I wanted to love this place but there were things left to be desired. I booked a gel full set with design and pedicure, I love that they are open on Sunday(actually 7 days a week) but I didn't love how long it took to get serviced. I literally was in the salon from 11am - 2pm which was long! I asked for a French gel polish on my toes, but ended up with pink polish-which while it's nice- it's not the traditional French which is clear base. The white lines for the French are not crisp and they are crooked, and I have a really nasty cut on my foot from the tools. As far as my full set, the final outcome is really pretty- but the amount of time it took to do them was INSANE. The nail tech Zoe was very agitated and not friendly when I attempted to clarify what I was asking for design wise and shape. I literally was uncomfortable to continue asking her questions. Overall, if you're in a pinch - you can go, but overall I wouldn't say this is the best option overall. read more

I've been coming here for years and never had an issue but I was extremely disappointed today when I went in for a gel manicure. They overcharged me and did nothing to acknowledge their mistake. They used a "stong base" and didn't ask if I wanted it or that it was an extra $10. When I asked them about the increase in price, they assured me a regular manicure was $50. That was a lie. On their website a regular gel is $40. That is not a way to run a business and extremely unprofessional. read more

I've been coming here for probably 7 years, through many different owners/managements. The current management is terrible. I am not super picky about my nails, I always get almond shape gel manicure, no design. The last gel manicure I got was THICK and so gloppy and rushed. No cuticle work, barely any buffing, and the shaping is terrible. I had to fix it myself when I got home. The woman used the machine to get the old gel off rather than letting it soak because they are all in such a rush all the time. As I said before, I've come here for such a long time and they are running this place into the ground- it's dusty and dirty which it has never been before. The employees are rude and pushy because they overbook themselves, especially on the weekends (I had an appointment) Do yourself a favor and go to one of the many other nail salons around here. Upsetting that I've spent so much money here and I'll never return. read more

Salon has new owner since my last visit and quality has definitely declined. No more hand washing after filing; instead, the technician squirted some supposed antiseptic on my nails. It also appeared to me that technician used tools on me that she used on her last customer without sterilizing. I should have said something then, but I hesitated. She also cut my nails too short and didn't shape them well. Lastly, the new owner doesn't honor the rewards program from the prior owner, and I had enough credits to pay for this service. Really poor customer relations! I won't be returning. read more

I WAS a repeat customer for some time here. Today I brought my own builder gel base for them to use and they charged an additional $5 (the bottle costs $10 on Amazon, they charge $10 if you use theirs). First they lied to me and said they don't use that base and when I showed them the photo of the bottle from my prior visit they then said there was a fee to use my own base. I believe that this completely takes advantage of customers. They were very rude to me when I inquired about the reasoning for extra charge as bringing your own polish is common practice- they couldn't explain except for saying that it's like bringing your own steak to a restaurant to have them cook for free. This ability makes no sense because I wasn't asking for a free manicure, I was paying for it. I will not be returning to this establishment and will find another salon that values customers. read more

First visit to this immaculate spa, required to wear a mask and wash hands on entry. Owner meticulous cleaning and organizing during visit. Had Basic ManiPedi $38, pedicure done by Sarah and manicure by Angie. Angie has to be the best manicurists I have had for my troubled short nails. Polished to perfection. DO NOT RECOMMEND. This was my second (and last) time at this salon. they messed up my nails the first time and redid them. i get dip powder and I truly don't think they know how to do it. I've gotten my nails done for over a year with dip and they never chip or break before this salon. within 2 days of getting my nails done, I had 3 chipped nails and went back in. i asked to get them taken off because they were going to keep breaking. they said they'd charge me $15 to take them off after I paid $60 for the manicure. Now a week after they fixed two of the nails, every single one of my nails has chipped or broken off. Would absolutely NOT recommend this place read more

I used to love coming to this salon. I would come religiously every 3 weeks for a gel manicure and a pedicure. Last week, the pedicure was awful, the woman who did the pedicure was distracted and kept speaking to the owner, I believe they were rushing her, my feet weren't pumiced the polish was smudged,and my feet didn't get lotion. Previously, when I got my manicure it would last for 3 weeks, without fail. The past few times the polish has been peeling after a few days. I feel like the techs are rushed and don't any longer care. I went to pay and the prices increased drastically. I am very disappointed, and probably will not be back. read more

Went in today for a pedicure. Was seated right away. The salon was quiet and spotless. The woman who seated me (I assume she's the manager) showed me a price list and asked me if I wanted to try one of the speciality pedicures. I had booked a regular pedicure just twenty minutes prior so no thank you. The lady who did my toes was very polite but kept trying to make conversation. I come to relax .. you have to respect the clients right to silence. This is some people's only time to zone out. After using an abrasive sugar scrub on my legs that turned them bright red, I had a VERY light pressure "massage". The tech kept pressing down on points on my feet and staying there... I assume she was trying to do pressure point massage but this isn't how you do pressure point massage.. it was interesting. She then globbed 5 coats of polish on my big toes and 3 on the others.. I may not agree with the technicians technique but the end result turned out okay. The polish looks even and shiny. The massage was not good and it wasn't relaxing but the tech was professional and attentive. By the time I sat down to dry, I figured okay I tried it and didn't like it, no big deal. What upset me was the manager, as soon as I paid she looked at my toes and said "one more minute and you are dry." The place was empty and the minute she got my money, I was being ushered out. I told her I needed to dry longer than a minute. 3 minutes later she calls over my pedicure lady to put quick dry on my toes. I've never been ushered out of a salon! It wasn't busy, there wasn't a need for my seat and honestly, I was very put off by her demeanor. The price ($26 plus tip) is on the higher end and I've had better experiences for less money in the area. To be fair, the owner was attentive and seemed kind so I may be extra sensitive but I did feel like I was being rushed out as soon as I paid my bill... VERY odd. I'm so disappointed with my last fill appointment. I have been going to the same nail tech for over a year. my nails were overgrown a little and it had been three and a half weeks since last visit. On mail needed repair. I was the first appointment at 9:30 and immediately my nail tech said your nails are overgrown. It's been probably four weeks. Ok, I cam as soon as I had oppurtunity. She proceeds to tell me that my nails are all peeling from the sides. I explained that I'm in the pool at camp with campers every day so maybe it's the chlorine.. She proceeded to pull my arm, pushed on my hand. Tell me my chair is too low and I'm moving too much. I said you seem a little agitated. Maybe you want to take a break She said it was me. It was the most uncomfortable service. When I went to pay, the gentleman told me she gave me a discount on the repair I said please charge me the extra five dollars for the repair. He said it was $15! I was going to chalk it up to a bad day, but that was just the worst experience I ever had and it will not be returning. They just lost a customer. read more

Also, the owner added 5% to my total after he saw I was paying with a card. I told him that's unlawful, to which he replied "no problem", and repeated the original price. Bliss is a beautiful, brand new nail salon on South Avenue in Westfield. When stepping in the door, I was greeted with smiles by the owner and employees. The salon is spotless! They also have ventilation so it doesn't smell like most salons do. I got a regular pedicure and manicure. It was very reasonably priced and they both came out great. They also gave great massages during the mani/pedi and after while I was drying my nails. It's also very quiet and relaxing, which was so nice after a long day. Aside from great service, I found everyone to be so friendly and welcoming. The owner chatted with me while I was drying my nails and she was so sweet. This review is long overdue. I have been on the search for a good nail salon for over a year now. For me, it's about the quality of the manicure/pedicure, along with the amount of time it takes. I get antsy and usually have a packed day, so I don't want to spend 2-3 hours getting my nails done every other week. Bliss is amazing for this. They have SNS for my nails and the mani pedi combo never takes more than 1.5 hours. Today was only an hour! Hannah is meticulous with her nail sculpting and everyone here does a great massage. I had Heidi for today's pedicure and will be requesting her again! I highly recommend this salon. They are good at customer service, good at nails and excellent at respecting your time so you are done quickly! read more

I had the worst experience here. My gel manicure came out terrible and it was extremely overpriced. My hands were filed uneven and she ended up filing my skin and was frustrated with me after asking her to be careful because it hurt. When I asked her to make the left hand match the length of the right hand she said they are, they just look uneven because my nail beds are different. The nails on One hand were filed significantly shorter than the other and it looks so bad. Then I asked for a sparkle over the sheer color i chose, which I do every time, and they tried to charge me 5 dollars for 3 coats of polish bc the 3rd was a different color. When I told her I didn't want 3 coats of polish because it would look too thick and I didn't want to pay $5 extra, she still did 3 coats, but with the same sheer color! I asked her to stop painting them and she yelled at me saying I have poor communication and that 3 of the nails already dried and I have to keep it. Knowing I was unhappy and I told her I didn't like how it came out I Obviously had to pay the full $62 for a pedicure and gel manicure, I tipped the manicurist and pedicurist for their time, and for voicing my frustration during the pedicure I was mocked on my way out by the owner. They should be embarrassed on how poor their customer service is. I will never, ever, return and I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Yesterday was my first visit to Bliss in Westfield and it will be my last. First, my pedicure was very quick, hardly any attention to calluses, a very brief lotion/massage on my feet & calves. But that was nirvana compared to my gel manicure - to the manicurist i said that i have a broken nail to be repaired - ring finger right hand and same hand middle finger i have a nail that has a permanent split nail that needs to be built up every month to keep it from splitting. OK i assumed she heard me since she was nodding and telling me ok. She started the polish, stopped her asked are you going to repair the broken nail? Oh yeah, she said and built the nail up so thick that i have skin now that is stuck under the acrylic and is painful - I will go somewhere else to fix it because i will not go back there - i can't even touch the nail it hurts. Also, as i was going thru this two hour gel manicure i witnessed a man (don't know if he is one of the owners or what) but he was walking up and down the center aisle of the salon and slyly picked up tips from the girls doing the pedicures. Very sketchy at best - I never, ever leave negative reviews but in this case it was so glaringly awful that I could not let it go. I feel bad for the employees but the leadership there needs to be looked into. read more

I went to Bliss with my three daughters for pedicures in August 2020. The salon was immaculately clean and took every possible health precaution--temperature checks, handwashing upon entering, both masks and face shields for the staff, and masks required for customers. The staff was very friendly and took almost a full hour for our pedicures, which were fantastic. It was easy to park in the lot on the side of the building. We'll be coming back soon. read more

I am a convert! With so many places in Westfield, this is my new favorite. Hannah took almost 45 minutes taking off my old gels to ensure that my real nails were not damaged. No drills! This place got the memo that a salon appointment should be quiet and peaceful! No cell phones or screaming kids! I left feeling like a million bucks. Great gel mani with a ton of color options.
