I took a trip only to look at a car and have my current vehicle appraised. I made it abundantly clear I wasn't able to purchase at the time. I was still pushed into a test drive and brought to the sales desk. The Manager said my car was only worth $225, stating the transmission was slipping and the engine was misfiring. All of which is so completely and obviously untrue I could not believe it (I had also gotten it appraised elsewhere for 10x that). The car still has half its engine life left and has had it's transmission serviced at proper intervals. Then they pulled my credit after explicitly being told not too. Even after all that, they have the gall to say "I'm doing everything for you, why cant we make a deal?" Look elsewhere.

(In case you're wondering, Genesis is the jazzed version of Hyundai--but Genesis models are undergoing recalls for serious fuel pump problems and stalling, so its not all that jazzy after all.) The car I bought was right for me but the finance manager saw himself as a "Top Gun" figure who could out gun everyone. He sold me a service warranty under the claim that I wouldn't have to pay for it because, as he implied, it would be rolled into the loan. Not true, so I later went back to cancel the warranty. He was surly and sullen and was so angry he refused to give me a copy of the cancellation documents, and later I had to ask the general manager to provide them. I made it clear to the dealership that this was bad business and asked to have my removed from their email list. They said they would but this didn't happen, and I had to have a long email exchange with their junior online person. Eventually, they unsubscribed me after about a dozen emails. I also asked them to remove me from their postal advertising mailing list. A few weeks later, I got an advertisement from Ryan Gremore, the president of the O'Brien group, that was addressed to the Mitsubishi general manager and it went like this: "Hey Steven, do you know I can reach this customer? I want to buy his vehicle." That was unbelievably lame and juvenile, and I called the number provided for the general manager, only to find out he was "in a meeting" (three times!) and finally, a recording said the number was non-functioning. Just another slick move to evade responsibility while trying to make fast money from the public. I eventually made phone contact when the general manager saw a review I left and called to say that he was sorry for any "misunderstanding." I asked him to remove my name and address from their system and to never send me another advertisement by postal or email. He said they would do so, and I thought I would close the books on this slick, deceptive car dealership. A few weeks ago, another advertisement from O'Brien showed up in my mailbox. You have to admire this sort of incompetence because it shows a sort of moronic persistence. If a dealership can't get something this simple right, what are they going to do to your car? (Check Reddit commenters and you'll find out.) I've had the great pleasure in the past couple years of helping several people NOT buy a car from O'Brien. There are other places to buy a car. Make sure it's not O'Brien because they will upsell you, trick you, and then fake you out at every step of the way. There's a pattern here: be slick and use tricks, move inventory, and squeeze out as much as you can. Buyer, beware. O'Brien gets one star only because Yelp does not allow zero.

Context: A couple weeks ago my Honda CRV had a small leak of transmission fluid. The fluid level was also EXTREMELY LOW. We don't typically take my car to O'Brien but they had the quickest appointment time. Dropped the car off the next morning. My Dad handled the communication with O'Brien as he knows more about cars and parts than I do. They stated there was a small pin hole where the transmission fluid is but that the fluid level was good. Which was odd since my dad had checked it twice and it was extremely low so he had them check it again and they said it was fine. There were a few other things that they listed that they check as part of a "bundle" my dad agreed to some and some he said not to do. That was all fine my dad then took my car to a local tire shop to get the tires aligned as that was one of the things my dad had turned down at O'Brien. While at the tire shop he asked the technician to check the transmission fluid level and he said it was EXTREMELY LOW and put more in at no additional cost. When my dad got the bill from O'Brien he noticed a charge for a new timing belt for over $900! The timing belt had just been replaced last year by the mechanic shop we normally take my car to. O'Brien never said anything about it to my dad otherwise he never would have let them replace it!! They refused to give him a refund for it!! This is extremely disappointing as my Dad paid the bill for this on the car that I own. I make ends meet but for something like this would have been very hard to for me to pay. I'm so grateful to have a Dad that is so supportive. So when I heard about this I was extremely furious!!! O'BRIEN HONDA YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!! STOP SCAMMING DECENT HARD WORKING PEOPLE! Unfortunately we learned the hard way and will NEVER be bring another car here again! Had we seen the other reviews we never would have brought my car here.

I have never experienced such incompetence and inconsiderate behavior. I obviously didn't have an appointment as this was an emergency situation so I wasn't in their system and because I didn't have an apartment they couldn't put me in their system. They didn't have any technicians available to look at it and that is understandable as I didn't have an appointment. I have never needed an appointment for a top off at the two Audi dealer I usually go to. They finally agreed to top it off but were going to charge me for the AdBlue. I have never in 4 years paid for AdBlue because it is covered under my TDI warranty. They suggested I go to Walmart and buy deff and they could put it in if I didn't want to pay them for it. I asked if it was possibly a sensor or something needed to be reset since I just had the AdBlue filled two days prior. They again said they didn't know and there was no technicians available to look. Finally they agreed to do me a favor and top off my AdBlue and not charge me. As expected it was full. So my option was to drive it back home and not shut it off because it won't restart. At no point did they offer to take my car and look into it. At no point did they ask if someone could come get me and they would look at my car when they had time. They were perfectly content sending me back in the road with a car that would not restart. I drove it back to my dealer and made it with 10 miles to no restart. On a personal note I was concerned I would be stranded and went to the closest dealer thinking they would be able to help or at least offer some suggestions. Not only did they offer very little help they were also very unsympathetic. They more or less said we can't help you go to Walmart and fix it yourself or start driving home and don't shut it off. At no point did they offer a "sorry we can't help you" I do believe they were busy and unable to look at my car at that time but a little sympathy for this unplanned emergency would have gone a long way. My usually Audi dealer just called and told me it was a software update that was the problem. A simple quick fix that could have been looked up or even done in the amount of time I spent arguing with the two service representatives.

    I must say, this team knows how to put the customer first…read more I should begin by saying that we love Hyundai vehicles. Our last 4 have been Hyundais (2 Sonata and 2 Santa Fe). I say this to explain that we love the company. Now let me explain why we love this dealer. First, and foremost, their service department is the best we have ever dealt with. They actively work to build a rapport and relationship with each owner, and do what they can to make the experience satisfactory. Even if you don't buy a vehicle from them, take it to them to be serviced! Now, their sales team. As I said, we've had 4 Hyundais, but only the last two have been purchased from them. Our first was not purchased due to a less than satisfactory experience with a salesperson that was not customer-centric. The second was because they did not have the specific used vehicle we wanted. Our last two vehicles, however, have been the most painless purchases we have ever made. Not only did they offer several options as far as vehicles, but the negotiation process with both vehicles was without all of the "let me check for one more discount" back-and-forth that happens at some dealers. You can quickly get them to the "This is the payment amount we want per month" and they will do everything in their power to get it there. As long as Hyundai keeps making vehicles that we are happy with, we will continue to use Extreme.

Most recently, Jan 2020, I decided it was time for an upgrade. I did research on other cars and was ultimately undecided on two. But one was a new Camry. Given how respectful and easy Nate to work with, I chose to come back here. When I texted him, he knew who I was. It was nice when i realized that. When it comes to Toyota, I have a specific admiration for them. In 2009, a 1992 Camry saved my life when the 17+ year-old airbag deployed when my car landed "in a tree" when I fell asleep driving. Nate wants you to but a car, but you'd never know it from his demeanor. He won't pressure you into anything. You're immediately treated like an old friend from back in the day. He let's you lead the conversation. And he works with finance to get the best you can for your money. Rick and the rest of the service department has also been a great help with understanding any problems I have had. It was with an ultimately benign system that allows you to remote start your car from your phone (honestlynot that important). And they figured it out, when everyone was telling me "it's probably the app". It took some thinking outside the box to figure that one out, as no one had ever seen it before! I can say I love my new Camry. But don't take my word for it. Go talk to Nate and the rest of the team. If they can help you, as they have me, they will do everything to make things happen!!
