While in Illinois working for my cousins assisting with the Fall harvest, we were down for the morning thanks to a cold front that had brought a nice shower and even nicer cooler temperatures. My cousin asked me if I could drive their Chevy Camaro over here to get the back tires replaced. The tires were a special order and he had been notified that they had just come in. So of course I was more than happy to help out (did I mention it's a Camaro SS, ha!). I arrived at 8:30. The employee who checked me in was friendly and professional. He took my information and the keys to my car. Within 10 minutes they had the car in one of their work bays starting on the tire replacements. The waiting area was clean, consisting of 8 chairs in a "U" arrangement facing an HDTV. The showroom displayed the various tires they carried which included Michelin, Yokohama, Firestone, Uniroyal, and BF Goodrich - a nice selection and great quality tires. 30 minutes later the car was done, paperwork complete, keys returned, and I was back on the road. The bald tires had been replaced and the new BF Goodrich 275/40R20's tires looked and rode great (not to mention the safety factor). I have been using this company for all my auto repair needs for 5 years now. The staff have been unfailingly honest and professional. Never up selling, and even telling me a few times the repair I was requesting was not necessary. I was requesting new brake pads and the mechanic told me I had a good six months left on the existing pads. What other shop would do this?! Also asked them to check my vehicle out before a trip once, and they informed me it was good to go and did not even charge me. Most shops would take advantage and find SOMETHING to repair! My tire pressure light kept clicking on and I was finally sick of filling up my tires that I was going to take it in. The place I went to before Peoria Tire told me I had to wait 4 days until they could see my car. I called Peoria Tire and they said they'd take a look right away. They got my car right in, told me there was a nail in the tire and they got it all patched up. I was in and out in less than an hour and it was only $35 for the repair. The only thing positive I can say about our experience getting new tires is the price. No alignment check before installing tires, was told it would take 1.5 hours and I'd have to make an appointment. I've purchased at least 12 sets of tires in my 70 years and in recent years alignment was checked and corrected before new tires were installed. The tech put numerous nicks on the wheels and there was sealant messes on the wheels and tires. There was a dallop of grease and sealant on the hood which resulted in a stain. Wheels were way over torqued, I needed my impact wrench to remove and torque to specs. Receipt was hand written, I guess they don't have a computer or printer. No warranty pamphlet, just the receipt. Might as well go to Wally World for this kind of professional service. read more

I have been using this company for 5 years now. Very honest and trustworthy. They are fast, professional and do great work. I requested my brake pads be replaced with an oil change and was told I had plenty of pad left and to wait about 6 months. Now what mechanic does that? There was also a time when I asked that my car be looked over before driving it to Chicago. They drove it around, told me it was fine, and did not charge me! I almost felt guilty. My tire went flat one time and I brought it in to have it replaced, fully expecting to pay full price. They came out and REMINDED ME about the warranty since I purchased the tires there and told me the tire would be covered and I only had to pay the labor charge of $20. These guys are amazing. I am a single mom and it is a blessing to know I can take my car in here and trust that if they say it needs done, well- it needs done! read more

When taking in your car for any kind of service, there is typically a fear of not knowing how you will be treated, what you will pay and what unknown surprises will be found. I cannot recommend this company enough. They are a true example of a family owned, ethically managed and customer service oriented shop. My only regret is that they are only in Peoria and not in my own town. I started sensing a noise occurring more frequently over the past month or so in our family SUV and when we drove to Peoria, it intensified. It was just a chirp, but seemed to occur only when hitting a decent bump so I was worried. They worked me into their schedule on short-notice, fully investigated the sound and even asked me if I would ride with the mechanic to ensure the noise was heard. We finally heard it. I made it clear that whatever needed to be fixed should be fixed. They assured me it was nothing with a safety concern and they weren't comfortable replacing any parts because the source of the noise was not certain. They could have easily told me I needed to replace the struts and i would have handed over the money. They were more concerned with fixing the problem correctly than moving me through the shop quickly. When I checked out, they were more than fair with price. If I lived here, I wouldn't go anywhere else. It was evident watching the mechanics in the garage working that they take their work seriously. It was evident from the culture that the people that worked there chose to work there. I highly recommend them. read more
