My husband is a total gearhead and he could tell Matt was, too. Their conversation prompted Matt to reach back out to us in August 2025 to let us know of a great deal on a car they had just taken in. In terms of sales, this is a dealership whose ultimate goal is profit, and understandably so. It is their job to make you feel you got the best deal possible. It is your job to make sure you actually get it. Always read what you sign and get your own loan, brining a check to the table if you have concerns. This is true of any dealer. My missing star is because when I was looking for a used vehicle (would have been my second purchase), I wasn't shown a number of vehicles on the lot that I was willing to purchase. Since the price of the one vehicle they chose to sell me was too high, I ultimately took my business elsewhere.

I took a trip only to look at a car and have my current vehicle appraised. I made it abundantly clear I wasn't able to purchase at the time. I was still pushed into a test drive and brought to the sales desk. The Manager said my car was only worth $225, stating the transmission was slipping and the engine was misfiring. All of which is so completely and obviously untrue I could not believe it (I had also gotten it appraised elsewhere for 10x that). The car still has half its engine life left and has had it's transmission serviced at proper intervals. Then they pulled my credit after explicitly being told not too. Even after all that, they have the gall to say "I'm doing everything for you, why cant we make a deal?" Look elsewhere.

So it's saying a lot that O'Brien Honda impressed me from the moment I walked in. The person at reception desk greeted us immediately pointing out the lounge, offering a bottle of water or coke, and the free popcorn! More importantly they called a "sales consultant and educator" (my phrase) to help us. Terrance Harrell. with his calm demeanor and expert answers to our questions, was our guy! He built a sense of trust with us that has never changed. I KNEW he was giving me TRUTHFUL answers, even if they were NOT always the answers I wanted. Terrance spent a lot of time making sure that I was getting they type of car I wanted and needed. Honda cars are high-quality anyway, so I appreciated even more that he was not hyping but educating. Even AFTER we committed to buy our car (which I love!), he continued to educate (not sell). So when I drove the car off the lot, I was happier and even more committed to this purchase, because I knew how to drive it and HOW TO take advantages of the neat features the Honda 2019 Accord offers!! (PS. my two fav are: 1. the heads-up display that even tells me the street I am on!! (look under the compass display). 2) how the car slowly applies the brakes automatically on the highway, to warn me if I get too close to the car in front of me (and I SET THE DISTANCE!). (ps. I had just totaled my car because I braked to late for the other car). I was also impressed by Karen Kastronova, the business manager who handled the final paperwork. She is friendly, ethical and caring. Ryan O'Brien happened to be in the office during my last visit and Karen introduced him to me. Have you seen his commercials? They are attention-getting commercials! By contrast, Ryan is a modest man. Yes, he is high energy, but rather than taking credit for all his successes, he credits others for his success. That is the mark of a true leader! I am Sold on O'Brien Honda.

First thing he made clear was he was not going to help until I removed my social media post. I informed him when I made that post, it was removed within 24 hours so then he was willing to speak with myself and my husband. He ended the conversation with a promised return phone call. He has yet to call us back. I have reached out since via phone and email. All I want is for someone to listen to me and help me. I have been nice. I have been respectful. I have not found one helpful person within this company. I do not know what else to do at this point.

After they were done, they recommended a bunch of work which is to be expected. When I started the car to drive off, it sounded like the muffler was removed. I went from having a car that would drive fine in town but knocked at highway speeds, to one I was embarrassed to even start. I ended up selling it to a different dealer. I would NOT recommend their service department, and will not consider them for future car purchases.

This is somewhat understandable but there was no apology. Upon picking up the vehicle she was kept waiting. She heard the workers talking about some drama about the vehicle. They left the lights on and killed the battery so it wouldn't start. She asked what the problem was and was told "we're just warming it up for you". When she finally got the car, the battery light was on. She went back in and asked why it was on. They said "that just happens sometimes when you haven't driven it for a while". She drove it to her apartment and out of curiosity, tried to turn it back on. It wouldn't start. Making a mistake is one thing. Trying to cover it up and causing further distress to someone without a vehicle is another. They gave her a rental vehicle for the day as compensation for full transparency, but even after this never admitted fault. If she wouldn't have overheard them talking about it, she never would have been the wiser
