I went in as a last-minute pedicure, and did appreciate them fitting me in. However, that is where the good times ended. First of all, they basically shoved an "extra services" menu in my face, and I felt almost forced to purchase an upgrade. At most salons, the customer asks for the "extras" menu, it isn't aggressively given to them while the tech stares them down to make a decision. The pedicure itself was average; you can get the same service anywhere. Towards the end, I had to take a phone call for work, and this is where things went south quickly. As someone with multiple degrees who speaks all day, every day, I am well-aware and cognizant of my voice volume. I would never take a call if it wasn't an emergency, and my toes were almost all painted at this point. Some "manager," frumpy as can be, messy, disheveled and looking like she was wearing pajamas, SUSHED ME! The human was probably in her late 30's but looked like she was in her early 50's and (again) wearing pajamas...AT WORK! To add insult to injury, after I hung up with my patient, I went to dry my toes, and I heard the frumpy queen and another customer discussing the fact that someone smelled like smoke (it wasn't me, but I was offended on behalf of whoever it was). The lifestyle choices of others are NOT something that should be discussed out loud, especially by someone MANAGING a salon. This month I've decided to have an acrylic sets but I ended up having a gel set which I dont want to get but Kim did a fabulous job so I dont mind it. I paid $80 dollars for it and believe me it was elegant but after a week with it I observed my real nails got weaker and the fake nails on top of it fell off as in it breaks am thinking these wont fit for me , I'd rather stick to normal french manicure than wasting to something that couldn't last for long. I had liked my experiences here up until now. I made an appt. for my daughter and I and was given Lucy. She rushed through her work and was done with me and my pedicure before a child's pedicure. My daughter's person never showed until the manager came and got angry then the massage guy came and did her nails. It all just left such a distate in my mouth because this was a special time for us and all she did was try to rush so she could leave. Not sure if I will give them another chance or not. read more

horrible nail place!!! i booked an acrylic tip set and a regular pedicure. first with my tips set the lady told me since i was going to not get them re filled she was not gong to do the acrylic tips and instead do a full nail tip which she told me would keep my nails on LONGER and not have them fall off as quick. she also told me that she was using a specific glue for the nails to keep them on LONGER as well. but.. that was certainly not the case. after not even 24 hours after i had gotten my nails done one of the nails has popped off. then a week later 2 popped off again. i had spend $75 dollars on these nails so for 3 of them to come off after a week really pissed me off after the nail tech told me about all the long lasting nail glue and tips she was putting on my nails. now on to the pedicure... the lady doing the pedicure barely scrubbed my feet and to top it off she cut me and i was bleeding on my toe. overall i will not be coming back to this salon. working do not care about there customers and do a half decent job. read more

I made a 5:15 appointment with a tech for a pedicure. She was in the middle of my pedicure when another lady came in and my tech that I booked with in advance left me and went to service another customer. I explained that I had an appointment and I don't understand how someone else can come in and my tech leave. The customer service was horrible because appointments are not honored. I asked for a manager and of course none was available. SMH! I wasn't given an explanation on why I received this type of treatment. I am sure if I looked like them I would not have been treated this way. I will not be returning and hope all blacks stay away. They didn't try to make things right, it was business as usual. They didn't apologize or anything. I am very disappointed because I drove 25 mins to this business to receive horrible treatment. This was honestly one of the worst experiences I've had at a nail salon. I walked out extremely unhappy with my nail. I got an acrylic fill and french. My nails actually look lumpy. All of the nails are a different shape. The french is uneven. I showed my nail tech a picture of what I wanted and the white part of the french looks like a straight line. I corrected her several times and my nails still look like shit. On top of all of this the place was dirty and my nail tech was dressed unprofessionally. Tomorrow is my prom. I now have to go somewhere else to get my nails fixed. The service was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for. read more

The best way to describe this place is that it is inconsistent. The first two times I came, I had luxurious pedicures that were so pampering I could not believe al the time and attention that the staff spent on me. Coupled with the price, it was a steal. I later learned that not all staff give the same attention. I don't think it's their fault necessarily, it looks like they get quite rushed during busy evenings and weekends. However, I had a very rushed and sloppy manicure and pedicure done for my wedding weekend. The color I selected turned out to be gloopy and thick. The paint was creating bubbles. I asked for a different color or for that to be fixed. The nail tech mixed some acetone in the bottle, but it didn't really do the trick. I had to get my nails redone elsewhere that time. I planned to give Spazio a three. However, I had a poor eyebrow experience today, too. My eyebrows were waxed by Betty, and I do not feel they match at all. I think one is noticeably thinner than the other. (Check out the attached photo to see if you think I'm being too critical!) Betty told me my eyebrows were uneven when I came in (I don't think so), and just sort of shrugged. I asked the cashier if anything could be done. She agreed with me they were asymmetrical, then fixed them herself (and even said that there are some waxers at Spazio that she doesn't think should be trusted to do brows). She salvaged them as much as she could, and I appreciated her honesty and help. However, I'll be spending the next 2-3 weeks with my newly purchased eyebrow pencils and know not give the waxing team here a second try. If you are gonna go, read up on which manicurists, pedicurists, and other staff are best! It can be a crapshoot. read more

I've been coming here now for 5 years . Boy how time flies. This is a big salon with many manicurist and pedicurist. Spazio has grown into a full service salon. First let me say this place does things right. All instruments are put in an autoclave to disinfect them. When you get a manicure they put lotion on your hands and massage it in, then they use clean hot towels and wrap your hands to help lock in moisture and relax you. After a manicure and while drying the manicurist will massage your neck for a few minutes. When Spazio expanded its operation over a year ago they got all new pedicure beds with remote control back vibrating massage. Now all pedicurist use disposal liners in each and every soak tub. Just another layer of protection. Spazio does a really nice job doing pedicures. My feet always look amazing. Sometimes I even get designs on them. They have several different kinds of pedicures. The basic and the spa pedicure. There is a difference in price depending on which one you choose. The basic starts at $20 and goes up. if you treat yourself to a spa pedicure they use hot stones and lotions, honey etc. It feels amazing! Just ask and they will explain it. I get acrylics with a gel overlay which really last me and I also get designs. Anna has done my nails for 5 years and does an amazing job. Check out all my nail pictures. The owner John takes tremendous pride in his shop and is always available and on site. I've seen some negative reviews, but I have never experienced them. I've always been greeted by a friendly hello from the staff and owner John every time I come in. I have been getting my nails manicured and designed for 35 years. I consider myself an expert in how they should be done. I've had every type of nail design and color imaginable depending on the trends. Spazio will shape your nails anyway you want. Round, Oval, Squoval, square, coffin, ballerina, stiletto. I would highly suggest that you make an appointment. Spazio Nails does accept walk-ins but if you like a certain manicurist or pedicurist its best to book ahead.You can make an appointment online or call directly. When you do call and give them your phone number. You will get an automatic text back confirming the date, time, and what type of appointment you booked. You will also get another reminder the day of your appointment. This salon is very busy on the weekends. It's a good idea to try and come during the week. The polish choices are endless. They must have over 500 gel colors, and hundreds and hundreds of non gel colors too. If there's something specific that you want, you should try to bring a picture or idea of what you want. I went in today for an appointment at Spazio for a full set of almond shaped acrylics. As soon as I walked in the atmosphere was professional. I arrived about ten minutes early for my appointment and was seated about five minutes after my appointment was scheduled. Netflix was playing for the clients to watch which was really nice especially when you have a long nail appointment like acrylics. Although the atmosphere was nice, I was just disappointed with the shape of my nails. They came out uneven and wonky. read more

My daughter and my nails are ruined from their service. I had been going to Spazio for a few years now and in the past few months the quality and service has gone downhill. In the past 3 months we had gone 3 times for regular manicures with gel polish. After the third time our nails are completely ruined. It turns out that the process they were using to take off our polish was absolutely wrong and totally destroyed our nails. Rather than using the gel remover and wrapping the nails for several minutes then removing the polish with a nail tool (which they used to always do) instead they used an electric drill bit to sand the polish off which removed layers of the nails. It is lazy and harmful. The last time we were there (which will be the last time ever) the electric file felt like it was burning my fingers because the nail had become so thin. Within 2 weeks all of my natural nails were broken, cracking, and painfully thin. read more

Not sure why so many negative reviews and it made me skeptical about coming here because it only got 3 stars but they were open so I figured why not? I'm really glad I did! Despite being so busy I only waited about 5-10 minutes. I got someone named Ashley and she did a really good job. She took her time and though she wasn't the most social she did a great job. The manager or the guy greeting everyone was really nice and polite and apologized for having to wait. I also think the price was really cheap or average compared to a lot of places in North Jersey. I paid 25$ for a gel refill which is really good in my opinion. I also had my square shaped nails shaped into stiletto nails and it didn't cost any extra despite the amount of time it took. Also, like how they massage your back while you're waiting for your nails to dry and though they only take cash for tips it's great having an ATM right there. Only con I really observed was that compared to nail places I've been before it didn't seem as clean but wasn't "gross". Overall really satisfied! I posted a picture as well! read more

i literally hate this place. I scheduled an appointment for 4pm with a lady named Kim. She hit my gucci ring with the nail drill multiple times. She was pulling on my nails so hard that i literally had to tell her that it's still attached to my hand. Not only that but she also cut my skin with the files and the drill she used. When I get there Mariam wasn't available, so they gave me someone else. After getting my gel mani/pedi. They gave me a receipt for $50 gel pedicure and $40 gel manicure. I explained to the lady that when I booked online it said $62 and she told me that the gel mani/pedi meant a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I explained to her that it It does not specify that online that only the manicure was gel. I was unaware of this. I needed a quick in and out polish change on my hands and feet. The manager assigned me to a station right away. This is a very busy place with many stations. I appreciated that they still filed my nails and trimmed my cuticles despite not having had the time for an actual mani-pedi. My nails looked great. I had spa manicure and pedicure a few days ago by a manicurist named Elizabeth at Spazio Nails. Let's just say I would never come back here again. It felt like a factory of nail salon. Granted my appointment was scheduled a couple hours before closing, I would expect to have a decent service for medi/pedi spa. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like I had a medi/pedi spa. I got a minute of message on your hands and feet as part of the medi/pedi spa. Is this considered a medi/pedi spa? Elizabeth spent more time talking with her co-workers than providing service to me. This review is long overdue... I have been getting my nails done for 18+ years... When I moved to Westfield 3 years ago, I tried 5 nail salons near me, and to no avail, couldn't find one that I liked. I searched on the internet for a salon outside of my area, and that's when I came across Spazio Nails. I decided to walk-in rather than make an appointment and John the owner took me. He was great!!! I was used to getting an acrylic fill-in with a white french airbrush, but he told me he was going to use a different method. I was a little nervous at first, but after he was done, I was amazed by the beautiful job he did. I went to John for awhile, but one day he was completely booked so he told me to try Jason. I have been going to Jason ever since, and I will NOT go to anyone else, lol! Jason does a pink and white acrylic fill for me... Not only does he do a perfect job, but I can go every 3 weeks to get my nails done. And I type on the computer every day for work, my nails are definitely exposed to a lot of wear and tear. Also, Jason is super friendly!!! He's great to talk to, and he gives the BEST massage at the completion of your appointment. I've recently moved to Cranford and refuse to try anywhere else. Spazio Nails is wonderful, and Jason is incredible!!! I highly recommend this location, and make an appointment to try Jason or John! And if you need a pedicure - I only go to Lucy. First of all, I come in for a pedicure . The lady was asking for me a pedicure as if this place doesn't do pedicure . Her tone , obviously rude . Then , I Go to pick a color , and I look down to check my phone , and she coincidentally saw me and asked me to follow her, I then ask can I finish picking a color because I was giving 2 minutes Total to choose a color apparently . This was my first and only time here. The best way I can describe this place is a massage c**k tease. To paint a picture I exercise a lot and my legs and feet happened to be very sore today so I was REALLY looking forward to a massage. I got a pedicure and the woman put the lotion on my legs and feet and massaged for probably less than a minute. Lotion was still visible on my legs cause it wasn't rubbed in during the "massage". Then she brought out a hot stone, which I was excited for! It felt AMAZING for the 2 seconds it was on. Needles to say I was disappointed. Oh and all during this time she didn't say a word to me. I attempted to initiate conversation and she would smile and say something back then go back to silence or speaking Spanish to the woman at the next chair. Finally when I thought my disappointment was over I went to the table to get my toes dried and she started massaging my shoulders which I hadn't expected. Great place that is extremely clean and very nice staff. Linda does amazing pedicures she is extremely attentive and does not rush the service at all! I had a bad ingrown and she took her time to take it out. Very nice and polite! Their prices are a little overpriced but the service and atmosphere is worth it! They also have the gel polish ($5 extra) which is different than regular gel manicures because it does not involve use of the UV machine. Came all the way from Georgia on a last minute trip and I was due for a little maintenance. I'm unsure of who did my pedicure, but I absolutely had to get the name of my nail tech. I've been getting my nails done since I was 15 (because I have long nail beds and I bite my nails) well I'm 31 now and this is the best fill in/ manicure I have ever had. I highly recommend this establishment and ask for Jason. He did a fantastic job and the massage at the end made me wish I could put him in my purse and run out. Lol Thank you Jason. $90 for gel nails with a French tip and no extensions. If I knew how expensive it was going to be I would not have gone here and would have just gone to a different salon farther away that I trust to have LCN done with extensions for the same price, I just thought I'd give this place a try since I just moved to the area and did not want to drive to my old salon. The online system makes scheduling confusing and I thought it was going to be $60. On a couple of my nails the gel extends past the nail and on to my finger flesh, while on other nails the gel didn't make it all the way to the bottom and there is bare nail exposed. I didn't notice this until a couple hours after I left the salon and was staring at the nails for a bit. Also the paint for the French tips doesnt even go all the way to the end of the nail. The nail tech was very nice and gentle, however, and I know she does not decide the price of the nails and it is up to her boss. If I had noticed the mistakes before I left the salon, I would have asked her to fix them but I had already asked her to redo other parts of the nails and felt bad.
