Was assisted during a recent visit by a nail technician seated toward the rear of the salon; she had a bad attitude from the moment I sat down. Despite attempts to be cordial, she remained stoic. During the pedicure, she pushed a book of nail colors at me to pick from and roughly pushed/pulled my feet from the water instead of instructing me to do so. When it came to the gel manicure (she remained rough), filing and sawing across the nail beds. This is not only uncomfortable but weakens nails. Even after stating my discomfort, she continued rather than use an e-file. I left miserable with sore nail beds. Since staying nearby, decided to give them another try. Unfortunately, it was another disappointing experience. My usual salon provides a strengthener and three coats of gel that lasts about a month; this gentleman used two coats, charged extra for the strengthener and asked that I return in two weeks. Once I returned home had to re-file nails; each one had a different shape and size. The pedi color was also darker than the mani due to not using the same number of coats. Wish I had met the nail techs other reviewers spoke of, because I wanted to like this salon. Hopefully my experience will help them make necessary improvements for others, but I definitely won't be returning. read more

I cheated on my usual nail salon with young nails because it was the only salon that could take me before a trip. I got a gel manj/pedi and it took OVER two hours. The only thing that kept me from giving one star was that the non nail part of the pedicure (massage, hot rocks etc.) was great. The nail tech filed my toes with the block file so much that my nail beds began to bleed and caused pain for almost a week after. My finger nails were a little better but I wouldn't recommend gel manicure here because they don't have the built in uv so you can only dry one hand at a time. Another thing that added to my wait. I also wanted my toe and hands to match and they picked the wrong shade for my toes but said it was the same when I questioned them and I couldn't really tell until they did my nails after. read more

You would think after four months of being a new client they might remember your name . Never again....Young Nails! I would not have given them a star if I wasn't forced to! I had a really rough morning so when I remembered that I had a gift certificate for a mani pedi that my mom gave me for my birthday; yo can only imagine how much I was looking forward to ending my day by using it. I finish my work day and dash out the door because I have a 45 min commute and want to make it there before 6pm because they close at 7:15pm. I get home in record time and ready to relax. Well I was relaxed until I got embarrassed and berated. As I said I had a gift certificate so when I went to pay it was only then that realize the I only had $1 in cash on me, I was totally embarrassed thinking what am I going to do. Well I figure I'll just give her the $1 and then come back tomorrow and give the coconut oil that she was asking me about that made my skin soft as a thank you. And then it happened...she picked up the dollar and shook it then started yelling at me "one dollar, one dollar are you kidding me!! what you don't have Credit Card!". Needless to say I'm now really embarrassed and I have not words cause my nails still need to dry and I have to wait there. Meanwhile she is banging things around and then slaps my dollar onto my purse and walks away grumbling. Well I don't know about you but when you go to a nails salon you go to relax and not be treated so disrespectfully by an employee. I literally walked out frazzled and upset. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE. I don't even want to give them one star but there isn't a lesser choice. First of all, this is one of the more expensive places in the area so you would think it would be cleaner and have exceptional service. WRONG. The place feels gross. I don't normally go here but I was in the area and thought I would just save myself some time. Not only was I here for almost an hour and a half for a simple manicure and pedicure but my toes had to be repainted THREE TIMES. The woman who did my mani and pedi was SO RUDE - I never got her name which is unfortunate. When I was there she sat two tables in from the back. She did a lazy job filing my nails so I had to ask her to straighten and smooth certain parts, which clearly irritated her and because she did a lazy job painting, I ended up with streaks, areas on the sides of my nails that weren't completely painted in, and color all over my cuticles. If I wanted paint all over my hands I would have done it myself. Seriously. I asked her to take it off and redo it which irritated her AGAIN! Fellow customers saw her annoyance and shot me a look so I knew I wasn't going crazy. THIS IS YOUR JOB. All I could do was laugh because this was their business so you'd think they would be able to: A.) Know how to properly do a manicure/pedicure. B.) Be nice to people who are paying for a service. They tried to upsell me to a $50 pedicure option (that's only $40 even at an actual spa in Westfield) and when I decided to go with my original option they gave me the most lackluster pedicure ever. They then left me waiting for my manicure and proceeded to service someone who had come in two customers after me. The manicurist told me the glitter top coat I chose for my hands from their selection of polishes "didn't work" because it was thin & I had to instruct her on how OPI glitter top coats work. I was left to dry and no one ever checked my nails so I ended up adding some quick dry drops on my own and just leaving. read more

Very bad, bad,,bad!!!! Very superficial pedicure- a waste of money. Even the nails were not cut properly and instead of a pumice scrub she used a grater, for seconds, rubbed quickly some scrub and went for the wet towels. So I said- "excuse me, what about the cuticles?"- so she did them quickly and superficially. And it's not as if there were other customers waiting, I was the only one and another one with another worker! Please don't spend your hard earned money on poor performance places! I cannot believe this place has 3 stars. I never review barely anything and am sitting in the salon now and had to post this. This is (I think) my 5th time here... I have seen 4 different people and they all are amazing. Massages on point, extremely clean atmosphere and my nails always look so good. After every service they give you a mini massage... and it is actually good. Prices are a little more expensive but it is for a reason. I would gladly pay it for what I get. read more

I am surprised to read some of the poor reviews here, I have always had an enjoyable experience although I only go for pedicures. I used to live across the street so I started going for convenience but now I live a few towns away and still like to go there (even though there are many closer options) because when I get a pedicure, my polish usually lasts a longer than most other places I have been to. Many of the staff I have met haven't spoken much English but they seem courteous enough. I generally don't make appointments in advance so usually just call that day and they always fit me in. read more

I had a horrible experience here on 05/28/16. I went to get my mother's and my eyebrows and upper lips waxed. The woman used wax that was BURNING! My mother has giant red welts around her eyebrows that we hope will not scar. I also have redness in my eyebrow area. She also pulled too hard and did a sloppy job. I had also spent $35 on a mani pedi there about a week earlier. The woman who did it seemed annoyed that she had to do it and did a sloppy job. So I went for a massage. I went for convenience - since it was a Sunday and hadn't made an appointment at a spa. Well I paid $100 and it was a total waste. Worse than a waste. The woman massaged me through cotton towels and paper towels. Do you know how awful that feels? I am usually an outspoken person but I guess being practically naked I was out of my element. I also kept hoping it would get better that it was just a warm up. It got worse! She doused me in baby oil. Not a little - a lot. She put it in my hair, on my face it was awful. Finally when she did this to my face - I found my voice and told her to get it off of my face immediately and it felt gross! I can't get over how horrible it was and that I paid for this. I just was in shock I suppose. Lesson learned - next time I will go to a real spa. I am going to call and ask for a credit for nail service. Okay. How unfortunate for all of these terrible reviews! My boyfriend and I have been here twice now and have had pleasant experiences both times. Although it's a bit pricey and I'm more than capable to do my nails on my own, I think it's a nice treat every now and then. Plus I absolutely hate doing my toes, but I digress. Both times, my boyfriend and I have requested the longer massage pedicure. It's absolutely heaven and the women working are nothing but smiles. Second go around, I decided to get a manicure as well. I always bring my own polish and this particular formula was a little thinner and there were some bald spots, and I requested she do three coats before she was even done with the second and she happily did so. Also, I accidentally smudged one of my toes when I was sitting down for the manicure and the woman came and completely redid the toe and smiled the entire time, through my seven apologies. Also, while you're sitting and waiting for your mani/pedi to dry, they gave you a nice little 1-2 minute massage. Personally, I've had really great experiences. I've been here a few times but today was so great I had to write a review (as I've seen some of the more negative ones while looking up the phone # of this place and I think they're unwarranted). The service is great, I walked in without an appointment and got seated right away. They incorporate a lot of massage into even the standard pedicure & they are skilled and quick on the manicure. Today they also offered a free 10 minute massage if you got a gel mani and pedi (which I did), and upon paying, they gave everyone a small wrapped Christmas gift. So nice read more
