I have been going there for years. Jackie is a pleasure. The place is clean. It's a relaxing place to get a haircut.

I made an appointment for a facial and massage. Upon arrival, they said they can't do my massage and facial, only one can be done and I will need to come back. I asked why the same courtesy of advance notice wasn't offered so I could plan my day, I was told, we don't know. I opted to do my facial and was told I had to wait 30mins because the person was not ready to begin. They didn't have anyone else there, they just chose not to do it, therefore, I ended up leaving. My gift card of $200 has now expired and I can't use it. I took the day off work to pamper myself and this was the WORST experience. I will only change this review if the business makes things right. read more

My wife bought a gift card just before the pandemic. My daughter went to use it almost 2 years after. (They were closed for a while in between and could not redeem it) They refused the gift card saying it expired. In New Jersey gift cards/certificates can not expire. My wife talked to the manager and they would not budge. They not only lost clients but I am considering a small claims court suit. I did notice they push gift cards on almost every page of their website, I wonder how often they are breaking the law while accepting money but not rendering a service. read more

I had unforeseen circumstances for a no show. My parents got covid , then I ended up with covid the day before my appointment. The place first called me & I had told them I forgot, because I was trying to reach my doctor for antiviral medication. They called me back saying how irresponsible I was . I told them that they were not being empathetic, especially when my mind can't think but to breathe. The lady kept on & on telling me about a fee that I could care less about when my health was in jeopardy as well as my parents who I couldn't even help, This place did not care about me at a time I needed. Have been going here since it opened in its new location in the center of town. The owner, Ruth, gives an amazing facial. I highly recommend it. She is very educated on what type of facial will be best for your skin. In addition to facials they also do massages, hair, waxing, nails and pedicures. She honored the new client special and even added a bonus light treatment as a no-cost courtesy to combat some flare-ups I was experiencing. She didn't try to sell me anything or pressure me into any upgrades and she was thorough in gathering the information necessary to understand my skincare needs. Amazing!!! I am 38 weeks pregnant and went for a day of pampering before the baby comes and I couldn't be happier about my experience. I received a spa pedicure and manicure from Ana, who was incredible. My swollen feet and ankles loved every second of her fantastic massage! I also saw Ruth for a prenatal massage and she was amazing as well. My entire body has been aching and sore these last few weeks and she gave me a wonderful massage, checking to make sure I was comfortable and the pressure was okay. Aside from the wonderful services I received, the spa and staff in and of themselves are great. The spa is beautiful and immaculate, it is obvious they take great care of this location, and all of the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. Walked in tonight with my mom hoping to get a last minute appointment for two manicures and one pedi. The woman who greeted us Ruth (I'm assuming was the owner) was so cordial and was able to squeeze us in. The decor is very modern and chic, I was admiring everything while I was getting my nails done. As far as the manicure goes, the woman shaped, filed and polished them perfectly. BUT the massage was what turned me off. I'm in the industry and I work with my hands so it's so important to me to have a good massage. Everything that she did would have felt amazing if she slowed down. I understand most people don't even care about the massage but it's something that I always pay attention to. Other than that I loved it. She was so sweet and they even told us they normally close at 6 but they stay if people come in, which I think is awesome. My mom loved her mani/pedi... It was done by someone different I believe her name was Laura. We will definitely be back, I'm curious to try their other services! read more

Able Body Spa is an oasis of peace and relaxation in the middle of suburban NJ. I have been to other places, but no one compares to Ruth. She listens to you and gives you the time that you need. She has a unique way of knowing what your body needs without you even having to express it to her. I am an avid runner and she has helped me recover from numerous running injuries. She also gives massages that relax and restore the body. She is not only great at what she does, but she is a such a kindhearted woman as well and really cares about her clients.
