Had an SNS manicure done that needed removal because it grew out and I didn't want to fill them in. Came here because it's in it way home so decided to try them. As soon as I came in, no one said " Hi, welcome to Cosmo's Nails how can I help you"..instead I was met with stares and silence. Should have been my first indication. But I was already there so I asked for sns removal and the owner said $20 I said great and sat down. Nancy was my nail tech and she was very sweet and did a great job. She was very patient and took her time to make sure my nails were left nice. She even gave me a hot towel, but then as she was putting the hot towel over my hands and writing the receipt the owner came and said " it's $36 because you cut her nails and that took time" um I was so confused. There was no cuticle removal, no polish just acetone soak and filing off the SNS. Nancy explained that I had tips under the SNS and she HAD to cut the artificial nail. What else was she suppose to do, a half ass job of leaving the artificial nail tip there? The entire situation made me feel very uncomfortable having that conversation in front of a first time customer was inappropriate and I felt bad for the tech. I didn't want to get her in trouble.What a dumb way to lose a customer, it's not like the salon was full there were only 3 other customer there. I've had SNS with tips removed in the past and the nail tech didn't do anything different that others, just standard removal. I gave Nancy a cash tip for her trouble and paid the nail salon owner in card. First and last time here. I rather take my business to a place that prides themselves in quality service, not nickel and dimes you while making their techs and customers uncomfortable. read more

I had a great experience here! Maria was my manicurist and she also did my pedicure. She introduced herself and ask me if it was my first time there when I said yes she immediatley welcomed me. My gel manicure was just that but she was very meticulous and made sure it was perfect. I also had the shea butter spa pedicure, for this I will be back! It was amazing! It started with a scrub, a leg mask, a shea butter extra Lengthy massage , finished with heal parafin and polish. So happy with my experience that I will be back. read more

Pedicure was perfect... Maria did a great job... then I decided to do my nails /sns ...well very bad idea... the lady that actually knows how to do it was bz... So I assumed the other one that was there could it well my nails look like I i got bubble gum on top she put Idk how many layer of sns just horrible and I had to paid $70 for this mess. My opinion of the salon has changed greatly after my third visit. The most recent time I went for a pedi & gel fills was a nightmare. My nails were destroyed because Ivy decided to start filing them down while I was in the pedi chair using an old fashion emery board which did not give an even removal Plus she then proceeded to use the electric drill which brought them down to a uncomfortable and raw state ! Poor product was put on incorrectly and was all lumpy and bumpy. Four days I went back to discuss having them re-done but I wasn't willing to pay another $85 to do so I have since learned the only salon to go to locally is Nail Boutique in Westfield ask for ( owner) Eunice or book online. read more

My pedicure was actually ok but my manicure chipped after a few days. But the reason I'm giving 1 star is because they are NOT following guidelines to be open during covid. A few things I noticed while I was there: - not operating at reduced capacity (there had to have been about 16 people in this small salon at once) - accepting walk ins and allowing them to convene in the front seating area (as opposed to making them wait in their cars) - not requiring patrons to wash their hands - temperature checks are random, some got them and others didn't - allowing patrons to use the drying table (even though the division of consumer affairs has temporarily prohibited it) - no dividers between chairs (just skipping a chair) I will not be returning to this salon read more

Beware of this nail salon! I emailed them the day before to make an appointment for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. I was told to call in, which I did. I also requested pricing. I was told a gel manicure was $25 and gel pedicure $35. When I arrived the following day, I had to tell them at least 10 times the services I wanted even though I made this appointment in advance. Things seemed to be going well during the pedicure but then during it they switched the lady doing my toes. I figured this women had specialities so didn't think anything of it. After finishing up my toes, I choose chrome nails which I was so excited about. I actually did some research in the area to who did it and Cosmos came up. During my manicure they changed up the nail technician yet again. I waited 10 minutes while they sorted it out. Shortly after the lady finished my nails and they had all of these weird marks in them. It looked terrible! They have all of these chrome colors advertised but cannot deliver. I was so frustrated as I had been there for over 2 hours at this point, i opted out of what the owner called a free of charge manicure -- I was already extremely inconvenienced. I went up to pay for my pedicure and she charged me $50 for a gel pedicure! How crazy, even after all of this. She charged me and then asked me how she could help. Such an awful experiences. The pros about this place is that it's open Sunday, nice selection of nail colors and cute and clean appearance. Cons: the owner did my mani and pedii. He was not the friendliest and did a rush job. Anytime someone walked in he kept looking around at the other manicurist, giving them eye signals to hurry up. At on point he sneezed 2 times in his hand and went right back to finishing my pedi. Needless to say I was disgusted. The pedi was sloppy and I had bubbles under my nail polish where he did no completely remove my last gel manicure. Won't be coming back. read more

I needed a good, clean, friendly place to do my nails locally and I found it. The staff was extremely welcoming and the location is convenient plenty of parking and the level of detail is exceptional. I was however a bit surprised in their prices - a mani/ pedi was $37 ($6 extra for organic nail polish) plus tip. I'm not sure I will make this a weekly visit but will return. Perhaps if they offered a midweek discount it would be more appealing. read more

Cosmo used be my go-to for nails in the area, but sadly this changed after my most recent visit. Chris handled my gel manicure and did an exceptionally poor job. My manicure came out with lots of bumps and nicks. Not only that, she cut me on two fingers and made me bleed and didn't even realize it until I pointed it out to her. She nearly cut me on another finger when I stopped her. Needless to say, it was a truly awful experience and I will not be visiting Cosmo again. read more

I went to get my toes done here and saw that they did not use new tools for doing my pedicure. I saw them just put it in a drawer and not sterilize them omg. Will not be going back and my favorite person to get them done isn't even there anymore and they won't give me her number. Owner keeps insisting I make an appointment with someone else ugh. this is a nice salon on the south side of Westfield. we made an appointment for mani-pedis for four of us on Christmas eve and they accommodated us. the space is clean and the ladies were kind and professional. they even gave us little christmas gifts. we had a fun time sitting together and they took photos of us to remember the day spent with family. lovely spot and we will be back. read more

absolutely horrible. I paid $80 for a full set permanent French. The owner passed me off to another tech halfway through the session. This tech had no clue how to do nails. There was a huge dip between where the acrylic extension was and the white and pink fill. I didn't realize at first how much of a dip there was until I got home and realized just how awful they looked. Went back and the owner yet again didn't offer to fix them herself but had the same tech attempt to do a gel extension set. The tech did not know how to do extension because the firm was being placed under my natural nail but randomly on my nail bed, hence the gap. She used GLOBS of gel and then kept telling me she'd file it so it would lay evenly.. you cannot file it because the gel extension wasn't applied properly so doing will only cause there to be even more of a gap between natural nail bed and extension. Finally, I ask for the owner to fix them. The tech storms away goes outside starts yelling to the owner and the owner comes back in tells me they just need to be filed. I explain I want the owner to fix them not the tech since she isn't doing this correctly and I've wasted 3 hours already. The owner kept refusing to redo them herself until I said I paid for a service what's the issue. Finally, the owner attempts to fix the issue, and the owner is also GLOBBING gel on it to fix the gaps instead of starting fresh. 3 1/5 hours later, after the owner telling me she gave me the original set for a ten dollar discount (okay.. but they look horrible so who cares what the discount is) I leave with heavy, air bubble filled, super bubbly nails. I said whatever at least they're fixed. I'll go elsewhere next time but then THE NEXT DAY the nail broke in half. I ended up removing them myself and they peeled right up. It was a disaster. The techs don't know how to do acrylics or gels. I can't speak on regular manicures but the owner even admitted she hates doing gels on customers. So unprofessional. I wasted $90. read more

I've been coming to this location for 15 years. These new owners are the best yet. They have really upgraded the whole experience! The interior renovations are a great improvement. But most importantly the service is pleasant and very accommodating! My only negative comment is the cost of adding gel to a spa pedicure is more pricey than other salons I've been to.
