I was a good customer of Bloom nails almost from the day opened. The shop is clean and I loved Kay who did my nails. But the other day when I made an appointment, I found five minutes into my time, the owner or manager sat down and Kay who always did my nails, moved to another customer. To be honest because I used shellac polish I needed, my nails needed to be soaked which usually takes five minutes. A half hour later, Kay returned to me but not before I learned the woman she just finished also had the same time for an appointment. I know this happens at these shops who wait for walk ins but why make two appts. At the same time with the same manicurist. I was so annoyed that I, who was a good customer was tossed off for somebody new to the shop. With so many shops in the area, I won't be going back to Bloom again and I wonder if they even care. read more

Very pleased with mani, pedi and waxing. Always very friendly to me and my daughter. Love Ivy for eyebrow and leg waxing. Did gel manicures there last summer with great results. Owner is usually there and seems to really care and keep an eye on what is going on. Have recommended Bloom to friends and they have been pleased also. read more

I was looking for an alternative to the place I normally go. This spa is in a good location very close to my home. It has been open for about 3 months. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The quality of work is not so good. I got a mani pedi and for both I had to give way too much instruction even with the instruction the work was mediocre. I had to touch up everything when I got home. If you want clean and friendly only this is the place for you,. If you pay attention to detail and quality of work , not so much. read more

Very rude customer service!! I went in with my mother on a Wednesday for a mani/pedi. I got a French while my mom got a regular. Our total (including tips) was $90. I had to attend a wedding on Saturday evening and by Saturday morning, my manicure was already peeling. I called asking if I could come in and get a touch up. The receptionist first said its already 4 days so that's normal for the manicure to come off...to which I explained that I had come in Wednesday evening so at best it was 2.5 days. She said "come in and we will see" and then she hung up on me. I will NEVER go back there again...horrible customer service. read more

Went on lunch time for a spa pedi (big weekend ahead) called ahead to make sure they could take me. Walked in 5 mins early took me right away the lady who helped me made sure the nail tech knew I was on lunch and periodically came to check to make sure I was still ok on time. Which was very attentive in my humble opinion. They were very busy for a Thursday at 12:20pm but seemed to run on time. I got the cnd pedi which was mint and why I picked it. I love mint makes me happy! Feel soaked, scrubbed, mask and callous remover applied and all wrapped up in plastic, at this time nails were shaped cuttlicles taken care of. Then I was unwrapped and calloused filed, that sound terrible I know not sure what else to call it though maybe removed? That's vauge though leaves all these questions like how where they removed? They were filed!, and then massaged! Very good massage too! Then lotion applied then oil then paraffin. Then the Polish process began. Polish job was good, not great. Overall was very satisfied with service as well as personal attention. It's very close to my job so it's likely I will return! read more

I have been a regular here for years but I will not return.Three and a half years to be exact. The staff is always changing over. Which is not a good thing. During a fill in I told the manicurist my one nail was hurting and she refused to remove the acrylic. Only after I insisted did she do so . When I decided to just get gel manicures instead of a fill in the woman argued with me , cut my nail short and then told me I needed extensions. !!!!!!i walked out with short ,stumpy nails instead of my longer natural nail that I walked in with. Angry and so disappointed. !! Never again go anywhere else ! read more

I have been going to Bloom for over 3 years. I have been very happy with the service, I usually walk in. I have a hard time when they charge me $5 for a fix on my gel/fill manicure. You can't through a faithful customer a fix?? Might be trying somewhere else just out of principal read more

Nice inside but the woman who did my nails was exceptionally rough and made 3 of my fingers bleed. I got a uv gel manicure and from what I understand they are supposed to last a long time. 2 of my nails popped off a week later. Not going back. read more

I used to be a loyal customer and would come here frequently for my gel colors. The prices seemed to fluctuate which I did not like; a few of their services are posted on a "menu" but not many. What got me was when I took my daughters to get their nails done for a special occasion and the owner was trying to sell a very pricey service for my one daughter which I had already said was not appropriate for her age, then charged me $20 for my 9-yr-old's French manicure! According to the menu, the cost for a mani for age 7-11 was supposed to be $7. Add a few dollars for French, that is no where near 20! I didn't want to argue with the lady but I don't think I will be going back. read more

The salon is new, clean and conveniently located. I usually get my gel manicure done by Kay. She does a fantastic job. My pedicures are done by who ever is available and most of the time they're just OK. Prices are high. Tips must be made in cash. If you don't have cash there is an ATM in the shop that charges a fee. read more

I'm a Springfield resident and I stopped by today to find out the services they offer... When I asked for brochure the receptionist said there are no more brochures left. So, I asked politely if I can take a picture of the prices so I can make an appointment in the future for myself and my daughter. Instead of helping me, the receptionist got very angry... The entire interaction was less then 2 minutes.... I will never suggest this location to anyone or their services! Very disappointed experience. Made an apt for 11 am, came on time during my lunch break but was forced to wait for 25 minutes. It was the worst service I received, in addition the owner refused to accept coupons that I personally received from her a couple months ago. Worst nail salon. I've gone here for my fill ins numerous times and the manager is always rude to me and always lets people who walk in go before me. But this time I'm never going back. After picking out my gel color it was 07 and a pink and she pulled one that was 06 and purple I just asked if it was correct and she grabbed the gel wheel and slammed it down then poked the color aggressively in my face saying I hadn't read right. Finally waited 2 hours after my pedicure for someone to take me after she let everyone who came in after me before me. The woman messed up my middle finger it was wider then the other one something I noticed 3 seconds after I got up and was paying. I walked over and asked her to correct it. She said no? Something a nail technician has never said to me . I told the manager about my nail issue and that I'd been told no and the manager turns to me says and says too bad you got up your turns over. I was taken aback by the manager who also said my color gel pedicure coupon on the door didn't apply . I told her I had been treated rudely and paid for a service and wanted it to be fixed, and would not return. She didn't try and convince me otherwise but finally made someone help me after I waited again for that. Just go to J&k nails in kenilworth. They're so sweet. I have never been treated so poorly in my life for a service I paid for and tipped in the end and the woman who said no to me got a tip and didn't even say thank you! Insane read more

One star is way too generous for this place but that's the only way I could post this review. I am in complete agreement with Linda S. I had not one but 2 bad experiences at the salon. Both occasions I went w/ my daughter for mani/pedis. The first time we were seated for pedicures and waited a few minutes. Another customer came in for a pedicure at least 20 minutes after us and was serviced before us. When I told the owner that we were there before her, she told me that she had an appointment. With that, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and didn't want to jump to any rash conclusions. I really felt like leaving but reluctantly stayed. The second time, I called the salon the morning of Thanksgiving Eve to schedule an appointment later that afternoon since I knew the salon would be very busy. I called the salon in the afternoon to reschedule for a later appointment. When I arrived again with my daughter, I told the owner my name and time of my appointment. All the nail attendants were doing manicures. We weren't seated at the pedicure station right away. A little red flag went up in my head that I could be in store for an unpleasant experience. We were seated at the last two pedicure chairs furthest from the front of the store. Another customer came in for a pedicure and was seated at the front and similar to my other visit, the customer was waited on before us after a short wait. Once again I spoke to the owner and told her that we were there before her. She told me she had an appointment. I told her I had one too. She told me that she would have to write my appointment in the book next time. NEXT TIME!!!???? How presumptuous!!! I told my 10 yr old daughter that we were leaving. The owner asked us what we were doing and I told her we were leaving. She proceeded to give me a card for $10 off services at my next visit. NEXT VISIT???!!!! I told her that I would have no use for the card because I would never come back!! I was convinced that she had partiality for some customers over others. I had to vote with my feet and hoped that seeing $60+ walk out the door would make her regret her actions. read more

Two weeks ago, I showed up at the salon for a pedicure 30 minutes before closing. I was a little nervous about being rushed but the receptionist was friendly and assured me it would be fine. The pedicurist, however, didn't get the memo. She did a fast clip and cut so deep on one toe that I limped for 3 days afterward. When she was done butchering my toes, she filled a cotton ball with nail polish remover and wiped off the clippers. I should have left then and there. 15 minutes later the pedicure was done and the pedicurist had on her coat and was headed for the door. This is the worst experience I have ever had at this salon. When they first opened, all equipment was individually wrapped and you could be sure that everything was sanitary. The service was wonderful back then but not so much anymore. I guess that would explain why I was the only person there near closing time on a Saturday. read more
