returned, and I was back on the road. The bald tires had been replaced and the new BF Goodrich 275/40R20's tires looked and rode great (not to mention the safety factor). If you're in the market for new tires, I would recommend you check this place out.

I took my car to this place. From what I've heard from old townies it was a gas station about a…read morehundred years ago. It's really run down and there's hardly anywhere to park. I go in and ask for an ESTIMATE. Most mechanics I go to have me sign off a work order asking for an ESTIMATE. I didn't sign anything. I get a call about 8 hours later and the one guy who works there tells me he's going to come in tomorrow and keep looking for the problem. I get a call the next afternoon and he says he fixed it. I go in and I owe $250. Now I could have argued and said I just wanted an estimate but I didn't want a big blow up so I just paid it and left. I'm never going back there. Here I am a month later with $600 repair. If these clowns had given me a $250 estimate like what I wanted I would have junked it then because it's a crummy GM car. Now I'm stuck with no car and out $250. Watch out for these guys.

I have been going here for about 4-5 years for my car repairs, The gentlemen who own this aren't…read morefully up to date when it comes to customer service or keeping up with people, Their Lot is always full of random cars, but the gentlemen who work there just want to do their job, when you take away looking for a nice waiting room, or free anything, it's a nice plain auto shop, their prices are decent and they get the work done quickly, they aren't open on the weekend, but you can park your car there over the weekend and put the keys in their mailbox ( Beware: they claim nothing ) When I drop my car off, I call them about in about 3-4 hours and they usually have a quote for me, ( note.. I call them) yes they don't like it, but If I don't - I probably won't hear back until the next day. Best put, these guys aren't the best at running a business, but if you want your car fixed and don't want to pay an arm and a leg, they're a great solution.

She received the oil change but not the tire rotation, presumably because her appointment ran out of time since they also replaced her battery and performed a degrease and dye service. The battery replacement was done without attempting to charge it first and no consideration was taken into account the car has not been driven regularly, after all we are in the middle of winter in central Illinois, and she is 85. Fortunately, she declined an additional ~$500 of "preventative maintenance" services on her 10-year-old vehicle with 60,000 miles. One star was required to post this review otherwise there would be zero stars.
