The manicures are excellent and always last a long time, and the pedicures are incredibly thorough and relaxing. They also add lots of thoughtful extras like coffee or water while you're there and a points program for regular customers. Update on my review. I've been coming to this place since it was Nails by Yeimmi and the service has only gotten better. They now give you a hot pad for your back while you get a pedicure and they finish the service with a quick back massage. This place is clean. However, Im new to this area and went for the first time in a Sunday. I did research, found Nails by Yeimy-- so I called to make reservation. The person on phone when I asked "is this nails by yeimi?"answered yes. I made my appt. I pulled up and address building was "GIO Nails." I walked in saw it was clean, so continued. I tried to express to the woman who told me to "pick color," that I do not want GEL NAILPOLISH THAT NEEDS UV LIGHT and I CANNOT HAVE HEAVY DIGGING, I'm on blood thinner. She said ok, no problem. Another woman comes over to do my pedicure, I tell her same thing.... She did not understand me. She needed the other woman to translate. Well it turns out that no one understood English in the whole place. I had to literally almost walk out mid pedicure... I think the woman thought she was a surgeon. On top of that, she pulled out the UV light after painting my nails. I literally said NO walked off of chair. FORGET ABOUT PRICING; no one could explain pricing in English. I ended up paying for a service I didn't want, didn't let them "set" - so I paid for a half-baked pedi. This place is clean, BUT DO NOT GO IF YOU DO NOT SPEAK SPANISH FLUENTLY. Another walk-in heard how I had to struggle to get them to understand me, she walked out. Which is what I should have done. If you have no one in your salon who can speak ENGLISH FLUENTLY, you should make that known upfront. GIO nails is treading on dangerous territory. I tried emailing the nail salon before writing this review but haven't heard back so here I am... I got a dip manicure which I've been doing for about 5 years but my first time here. After 1 day, the shiny layer had peeled away and by day 6 there was a chip. Usually my dip manicure lasts over 3 weeks and I only get it removed because they have grown out so much. I tried this place because it was close to work. I was a walk in. They took me. The pedicure was ok. Not great. I got a gel manicure which I had to wait 45 minutes for after the pedicure becuse the technician did a pedicure for another customer inbetween!!! I was on my way to a graduation and had spent two hours in this nail salon! If they didn't have enough employees you should not have accepted me. :(. It is new and clean. I hate writing negative reviews, but as my nail still hurts I felt it necessary. I've been here several times and had good experiences. Today, the girl doing my mani cut me very deeply with the cuticle cutters, barely acknowledged it as it bled, put some blue solution which stung and continued to use unclean tools. I should have stopped her and left but didn't want to make a scene. Several nails are crooked, polish is uneven, and my finger is still stinging. I showed the owner who then took an alcohol wipe to the cut and did little else. I will not be back. read more

Supper disappointed. I got gel nails and not even 2 hours after getting them done 1 chipped. Turned around and they fixed it. Shook it off as a fluke but 3 days later multiple nails have started chipping. I have been getting gels for years and they always last at least 2 weeks. $40 for nails that you need to go back and forth to get fixed is not worth it. read more

I went there to give this new place a try. I went on a Tuesday because many places have discounts when you get a mani and pedi Mon-Wed. There wasn't a discount, but I decided to stay anyway. I had my pedicure and went to get my manicure, which is when a mother woman walked in. While waiting for her manicure she playing what sounded like a Christian revival podcast loudly on her phone while loudly exclaiming "Praise Jesus" and the like. This really was not the place. All of us there tried to ignore her while the management and staff did nothing. I must have looked at her funny because she soon targeting me, calling me "a witch!" Even stating "I know evil when I see it." The management continued to do nothing while I was being harassed. I finally told the manicurist to stop because I couldn't stay there any longer. I went to pay for the pedicure and told the lady I was going to call the police if she didn't stop. That's when she left. I did not stay for the whole manicure, and yet even after that terrible experience , they charged me FULL PRICE for a mani/pedi. How the management didn't lift a finger to protect their customers, and then have them pay, is unbelievable. I'm disputing it the charge and NEVER going back there again. Stay away. read more

I originally went in for a SNS dipping powder manicure and gel pedicure on a Friday after work. My person that does my nails at another location is on maternity leave. The lady started my pedicure but I could tell she was not experienced and she was taking so long that I just asked for a regular pedicure so I could get out of there. She cut my toe nails so short and she didn't even get the polish on the entire nail. It's two days later and the polish is already cracking. I was so ready to get out of there that I told them I didn't want my manicure done as they were also expensive and charged me to take off my current gel off my toes. Other places do not charge a la cart if your getting another service done. I paid more there for a regular pedicure than I would pay for a good gel pedicure at regular place. Anyways, I would never go back there again and I do not suggest this place at all. If I could give no stars that would be my rating but since you have to give at least one star, I'll do it for the cleanliness. read more

Great customer service. I'm glad that they do not drill your nails with drilling nail file which has made my nails so thin, causing nail breakage every other day, after other salon's gel mani. Gel mani is more than I usually pay but the neatness, quality of service & prettiness of my nails after service was worth it, -compared to what I've experienced at other salons (hit or miss in neatness/thoroughness each week) for $30. My nail bed grows close to top of my nail as it grows out & nail technician clipped at it a couple times but was overall careful not to do so after realizing this. I hope my nails can be restored so they're not breaking so often & that this gel set lasts for at-least two weeks so I can return. Overall I'm glad I found this place today. read more
