This is ridiculous. I bought an 84 month battery on 9/26/14 from them and it is now not starting at the 48month mark 7/31/18. The shop I took it to told me they want the business but that I could probably save money taking it back to them. When I called Nissan I was told it would be prorated but basically the parts and techs leave at 5. If their tater shows it needs to be harmed it must charge for an hour so I'd need to bring it by tomorrow when they had time. I understand wanting to get home, I do but to be basically be told you are SOL because we can't do everything we need to is frustrating. I've had to stay at jobs longer than I was supposed to and it sucked but it was my choice to work in a service environment. I'll never by another car from them because their service has gone to shit. And yes my last 3 cars came from there. read more

I had a very poor customer experience with Extreme Nissan, the salesman Hugo Bucio was very rude in his email communications and asked me quotes from other dealer to match it and called them directly to confirm and gave me incorrect quote in email so that I would come to his dealership and then told me it was for the used car not the new one. He also challenged me that I would not get a better deal than he gave just to persuade me to buy from him. I was completely flabbergasted looking at his customer service right from the beginning, even his Manager didn't bother to hear our problems and was least bothered. He just wasted my valuable time on the phone, on emails and in person - there was absolutely no transparency, no professionalism & no courtesy towards their customers. I would definitely not recommend this dealer to any of my friends, colleagues or family members in future as they are very poor in customer satisfaction. I don't mind paying more elsewhere for a better experience. read more

I recently purchased a used Nissan frontier, 2009 from O'Brien. about three weeks after I bought the vehicle it started making a terrible front end noise. I bought it as is, no warranty, but thought maybe I got screwed! I talked with the Nissan department manager Brian and brought the vehicle in for repair. I felt they had some responsibility even without a warranty, given the fact I had just purchased the vehicle with a clean carfax and dealership inspection The service department were excellent.....friendly, and helpful. The dealership paid half of the repair expense, which turned out to be a bad wheel bearing. I was happy with that and felt their willingness to work with me without obligation was good business practice. I wasn't very impressed with the young salesman who sold me the vehicle, Elijah. He was very friendly at the dealership but his follow up left something to be desired. He did his best to ignore me when my truck was in for repair, right after he sold it to me.Ha ha! All in all the experience was pretty good, given the reputation of car salesmen, which is " High pressure to sell you the car". I can't say O'Brien is better or worse than most car dealerships, but I was very impressed with their service department and the sales manager in working with me. read more

This is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with in my whole life. Not only did it take a month to close my account , mind you we have had this car for the whole month to them finally closing with a credit lender. I asked them not to run my credit so many times seven times. We also signed up to go through one credit lender to find out that we were signing with some buddy different , never even signed up for that . Ridiculous I will never use them again. read more

I give it a 1 star because you don't offer negative stars. By far the most crooked dealership I have ever dealt with! We went to Obrien nissan to buy a new Rouge and they didn't have any on there lot. So the salesman said they had some on the way to them and if I gave them $500 down they would hold it for me and if I didn't like it I would get my $500 back. When I got home I looked the paperwork over better and realized that they were changing $3800 over sticker price so I called the salesman and asked him why $3800 over sticker and he told me it was supply and demand and I told him it is price gouging and I won't do business with anyone who price gouges. I didn't get my $500 back as promised but I guess they need that to keep the doors open. Is it just seniors that they treat like that or is it everyone?? I just want everyone to know buyer be ware they are the crooedest outfit I have ever seen!! read more

They were polite but I spent over 3 hours getting my cooling system flushed and filled after asking to have the problem diagnosed. The flush and fill on my Infiniti had nothing to do with my actual problem. My actual problem also was not the other two things they thought it might be. I spent $141 bucks getting my coolant to minus 30 instead of minus 60. Then a follow up caller asked me about this and I was told "We'll note it for the future" I hope sales is better than service. I arrived at 720am. Left at 1050. Service guy said 10 more minutes every 10 minutes for a final 50 minutes. TV in the lounge didn't work. I drove 435 miles back to Tennessee with no heat. Edited this from 2 to 1 star. Infiniti got the whole thing covered under powertrain warranty so this was a total waste of my time and money. read more

Went in to get a second (re: dealer's) opinion on my car. I dropped my car off at 7am and despite their promises, there was no shuttle to take me to work. No biggie, I work three blocks away. Although I had an appointment in the afternoon, I called at 11 to check on the car. They took my name and number. Over two hours passed and they never called back. I called at 1:30 and expressed my frustration. Again, they took my name and number and emailed the person in the service shop. At 3:30 they finally called me and told me about my car. They said that the total cost for my repairs would be X amount. Fine with me. Then when I pick up my car, they disclose that they never told me about another, more costly part that had to be ordered. When I said that Walmart had the part in stock for significantly cheaper - which is true, it was just out of stock - the employee rudely told me to try to find a cheaper place, and that it couldn't be true. I canceled the part order right then and there. The cashier also gave me sass. Upon giving me the receipt for what I did buy, she said, "Here's the part should if you come back; if you come back." I told her I never plan on coming back. I went to a more trusted mechanic on the way home and was able to order the part for a fraction of the price and none of the hassle. I also shopped Extreme a year ago, and didn't pull the trigger on a purchase due to their inflated prices. Upon informing the salesman of this, he and the sales manager tried contacting me daily for two weeks. No joke. You're better off visiting the Nissan dealers in either Champaign or Joliet than dealing with this shady crew. read more

I went in to buy a vehicle at O'Brien Nissan of Bloomington, IL, after I was contacted by the dealer by Joshua Martinez, due to not being able to get a loan since I have bad credit (mostly due to medical). I was taken advantage of due to my mental disability, by Joshua Martinez who gets loans for people with bad credit. Not only did I end up in a vehicle I did not want, (I wanted a car, at the time, I drove for Lyft, needed something gas efficient, ended up with a Jeep Patriot....) I also now have a payment way to high to maintain on my own, through Credit Acceptance. I contacted Ryan the President of O'Brien to inform him of this, first of all, He informed me this is the first time he was hearing about this, and seemed as if he was accusing me of lying by saying "Why didn't you reach out before now?" Second he said he would help me by matching a $400 payment towards my past due balance. I have been trying to reach him by his cell phone, he has not returned my calls. On top of being manipulated due to my mental disability, even though I did make the Joshua Martinez (sales person) aware of my situation, I didn't think anyone needed to know besides the person I was working with. Ryan himself did say he saw me go outside repeatedly during the sale, because I was so stressed and having full blown panic attacks, nothing was done. I was also sold Wynn's Warranty, even though I later found out after it was too late, if you drive taxi or ride share (I am a Lyft Driver, they were fully aware of this since that was my source of income) which you think the dealer would know, but they didn't tell me, and sold it to me anyways..... Prior to writting this I had contacted Joshua Martinez, and had tried to contact Ryan the President himself multiple times. The only answer and returned calls I would get were from Joshua Martinez himself, and when I asked what I could do, he said "Just make the payments on time, maybe download this Mint app to help you with your finances". I don't see how that's helpful, the car payment is more than I make! This is unlawful, this is manipulation of someone with a mental disability, this is not okay at all for a business of any kind let alone one of this size, to do. Ryan said the man that did this is in his church group and wouldn't do such a thing... Just because you go to church with someone doesn't mean they are not capable of being bad people, since it seems money runs the world. Ryan also tried to place blame on me, by saying I didn't inform the right people of my disability, to me he made it sound like I hadn't tell everyone employee there, I find that to be ridiculously embarrassing, and none of their business of my medical issues. Everyone should be treated equally, whether they are sick, disabled, perfect in everyway, black, white, yellow, pink, purple, etc..... This is just wrong, you should not take advantage of people, you should not treat people differently. Went to drop my car off to get a diagnostic check on the vehicle. As I drive the car in the service bay I was met by a salesman trying to get me to trade my vehicle in. Not exactly politely either, very pushy and ended up leaving the trade in value of my car in the driver's seat when I picked it up. Dropped it off at 8am, by noon still no word. I called, said the service manager is out to lunch and will call back later. Call again at 130, still not done with a simple diagnostic. Finally at 2 I get the phone call. They want to replace what seems like half the car for almost 6000 bucks. I decided a second opinion would be necessary. My second opinion tells that one of my issues was a simple loose power steering line, and another one of my issues was a simple gasket replacement. Extreme wanted to replace everything that was near those 2 fixes. I needed struts on the vehicle too so I added that to the order and a 6000 dollar bill turns into around 800! Don't let extreme nissan trick you into thinking your car is falling apart unless it's covered under warranty! Over priced and a little over exited to replace everything they can... I'm not going back! read more
