Personal pepperoni pizza
Rae P.

Tried out Blondie's while I was in Berkeley today visiting my college student. It was getting dark so we did a Grubhub then ran in to get it. I will say, the personal pizza was super flavorful oozing cheese with tasty pepperoni and thick crust. I did appreciate it being hot. I'd say it was a good 14.00 spent. Oh the service was good too, I picked up in no time after placing the order. It wasn't crowded which was good.

Haven't been back in over 30 years! While the slices are larger than I remembered them, I feel they're also doughier, which I grew out of as my taste matured over the years. The sauce, cheese and toppings which were plentiful tasted great. I just prefer thinner crusts now.

We had seen someone carrying a slice of Blondie's Pizza that looked and smelled really good, so the next time we were in the area around lunch time we had to try it. We went with a large pepperoni sausage pizza. After taking it home, about an hour away, it was still warm and tasted good. The reason for the low rating is because I do not like thick crust pizza. The flavor was ok, but not enough to look past the thick crust that I do not care for, so I will most likely not go back. The location is clean and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, it works for people who like that thick crust style of pizza.

Cheese slices

Solid food and large slices for $8. I personally wishes slices were smaller and cheaper so I could get multiple different slices, but oh well. Some people's go-to spot for pizza in the area. I liked how the tomato sauce was just straight tomato and not sweet or anything. At pickup, you get a cheese pull but it is not sloppy. When it cools, cheese doesn't get hard either. Make sure to order ahead as it can be crowded and wait times can be long.

Blondie's is a Berkeley institution. I went quite a bit in college, always an essential stop when visiting friends. The pizza is huge and delicious --it was more than just nostalgia! There is nothing special about the service but the place was very cleaned up from last time I was there.

Menu for whole pies

Not the most amazing pie given all the upper urust gourmet pizza places that have opened in Berkeley. But Blondie's still knows how to crank out slices that are very satisfying for a quick bite. I got their classic pepperoni and it still plentifully loaded with beef pepperoni on a slice sizable enough to make you think twice before ordering two of them. I stuck with one. Something about the texture does not say dough prepared daily to my palate. Still, it's quick and delicious. The spicy tomato sauce and four cheese blend offer a nice balance to the doughy crust. Slices start as $6.99 for cheese. Vegetarian and a daily special are also available. Whole pies too -- $14 for a small cheese pie. 12 varieties to choose from and sizes ranging from 10' to the 22" Godzilla pizza. Not to mention wings or breadsticks. Order from a cashier or, when it's busy, a kiosk. For seating, there are only 3 small tables + 3 chairs at the window counter. Lot's of standing room or it's easy food to walk with. If you can't find street parking, the Telegraph-Channing lot is relatively inexpensive at $3/hour. Enter from Channing Way or Durant Ave.

Nostalgia much? I grew up with Blondie's Pizza. I have loved this place since I was a teenager & I love it even more now. For more than one reason. For one it brings back so many good memories, Blondie's always makes me happy. The second reason is they now have 100% BEEF PEPERONI! You heard me, 100% BEEF PEPPERONI! For some people that's not a big deal. For someone who hasn't eaten pork their whole life & always has to avoid getting pepperoni on their pizza, its a HUGE freaking deal. I love, love, love when the rare occasion happens that I get to enjoy BEEF PEPPERONI on my pizza. OK besides that, the pizza is amazing. I was literally closing my eyes and in my happy place the whole time. Now for those that never had BEEF PEPPERONI, please go try it. It is so much higher quality than pork pepperoni, so I've been told. I plan to make many more trips in the near future, thats how excited it made me. By the way I loved the cheese just as much, yum yummy. Pro tip: parking is hard, obviously, downtown Berkeley and all. So either walk, Uber, find parking, take the bus, or do as I do and tag team it and drop off a friend to go order for the whole car and drive around until they are ready to be picked up. Do what you have to, just get there. Now go enjoy yourself, you can thank me later.

Went to Cal game last Saturday afternoon and after the game before heading home I had to stop at an old stomping ground and grab a slice. When I got there decided to go with a slice I was unfamiliar with,Hyphy slice, has pepperoni, pineapple, olives and jalapeños with some extra cheese thrown on top.It really was tasty, really hit the spot when u need that quick bite before the long drive home. If u ever find yourself in Berkeley and want a quality slice,u can't go wrong choosing Blondies, still great after all these years...

I love Blondie's! My favorite pizza in Berkeley. The crust is so fresh & fluffy. I think about the sauce long after my pizza is gone My favorite is pepperoni. The staff is friendly, perceptive and accommodating. One of my favorite ways of dining is to look out on the street while eating. Berkeley is a vibrant city and viewing it from Blondie's is one of my favorite pastimes. If you are coming by car, there is street parking.

Walked up to the kiosk to place an order for pizza for my staff. The kiosk makes ordering easy, but this place gets busy. You can still get a good slice of pizza from them. They have seats for this place, but mostly it's for going.

I rarely crave pizza, but when I do it's blondies. This is a staple in my home - my husband is originally from SF and there's nothing better than showing him what the best pizza is around Berkeley. For some reason, it's hard for me to get it delivered because I believe it taste so much better when you pick it up and add the toppings there.

Pizza is always good here. Service is always welcoming. Ambience it depends what day you come it's lit here.

Blondie's is such a classic Bay Area spot. It's been around forever, and it definitely has that old-school pizza joint vibe. The slices are solid, not the best you'll ever have, but good enough to hit the spot. They charge $1 for ranch. For me, there's a lot of nostalgia tied to this place, so grabbing a slice always brings back memories.

Classic Berkeley pizza. Same as the 1980s - just as good as when I was a kid! The employees are sweet and give the place a great vibe.

Long time customer since my college days here. I was here the first week after they rebuilt after…read morethe fire, and so I've seen the quality start high and remain after all these years. Came for a dinner pickup to-go on a weekday evening. Things I love: - HUGE portions: all other considerations aside, I'd always default to splitting a meal or counting on leftovers. Their salads and sandwiches both are served in generous portions, which helps justify the cost, which itself is not that unreasonable to begin with. - Seating: nice areas inside, as well as an outdoor space that's shared with the neighboring bar. During the daytime when the bar is not open, the back space is a great area to spread out in, and even work in with a small group. - Staff: I read a few negative reviews about the staff here, but I have had nothing but positive experiences, especially given the high customizability of the meals here, they do a great job accommodating requests and making sure you have the meal that you're expecting. - Breakfast burritos: gotta shoutout my favorite breakfast burritos. These things literally sustained me all of junior year, and are a great value for what you're paying.

LOVED the thick side of sliced bread!! Lightly sweet and very earthy tasting. The menu isn't very intuitive--the "salad" menu sign doesn't show the protein options; the proteins are under the "sandwiches" sign. I admittedly stepped into the line underprepared, but the staff here could be so much kinder lol. Latte was alright. A tad too bitter for my taste. They have extensive indoor and patio seating. Great place to meet up with a friend or two and grab a quick/easy food.

Service both times was quick and friendly. Their agua frescas were so refreshing! 5/5 for their fried cauliflower with green sriracha (which is more like a cilantro crema situation - so good!) I knock one star because as expected, these salads are not cheap. Granted, one salad bowl can be split into more if you're not a big eater. I supposed you're also paying for quality - everything was fresh! Ambiance was bright, clean, and quiet. I saw some students studying. Everything sounded good and looked good on the Uber Eats menu. Thought it would be worth a try. Really disappointed with the food taste, quality and presentation. Instant NO for me if I would have known. On top of that, they heat the food inside the plastic. In 2026. In Berkeley CA. Unbelievable. How? My southwest scramble was heated most likely in a microwave and the plastic on the lid of the container is a bit melted. How appetizing. Whoever called this soggy piece of factory manufactured slop an English muffin please tell me how you imagined humans would find this appetizing. Every bite screamed "this is worse than mcdonalds." Love this place! I am new to poke and have only had it at the Wow! The Hawaiian Lemonade place…read morelocated around the corner from Poke Bar. Both are great, but I like Poke Bar more as I feel you get more protein and food for the price, super fresh fish (cut smaller than Wow, but feels like I am getting more, plus I have the option of asking for tofu as an option!). I love all of the add-ins (fried garlic goes great with fish and is so good without being too overpowering, far less overpowering than fried onions), the sauces are great, I like being able to have brown rice without being charged extra (ahem, Wow Lemonade ;) ), the seaweed salad is delicious and the food was so good that right after I took the first bite I made an audible sound and rolled my eyes it was so good. I had to be chill about it, but dang, Poke Bar rocks! I also like that it is a tiny bit more affordable, and you get more food for the price. So much food that I wasn't able to finish my medium-sized bowl. Only detractor is that I wish their krab was krab salad and not just krab. And I wish that as far as two sides go, that I could get two sides of krab and just mix in one of their sauces and some wasabi and make my own krab salad. Only negative about the place is that they don't offer bags with handles, just regular brown smaller grocery bags. So, if they stepped it up a notch and had branded bags I think that would help to promote their business more since they are located in a somewhat out-of-the-way spot. Definitely come and check this place out. Super fast service, okay seating, great, great, GREAT fresh fish, and such an umami flavor. Tip: get a mix of white and brown rice to make it a tad bit healthier and get some more fiber (if you don't want to go fully salad style and get greens. Or be wild and get all three options as the base!).

I think I just discovered my favorite restaraunt of all time in Berkeley. Though the exterior of…read morethe restaraunt is unassuming, and the building itself is quite small with limited seating, the interior is still very clean and neat, and the workers are very nice. I placed an online order for the C Chicken Momos and the Garlic Cheese Naan, which were both phenomenal. The naan was some of the best I've ever had. It was so fluffy, thick, and pillowy soft, and was not overly charred/thin or too crispy like other naan. Just pure doughy goodness. There was also a perfect amount of cheese filling--enough that you got the subtle kick of milky acidity, but not too overpowering. The naan itself was also not too greasy, and the garlic flavor was very aromatic. You could also taste a hint of the slight tartness from (I'm assuming) the yogurt used to make the naan. The "C" Chicken Momos came with eight large pieces, which is definitely enough to fill you up. The sauce tasted like a classic sweet-and-sour sauce with a very mild and pleasant spice. Also, because the dumplings were fried, they were crispy despite being covered in sauce, but still had a bit of the nice chew you would get from a steamed momo skin. The fillings themselves were also super flavorful: you get a herbal and fresh taste from the ginger, which balanced the tanginess of the sauce so the meal did not feel too heavy, and the subtle nuttiness and pepperiness of cumin in each bite. The dumplings also had some warm broth in them, which is perfect for a cold day. The prices are fair too. You can often find small discounts on Snackpass or delivery apps like GrubHub. Needless to say, I will definitely be coming back. Totally recommend!
